Shaklee Description

Shaklee is a networking marketing company that has been in business for over 50 years. Started by Dr. Forrest Shaklee, a chiropractor who practiced in San Francisco, California, the company started out selling nutritional supplements. Over the years, the company's product line has grown to include skin care products, household cleaning products and even a line of weight loss supplements. The company uses independent distributors to sell their products, offering many people the opportunity to earn money from home.

Shaklee Detailed Overview

There are very few people these days who haven't heard of the Shaklee line of products. They have been around so long that they've earned the right to become a household name. The company's products have a reputation for being healthy and environmentally friendly, and that appeals to a large group of consumers. Most people also know that it is a network marketing company, using independent distributors and sales teams to sell their products. You can apply to sell their products, and how much money you make depends on how hard you want to work, how well you can sell, and how many people you can recruit to sell under you.

When you become an independent distributor for Shaklee, you can earn money in a couple of different ways. First, you can make money simply selling the products. You purchase the products at wholesale prices, and then you turn around and sell them at retail prices. You can also make money by building a sales team below you called a downline. You earn a percentage of their sales as well. If you move up in the company, you start earning bonuses, which increase depending on your level of leadership..

Shaklee provides training and coaching for their independent distributors. You can get personal coaching from the person who sponsors you into the program, as well as other leaders in the company. They also provide training through DVD's, CD's, their website, and monthly conference calls.

Shaklee Reputation

Shaklee would not have lasted as long as it has or be as successful as it is if it wasn't doing something right. The company's products, though often on the expensive side, are well-made, safe and have a reputation for quality. Distributors at the company say that the support system is a good one, though as with any network marketing company, you need to have the dedication and the willingness to work hard in order to succeed.

Good product

I started promoting Shaklee some time ago. Even if it's a nice product with really good quality, the price doesn't make up for it. Earning money gets a little bit hard since you have to have some marketing skills. If you do, this is something for you. Shaklee is a well known product because it's really good, so don't let the price scare you.

I would definitely recommend it for people that have great marketing skills.

Okay product, hard to sell

The product is definitely good and nice quality, but sometimes it can be hard to make any real cash off of this, and I think it is definitely dependent upon your geographical loction. Lets face it, not many people are in the market for this stuff, and most people have something better or more important to them that they'd rather spend their money on. So unless it is a sure sell, or you have great marketing skills, it is definitely an investment that you should put some thought and planning into. Consult consult consult I say.

Very happy if only just for using the products

I started with Shaklee early this past year and was surprised I had never heard about it. The reason I started was their Vivix product, based on resveratrol. I was taking resveratrol to prevent the cardiovascular problems my mother is having, but I got it at a nutritional company in New York City which claimed to be excellent. I bought my multi-vitamins there too. After I discovered that Vivix was 50% less expensive and clinically proven to be better than resveratrol by itself I figured I have nothing to lose - Shaklee charges a one time membership or distributorship fee for the lifetime of your commitment to them, and they don't force you to buy anything or sign anyone else up. You also apparently never lose your bonus status. Only gold ambassadors have to pay an annual $29 fee to keep their status active, but it comes with significant additional bonus earning potential, so it's worth the small fee.

With Vivix my wife and I had mixed results initially. I noticed an incredible increase in energy, she didn't. We didn't continue taking it because we wanted to see if we would notice a difference. I guess my wife did notice a difference after all because she now wants to take it more than ever. My mother, who has had four stints and hip replacement, is on Vivix and Shaklee's Vitamin E and reports to have more energy than she's had in 20 years - and she's only 82. I switched my multi-vitamins to Shaklee's as well and noticed that I never get a cold or flu anymore. If there is strong change in the weather I use a saline spray to keep my nose clean and that's it. Of course, we're all different so your results may vary. On the other hand, after I signed up with Shaklee I asked around at work and found out that one of my staff was a distributor. He was a heavy smoker yet hadn't called in sick once for the 15 years he'd been with the company. He said he didn't feel like selling, just got the distributorship to get the discounts and that the meal shakes and multi-vitamins kept him in excellent shape.

We get a very reasonable bonus check every month, especially if we sell Vivix, but considering we do virtually no promotion it looks like a great opportunity. We have tried most of their products now and really like most of them with the exception of the Cinch line, just not crazy about the flavoring of the Cinch shakes. Considering Oprah featured Shaklee's cleaning products on her show we are a bit surprised that not more people know about Shaklee and sign up with us, but you have to realize how fierce the competition is and that Shaklee doesn't put up any TV or Internet advertising. Still, more than one million people use and sell Shaklee products in about seven countries and growing. Considering how healthy and good for the environment their products are, I don't see myself going back to other products as long as Shaklee is around.

Shaklee Products Are Awesome!

