Quarterline's comment on Wix ...
Horrible customer service and the product is not for everyone
I began to use Wix over a year ago and quickly found that it wasn't a good product for my business. I had upgraded to the Premium Package and it just didn't work for what I wanted. I created a flash page and could not link it to my current website.
I emailed (because there is NO PHONE NUMBER)and after some back and forth canceled my account. I did not however cancel within the 14 day trial period so I had to pay the $99. I was told that since I had paid for it, my site would have premium status for a year, but would not be renewed. One year later and it was renewed.
I emailed the customer service and was given a form email to cancel the service (which I did just to be safe). I emailed them back twice that day- once to demand my money be returned and once to forward the email that had the cancellation information from the year before. I didn't hear anything. Two days later I received an email stating they had not heard from me and my complaint ticket would expire in 24 hours. I then called my bank to refute the charges. They gave me a phone number (646)862-6005. I called it and was told my account was not canceled properly. Supposedly it has now been canceled properly and my money will be refunded.
If anyone has a billing issue with them I highly recommend calling them. She wasn't too excited to have to take my question and when I told her they needed to put a number on their website she said they were "working on it. We know it is a problem".
