JosefBenjamin's comment on Lee McIntyre ...
A rising IM star - from ebay to IM
A lot of people don’t know this, but he used to be a very successful eBay marketer. I know this because it wasn’t too long ago that he was selling his courses on how to master eBay and simultaneously promoting IM products.
Ultimately, he’s made a wise choice switching over to IM, because around the time he did, I did as well - and it’s been good to the both of us.
He’s been creeping up on all of us fast, and he’s a very genuine, and great marketer and guy overall. He follows through on what he says he’ll do, and he doesn’t beat around the bush - at least that’s what I got from his eBay marketing training videos.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Ken Evoy ...
The Dr's in the house
This guy has got to be one of the most famous doctors in the world - that’s right, even more famous than Dr. Phil!
Dr. Ken Evoy helped revolutionized the online business industry teaching people how to set up SEO keyword targeted blogs, generating traffic, and ranking on the first page with keywords.
Personally, I don’t care for the system or product, but that’s because I focus more on direct sales and getting leads, or very specific results for traffic I generate, but this system is great for almost any newbie wanting to make money online.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jonathan Leger ...
Created The famous $7 script
Most people know John famously from the “$7 Secrets” product. It was a great idea and product at the time of it’s introduction and still is, but I’ve since grown out of wanting to sell super cheap products on the idea that you’ll sell more of them, faster – when from my personal research and testing, I found it to be the same amount of work if not more selling cheaper products than it is to sell a $47 product or even a $1000 product.
Nonetheless, I believe this product to be a stepping stone to mentally and personally grow to accept larger amounts of money with smaller effort. Great for when you want to experience your first few sells, kinda sucks when you want to grow beyond selling $7 ebooks – other than that, Johnathan is a great programmer (it’s what he does), and he couldn’t have done a better job.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jonathan Mizel ...
Pretty good marketer, knows his stuff
Mizel is one of those marketing legends you would want to meet in person and have a conversion with one-on-one. I know I would pay anything to sit with this guy over lunch and pick his brain.
I’m subscribed to his free email newsletter, and it’s incredible. There aren’t many big name marketers giving away so much because so many of them capitalize on their name way too often with constant promotions and a bombardment of emails.
Jonathan, however, is different. You’d be a little nutty to read up on this guy. He’s the real deal. At the very least, subscribe to his free e-newsletter, you’ll be glad you did.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jonathan Budd ...
Good Market, But Bashes Others To Get Ahead
John came out around the same time, if not a little after, the success of MLM Lead System Pro. But before the success of MLSP (which is said to be the driving force behind his own similar network marketing system program for struggling networkers), he was prominent on youtube, facebook, and PPC.
I know because I was so used to seeing his face all over the place on Adwords.
His views on some peoples services were almost always a little on the negative side, and hinting at competitors inferiority to his products and services. At the end of his videos, after bashing, he would mention his own products/services.
A cheap shot, and the only reason I never bother buying any of his stuff is because of the often times false information he would tell his listeners about other peoples products. It’s unnecessary to compete against someone else products, but other than this, I hear nothing but great things about his services when he’s not focused on how others products are inferior to his.
JosefBenjamin's comment on John Reese ...
A IM trendsetter
His story is incredible, and I always choke up when I read about it or hear him speak it (by the way, if you want to see him emotionally charged talking about his story – check out Tony Robbins interview on him and Frank Kern – it’s touching, emotional, and full of practical tips by Reese himself to get out of the rut).
It’s hard to believe his “Million Dollar Day” was created in the basement of his parent's home – but he did it, and has since excelled.
His teachings on IM are incredible, and he doesn’t skimp on the information, he gives it to you all up front.
His biggest secret? Selling big ticket products, and avoiding the small ticket products. It takes the same amount of work to sell a $1000 product as it does a $10…I follow this advice religiously, and it’s helped expand my context ten-fold on what’s possible.
JosefBenjamin's comment on John Chow ...
Check out JohnChow. Com - Incredible blog fromt the master himself
I love this guy’s blog. I wasn’t around to watch his growth from making zero dollars to running this 30k+ online operation and his own advertising firm. Looking at his earlier blog posts, he set a simple goal – and turned his dream of not having a regular job and turned it into a reality.
In fact, one video I watch maybe twice a month on his blog is him at the park with his young daughter. Showcasing why he was the only one at the park, and how he doesn’t have to commute back and forth to work. I too live a similar lifestyle, although I’m yet to earn similar money :).
He recommends some of the best teachers too. I found one of the best stock investors on his site and when I do start getting involved in that business much later down the line, I would take John up on that recommendation.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Joe Vitale ...
From Homeless To a Driving Sports Car
Joe Vitale is one of the most humble internet marketers I know. I guess it helps since he lived out the trunk of his car homeless for years before something “clicked” and he became an overnight sensation.
Passion is what describes this man and very spiritual. If you don’t know anything about him you can catch him on “The Secret”. You can watch him in action, and then you can purchase one of my favorite books of his “Hypnotic Writing”. It’s a classic.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Joel Christopher ...
He's the listbuilder master for a good reason
Joel isn’t the master listbuilder on purpose. He’s called that for a reason and the only person I’ve seen who even comes any where close to matching the teachings of Joel is Alex Jefferies. So, I study (and continue to study both) while at the same time implementing much of what Joel talks about you can find on youtube with a bit of research.
