Awful scam scam - stay away

Review: Absolutely Dreadful is an understatement.

Stay away big time. Anyone reading this please, please stay away.

I signed up in October and only managed to get the full refund 6 months later.

If you have signed up, follow the steps below:

1) If payed by paypal, put a dispute in as a false product and claim the money back. You have up to 45 days I think. (I missed the deadline by 3 days. )

2) Make sure you email the company within the 60 day money back guarantee and keep copies of all your emails sent as proof.

Use the following contacts: Email all three of the addresses all the time til you get a refund, no matter how long it takes to get a refund.

Here are some helpful people to email.

support@homewebsitecenter.com

nick@nbonlinemarketing.com

kayako@homewebsitecenter.com (Adam)

Funny the websites they set up are still online. (Never made a penny) Of course they will never work and have links so you will never make any money. Hope that helps.

Has anyone made money out of this?

I've been doing it for a month now and after reading the comments, I decided to cancel. When I emailed support they offered me instant customers for free. So even if I do get traffic, I think the recommended price is too high. The x traffic system was misleading saying no experience needed, but I found I had to write blogs, etc, not automatic, push a few buttons and get 70 thousand visitors overnight. I will give it a go but doesn' t look good. Has anyone made money out of it?

From personal experience, homewebsite center is a SCAM!

If you're thinking of signing up with Home Website Center, I'm telling you DON'T EVER waste your time and money with them. It's absolutely a scam. I signed up on April 8,2011 and I ended up paying almost $100 to get 10 useless ebooks. Then the following day I received a call from an agent offering me a chance to earn unbelievable sum of money if I sign-up with them doing online marketing for big time search engine companies like google, ebay and amazon. At first, I thought they were genuine but when they started asking me if I have a credit card, debit card or paypal account I became suspicious so I just told them to ring me back the following day with my final decision. Next day, they rang again saying that all the requirements to set up my account are ready and they only need me to give them the detail of my credit card. So that made me even more doubtful so I just said "sorry but I am no longer interested" and suddenly the person I was talking to gave an unfriendly response in a disappointed tone saying "I suppose success isn't for everyone" then he hang up.

Regarding refunds, don't wait for the 60-day money back guarantee. If you happen to sign up before reading all the comments here, do it NOW like what I did. Don't waste your time sending refund request with HMC as they will just delay and lure you until you reach the 60-day period. I know it because that's what I did at first. You have to contact the ones who processed your payments like Paypal or whoever sent you the e-receipts. And you have to be firm and specific about your reasons when making a refund request. I told them that the products I purchased were scams. I emailed support@inetsquared.com(Plimus Sales) for my VIP package refund and did the same thing with paypal's resolution center for my Pro-account and Automatic Traffic System. Thankfully, I got replies just within 20 minutes saying that all my refunds for 4 items were successful.

I hope that you'll get your refunds too. Let's keep spreading the news about HMC's scam.

HUGE Waste of Money and Time

This Website is a scam that will drain your wallet. They will bring you in, telling you that you will make money on the first day. Two months in and not a dime. They actually continue to ask for more and more money. Example: If you give us more money we will put you in our VIP area and you will get plenty of hits on your websites. When this happens, you guessed it. They will ask for more money, but NO MONEY, except what you are paying. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DON'T GET SUCKERED!

Unbelievale : refunded !

Hello,

As a lot of you I have been scammed by HWC. However, from some of your comments, I understood that if I am diligent and patient, all can arrive. Yes, I have been refunded, totally refunded, about 135 USD. The most important is to get your transaction numbers from paypal. No matter if you purchased last year. My purchase was at the end of November. But my initial request for refund was during the 60 guarantee days. So, once you've got your paypal numbers, you send a diligent email to both clickbank (paypal@clickbank.com) and HWC (2 adresses: nick@nbonlinemarketing.com and Home Website Center [support@homewebsitecenter.com]). Don't forget to mention this IMReportCard blog, and also to start a dispute on your paypal account, even if delay is out. Doing so has given very fast results: in less than a week, (emails sent end of March, 28th) money was back today (4th of April)! But, between January and beginning of March I have sent maybe 50 or more emails to HWC support, without any result. So be patient, be diligent, and most important of all : keep away of HWC :-)

regards jlh35

HWC just refunded me

I just joined HWC a few days and got fed up when they emailed me to upgrade this and that to drain out my pocket. So I found this site which a few commented that they did not get their refund. I got skeptical so I emailed HWC twice for a refund and also I requested Paypal to escalate my refund. I received back to those I paid... like being PRO member, the instant-customer & also that unlimited website instant customer.

Well I wish a great thankful to HWC for being prompt. Make money from home is not that easy and free after all...

fuhhh... relieved!

Stay away this is a scam!

