K466's comment on You Cubez ...
An interesting site, but I don't use it much
You Cubez... I signed up in April 2009 hoping to advertise a referral link to one of my favorite money making sites. You get a free cube which people can click on and see your ad.
Unfortunately, unless you are willing to invest some money into your cube, you won't get many hits. I'm not sure if anyone ever signed up as a result of my cube.
There are other things to do on You Cubez though... including PTC, and games. I found the games entertaining for awhile... in fact, I think I got addicted to one of them for a few days.
As far as the PTC, it not worth your time. Cashout is too high and there are not enough ads.
If you are looking to advertise check this site out, but if you are like me and don't want to invest any money into your ads don't waste your time at You Cubez. I have not logged in for a few months now.
K466's comment on MyLot ...
MyLot not the best
I signed up with MyLot in January, thinking it was another money making opportunity. I regret signing up- it has become a waste of time for me.
Up until a few months ago you could get about one cent per posting; recently, I have only been getting one cent for 5 or 6 posts.
Cash out is $10 through Paypal. MyLot has a good reputation of paying people, however, the problem I see now is that you are paid so little per post it will be real hard to ever reach that $10 cash out. I have only made it to the $7 mark so far.
Additional problems I have with MyLot include the fact you cannot edit or delete your posts. Also MyLot is quite strict and will regularly delete posts that have any complaints about MyLot, as well as many posts about making money online. While I appreciate that to a certain degree, I think they go too far.
I don't really recommend MyLot, but if you have a lot of time and are ready to talk about silly subjects for the most part then this place may be worth a try.
K466's comment on SendEarnings ...
Send Earnings, not the best site for me
I joined Inbox Dollars in February, but did not get around to SendEarnings till April. Both sites are nearly the same. At SendEarnings I mainly earn by clicking their paid emails. I usually receive 2 per day. In addition, I may receive one survey a week, which pays 50 cents.
It is like a PTC site with the ads sent to your email. Each one is worth 2 cents. It has taken almost 6 months now to earn $7.50. I have completed one or two free offers as well. They were easy to do and the money was credited to my account within 2 days.
With a high $30 cash out and a strange $3 fee for sending the check, I am not impressed with SendEarnings. After I reach cashout, I plan to unsubscribe. I think they are an honest company, but the pay is not enough to keep me an active member.
K466's comment on Yuwie ...
I never got hooked on Yuwie
Several months ago someone invited me to Yuwie. I checked out the site and decided to give it a try. You are greeted by a video where this guy tells you how the site works. However, he makes it sound like a site where it is possible to earn thousands of dollars (of course with many referrals) which I feel is a little misleading, as what he described would only happen in a perfect world.
After sign up I found the site a little difficult to understand. It is loaded with advertisements, and the site looked a little messy to me. I went ahead and started a 'blog' there.
After a few days I stopped logging in. I don't think the site was laid out very well, and there were just way too many advertisements there. Another thing- I could never figure out how you get paid. The help section did not answer a lot of my questions. Considering all this, Yuwie is not a site I would recommend.
K466's comment on NoMinCashout ...
No thanks NoMinCashout
I signed up with this PTC site several months ago when I saw there was no minimum cash out. No harm in giving that a try.
I got $0.01 per ad and cashed out for $0.14 very quickly to see if they paid. I did get my payment in a reasonable time, through PayPal.
So, I kept up clicking about 7 ads per day for several weeks. Unfortunately, the second cash out threshold was $3, quite disappointing considering the site's name leads you to believe that there is no minimum cash out.
Anyway, as I approached the $3 level to cash out, they changed the site. Now you had to upgrade your account for $1.99 to continue getting $0.01 per ad, and if you did not you would only get a fourth a cent per ad. This was the smell of a scam, but since I was less than 30 cents from cash out I went ahead and I tried with only $025 per ad. I made it to $3 and cashed out, but I never received my payment, which is likely because I had not paid the $1.99 to upgrade. I don't like a site that treats it's members like this. Don't waste your time at NoMinCashout.
