alphagod's comment on Paypal Checks ...
Avoid this program it's just a scam
The only reason I tried this product is because it's sold through ClickBank, this way I knew that whatever happened I'd at least get the money back. The website and sales pitch are really poorly built and seem encrypted, I didn't know what I was really getting into, first I thought it was a right to resell the website or a product.
Anyways after my purchase I received the "VIP Email" of Jean and some instructions on sending the details from my paypal account. I've since then tried repeatedly to contact the administrator and I never got a response. All this for nothing, I knew something was fishy so after two weeks of trying I asked for a refund. In looking for more information about the product I found out the owners have been scamming people for a while now, asking for passwords to accounts and trying to steal, don't know why they didn't answer to my emails, however I recommend anyone stays away from both the owner of the domain, Randy and Jean.
alphagod's comment on Gravity Forms ...
One of the best wordpress plugins for internet marketing
Gravity Forms, as I found out is an invaluable tool for any wordpress blog, I first started using the plugin in August last year in order to get input about certain new features on one of my main blogs. As thing progressed the plugin became a necessity to install and to let it gather data from users. Firsy this is only possible due to the queuing system, one form has a start and end date, this was by far the most useful feature for me, it was easy to set up and efficient.
The fact that gravity forms can send confirmation emails doesn't mean it can be used as a good list building alternative. I've tried and can say there are plenty more better options for this. In order to prevent bots or spam the plugin uses reCaptcha. I'm amazed on how easy it is to use and integrate, while some of the setup processes took a bit more time, none of them were hard to do, it integrates very well in wordpress(this is a major problem on some plugins) and boasts a unique range of features not actually seen in it's competition. It's a great piece of software and truthfully deserves an A.
alphagod's comment on Article Bot ...
Average spinner with all the major problems
I first got interested in Article Bot because of the idea to define your own syntax rules seemed like a dream. I've used the program quite a bit at the beginning when I was trying to make my life easier, spinning a few articles to reuse them on more sites, the spinner does work however the results themselves are not as good as I'd like. Even with the ability to define syntax rules, the articles sometimes look badly translated. I've used some of the articles generated by Article Bot to some moderate success, the ones I have used were hard to distinguish from the originals, however this isn't the case most of the time articles are easily distinguishable as copied material.
Even more problems show up in the program as it seems every time it does spin an article the way I like, it will crash and I have to start all over again, also random crashes from the background happen. I've since come to realize that buying Article Bot was a waste of time and money.
alphagod's comment on 3D Photoshop Actions ...
Pretty but expensive templates and scripts
3-D Photoshop Actions is a great set of scripts for Photoshop to generate e-covers for products. I've purchased it about 7 months ago and used it to turn logos and product concepts into presentable ideas to clients, I've also used it for internet products. The package comes with 50 action scripts, Photoshop's way to automate repetitive tasks, and a bit of extra graphics and cover examples for use. One of the best things about these scripts are their speed, I don't really like the designs, they look generic and way too shiny for my personal tastes, however at the same time they fit in well in presentation or a quick way to materialize ideas to clients.
The product also comes with two training videos that teach the usage and installation of the scripts, they are well made and instructions are clear. The fact that these are Photoshop scripts helped me out a lot, their speed is good and they easily integrate into my already well built graphics work-flow and allow me to use an interface I'm already familiar with. A bit more detail and customization would have been great, however I know how hard that is to add to a Photoshop script, I also wish it was a bit less expensive.
alphagod's comment on Mastering PageRank ...
Must know course for SEO
SEO has always been an important aspect of my internet marketing strategies, it covers a broad range of subjects and page rank is one of the most important. I really loved the Mastering PageRank course, it covered important aspects of the way Google calculates page ranks for websites. Improving a page rank can provide huge boosts in traffic to any website. I really loved the way all aspects that Google uses were presented in the videos, they are straight forward and helpful. The course goes through basic theory on how pagerank works and then presents examples of how each link affects it.
I'm really happy with this purchase, it gave me information I needed to improve my SEO, provided really useful information on how page rank is used by google and how links affect it. Great course I give it an A.
alphagod's comment on Affiliate Theme ...
Outstanding wordpress theme
Affiliate theme is one of the best Wordpress themes out there, I first bought it about three months ago, looking for a easier way to build landing pages. I'm more than happy with the results and options it offers, while I have no problem in custom coding my own it takes time, and well I'm always looking for ways to speed up my work-flow. The theme is quite expensive in terms of Wordpress themes, however it offers way more options than any other theme on the market. It's easy to work with and has a lot of customization under the hood. The fact it allows to work with pre-built layouts and modify the code directly was a high incentive for me.
With all the options it offers(a lot for a Wordpress theme) this is a great product for landing pages and it can be used on other types of websites with ease, for example a full featured content site can be built with it the theme providing easy navigation and customization. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, even if it was a tad expensive at $147 it will never stop helping me out in building landing pages or even small review sites.
alphagod's comment on GTrends Assassin ...
Very bad automated content site
I decided to try this because of the 60 day money back guarantee it offers, as I really don't like automated systems, however I was curious to how this was implemented in the hopes of at least learning something. First of all the design of the website is absolutely horrible, using outdated techniques and I doubt it will attract or keep any visitor to the website too soon. Performance wise this will need at least one shared hosting account completely dedicated, it uses up quite a bit of bandwidth to get content, and it gets a lot of content (almost 1000 articles per day). It will require an investment bigger than the revenue it offers.