I have been a Shaklee Distributor for about 7 months now. I really haven't had the time to devote to building my business much because I work a full time job, but the company has great products that work. I have been taking the Rx for healthier life which is Vivix(anti-aging), Vitalizer(the essential vitamins) and Nutriferon(Immune system booster)and I can't believe the amount of energy these products have given me. I was very skeptical at first, but the more products I try the more I fall in love with them. The company also offers a very generous compensation plan that gives you the chance to earn $100,000 in your first 15 months depending on how hard you want to work.

Shaklee Products... DO SELL

I have been promoting Shaklee products on my website for quite some time. I understand that some folks think that these products are a little pricey. However, if you have really looked at the products that are currently being promoted and sold in salons and stores, you will find our prices are actually competitive. And the product has been in the industry long enough that consumers know and trust the name.

This product has done very well for me.

Shaklee, good company

I signed up two years ago to become a Shaklee independent distributor.

The prices are fairly reasonable. If you can sell their products real well, then you should have no problems. I do like that they have all natural products and they are not tested on any animals. My main problem, as a SAHM, is having enough time to devote to sell the products, as I also home school. We also live in a small rural town and there are not many places to sell at. One big plus, these products will not harm our environment. If you have time to devote, this company is great to work with. Shaklee Customer Service is always there to help if you should ever need them.

Shaklee a household name

Shaklee is one of the pioneer food supplement networking companies that penetrated the local market in my country. It has become a household name and until today it has captured a big slice of the market when it comes to food supplement. I joined Shaklee as one of its independent distributors, and it was good not only on its well planned income opportunities, but I derived a lot of goodness from taking its vitamins. One of the things that I like about Shaklee is its range of supplements designed especially for women. The slimming plan's range of food supplements have been my best seller as I am a living proof of it's effectiveness. Now that I am no longer an active distributor of Shaklee, I am still taking some of the food supplements as I find that their vitamins are pure and health giving. You have to try Shaklee to know that it is superior to any other vitamins on the shelf in the market.

Products A Little Pricey

I was introduced to Shaklee about a year ago by a parent from my daughter's school. At first she introduced me to the range of products that Shaklee has and I was really interested in the weight loss program that Shaklee offers. In order not to disappoint my friend I chose the cheapest of all the weight loss supplements that Shaklee has. And I must say that it does work. I had more energy after I took the supplements. I continued with the supplements for awhile, and then she told me that I can get the supplements at a lower price if I joined her network. And if I can sell the supplements to at least 5 people I can have it for free.

Wow. That hooked me. So I signed up under her. She showed me Shaklee's marketing plan and told me that I can earn even more if I have people under me. So I tried to sell the supplements to other overweight mothers, but it was hard. They were not convinced because they don't see me losing weight. The supplements don't really make me lose weight very fast, but they do give me more energy. After three months of trying to sell the products, I gave up but I continued taking the supplements at a discounted price.

I can see Shaklee as a viable way of making money, but I don't like selling or recruiting people, so I don't get far. I just use the products.

Perfect way to earn an income

I joined Shaklee a while back because of the name itself. I came across an Independent Distributor and tried some of the products and eventually became a Distributor. I have since been promoting these products in the area I live in and they sell themselves. I really like that the products are "green" which helps them to sell even more. I will have to say that the site I'm given to promote is easy to use, it's informative, and answers most questions that anyone has.

I have received more compliments from these products and how easy it is to purchase them. I also like how quick these products are delivered. I have always managed to find buyers no matter what the cost. Overall I like the pricing associated with the products. Even though they are a little higher in price, the products themselves are completely worth it.

I would have to say that this is a must program to get involved with. I am happy with the thanks I get and you could be getting it too. It provides me with a great stable income and the selling is not hard. I would rate Shaklee an "A" because it is awesome.

Shaklee has many great products

I really like Shaklee. There are many great products for everyone in your family to use. The skin line is amazing. I have never looked better. My skin has lost a few years in age. The whole line makes my skin feel great.

And the weight management kit is wonderful. I have never looked better since taking it. I have lost a few pounds and gained some self esteem. I was able to burn some fat and follow the really easy plan.

There are also some products for the home that are green and even some babies and kids vitamins that mothers may be interested in.

Shaklee sells itself

As a distributor for Shaklee, I can say it's been around for so long it sells itself. People actually contact me now. With the internet, the possibilities are almost endless. You make more money, of course, with a downline. Many people are leery of multi-level marketing so that's a little harder to sell. You can definitely be successful with Shaklee if you put in the time. It's always in demand, especially again with the "green movement". It's a good time to get involved with them for that reason. They introduce new products and they are always top of the line. The products are more expensive than going to the drug store, but you'll always find people who love them. And those people usually buy a lot.

Great Website for Green and Healthy Items

I have been using this site for about a month now and was surprised to find it on here up for review. I am a very green person along with my whole family and we love this site. They have all sorts of food products and beauty products, among many other things. The site has pretty good customer service and the shipping on the site is a good price, is always quick and I receive my items in pristine condition. I hope that they will update their product listing to contain more products for purchase because our family is looking for something new and is having trouble at other green health outlets. I recommend this site for any families or individuals who are health food addicts likes myself or just enjoy helping out the environment.