After paying about 170 Euro I realized at the end that this is a scam! I have sent multiple e-mails to paypal and seller but no response.

But after continuous mails to Paypal, Clickbank and seller I have been fully refunded. Keep sending them mails all day. At least that's what I did :)

I have included in my mails to Paypal and Clickbank the number of the transaction(you can find that on receipt they have sent you).

The e-mails of seller are(nick@nbonlinemarketing.com, support@homewebsitecenter.com) telephone number(+44 8454754455) I hope this information I have to give you is helpful good luck!

This is a skank

Cant believe I was stupid enough to go ahead with this scam!

I have been trying to get my money back for over 3 weeks but just receive automatic emails in reply, nothing stating anything about a refund.

Can any1 advise what I should do as I am really unhappy with the service. This is a scam.

What have I done

People always told me that if it's too good to be true then it is, how true of HWC. Looking to work a bit more from home I was duped into signing up and 10 minutes later I was £100 out of pocket. I received 10 websites, well in fact 5 and the other 5 were basically duplicates of the first. Bombarded with e-mails trying to get me to spend more money, basically saying the scheme doesn't work if you don't. My details were then passed on to every other fraudster and my inbox is constantly full. A REFUND I THOUGHT, wrong! Great at e-mailing you when they want your hard earned cash. Automated just like everthing else, WE ARE DEALING WITH YOUR REQUEST, PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY E-MAILS OR THIS WILL SLOW THE PROCESS DOWN? Anyway contacted clickbank who the who deal with the payment and have received one refund so far. Let this be a warning for you. STAY WELL CLEAR.

Please DON'T buy this product!

I knew I was taking a risk buying this product that says will make money working from home, but never did I know they'd call me and try to get over $9,000 from me after that. Someone called me saying they wanted me to be a "Success Story" which is how they make money. By putting the "Success Stories" out on the internet it attracts people to buy the product. They told me they were willing to invest their time and money to get a coach for me and help me learn how to make the business work. In other words I would have never made any money supposedly without their help. They explained to me how it works and it all sounded really good, but then they started asking me how many credit cards I had and what the limits on them were. That started to sound fishy, but they covered it by saying they only wanted responsible people that paid their bills which shows them they can succeed doing this (working from home). I told them I couldn't give them an answer right away and the man I was speaking to on the phone got quite aggressive saying they only wanted "Serious" people and needed an answer that day, meaning on the phone. I'm glad I came to my senses and realized no one should demand an answer from you right away, it just doesn't seem right. I hung up on the man and am very glad I did so. By the way, they ask a lot of reasons of why you want to work from home and then use that against you when you try and back out of what they are trying to sell to you. Don't fall for it!

I have invested $10 so far

I made a $10 payment through paypal to them and wanted to upgrade to pro but before upgrading to pro I thought of looking for reviews about it. And thank God I came here and saved the rest of my money otherwise I would have also wasted more then $200. I will try to get that $10 refund through paypal but don't know if I will get it back or not.

How You Detect "Business-scams"?

Luckily, I did a bit more research when I got this offer. The fake sale strategy, the look of the websites and the ease to set-up, got me too. I did set-up my free account, test the program and it was convincing, but...

I get into a lot of business online and I, too, was lured into a lot of business schemes. I learned from my mistakes and I decided to product "review" this HWC. I did not arrive at this website (IMR) but the site I was browsing around illustrates the same distaste-fullness-nests toward this program.

I can say I was lucky this time around. We sometime can be very impulsive shoppers; we need to be aware, now. The internet makes it some-what easier for us to find out about any product.

I believe more should be done to get these businesses proper classifications. They are simply taking advantage of hard working people and there should be more investigation into this...

As for all of us who got nabbed by these outdated business concepts, we need to get involved with business groups and learn about internet marketing; this is the concept that reach you far and beyond...

Don't Buy - This product is a SCAM!

I paid $67.95 for Home Website Center and then $19.95 to Upgrade my account. Upgrade meant that I received some ebooks on marketing my sites and was able to create "unlimited" websites. Setting up each site was quite simple, but the product quality was terrible. That's when I started having doubts. Then I discovered the stats were bogus. Supposedly the sites were receiving visitors when I had done no marketing of them whatsoever. They offered half off to supercharge my account in order to have all the sites submitted to over 200 search engines. I declined. I started complaining to their support that I had no control over the sites for SEO and that I wanted a refund. They responded by supercharging my account for free. Of course, they had to clear this with the company president first. I told them no thanks and have submitted several requests for a refund since. Surprise, they stopped responding. Avoid this scam at all costs.

Stay far away

This is a no-go for me.

