4dabirds's comment on SendEarnings ...
Good Paid Email Site
As others have mentioned, SendEarnings is identical in layout to InBox Dollars. They send out paid emails and paid surveys on a regular basis. They also offer cash back shopping. While their cash back percentages aren't as high as other portals, they do offer coupons and other promotions to certain sites.
Unlike with other "get paid to" sites, I have never had an issue with things crediting to my account on SendEarnings.
They have a decent referral program where you earn 10% of your referral's earnings.
While I don't mind the high cash out threshold ($30), it does annoy me that they will deduct a $3 service fee from your balance (if you cash out $30, you receive $27).
4dabirds's comment on Valued Opinions ...
Decent Site
Valued Opinions is, in my opinion, one of the better survey sites out there. They don't send a lot of surveys, perhaps 5 to 10 a week, but every survey they send pays. They don't send out sweeps entry surveys. Every survey invitation they send clearly states how much the survey will pay, how long the survey will take, the basic topic of the survey, and how long the survey will be available for. If you don't qualify for the survey, they attempt to find another in their system for you to take.
Your member's page clearly shows how much is in your account and what surveys are still pending. It may take up to 28 days for surveys to post to your account, however, depending on how you choose to cash out, payment is instant. If you cash out for an Amazon code, there is no waiting, you receive the code immediately.
4dabirds's comment on Opinion Outpost ...
Solid Survey Site
Opinion Outpost is a good solid site to join if you are interested in taking surveys for some extra spending cash. They regularly send out email invites. Surveys pay decently and there is a "consolation prize" if you don't qualify like some sites. If you don't qualify you have the opportunity to donate 10 cents to a charity or spin for a chance to win $50. I personally would prefer a few points added to my account like some sites do instead. I really like the fact that you have your choice of payouts, you can request a check which can take up to 8 weeks or you can get your payout immediately if you request an Amazon gift code. My main complaint about Opinion Outpost is the amount of OTX surveys they host on their site. All in all though, it's one of the top sites to join.
4dabirds's comment on YouData ...
Not enough ads
I signed up for YouData about 3 weeks ago. The first problem I hit was with my cell phone carrier. You need to have a cell phone in order to receive an activation code. They send the one text and no more. Unfortunately only certain carriers are supported. If you have Net10 or Tracfone you're out of luck for now. Even though I have Net10, my son has Virgin Mobile and it worked with that carrier.
Filling out the MeFile takes a while but you really need to do it. That's how they match advertisers to you.
You won't get any notification that there are ads available for you, so you do need to check daily, sometimes multiple times a day.
They do pay every Friday via PayPal. However, I noticed that they do withhold some of your earnings for a transaction fee. Not much, but you do need to be aware of that.
My biggest complaint about YouData is there just aren't a lot of ads for me to view. I had enough for $2 the first week, nothing the second week, and 2 ads for 20 cents last week. It might be my demographics or it could be that they are relatively new.
Definitely give it a try. It's nice to get a little something for watching a few ads.
4dabirds's comment on Greenfield Online ...
Mostly Sweeps entries
I remember when I first started doing online surveys for extra money I was thrilled when I received a $10 survey from Greenfield. My thrill started to leave after it took me over 2 hours to complete the survey. I was even more disappointed when the amount took a long time to credit to my account. And I was none too happy with how long it took to receive my check. That was 2 years ago. Now, they offer Paypal as an option with a low $1 minimum to cash out. If you request Paypal you receive your money fairly quickly. While there are some paying surveys and some surveys that lead to high paying Invoke sessions, most of the survey invites I get are for sweepstakes entries. I am not fond of spending a lot of time taking a survey just to be entered into a sweepstakes. If you don't mind wading through the sweeps entry surveys, this is a nice site to belong to.
4dabirds's comment on American Consumer Opinion ...
Good but could be better
I have belonged to ACOP for 2 years now. The majority of their surveys pay very well. While they used to mail a check for each survey a few weeks after completing the survey, they have recently switched to crediting your account and holding the money until you request a check. There is no minimum to cash out and they pay very quickly (the last time I cashed out was on 7/28 and I received my check on 8/1). Their surveys are interesting, but unfortunately they are infrequent. I still recommend joining though.
4dabirds's comment on Survey Savvy ...
Disappointing
In the entire time I have belonged to Survey Savvy, I have only ever qualified for 1 survey. Granted, it was a high paying survey ($35) but 1 survey in over a year? It seems that the are more interested in you referring people to boost your account balance. They constantly remind you that you can earn more by referring your friends and family. I won't tell people not to join but I will say not to hold your breath on earning a lot on this site.
4dabirds's comment on MySurvey.com ...
One of the best
MySurvey was one of the first survey sites I joined years ago. They send a good number of surveys on a weekly basis or you can check your home page for surveys that are available for you take. One of the best things about them is they don't send you a survey unless you qualify to take it, no more DQ'ing and getting nothing. Basically they send out paid screeners, you are guaranteed to get 10 points for completing the survey. Quite frequently, after completing the initial few questions, you will qualify for a longer survey worth more points. I have qualified for numerous product tests through MySurvey. You can save your points for merchandise or request a check in increments of $10 (1000 points is equal to $10). I have cashed out for both merchandise and checks. Merchandise takes longer to receive. Every check I have ever requested has been received within 3 weeks of cashing out. Points add up fairly quickly. They also offer a good referral program where you earn 150 points for every person you refer who completes their profile survey. All in all, this is one that is definitely worth joining. After 7 years, I have yet to be disappointed.
4dabirds's comment on Survey Spot ...
It's ok, but there are better
I have belonged to this site for over 2 years now. In the beginning, I received mostly sweepstakes entry surveys. Then I learned if you went directly to the site, you were more likely to find the paying ones. For well over I year, I did paying surveys quite regularly. I received a fairly large amount of product tests. When ever I cashed out, I received my check rather quickly. Then for some unknown reason I stopped getting surveys sent to my email. I noticed it when I completed a product test and didn't receive the follow-up email. After some research, I discovered that the follow up had been sent but I never received it. I emailed Survey Spot but never got a response. I haven't been banned because I can still log in and take surveys. I am concerned about not receiving another product test follow up though. And that is one of the biggest downfalls; the site doesn't list available surveys. Instead it just rotates through surveys you can take. Unlike other sites, you can't log in and take a specific survey. It's ok, but there are better ones out there.
4dabirds's comment on MySurvey.com ...
One of the Best
Mysurvey.com was the first survey company I joined. I have been a member for several years now. While survey invites may be sporadic, they often lead to great product tests. One of the best things about Mysurvey.com is that even if you disqualify from a survey, you are still awarded points, usually 10. You don't have to wait for a survey invite via email, just log on to your account and any open surveys for you or other members of your household are listed. They offer a good referral program, offering 150 points for each friend you refer that completes their initial survey. I have redeemed for both cash and gift cards. When I first joined, the payout was rather slow even for emailed rewards. Now, I mainly redeem for checks and they are honestly one of the fastest paying. I received my last check with in 2 weeks of cashing out. For anyone interested in getting started taking online surveys for extra spending money, Mysurvey.com is a good place to start.
