My name is Debbie. I live in sunny Florida, formally from NY. I have been crocheting for nearly 30 yrs. I learned the basics from a family friend, and self taught the rest myself. I can crochet almost anything. I have just turned my hobby, which I love to do,(or maybe it's an obsession?) into a small business . Many items to see, New items and deals added frequently. Do you have something in mind that you don't see here? Then just ask and i'll see what I can do.Custom orders welcome.

DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Craigslist Traffic ...
Well worth the price
Craigslist Traffic actually helped me bring more views to my listings. I had tried using Craigslist in the past, but was discouraged by getting buried or having my post marked as spam. The ebook offers lots of useful information on how to get started with selling on Craigslist and it was very easy to navigate. Well worth the investment price.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on LinkReferral ...
LinkReferral is not as great as I thought it would be
I have been on LR for a while. I didn't upgrade and pay to be on the top, so I have to do some "work" in order to keep my links at the top of the list. What you do is basically (30)review and (10?)rate other sites, (1)pick a favorite, (1)post in the forums and that bumps you further up the list. That gives you a better chance that others will do the same for you. I have gotten some nice compliments and ratings, but no sales as a direct result (that I'm aware of). But I figure for the cost of $0 in my case, any exposure can't hurt.
You can also broadcast to people who have picked you as a favorite, or something else, (sorry I forgot the term they use) to announce a sale etc. You can only do it every so many days. I think it's 2 weeks. Kind of hard to remember when I don't have it right in front of me.
So to wrap it up, good for "drive-by views & ratings".
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Survey Spot ...
Survey Spot has gotten pretty cheap with their paid survey offers
I have been a member of Survey Spot for quite a few years. I have been disappointed with their "rewards" lately. They will send you an email that you qualify for example, a $3 survey, but then most of the time when you click on the link, it says you don't qualify and they will search for a new survey for you. Usually it's for a chance at their drawing and an instant win game, either a scratch off or spin a slot game. I never have won on either, although some people claimed they have.
They also do not make it easy to see if you do have any money in your account. (cash out is $5)You have to actually go out of the site, then search in your browser for surveyspot.com then log in and go to your rewards.
I have made money, and they do pay, It's just becoming a lot less lately.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Viral Tweets ...
Twitter does increase traffic to your site, but just for the moment
I've been using Twitter for my crochet site. When I list a new item, I "Tweet" about it. The views start really coming in, but it's short lived. I guess it would also depend on how many followers you have. I don't think I have gotten any sales directly from it, but it's worth a "Tweet" a day I think-can't hurt.
You can also delete your old Tweets.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Project Wonderful ...
Project Wonderful is great site for inexpensive advertising
I have been a member of Project Wonderful for some time. I think it's great for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on advertising. You can ad your ads to participating web sites who offer ad space for as low as $0.
If you have a site of your own, you can do the same. I offer ad spaces on my blog for free and some for just a few cents. You can accumulate money and cash out once you reach $10 (I think) through your Paypal, or just use the funds to bid on ad space.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on MindField Online ...
Mindfield Online A little too long to wait for survey invites
I have been a member for a long time. Quite frankly, it's one of the sites at the bottom of my list. They send very few surveys and you have to accumulate $10 before you can cash out. Most of the time I don't qualify for the ones they send anyway. It's like having to take a "mini" survey before the actual survey. I would say it's one of the survey sites I may do if I happen to remember it & was really bored.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on SMC Business Opportunity ...
Could work out for a salesperson
I tried this years ago before I had a computer. I think if I tried it and opened up a web based store, it just might work out. They do give you a lot of very helpful tips and information. One of the things I liked is they do all the shipping. The products are cute, but I wouldn't call them "top-rate". I honestly didn't apply myself much to this program at the time. If you have a few bucks and know sales and have to enthusiasm, I would recommend them.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Lightspeed Panel ...
Pretty good site, does pay
I have done the surveys, but seems like the surveys are a bit long for the point values given.
I have been paid before, so they are legit. The site is a bit confusing as far as the navigation. Pretty good site; just doesn't hold my interest.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on Pinecone Research ...
Pinecone Research Pretty Good site
I have been a member of Pinecone Research for many years. When I started, they gave $5 checks. They later changed and gave you the option that if you made it so they pay $3 you would get more survey opportunities, and if you didn't the $5 surveys would not be as frequent.
I opted for the $3 surveys, but I think I'm actually making less than before.
Another change they made is you can have the money go right to your Paypal which I like.
Overall, it's a good site.
DebsCrochetEtsy's comment on ZoomPanel ...
Great site. I would recommend
I have been a member of ZoomPanel for quite a few years. They notify via email when a new survey is available. If you don't qualify, they still give you five points. Most of the surveys aren't very long, and the points do add up pretty quickly. Depending on your points, you choose from different levels of prizes. I have gotten several prizes ranging from flash lights to my most recent, a hair trimmer with all the attachments! They ship pretty quickly also.