I tried this program some time ago and for someone with limited knowledge it seemed to be perfect. Boy was I wrong! The webpage that you get "Free" but paid 19.95 for. Also when I did ratings on the page I found that the page doesn't even have keywords built in. You are only able to change your title, web owners name and the price.

Luckily I was able to cancel the payment through clickbank and got refunded.

Please do not fall for it

Do not fall for it!

I have spent over a hundred dollars on this website!

Trust me this is seriously just a money pit!

The selection of products they have for sale is very few and there is still a lot of stiff competition. Luckily, I was finally able to get a refund after complaining for a couple of days.

BAD choice

I have tried the Home website center and spent a lot of money trying to get it to work like the e-books they sent me. I have had it for six months now and never made a penny. Don't sign up for this one, it is a scam. They told me I would get a one on one help the sent me to their grant place that wanted to charge me $600 for their service and so on.

I'm the newest fool

I got fooled by HWC ... and paid them 19.95+ 97.95+ 47.95+ 14.95 USD.

I got my refund from click bank instantly which was the first payment.

I paid other three payments through paypal, which are yet to be cleared.

I wanted to know if a website is a scam why is paypal still offering services to them?

Don't Do It!

Do not fall for this crap! It's all a scam. I've lost a $49.95 by signing up to this website, and $97.95 by upgrading to PRO. I've had no single sale since I've signed up. I've emailed these people twice already to get my money back but haven't heard anything back yet. I really don't think I can get my money back. There is no real number to call and get a hold of someone. And the emails that I've sent to get my money back, I know no one will ever read them. So don't lose your money. And if anyone knows how to get the money back, please let me know too. Thanks!

Home Website Center

Don't have anything to do with it. It is a long process to get a refund, paypal does not take responsibility for all the receipts issued under their name. Paypal will redirect you to nick@nbonlinemarketing.com where you may get a refund. I am still waiting...

I share all the above comments made by IMreport members for having experienced with HWC and like everyone here I must be honest and say: I made a zero income and wasted a lot of time and money while at it!

Today I had a call from America! To make short I asked the guy to call back on Saturday so my husband can fix him up over the phone. Shame on you Home Website Center!

My first scam experience may be my last

I signed up with home website center as I was looking to make an income from home as a person with an illness that prevents me from working full time. At first I was impressed that they called me and told me that I was chosen to get a professional persons help for six months in order to make my investment work for me. I was also asked about my credit rating and credit cards. This in itself was a red flag. I did not give the information but told Greg who called me, that I needed to look up this information. I also was not ready to talk to this professional that I had other obligations to attend to and would set up a time the next day. This gave me time to talk with my husband, who is a professional Internet technician. We looked up this site and found all the comments negative and warning others to stay away from the home website center. I was happy to find others had taken the time to write out their experiences to warn those who were either thinking of using this system or had and been taken in. Thank you all for your comments here. I will be looking to get a refund and using some of the helpful advice given here to get it. Wish me luck!

Home Website, Is it a scam or just a really bad marketing business????

I am apparently another fool who signed up thinking I could earn a couple of dollars as a hobby.

After paying 19.95 for the initial start up I then proceeded in buying the upgrade to PRO. Funny enough I did not get any Marketing Guides and the stats seemed to be the same for each ebook that I have on my websites.

I then proceeded to pay again $49.95 to Instant Customers for one of the websites but have difficulty finding it. But then they asked for $14.95 for unlimited websites, so me the fool paid. Guess what? I didn't even receive this service even though PayPal account says so. I have tried a number of emails on this request as well as full refunds as I know now that this is just one big con job.

I have had no sales even after I dropped them down to $1.95.

I have now put in a dispute claim into PayPal but apparently they approve of this site. We shall wait and see!

Ficticious Stats - No Sales - No Refund

I, like many others here, was taken in by this.

I was mislead by the supposed affiliations with reputable news channels and search engines.

The one free website on the initial package seemed to be getting good ratings after 2 or 3 weeks, but no sales, so like that sucker I am, I upgraded to PRO. My websites were getting relatively good traffic, and some FAQs suggested I would get approximately 1 sale per 200 visits. Stupidly, I believed this, sat back and waited.

Funnily enough, a couple of weeks later as I was checking my websites' statistics, I noticed a pattern. Out of the 10 I had created, 6 of them had exactly the same visitor numbers, in exactly the same order, on exactly the same days. What a coincidence! And still no sales? How odd!

Since my very first day, I was bombarded with insistent "live agents" suggesting I sign up for extras (at some cost of course).

I have made not one sale, despite lowering my price from the recommended $49.95 to $3.95, and have requested my money be returned as per the "60 day money back guarantee" several times to no avail.

I'm not normally a sucker, I swear to it, but this had me taken in.

DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THIS!

