They're only interested in grabbing your money and running
I have built more than 10 websites with this service in 2 years and I don't know why I kept coming back. I guess because their site is somewhat easy to use. Big mistake on my part.
On multiple occasions, they have over-billed my premiums, lost entire web pages that took me days to construct, and their site frequently shuts down, which results in lost revenue for my business. I have received many phone calls from clients asking me, "Why doesn't your web site work?", only to find out Wix has crashed once again. Good luck trying to get support on that one. It's a waiting game.
The list of issues with Wix is endless. I cannot give them a poor enough review. Several times, they have billed me twice in one month for the same premium. It's taken me more than 3 weeks to get that money back. They do NOT offer support - they will direct you to an online forum and often take more than 7 days to respond to an issue. Calling them on the phone (if you can find a phone number) is futile - they will always tell you "we cannot handle your problem on the phone, please post your question on our forum". It's an endless cycle. On 2 separate occasions, the files for websites I'd created (both more than 20 pages each) were LOST. Wix avoided me for weeks before admitting that they'd lost my work and had no idea what happened. The worst part was that they didn't offer me a refund AT ALL. The eventually dropped all communication with me and disappeared. This was the final straw for me. I urge people to consider alternate services, as Wix is just in it to grab your money and disappear. They do not - DO NOT - know the meaning of service. Run as far from them as you can if you value your money and time. They are laughing behind their desks as they collect cash from unsuspecting customers.