K466's comment on Ciao ...
A great site, but not for US residents
Ciao was the first review site I joined. It took awhile to get familiar with the site but once I did I was able to make good money there. At the former US site, I got paid by PayPal. I managed to earn about $80 at Ciao before it closed in June due to excessive abuse.
Ciao was replaced with a cash back program at Bing. I looked into this and was not impressed, though it might be good for regular online shoppers. I want Ciao US back!
I created a account at the UK site, which is almost identical to the US site. However I was very disappointed to find out that you can only receive payment if you have a UK bank account. Unless you know someone in the UK who can receive the money for you, it is a waste of time.
Aside from that it is a great place to find reviews. It is a good mix of social networking and getting paid to write reviews. I have tried at least half a dozen other paid to review sites and only IMRC seems to be able to offer payments on par with Ciao.
If you live in the UK I strongly recommend this site!
K466's comment on PollDaddy ...
I like Poll Daddy
Anytime I need to put a poll on my blog or other website, poll daddy is my choice. You can create a free account and start making polls right away. With a free account you can also make surveys, but you are limited to 10 questions, and 100 responses per month. This is all pretty good for free, I think.
Setting up the polls and surveys is easy and fun. You have quite a few options to mess with, giving you plenty of room for creativity.
I found out about poll daddy after seeing the polls used by several other sites. If you need to create a free poll or survey, check Poll Daddy out.
K466's comment on YouData ...
Very reliable site!
I have been with You Data since December 2008. At first I had a few ads a week to view, but nowadays I'm fortunate to find one ad every two weeks. It is still worth it. All the ads pay 10 cents or more (usually). This beats any other PTC by far.
They pay through PayPal every Friday. Unfortunately a few cents are taken off the total for a PayPal fee, otherwise it is a prompt payment and I have no complaints.
I have earned nearly $10 with them so far. I plan to keep using this site as long as it is open. I strongly recommend it.
K466's comment on Opinion Outpost ...
Excellent survey site
I have been with Opinion Outpost for about 9 months now and have managed to earn over $40 there. I get about 5-8 surveys a week and usually only qualify for one or two per week.
One thing I really like about the site is the pay. You will usually get a $1 per 10 minutes, which is quite generous. I have been able to complete several surveys that paid $3.50 and took less than half an hour.
They do pay by check, which is fine with me. I have always received my checks within about 2 weeks which is very good as well. Even better, the minimum cash out is just $5. I strongly recommend this site.
K466's comment on Dave Ramsey ...
Great advice this nation desperately needs
I have listened to Dave Ramsey's shows off and on for years, and I recently attended a Town Hall for Hope broadcast. Dave offers excellent advice on getting out of debt and being financially free.
Our economy is a based on debt and consumption instead of savings and production- not a good thing. I appreciate Mr. Ramsey's message that helps thousands of Americans take responsibility once again for their money.
I do disagree with Dave in one area; he seems to think the economy will recover- unfortunately that's not possible with what the government, the federal reserve, and others are doing.
I strongly recommend Dave's resources. Most of us could use some good advice, especially if were in money troubles. The borrower is a servant to the lender. Don't be a slave!
K466's comment on WordLinx ...
Wordlinx is one of the few PTC sites I still do
I joined Wordlinx about 4 months ago. I had heard about it several times and that it was a reliable site, so I decided to give it a try. So far the earnings have been very slow and I have not been able to get any referrals. The minimum cash out level of $10 is too high in my opinion.
Most ads are 30 seconds. I have been able to click up to 10 ads a day if I check often, but usually I average 2 or 3 ads. You will have to check several times a day, ideally once per hour, to catch all the ads.
I do think I will receive payment when I finally reach cashout but I am not sure I will continue using the site after that, especially if I can not get any more referrals.