Totally garbage useless scams

As the saying goes what goes around comes around, I also got sucked into this program but went with the free site only, also I used my affiliate clickbank link so I got 75% back from clickbank but for sure they are scams, no doubt about it. The sad part is the referrals they use are not honest, but life goes on, the next time make sure to do research here at IM, plus their sites are useless for adwords in google...

Home Web Site Center

I was stupid enough to get involved in this scam, after I upgraded I was given about 20 websites which looked OK with stats and a 24 hour helpline. Then I got a telephone call from home web site center saying that I had been chosen to be given the opportunity to invest in the company and that if I had a credit card they would show me how to make more money by using other people's money. After having the web sites for well over 14 days with not one sell I declined their offer. Please don't get involved with this scam. I find it sad that Pay Pal gives this scam some credibility. Pay Pal should withdraw from this company A. S. A. P.

Where's my money?

The first thing you see on the website, makes you feel this is a professional site. They give you free website with all the features they promise like paypal integration, 24/7 support, web stats etc. Well you feel that you are getting all of that for FREE! Well it's not. Once you are in they start ripping you off.

A complete waste of my money, I had got some Get TV on your PC website. I had wasted over $100 on this. Customer support is lousy. 60 day money back, I doubt it. The customer care representative told me that my request is the list. I mean they got so many people opting out!

Wake up. I give this F.

Still Fighting For a Refund

I understand that this company is in GB, but you would think with the global trade we do, there would be a way to end this suffering. Too many people are looking for a way to just survive, just a little bit of reality. Not to pad the pockets but really just pay some bills!

If I didn't know any better I would say the mafia had a new neighborhood and it's name is the GLOBAL WEB!

If there is any way to get groups together to prevent this from happening to the struggling "little people" (yes I am Irish) then please count me in.

What I would like to see is e-mails to the sites owner/publishers to get in their hair and have them be true to their word! It did not take long to see my money leave my account... as far as it being refunded "if not happy", well I'm so very NOT HAPPY and have not gotten any response, time frame or my money.

Buyer Beware! Buyer Beware! Buyer Beware!

To All You Complainers!

Yes, I was a member of HWC and found out real fast, not the place to be.

To all you newbies that are sucked into these programs. I have found that clickbank is the only place on the net that is honest. They have tons of ebooks available for you to join and promote. In the past 22 months I have looked into several programs and if they make you sign up with your own credit card, alert pay, paypal etc I stay away from them. I use click bank exclusively and have never had a problem with a refund. Forget about going to the Vendor to get a refund, they never get back to you. All they want is your money. I use IMR all the time before I purchase any ebook. They are also very reliable and have Great Reviews.

Very disappointed

I just joined in the Home website center to get my own web site. It was only after they charged me $19.95 when they gave me only one option for my website since I didn't upgrade or take any of the "offers" they showed on the making of the website. I didn't have any option to cancel since I already was charged so I got the Elite weight loss bla bla website. Immediately I wanted to get a refund when I realized this is a waste of my money and time. For me to get visitors, training or anything else I have to pay more and more. Like I said they charge you first and then you see what it is about if you want more "income or the best" you have to keep paying. So I requested a refund (since there is a 60 days money back guarantee)with the "live customer representative" (Isabela) she said or wrote I should wait for the 60 days or click on the "submit through our ticket system". So I did, haven't got any response as of yet. Still I also look for the (support@homewebsitecenter.com) another option Isabela gave me, but I realized this is not a website to get customer assistance directly from Home Website Center. Hopefully I get a response soon and my refund, this is so frustrating and I'm not interested anymore. I'm more worried now that I read your comments or feedback, if only I would've see this before.

Been a month and nothing!

I bought into this wanting to try and supplement my income with online marketing. Home Website Center looked like it might work for me as I am a newbie to affiliate marketing and am not that knowledgeable about setting up websites and promoting them. I signed up for the Pro account but did not receive the support that I was suppose to. Every time I sent an email asking about sales or statistics I got the reply that " maybe the reason you have made no sales is because you have not purchased any of the upgrades". I bought the Instant-Customer website submitter and even purchased a traffic generating program from another site, still not one sale. I have as of now, after 1 month of trying this and not seeing a single sale, submitted a request for a refund back to my credit card. I will be keeping my fingers crossed and see what happens! If anyone is looking for an online opportunity to make some money this is not it! Good luck and I hope you find something that will work for you one day!

Questionable Mentalities

How Do I Get A Refund?

If you wish to make use of our 60 day money back guarantee you can submit a request via our Support Center and our staff will process your request accordingly.

Well Ladies & Gents I have entered into the strange community of the "pipe dream" and am now slowly waking up! I've just submitted my refund request (Jan 29th 2011) and will post again on the progress and thank you all for posting your comments and preventing me throwing anymore money away.