There is no convincing argument to NOT building a list, and when I started building my own, I always made money.
Listbuilding is the key to building a true asset and goes beyond the one off sale, I recommend Joel.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Joel Comm ...
Created The Famous "Iphart App" - super cool marketer
I purchased one of his most famous books “the adsense code”. But before than, I learned much about him from the work he actually does on adsense, his case studies, and his blog. He’s since than gone forward to creating profitable Iphone applications and putting his stamp on the first reality series internet marketing program.
I don’t watch much television, if any, especially the junk I see on TV – but his reality show was probably one of the best, educational programs there are next to biographies on TV.
JosefBenjamin's comment on John Carlton ...
A Dang Fine Copywriter
In my 9 month journey to learning how to write copy and write ads, one of the first people I sought out was John Carlton.
His writing style is very different, but he ALWAYS follows the same process every successful copywriter follows – and occasionally he breaks down barriers on what’s possible and makes a killing from it.
I since then stopped training to be a copywriter (not for me), but as a internet marketer, it’s critical for anyone who wants to take their online career seriously to study under this man.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Joe Sugarman ...
THE greatest adman of the 21st Century
I’ve had the good fortune of buying both “Triggers” and “Advertising Secrets of the Written Word”. Both are great books, and if you are an aspiring copywriter or want to take your marketing career seriously and to the next level, you can’t go wrong with getting his best “Advertising Secrets…”.
They both pretty much say the same thing, the only difference is that “Triggers” is a short hand version of “Advertising Secrets…”.
If you want to get into the mind of the guy who sold over 20 million sunglasses and practically invented the pocket calculator – you can’t go wrong with studying Joe.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jo Han Mok ...
A Young Coypwriting Phenomenon
I signed up to his email list not long ago (about 2-3 weeks), and his information coincides with the likes of Ewen Chia and Jeff Johnson. His credibility ranks right up there with the best of the best and he speaks with such conviction, you would swear he was standing right beside you telling you what to do to grow your online business every step of the way.
I see him more of a copywriter 1st, marketer 2nd, so I don’t subscribe to ALL of his products (because I don’t have any intentions on being a world-class copywriter), but if YOU do, you can’t go wrong with Jo Han Mok.
Be prepared to take in many complicated concepts and trying to implement them all. He does a great job teaching you how it’s done in Recipe For Riches, but there are some concepts that can go waaaay over anyone’s head who has not been exposed to the kind of secrets Jo reveals in this product.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jimmy Brown ...
Want to learn how to build a list, he’s your guy!
If you want to learn EVERYTHING there is to know about the history of list building, why building a list is important, and HOW to build a list of your own - Jimmy’s the man to do it. He was also one of the first - even before Ryan Deiss - to implement the use of “continuity membership websites”.
He openly admitted not long ago that he was “semi-retired”, and that his websites and continuity programs run on auto-pilot bringing in thousands of dollars monthly. He hasn’t released a new product or been in the spotlight much because of his decision to focus on other areas of his life like ministry and spending even more time with his family than he ever has before.
Nonetheless, his information is still among the best out there, and left the business actively with EVERYTHING he knows about running successful online businesses. I highly recommend him.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jim Edwards ...
Learn time-tested principles from one of the founding IM fathers
Jim Edwards is one of the founding fathers of the Internet Marketing age. When I first started a few years back, he was one of the few gurus (at the time) I would listen to and take advice from. Here’s a man who practices what he preach and then some.
I got a chance to take a look at the “ebook secrets exposed”, and I was pleasantly surprised with all the wealth of information he packed in this little product. Granted, the sales page isn’t one of his “best” and fanciest looking, but it got the job done for me helping me write ebooks - and to SELL them with confidence.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jeff Walker ...
Stay away if you don’t have your own products yet (and most of us don’t
WARNING: Do NOT buy Product Launch Formula UNLESS you have your own products to sell.
There are many other products out there that will teach you how to CREATE your own product if you don’t have one, but don’t make the mistake of buying PLF if you don’t already have one to sell or looking to sell.
The reason being that he doesn’t have much information (If any) on how to create your product - that’s not what the course is about. His products are primarily how to market, sell, promote and advertise yourself and your products to the market.
This is great, because you know that when and if you want to go on click bank, you will know how the launch process works and who to go to when you get ready to do so - and that’s Jeff Walker.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jeff Johnson ...
His work on SEO marketing and driving traffic is 2nd to none
His underground training video series will blow you out of the water. If you check out some of his videos on you tube, you’ll find a seminar he did not long ago talking about his use of selling only high profit margin products ($1000+) compared to $7 products. Not only that but he charges continuity fee’s for those high end products so he regularly clears checks in the 100’s of thousands of dollars.
I can agree with him on his decision to stick with high paying products because I tried my hand at CPA marketing, and the returns just aren’t worth my time pursuing even when make a few bucks here and there…what would take me a week to make in CPA campaigns I make in less than 12 hours. Granted, they aren’t up there in the 2k+ range, but his UTL series makes me more flexible to the idea of selling higher cost products.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jay Conrad Levinson ...
Check out his book Quit Your Job to see where it all started
I had no idea Jay was around for as long as he is now. It actually shocked me when I just recently read a book called “Quit Your Job!” that he had products out before I was born.