I would like to have a mini group therapy session and ask if we can dig deep into why having an opportunistic identity and a desire for success we can collectively make the choice to believe anything? 5 minutes of research would have set us straight.

Asked for my refund yesterday

I signed up with home website center on Jan. 9 or 10/11. I immediately paid for the pro feature and I had 10 websites to use. I actually only did 7 of them. For one of them I even upgraded with the instant customers. I had not gotten any sales, then I received a phone call from a "coach" from the home website center who said they had a limited number of spaces for one on one training and support and needed to know if I qualified. He gave me an assignment of 3 goals and said he would call back in 15 mins. When he did he only asked me about my finances he said he would transfer me to his supervisor. The supervisor said he needed to call back from another line. He never did. I then did a search for the website I paid for the instant customers for. It was the elite weight loss package. I went on Yahoo search (one of the engines that was included in the instant customers package)after 36 pages of the same website basically I still didn't see mine. I was horrified. I then found this site and read everyone's comments. Thank you by the way! I emailed both the home website center and clickbank last night for a refund. I wish I had known about IMRC sooner.

It's a MIRACLE - I Received a Refund from Home Website Center

I did the same as at least the first reviews I read including adding the "MyBlogging Site" as well. Almost $500 later, yes paid via paypal. Like the rest of you my ten "obsolete" websites were up and the traffic numbers were beginning to increase slowly. I also made it into the top 50 and then into the top 10 and would get to work with Roger one on one and then I received the same two emails about 5 days later. Anyway, as I am sure the rest of you probably know, paypal will not escalate or help resolve any claim / dispute involving an intangible or electronically delivered product. I finally did get a refund after diligent follow-through and many steps as listed below.

1. Requested refund via opening support ticket. (waited 48 hours)

2. Requested refund again via support ticket. (waited another 48 hrs)

3. Argued with Paypal, Argued with Paypal again.

4. Spoke with Paypal specialist

5. Opened 8 disputes in Paypal's Resolution Center referring to product as Fake and Significantly Not as Described. One was a duplicate charge for the unlimited plan.

6. Emailed their support again, still requesting refund

7. Found additional email address in receipt correspondence (Seller's email) nick@nbonlinemarketing.com

8. Received notice from Nick granting refund of duplicate charge.

9. Received email from (HWC / MBS) (Dotcom Internet Marketing) CSR named Kira, including all the normal customer service support garbage, sorry I wanted to cancel, what could they do, based on the traffic my websites were getting I would start making sales in just a few weeks... etc. finally the other day I received a full refund into my paypal account.

I searched my receipts, called phone numbers I found on my bank statements BTW (Dotcom Creations not the same) had to stay diligent but I did finally get my money back. If it is within their guarantee period and you stay diligent I pray you get the same result.

Run fast and far away

I too, like others here fell for the Home Website Center, I upgraded to Pro, built my websites, etc. I made the initial charge through one credit card and the other through, yes PayPal. Then I started getting telephone calls from my credit card company trying to verify purchases that I had made, never, never had this happen before. The final blow was someone tried to make an unauthorized charge on my card that I used for my initial purchase. They had all of my credit card numbers exact, except the expiration date was wrong. I hardly ever use this credit card and I was advised to close my account for fraud. Maybe they aren't connected, but my gut instinct tells me otherwise. I became suspicious and started investigating, which I should have done before. I have tried twice by e-mail to get a response for my request for a refund. This morning I finally disputed the charge through PayPal and also my credit card company, hopefully I'll get a least some money refunded, although I'm not counting on it. To top it all off, now I'm getting scam telephone calls on my cell phone five or six times a day, despite their assurances posted on the website under the privacy policy. Needless to say they all now get sent automatically to voice mail, as I read on other sites where the people who call actually harass you if you answer.

Too bad we all can't join forces and take them down.

Home Website Center with PayPal integration

I sent a mail to them today and told suspicions of a scam. They replied immediately in a friendly way that they are acting perfectly legally without cheating method. I tested as soon as their PayPal integration. It works very well, so does the extent it is not cheating. Their products are stale, if you want to sell their products have to invest in marketing a lot and it costs a lot. Search engine optimization and increasing the number of visitors is highly costly. Home Website Center should also see to it that marketing of the products is effective. Examples: Tattoo Design Help is just a front, there is nothing there! I'm going to be closely monitoring their activity. But at the moment, at least part of the scam suspicions disappeared when PayPal integration works.

Home Websites Center - avoid like the plague!