I was shocked only because his material back then has only gotten better now…and it appears that at the time of that writing, he himself was just building his business brick by brick and the Jay we know now didn’t exist. He was just a business man who made deals to import/export salmon for a profit.
After reading Quit Your Job!, I am now looking for any and everything he’s ever published because if it’s anything like that book or Guerilla Marketing, I’m on board.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jay Abraham ...
Not one of my favorites and very unapproachable, but good
I’ve read 1 or 2 of his internet products and found most of it to be rehashed information. Few of it is original, and the best value I think you’ll get from Jay is to be a one-on-one client.
Don’t get me wrong, his ebooks are good, but I’ve seen better and have gotten far more use out of reading and applying better products out there.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Jason Moffatt ...
If you like Frank Kern, you’ll like his style of teaching too
“Profit Moffatt” has a personality very similar to Frank Kern’s where he has no problem jumping in front of a live video feed in a pair of flip flops and a Hawaiian shirt. I can see where his attitude and style doesn’t appeal to everyone and how some people are offended with his “unprofessionality”.
But I’m not because Jason and Kern have personalities very similar to mine and it’s how I do business myself. I think they really want to stress the beauty of having your own business and the true freedom that comes with being yourself without a corporate hand putting a knot in your tie.
He’s showed up on the Warrior Forum many times. Been absent lately, but I can’t blame him because the WF is notorious for sucking up valuable time.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Imran Naseem ...
Teaches how to make money quickly, few (if any products) on building
Imran is a great guy, and he KNOWS what he’s doing. It could explain why he consistently has tons of sales for all of his WSO products. It helps that he’s very approachable and truly a generous guy sharing a lot of knowledge about twitter and facebook marketing few people know about.
It’s in my opinion that he teaches mostly “gimmick” marketing strategies that WILL and CAN make you money - short term - but rarely long term. In one of his WSO’s I purchased, it focused on marketing CPA’s a different way…and it was different…it’s just not long term suitable. Which is a personal choice of mine.
Many people want the quick turn profits and want to leave it at that, so therefore his products don’t really impress me. But if you want to follow someone who’s out there on the frontline trying difference and new ideas few people know about, Imran is your man.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Ian Del Carmen ...
His passion shows in the his brand name : Fireball marketing baby!
When I think about someone in the IM world who is truly passionate about his line of work, I instantly think of Ian Del Carmen. Nothing get’s the point across more than pictures of flames and fireballs.
I purchased one of his membership programs long ago (I forget what it was), but it had something to do with tons of free ebooks each month, support, audios, etc.
He’s alright in my books. Truly a Giver.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Harvey Segal ...
Good if you like being bombarded with a lot of info and few practical
From what I remember, Harvey’s been in the business for many, many years churning out 1 or 2 new products a year. I do remember joining his mailing list to get his free “SuperTips” ebook about 3 years ago, and although I’m sure Harvey is a master at what he does (if that’s even his real name), pretty much nothing about what he taught had any practical information to use.
I’m the type of person where if your going to teach me something, also teach me HOW to do it. Harvey’s material to me contained fluff content and full of…what else. /.. TIPS. But nothing I felt motivated to apply in real business. He loves to talk that’s for sure. Unfortunately, I don’t like to read about what works and theories any more than I want to hear people talk about the weather.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Guy Kawasaki ...
The IM version of a Robert Kiyosaki
Guy Kawasaki is to internet marketing what Robert Kiyosaki is to real estate. I say that because both of their personalities seem to mirror each other - especially their sense of humor.
I first caught a glimpse of this guy on one of his blogs months ago, and he did a sort of “How did you make millions” live meeting panel. He was the host and he introduced each guest, giving away cool internet start-up advice. Throughout the entire conference, he kept the crowds lightly entertained as well as educated.
Check out “Art of the Start”, it’s a great read.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Glenn Livingston ...
Not as famous as Perry Marshall, but just as effective and useful
Glen is plain and simple: a marketing GENIUS. What I know about the guy is that he teamed up with the likes of Perry Marshall and helped craft strategies that has made the two infamous in the PPC Adwords market.
Unfortunately, I’m not a super analytical person, so his teaching style has never fit my taste. But for some one who’s a college scholar or “whiz”, what Livingston has to tell you can help take your pay per click marketing to the next level.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Gauher Chaudry ...
If you have the deep pockets to tackle PPC, Gauher is the man to see
I’ve read one or two of his previous free reports on converting PPC traffic to CPA offers. And although I know it works for him and many others (he’s one of those guys who didn’t intend on guru status, he just knows his stuff), you have to really put in the effort to make his stuff work. Not that putting in “work” for your online business is a bad thing, but it’s certainly not all it’s cracked up to be when you take information to ACTION!
If you plan on buying any one of his paid traffic courses, you should have a nice little bank account to advertise with. Not only is his courses not cheap (and rightfully so), but the cost to USE the course is far more expensive before you start to see results.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Gary Halbert ...
A living copywriting legend - Check out his Boron Letters if anything
It was a big event when Gary Halbert passed away, even more so for me because I literally wrote out by hand almost EVERY single Boron Letter he had in print (or that I could get a hold of). I believe in one of his letters, he talks about writing out by hand his own letters and a few other great advertisements he recommends if you want to hone your skills as a copywriter.