Well what a fool I feel. I signed up on the 6th January, got my ten websites running, paid to upgrade membership with submission to search engines, priority support etc, and started reading the marketing e-Books and watching the training videos. I noticed that the videos beyond the 'Pay Per Click' one didn't appear to work. So having paid £150 plus, I wasn't going to give up, and sent emails requesting support. I then received an email yesterday 17th January saying I had been chosen from a shortlist of 50 applicants to receive Platinum Membership. I became suspicious, as I hadn't earned a penny from any of it. The thing was, from the websites and stream of emails with links to the next step, it FELT genuine. I only wish I had searched for sites like IMRC before I got started! I have requested a full refund. I wonder if I'll get any of it back. Like a moth scorched in a candle flame, I'll be EXTREMELY WARY of anything like this in the future. Thank you IMRC for waking me up!

I am new this home website center

I have just started this.. and I see no results as well.. I thought about upgrading to get more traffic but do you know how big the internet is? There are millions of websites and it probably works but the internet is so huge that you would make little sales even with Google or Yahoo having your site available. Now.. I'm not doing anything with this for a while since I have heard so many bad reviews.. man. Somebody has had to make money somewhere.. And here is the thing.. never buy into anything that is from the UK.. Nigeria.. or somewhere like that. This is from the UK.. weird. I'm giving this at least 6 months before getting rid of it. I had plans on buying a very nice home.. very nice cars such as a Lamborghini and or Ferrari.. but I guess it won't happen if no money comes in. I guess I have to go back to modeling and acting.. that isn't a scam but it takes money for pictures at first.. kinda pricey to get into modeling and acting but well worth it if you have what it takes.

Another for the "SUCKERS CLUB"

Home website center, I join those who have posted before me in now being a qualified member of the "SUCKERS CLUB". Oh how naive and to an extent what a fool am I. It all started last Monday 10th January when I stumbled across this terrific opportunity, promising vast earnings of cash via posting links on websites. You know the drill/ presentation and I, like those before me, proceeded to buy into this opportunity.

I purchased the (PRO)package, the instant customers who are obviously tied in with this scam. I had my 10 websites sorted with in 1 day. My suspicions heightened when trying to register with (DMOZ) you know the story submitting your site to 200 search engines, for traffic to your sites. The $64000 Question when trying to register my domain name with (DMOZ) I was getting a message back from them ( sorry your domain name does not exist or is invalid). SOUND ALL TO FAMILIAR. I did some researching (should have done it before buying into this scam) and came across this website dedicated to exposing these scammers and read the stories of those who have also been ripped off. You are not alone!

I was particularly interested in an earlier posting submitted on January 2nd 2011 by hendric 1421 titled

"How can this scam keep going on?Where's the net lawmaker?

Alas there is hope for me yet as my transactions were processed buy no other, you guessed it (PAYPAL). The resolution and disputes department following this post I'm on your case. What makes me so irate is Paypal are obviously supportive of these dodgy scammers and an overhaul in policy is needed to avoid disreputable organizations like the Home web site center fiasco receiving payments from honest people like me. Paypal has to accept some form of responsibility in channeling funds into dodgy scammers accounts. Stay Tuned

"Same bat place, Same bat time, Same bat channel...

Complete fabrication

I too got sucked in a couple of days ago. Will contact paypal tomorrow for a refund. Line them all up and shoot them I say... and how can we report these people, police, fbi, attorney's office? There must be a way they can be brought down. I only noticed it was a scam when I was getting generated same answers when asking for help in their support section, then the constant upgrading which always cost something... I feel like a fool but not so much anymore now I see others have been trapped... DONT USE HOME WEB SITE THEY ARE SCAMS.

I am puzzled

I had my lapse of judgment in the middle of August & signed up w/HWC. I went the whole hog except for the marketing books because I couldn't see what benefit they would be since the whole thing was made for you & ready to run.

I have 21 sites (I created all available). Although there is no easy way to add up the number of visits, I have had more than 180,000 visits to all of my sites - & 1 single sale.

The statistics look a bit dodgy. Also I have found that there were differences between what you saw in the "Visitor Statistics - this month", the default view & the "breakdown" where you can view several months. However it doesn't seem like the visit stats are completely phony: I have a subscription to Pingler & put my HWC sites there. They were being pinged every 3 days and there was a definite spike every 3 days & when I changed to every 10 days that changed too.

I got in touch with Support a few times & got answers by email but also at other times I didn't get email answers. I then discovered that I had had answers to my queries in the support ticket system. Sometimes I get the notification email & sometimes not. On 4-Sep-2010 I asked what the conversion rate was and was told one could expect a sale every 200 visits on average. I was slightly above that on all the sites at the time but not even double this quantity. Then I inquired again on 4-Nov when I had had around 100 visits a day. On 3-Dec I wrote again & told them that I had had more than 6000 visits on each site for Oct and Nov & still no sale. I wrote again on 31 December. Now having more than 200 visits a day on each site.