I thought that to be ironic because I was already doing what he recommended to do to think like a marketer and sell like one. I could read his letters one by one like a book and never get bored.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Frank Kern ...
Talk about mass control…hypnotic delivery, gives incredible value,
Frank is, without question, one of the funniest IM/Niche marketers out there. He is more than a marketer, he’s a personality, and he makes no apologies for it. He doesn’t wear a suit and bow tie in his videos, and occasionally he shows up to offline summits and conferences in a pair of flip-flops, jeans, and t-shirt.
Not many can pull this off, but Frank can. I haven’t purchased any of his products (most are fairly expensive and I have considered them only as advanced courses in my own online game), but he has enough free content out there for you to take the knowledge and run with it.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Frank Bauer ...
I had great success with Viral URL, you should try it (mostly for MLM
I don’t know much about Frank’s personal life, but what I do know is that his products are top of the line and carefully thought out. He doesn’t launch a new program or product every couple of months like most, because he spends a lot of his time growing and weeding his current business models.
Viral URL is a great example. I didn’t even know this program was a modified version of traffic exchanges and credit mailers because the results I got from the program didn’t compare to lesser programs. I’ve never had a problem with their services and I’ve profited from them, so no complaints here.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Fabian Tan ...
Look beyond the cartoony character we know him as and…. check out
You know, some people are irritated by Fabian’s constant email messaging, but instead of being irritated, I embrace it because I’ve personally taken some of the emails he sent to me, modified them, and used them in my own newsletters. He’s not one of the top 5 Asian internet marketers for no reason ;).
Besides the excessive promo emails, his information is brilliant, timeless, and get’s straight to the point with little fluff. Here’s another guru who has no problem sharing EXACTLY how he generated the 100,000+ email subscribers. And they work, I’ve tried a few of them.
His success is certainly no fluke, because he’s one of the hardest working marketers I personally know through occasional email contact.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Ewen Chia ...
He won’t hide critical information, because he gives it all the way
Now this guy is by far one of my favorite guru’s “hands down”. I must admit, I’ve purchased, read, and applied the MOST of his information from any other and I ALWAYS got the results I was looking for. Not only does this guy “walk the walk” and leads by his OWN examples, he knows how to TEACH what he knows and does so well, that the connection between him and I is seamless.
I don’t mean to sound sappy, but this guy reveals ALL the secrets to success. He explains why competition is “non-existent” and that if you have a passion, drive and determination to succeed, you can do it in ANY niche market you choose (even if it IS business or money related). He really doesn’t hold back any information like so many others do expecting you to “be prepared” to fork over more money for the rest of it.
I love this guy, and it’s because he does so many things right.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Eric Louviere ...
Great marketer and teacher, just not my cup o’ tea
Eric Louviere’s products were the staple to me wanting to get involved in Internet marketing. How? He came out with a lot of IM related products talking about topics from generating traffic to building a solid list. They are older products, and they all had different names, but I remember distinctly the colors being “blue and red” ebook covering.
Some of those products were videos explaining how to do a specific thing, and now that I look back at them, those topics stand the test the time today even against some of the more modern techniques.
I personally never cared much for his teaching style, but that’s why there are many people out there who teach the stuff - to cater to a specific taste. I found most of his products to be pretty bland and hard to sit through because his personality for me, just doesn’t appeal to me, nonetheless - the information contained is solid if you can stay awake long enough to see and listen to it.
A great marketer, one who I hadn’t followed for some time, but still respected.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Eric Holmlund ...
5 Years In The Making - and just turned 30
I didn’t know what it was that made me keep such a close eye on his blog. I still remember when he was a small time marketer, and just making a name for himself - up to now where he’s doing JV’s with some of the biggest names in marketing today.
His “Erics Tips” was one of the few newsletters I subscribed to for many years (and still) to this day.
Oh, I remember now why I kept going back to his blog when I had a problem I was looking to solve myself : it was because the way he presents his information via words and now video, is like a skilled copywriting college teacher. He just knows how to get across to you and “suggest” products without blatantly selling to you. Not to be confused with his inability to market and sell because it seems like he does it so naturally.
Incredibly open and honest man. From the guy with the bushy beard and “mop top” to the clean cut shaven fellow.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Edmund Loh ...
A PLR Marketing MultiMillionaire
I learned all about PLR articles and products from Dylan Loh and to this day when I want some PLR content, all I go to his him. He single-handedly started the PLR craze, and helped bring in yet another profitable business model into the IM industry.
I subscribed to his email newsletters, and they are jam packed with content and little sales hype. He typically doesn’t email promotions on a daily basis, he’s deliberate, and knows how to offer consistent value for the products he offers.
I’ve never considered using PLR content myself to sell to others, but I did find value in using the content itself to help me write many articles, create my own ebooks, and help write my own email newsletter series - all thanks to Edmund for bringing it mainstream.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Ed Dale ...
The 30-Day Blueprint King
Oh man, Ed Dale is a serious talker (and it’s not because of his accent). I really like him though and find his information to be innovative and highly useful, but in many of his videos he tends to blab on and on topics that have nothing to do with the topic you want to hear him talk about.
His 30-Day challenge video series therefore runs about twice as long as it should because of random rambles. All fine and a minor quibble considering he shares EVERYTHING he knows about marketing, sales, and the such for free. This guy is one of the coolest self-proclaimed “nerds” I know and for anyone interested in taking the social media marketing to the next level, he’s the guy you want to see. It takes a lot of work to build up the kind of momentum he has, but many following his teachings are having great success.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Eben Pagan ...
One of my early online marketing mentors
For many, many months I had not a clue that the man behind “Double Your Dating” wasn’t who I imagined him to be. Actually, I believed the creator was someone who simply shared his experience with women from writing on a laptop in his mother's basement. Eben hadn’t revealed his “true” identity for quite some time and I gotta say - he had me fooled.
But boy was I curious to know the man who made me face the horrible dating life I once had.
More importantly, I wanted to know how he built his online business the way he has. And lately, he’s been giving away such incredible content on marketing, business, and personal growth, it’s hard to take anyone else as seriously as this man.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Dylan Loh ...
Pretty Cool Guy - Really Knows His Stuff
Dylan Loh’s a young guy who I can really relate to when it came to internet marketing. I think it was in ‘07 when I discovered him through the warrior forum by recommendation (there was an entire thread about him, his then “new” product Secret Article Profits).
I was impressed and seeing as how my writing skills at the time was pretty bad (still holding on to public school English writing), I went ahead and gave his course a shot, and “oh” and behold - it helped me become a slightly better, confident writer.
It wasn’t until many months later that I became truly comfortable with other people seeing my content, but it was certainly the start of my journey.
I will be meeting Dylan personally in a few months, always great to connect with like minded young-entrepreneurs.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Derek Gehl ...
Cory Rudl's Partner In Crime
Who better to carry the torch and legacy that of Cory Rudl?
I really can’t imagine anyone adding onto what was already a great business model (although in my opinion, usually outdated). Derek Gehl brought a fresh new perspective to the Internet Marketing Center and worked even harder than his predecessor to stay on top of the online game despite it’s numerous changes.
If you go to the blog, you’ll find a wealth of info any newbie can soak up before getting started on their IM adventure. Personally, I found his Marketing Tips Report to be quite helpful in solving the occasional one or two minor problems I have. It’s pretty basic, but it’s often the basics we all forget about that we need to master first.
JosefBenjamin's comment on David Garfinkel ...
An Old-Skool Legend Copywritter
It’s been a while since I’ve looked into Mr. Garfinkel’s copywriting teachings - mostly due to the fact that I prefer marketing more than I do copywriting and stopped pursuing it as a career direction. But, when I was studying (which is still important even if you don’t intend on being a professional copywriter), I was always floored by his content.
He’s not as well known as most of the other copywriters I personally really like, but his low-key presence can be an attractive quality for many of his clients but at the same time seem “unapproachable” than others.
The only book I read of his was “Guerilla Marketing”. Excellently written and spoken like a true genius right next to Jay Levinson.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Dani Johnson ...
Tony Robbins Female Counterpart
Version of Tony Robbins. Seriously, I’ve listened to a few female speakers, and she’s the only one I consistently go to for more than motivational purposes.
If you go to her website, she gives away so much content and value, you could take it and run with it to success without buying a single product…but that’s what makes her presentation and marketing so brilliant. Even when you don’t really NEED more information, you want more of HER and your ready to pay for that privilege.
I going to go see her speak late this year, I’m pumped!
JosefBenjamin's comment on Dan Lok ...
One Confident Copywriter
Dan Lok made a strong name for himself as copywriter before he gave that side of his business up to focus on his own business efforts (smart move). I believe he stopped around the time he became a millionaire to focus on launching his own products. I forget the name of this one product, but it had something to do with outsourcing and at the time, outsourcing was fairly new and rarely talked about until it’s launch.
His emails I got relating to that outsourcing product made me think totally different from what I was used to (doing everything myself). Very solid writer, too.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Dan Kennedy ...
One of my early copywriting mentors
I caught wind of D. K. a few years ago when I was browsing around on you tube looking for ways to improve my copywriting skills. I came across this video, I thought at the time was current, of him speaking at a seminar full of people on the psychology of marketing, how to write copy, etc. He showed a few results on screen relating to his past direct sales marketing efforts, including what I know now to be T. V. infomercials.
As I said before, all of this info seemed current for the times, until I looked him up and found out those videos I saw on you tube were 20+ years old! Even for the time (around when I was born), it holds true till this day.
He’s a legend, and his work proves his mastery.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Brad Callen ...
No one knows SEO like this guy
This is the go-to-guy of SEO marketing. Whenever I think of SEO, I think of Brad and the first thing I do is read a few of his articles, watch a few videos, or buy 1 or 2 of his products.
He’s also one of the leaders in Keyword research. I purchased the keyword elite program and I used it mostly for pay per click campaigns which worked out just as well, if not sometimes better, than word tracker.
I really don’t have anything negative to say about Brad except for I’m not a big SEO marketing fan - but when I was interested in learning that side of the business to learn if it was right for me, he was the only guy I trusted to listen to when it comes to Search Engine Optimization.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Bob Parsons ...
Knows domains like no other and how to promote it
Oh man, Parsons has got to be one of the coolest online marketers I’ve seen in a very long time. Most highly successful are very professional, some what stuffy (not a bad thing if that’s your personality), but Mr. Parsons keeps a personal blog that reveals super cool business and personal growth tips in a very cool way.