They said they were going to ask the development team to look at my sites & see what's wrong. However, BEFORE WRITING THIS I decided to try something else: As I happen to have 2 PayPal accounts I changed the price of one of my products to $1 & bought it with the other PayPal account.

Guess what? IT WORKED! PayPal knew for sure who to pay & sure enough I got an email from PayPal telling me I had received a payment.

In the meantime I got an email from the slimming website telling me my details to log in. I click on the link & 403 Forbidden. They send me to the "members/" page, not "members. php". If I modify this in the address bar I get to a page where my ebook is waiting. So I went back to the page before, where I am given my login details and clicked on login again. Sure enough I am taken to the HWC squeeze page once more (& that doesn't include a 'No thanks, take me to my ebook directly').

Now I don't know what they do there but:

- from the page with my login details I am taken to the HWC squeeze page

- when on the squeeze page the previous page in the browser's history is the page with the login details, if I click the back button I am taken back to my login details

- if there I click the forward button I am taken to the page with the ebook I have bought!

So this page with my ebook is hidden but can appear when navigating in the history. Also the email they send to send me there sends me to a forbidden page.

This still doesn't explain why I have no sales at all because even if people were frustrated for not finding what they bought I would have had messages from PayPal telling me about the purchases and the refunds, but nothing like that happened.

In short, I am puzzled because:

- the statistics look unreliable and possibly fake but they react to visits but search engines generated by Pingler submissions

- contrary to some views expressed here it seems a payment made reaches my PayPal account but it is puzzling that nobody clicked that button in more than 180,000 visits.

If anyone wants to help prove that sales go through to the right account you can purchase an ebook on weight loss for $1 from my site and I will refund you. Of course if some of the conspiracy theories are right I will never see this dollar and won't be able to refund you, but this is not my experience.

How Can This Online Scam Keep Going On ? Where's The Net Lawmaker ?

I have bought the program recently and within 2 days I upgraded another 4 times and the only thing I haven't upgraded was 'SuperCharge My Account'. After more than 2 weeks of no results, I can see on daily basis even traffic generated by posting in Tweeter is bringing in more traffic than the Traffic program ( Instant Customer ) they use for their members. Last week I received another email and it is an offer to upgrade to Platinum Level and only available to 10 of their members. I am just 2 weeks into the program, slowly to feel something is not right and receiving this email totally made me very suspicious and I did a some surveys about this website and I discovered IM Report and found out there are many whom have been cheated just like me. I paid with my Paypal and straight away went to Paypal resolution Center and claimed back all my 5 payments I made. Within 2 days I got back all my money. When you pay with Paypal the rules and refund are warranted by Paypal, not anyone else. This website has been going on for sometime and there are many complaints about Home Website Center all over the internet but where are the authorities? Why are Paypal and Clickbank still very supportive of these crooks?

Home Website Centre

Hi all,

I cannot simply believe that these scammers get away with it. What gits. Me too! I joined a week ago and same thing all flashes and plush looking pro site, and thought yeah it's gotta be real, just added my name an amount for the ebook and title, hang on this is too easy. I will be reporting this Company that is NOT LISTED, to the FBI who will bring these people down as they have a specified, not advertised department that deals with this and close these nasty people down. So fear not and lesson learned DO NOT EVEN PAY THE SO CALLED $20 dollars, you get caught out don't ya thinking, this is not a lot to sacrifice £11 English pounds, they will get their comeuppance, but to all of you who vouched the story thank you and we will get them.

They promise to sell your product, but I still didn't sell any products

I would like to give my honest opinion. Do not waste your time on the homewebsitecenter. They just automatically want to take your money out of your visa debit card. They make too many promises. It is just too good to be true. Especially housewifes be careful. Nobody can make so much money that they promise you will make on line so soon. Be carefull for scam's online like this.

Big big scam!

Wow, glad I have come across this site. Wish I came across it earlier! I too have been sucked into this scam but luckily have only paid for the basic startup $30 roughly. Joined up about 1 month ago and found the same as all you did. Lots of hits but no sales. Was starting to think that maybe I should go to pro but then I thought hmm maybe I should just google this first to see if it's a scam! Pitty I didnt google it before I signed up. Was pretty stupid and desperate at the time! Anyway now that I have googled it I have come across this site and found that we were all sucked into this scam. Seeming as some of you have stated that you have been refunded I have now contacted the site email and told them that I would like a refund because I am not happy with the outcome. If that doesn't work I will be contacting Paypal to get my refund. It's not a lot of money but if we all say that then it works out to be a lot of money to the scammers so I WILL be getting my money back just so they don't get it.

Anyone wanting to try this site... DONT! It is a total scam and you WILL see no results. All they want is your money. Just think about it, they only have to suck a few people in a day and they are making more than enough to earn an easy income. Don't be fooled people. Keep your money in your pocket. Buy shares instead or something.