He certainly knows how to reach crowds of almost any age group, his commercials are proof of it with beautiful women and professionalism. He turned domain names into a profitable business using advertising mediums unheard of for this product at the time.
His sense of humor doesn’t fit the fact that he’s probably a billionaire by now. He knows how to connect to a crowd and most importantly be himself.
They’re hosting service sucks, but they’re domain names are the best. And don’t even get me started on the brilliance of their up sell system…
JosefBenjamin's comment on Armand Morin ...
Really good seminar speaker from what I've seen on video and heard
Armand is an incredibly smart, and keen business man. I know him as the king of the Big Ticket Seminars. He effortlessly sells these tickets like candy, but I couldn’t help but admire how he does it and the lives he touch.
He’s a master marketer, and I believe to be worth several millions of dollars.
He came out with many useful and innovative products at the time like the pop-up program when spam and pop-ups were being blocked from left to right and marketers were racking their brain on how to get over that problem.
I wish I had the opportunity to attend one of his seminars, and someday soon I believe I will.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Anik Singal ...
This guy knows his stuff
I was at a crossroad between his affiliate classroom membership and PPC classroom. After doing some research, I decided to give the AC membership trial a shot, and it was everything I expected and more.
This I can say - he over delivers big time and doesn’t hesitate to show you the goods!
This guy holds nothing out and his passion to teach is quite clear. He’s a leader in the PPC field and shows you how to build a business - a corporation - not a one trick money pony.
I couldn’t recommend this man anymore than what I’ve clearly stated above, his reputation is that and more. You can’t go wrong with Anik.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Andrew Fox ...
Good Guru, not one of my favorites though
Now this guy is a man of integrity. His products were a little hyped up - but what “make money online program” isn’t?
I still remember when his Guru Slayer brought a lot of controversy to the forum communities - starting conversations that had nothing to do with the product itself - people fed off the name and assumed he was bashing gurus when he was doing the opposite.
It was a great marketing ploy that generated more interest and curiosity going on to be one of the top sellers in the click bank marketing place. Straight forward approach and I’m just now finding out he was 21 when he got wealthy…just makes me want to work even harder now and meet him one day.
He's really good at what he does, but I personally prefer content from Alex Jeffries than Fox. Alex's personality is more like mines and the way I am with people, but that's just me.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Andrew Cavanagh ...
One of my early copywriting mentors
I purchased one of Andrew’s Iphone marketing landing pages when the Iphone was about to launch at a time when I was struggling to make money on line. Still, nothing much changed, but the product was 1st rate and worth more than the $5 I paid for it.
I later learned he’s also an established copywriter, and for a while he took me under his wing and taught me a few things that improved my salesmanship. I mean this literally. I just emailed him and asked him if he would help me improve my writing and he did. It did help, and I became a better copywriter and ad writer for it.
Super cool, highly accessible at the time. Humble man and a nice family.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Alex Mandossian ...
Knows how seminars work
When I started Internet Marketing a few years ago, one of the few people I was recommended to looking into was Arman Morin and Alex Mandossian. At the time, I was only aware of his teleseminar skills and how powerful they are and the effect it has on pulling out people's wallets.
I wanted to learn how he did it by listening on a few calls and it was nothing short of amazing. If your going to listen in on one of his teleseminars and don’t have the intention of purchasing anything, leave your wallet in a locked safe because he has a way of making you want more of what he promotes. ;)
Recently, I’ve been seeing him on Youtube lately, and as always giving excellent advice. I’m going into Direct Mail soon to generate another stream of income, and apparently he’s a master in Direct Sales Advertising. Works for me.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Alex Jeffreys ...
Listbuilding Genius
From what I know about Alex (and what I’ve personally seen), he at one point sold ATV bikes on eBay from a living. He made great money doing it, and had a lot of fun driving them to demonstrate on video for his prospects, but according to him, it just wasn’t automated and required a lot of time and attention on a constant basis.
He released his first ebook - which I forget the name of it but I believe it has a cow on the front cover - and it talked about his ATV business. Not in much detail, but I’m sure it sparked a few ideas amongst those who read this report when it was released at the time.
From there, he wanted to take it further and learn how to build an asset and leave behind the business of selling vehicles and ebooks to building a list.
His free audios alone with his most recent material is gold and he’s one of those guys who constantly pushes the “free line” and redefines the word “VALUE”, how to share it, how to promote it, and how to profit from it.
Very easy to listen to, and doesn’t mind spilling all the beans -even on his FREE stuff. Incredible guy.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Dale Calvert ...
LocalMLM Millionaire Mentor
After listening to Confessions Of A Network Marketing Millionaire, I was hooked!
This tape series doesn’t just talk about the aspects of network marketing, it talks about personal growth and how to grow with your business. In fact, I still have the tape series to this day.
I can vouch for the credibility of Dale and his team. They’re helpful, reliable, and are quick to answer every question you throw at them.
His humble beginnings to the start up of his own company Nu Wave changed the lives of hundreds of people and made a number of them millionaires. I can say he’s changed my way of thinking in such a huge way, it would be almost impossible to find the level of passion and authenticity of Dale Calvert.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Christopher Knight ...
Article Marketing Leader
Chris created the now infamous Ezine Articles article directory. The love-child of google search engines.
His brilliance is captured in the simplicity of this directory and the way he consistently moves his business forward into other avenues and improving on the ezine article system.
Lately, people have been shaken up by his recent decisions to scrub hundreds and thousands of articles in favor of only the best of the best hosted on his servers to keep his directory relevant in the eyes of google. But these decisions I feel are a good thing.
The criteria is a lot stricter to get an article posted and the lag time between submission and publishing increased, but this pushes out a lot of affiliate product pushers in favor for the more serious entrepreneurs willing to step up to the plate and bring even stronger material to the masses.
I have a few articles hosted on EA myself, and some of them have generated a few affiliate sales for me - for free. Couldn’t ask for anything better than that.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Chris Pirillo ...
Who WOULDN'T want to be this guys friend?
I am not a computer geek or whiz. I know how to do basic maintenance and I know how to make money with them, anything beyond that I would need to hire someone to fix.
But Chris…this guy makes anything computer related seem easy. And really fun to do. It’s no wonder tech geeks and non-tech geeks alike visit his blog in swarms.
It’s clear this man is not really a stereotypical computer nerd because he can be demanding and tough in his videos. His personality is an interesting mix of intelligence and confidence.
I don’t visit his blog much, but I have seen him on you tube many times, and his “make money online” advice is second to none always spilling the beans on what works, what doesn’t, and how to use what works to make money.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Charlie Page ...
Ezine King
I learned of Directory of Ezines through a network marketing company of mine at the time, and for the longest, I knew nothing of the person behind the massive website.
After learning of his name, I looked him up and did quite a bit of research. Great reputation at the time, but not much material from Charlie himself. I would imagine he keeps a pretty low profile until recently with his blog that features videos of himself talking about different aspects of marketing. Very helpful.
Nonetheless, this guy is a master at his craft, and frequently uses his own products himself to make more money online.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Carl Ocab ...
Online Kid Wonder
Carl is one unique individual. I purchased his blogging package a few years back and he provides (and continues to give) great support for his products.
He reminds me a lot of a really young John Chow in that they both started wanting to do something productive for the internet and both end up at the top of their game financially with seemingly little effort.
I came to find Carl when I typed in, you guessed it “make money online”. He was indeed #1 for the position and likely still is.
There’s no doubt this kid is going to dominate the IM scene as he ages with more experience and wisdom. To be a young guy myself, I’m proud to be in the company of someone so inspirational.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Brian Keith Voiles ...
Taps Into A Child Like Magic When Writing His Copy
For a few months, I wanted to study the art of copywriting, and of all the great leaders in the industry I followed to hone my skill - I always found myself gravitating towards Brian's teaching and writing style.
I also found it interesting that he got his start writing copy almost by accident when he was doing magic show’s and putting on performances. His copywriting skills helped him make really good money in the entertainment business and got him more clients than he needed. This allowed him to raise his fees.
I suppose his writing style is similar to the way he wrote his advertisements when he worked as a magician/clown. That would probably explain why I was so madly attracted to his writing and teaching style.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Earners Unite ...
If it's for you, give it a shot
I've been a free member for only a few weeks now, and the only real benefit I can see out of this is the occasional advertising here or there... which is pretty much useless to me since others are focused on their advertising and have little concern for yours.
I noticed that's a $100 charge to upgrade, but I just don't see the point in taking that risk when I have easily taken that cash and done other things with it... like buy webhosting, some ppc advertising and a email solo campaign.
They say “there's no such thing as a free lunch”, and it's especially true with Elite... there' banking on me eventually upgrading to make my free membership worthwhile, but what do I get out of the deal?
From what I can see, nothing.
The good thing is that if you know how to promote, you can make a decent income referring others to Elite Marketing... and although I am a good marketer, I just couldn't bring myself to promote this product after my 8 week long experience... I'd feel guilty... and that can't be good.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Online Supplier ...
Decent Wholesale/Dropshipper... Never Really Wholesale
--The Good--
It's a legit “dropshipper”. You can avoid storage products in your basement and taking up space you don't have, and if you can get around ebay's current policy, you may be able to find a way to work this outdated system.
It may not be ebay certified, but I think it's a good thing because there aren't as many promoting their products (or it's a little cheaper) than dropshippers like Doba.
--The Bad--
I've tried many websites similar to this promising low wholesale prices and cheap shipping, but it just doesn't exist especially when your paying close to 30% over “normal sold auctions” for the same product you THINK your getting wholesale.
It's like a bad dream, but no matter how many of these “wholesale” or “dropship” websites you go to, it's all the same.
If it's being advertised, the money has to be made “somewhere”, and it's typically in the prices you pay for wholesale.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Push Button Xtreme ...
Unrealistic False Claims Of "Auto-Success"
Regardless of what the salespage says, it takes more actual work and effort than you would think to make $1,980 a month. And it's certainly not “push button” as the website would suggest.
PBX makes a VERY unrealistic promise of cycling members under you without ANY marketing, promotion, recruitment of your own... it just doesn't add up when you really stop and think about it.
Why would any company give you a portion of the profits if their the ones bringing in the downline for you?