Thank you to all the comments, I do feel like a fool but also feel a lot better knowing I wasn't the only one.

PS- please get a refund to you all... don't let them win and take our money.

Good Luck!

The King of Suckers

I dub myself the king of suckers. I've been out of work for a year and, out of desperation, dove head first into online home based businesses without doing any research. The home website center is the first I tried, and compared to the money I've lost since, the money I lost with them is minor. I have ten websites with them, set up for six months. When I didn't start making sales within a week, I upgraded to pro. When, weeks later I still didn't make any sales, I contacted support. They told me if I signed up for instant customers, which was another investment, I'd definitely start making sales. They also insisted they were legit and people were actually making money doing this. Well six months later, I still haven't made a penny. The only response I get to my e-mails is that they've already addressed this issue. I recently got an e-mail from them, that I'd been hand selected from 10 people to go Platinum for a discount. Imagine that, I haven't made a sale in six months but I qualify for this honor.

I've lost thousands of dollars with other companies because I didn't do my due diligence. Don't make the same mistake! Thoroughly research the company. Look for hidden and recurring fees. Look for constant pushing of upgrades. Go to websites like this, before handing over your hard earned money. I wish I could tell you I've found an online business that works, unfortunately I'm still looking.

Good luck,

Scott

Home Website Center - unbelievably inaccurate salespage

Like others who got suckered into this site, I bought all the upgrades and, as a newbie, told myself that over 500 visitors over 10 sites would bound to result in at least one sale. How wrong I was and I began to doubt the visitor stats because I signed up to Instant Customers for one of the sites with no noticeable difference in visitor numbers. I decided to experiment and spent a whole afternoon visiting one of my sites over 100 times. Needless to say this did not reflect in the stats.

I decided to go for a refund and found the support team sent an automated reply - I know this because I mistakenly sent the request for a refund twice but from different usernames and emails. The reply encouraged me to be patient and bear with it as my first sale would be within the next 3 weeks. I resisted the temptation to stick with it, after all, the sales page suggested results far quicker than 3 weeks.

The only truism about the sales pitch was the ease with which the sites were set up, but when the site quality is as poor as they are, I am not that surprised that they only take minutes to set up.

Anyhow, I would not recommend signing up under any circumstances and would even question the credibility of other internet marketers who promote this site .

Home website center Scam

I came across the home website center and I am not keen at all. It just tries to upsell to you different campaigns to buy traffic etc but none of them work. Don't waste your time buying this product, I have not made a sale yet and reading comments from here I am not sure if I do I will get the money. The only way to find out is to purchase the product yourself and see if you get the money. It looks like a scam and I will be looking for a refund.

Super Big Scam!

Stay well away! I signed up and saw the supposed sites they offered. What a load of junk. Cheap and nasty sites with Tattoo e-books and rubbish face creams or stupid diet e-books that you can sell. You cannot input anything other than their prescribed menu options for 'your' website. But the real scam- the dangerous and disturbing SCAM is the guy who calls you and starts to sell you on their 'selective' course. I smelt SCAM right away but went along for the ride to see what they'd hit me with. They wanted to know my income and how many credit cards I had. They would 'leverage' the cards so that I could invest from $6000-$10000 and create a profitable business. They use the old "are you really committed" line to try and manipulate you into the buy-in. I had great joy in shooting the guy down after he spent plenty of money on the international call of 1 hour. They should be arrested!

Rip Off Site

As a complete novice to web-page set up I purchased this product a week ago. Like everyone else I started off with one site, was urged to buy the pro, which I did, and then the string of extras started to flow. I purchased everything thinking I would able to make myself and income on line. Being new to this I had questions, and had purchased the add-on to make sure my queries were answered quickly. The automated response did not give any indication as to which of your questions it was related, and I had a few of them. I did not get the answers I was looking for and also became confused as to just what I had paid for when two of the add-ons seemed to be for the same thing. I requested clarification of these add-ons but was not responded to. Also when you had purchased Instant Access, which you were led to believe would put ALL your web sites on all the main search engines, you got one site for which you were given a list along with notice of yet another amount of money which needed to be paid to put the rest on to the search engines. That is when I wised up and did not go for this option. On looking closely at the the stats I realized that they were often exactly the same for several of the sites (I had put up 10) and considering that one of them had been submitted to the search engines it was doing no better than before. I have paid by paypal and will be contacting them to gain refunds from this site as I do not believe that I will get anywhere with Home Websites directly. I will keep you informed. Like everyone else on this discussion thread, I would urge you not to be taken in by the promises of Home Website Center as it has to be a big scam and elaborate enough to suck in the uninformed.