It makes more sense to keep those recruits yourself and make full profit than to share it with a bunch of people who seriously think all they have to do is buy in and wait for something to happen.
I didn't believe it one bit, but curiosity killed the cat.
I budged a little and had to cancel my membership almost as fast as I signed up.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Earn Fast Cash With Google ...
Ignore the ads... there all over the place like nats
Trying this product was easily one of the biggest mistake purchases I've got all year.
This is one of those common “make money” sites I kept seeing all over the place, so naturally, I was compelled to see what it was about because no matter where I looked (watch movies, play games, youtube, etc) it just wouldn't leave me alone.
I thought “what can I lose, it's only $2.95”.
Long story short, I would've been better off buying a case of beer and scrolling the internet for more useful information – for free.
Save your dollars, and ignore the ads... as misleading as they may be.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Bebiz ...
A Cool Alternative To SiteBuildIt
I couldn't help the temptation to pay the $2.95 30 day trial to see how this system compares to more popular (and in my opinion more useful) Site build It. I went ahead and got the trial simply to test and see if it would be a service I could recommend to my list of newbies.
Don't be fooled by the appearance of a “easy or fast payday”. I can tell you from experience, no matter what system, sitebuilder, or program you use that just doesn't exist and never will.
It was easier for me to learn a bit of HTML and do my own sitebuilding with kompozer and add and delete things faster with much more flexibility.
But as I said, if your a beginner in marketing, I would recommend this for you.
Still, you could be better off “outsourcing” web building for cheap or learning it for yourself which will give you more flexibility to try things you can't do with BeBiz.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Cash1234 system ...
This Isn't Even A Real Home Business... It's Pretty Much A Big Red Flag
If you want to run a real, legitimate online business, this is NOT the system to waste your 12 bucks on.
Cash1234 prays on the desperate and jobless, and before you know it you will run a credit card bill in the hundreds of dollars in the HOPES you will at least get your $12 ROI back.
Also, it seems that no matter how much you win, there is an “usually” high payout cap you must reach before you take out your winnings. I believe this was designed to get people like me so frustrated that you'd “blow” through your past winnings in hopes of meeting the minimum payout.
No one mentions that gambling online is “outlawed” in the U. S., and cash1234 seems targeted mostly to U. S. Citizens. I know this because I gambled with the lottery successfully making double what I made state before it became illegal.
I'd stay away from this so called “system” if I were you.
P. S. I study marketing and copywriting, and there are tell tale signs the testimonials on the front page are made up and fake... and the proof of earnings screenshot looks altered.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Pro Wealth Solutions ...
Skip This One, Keep Doing Your Research
This is yet another bad MLM program that gives MLM/Network Marketing a bad reputation. But if you know anything about Ben Glinsky, you would know to hopefully stay away from this nightmare.
I've been involved in a few MLM related systems, and Pro Wealth is among the worst I've come across. The payout is laughable for the work you need to do just to keep any members you do manage to sponsor.
At first glance, it seems you will only need a $110 investment to start your MLM business ($70 join fee + $30 monthly recurring), but when you factor in buying leads... your looking at spending a little $500 to recoup your costs.
Your better off saving your cash and joining a MLM system like lead system pro or Johnathan Buddmans (I forget the name).
JosefBenjamin's comment on Freelance Home Writers ...
It's OKAY... not really good... just decent... try at your own risk
--The Good--
Loaded With Tangible Info – There's no doubt this is one of the best writing courses I've tried. Admittedly, most of the information can easily be found on popular IM forums, but if you want to save time on searching for “all inclusive” info, this is the place to be. Just be aware of the monthly $47 charge beyond your 7 day trial.
(and from what I hear, FHW charges before your trial is up. Just a warning)
--The Bad--
Low Bids & High Competition – The jobs you bid on will force you to go much lower than you think. It's not as easy as “find a job, bid on it, be the ONLY bidder, and make $10 per article”.
When you factor in research time, prep, etc... you would be better off getting a 9 to 5 or writing the articles and using them yourself for your own marketing. This is what I have done with far more success than working as a freelance writer... which appears to be the “craze” these days.
--The Ugly--
Income claims are exaggerated. The most successful freelancers are those who have been in the business for several years perfecting their craft. And even the pro's have a hard time keeping regular work.
JosefBenjamin's comment on Maverick Money Makers ...
Steep price tag, but can be worth it if you work hard at it
--The Good--
Member and Owner/Staff support – I found the Secret Club to be far more useful (and worth the $97 fee) than the video content itself. The forum is like a stop point. I took action, and as I came across a wall, I asked specific questions that helped me get around or over that wall. Far more effective than watching hours of video in one sitting.
Learning From A Real Pro – Most people would never think to “watch” how Mack advertises his website to get the incredible results he gets. I've probably learned more about marketing from how he markets MMM than I have from the info in the membership area.
--The Bad--
Outdated Videos – It's not Mack's fault. It's just the nature of the game. Successful marketing online requires you to constantly adapt to the current trends and in some cases, making new ones.
Steep Monthly Price Tag - $97 a month is nothing to sneeze at especially when little SEO tactics (i. e. free marketing) is explained as much as paid advertising.
Bottomline: It's easy to get lost, procrastinate and never do anything. It was tempting for me to watch every single video looking for the magic button... but try to avoid this if you can by knowing what you want out of this before you get into it.