I've seen a lot of Adsense auto sites to be honest, and looked at quite a few, I know these sites don't gather much traffic but they are useful from time to time. This version of the same would be way better with some options to tweak and customize it, first off from a SEO point of view it won't rank high in any search engine, duplicate content and bad design will keep visitors from it. There are way better options out there, for example wordpress auto bots, I got my money back as it didn't help me at all.
alphagod's comment on Article Marketing Domination ...
Great article marketing book
Josh Spaulding's book has been really helpful in helping me write efficient and targeted articles to any specific niche. This book covers very important and quite successful areas of article marketing. Simply put the book answered questions I had about writing articles, their impact on my websites, how to use them and how many I needed to reach certain goals. This was mostly impossible to figure out through trial and error, for example the impact duplicate content had on my articles, the most efficient places to submit and get results and what keywords to write for.
The book is written in an excellent way, not wasting time on useless information or rants, the targeted audience is new internet marketers that are looking for ways to use article marketing to make an income, however even the most advanced marketers will find a use in this. I for one was mostly doing the right things, just small details stopped me from being and feeling efficient, after I read the book I saw an increase in traffic and income. For a price of $37 this is a steal, not only providing concise information but also because of the two bonus books you get which are just as good as the main course, people can even try and read a free chapter before they buy.
alphagod's comment on Twitter Vending Machine ...
Great guide to using Twitter for internet marketing
I've bought Twitter Vending Machine recently to try to learn more about marketing Twitter. While it's not a bible, it did offer some useful information and showed some information that helped manage multiple twitter accounts. The guide is written in a very concise and straightforward manner, instructions are simple, concise and easy to understand, Kevin Riley tries to cater to all crowds of marketers from experienced to newbie marketers starting from the very beginning.
I've found the customization and finding information parts particularly interesting and useful. Using the guide I was able to tweak my twitter account's look and find more useful and interesting information to give out to my followers, the guide doesn't just cover Google search or anything like that it really covers efficient ways to find pages that may be of interest to anyone following an account.
alphagod's comment on Tweetsbot ...
Great twitter bot
I've purchased Tweetsbot recently and have been using it for about one month now, I can say I'm quite happy with the options it offers. Besides trying to get targeted followers through keywords, location, bio or zip code it can also send thanks for following messages, automatic replies, automatic tweets and even multiple accounts.
Using this program I was able to get 4 completely new accounts to have thousands of followers in a relatively short amount of time, increase traffic to my websites, products or affiliate links or CPA offers. The interface is clean and compact with every option in easy reach and easy to use. It's export features were incredible for me, I devote one day to preparing work for weeks and then just import them back and get things started. My only real complaint is that it uses bit. ly as a url shortener, I wish it would have more options than just that but then again I can just shorten everything myself. Great program deserves an A.
alphagod's comment on Twittollwer ...
Expensive for the options it offers
When I first signed up for Twittollwer I was expecting more options, it comes with a hefty price tag and all it does is automatically follow people with "hopes" of them following you back. It only works on one twitter account and sometimes your account can get suspended and you'll have to resolve that with Twitter staff.
There are other Twitter acclimatization software out there that have the exact same options as twittollwer and way more, allowing for much more complex and efficient marketing strategies, I wish twittollwer had more options, something like auto posts or removing some of the people that don't follow back or just multiple account support, it just doesn't. And for the price tag it has I ended up paying more to get another better software. I give it a D because it does end up at least getting people to follow your twitter account.
alphagod's comment on Lunar Pages ...
A typical shared hosting
I've used Lunar Pages for a while now, their shared hosting offerings isn't the best in the business but it is acceptable and cheap. The technologies they offer are the standard PHP, MySQL, php is fairly limited limiting their usage to a small amount of memory to each hosting account.
I haven't ever used another hosting plan besides the basic plan, this has just enough power and resources to run a low to mid range dynamic site. Using optimizations for caching dynamic code and Lunar Pages accounts can withstand serious traffic, the only real problem is CPU usage, high traffic community sites are the only problem I've ran into using Lunar Pages. My only complaint to the service is the $2 price on shell access, most other hosts offer free shell access. I can gladly say Lunar Pages, despite some poor support in the past, has turned over and is now a good hosting company I can recommend to anyone.
alphagod's comment on Web Easy Professional ...
Barebones for building a website
I've had the chance to use Web Easy Professional about one year ago along with a client that insisted he use it in order to maintain his own website, wishing for a full WISWYG editor and custom template. Basically it's not a really good website builder software, it being a more modern version of the now defunct Frontpage. I've found the interface to be intuitive and easy to learn, a lot of things can be done through quick wizards which helped out my client to further customize his website, it is quite a reasonable way to maintain a small mostly static web site.
Their template system on the other hand I didn't like, it was highly confusing to work with and do a valid design for my clients needs. Basically I would normally use something more full fledged for an IDE, Web Easy is a good piece of software for people not used to web development but that's where it stops. I give it a C.
alphagod's comment on PayPalExtreme Mailer ...
Poor email list, not holding up to the sales page
I've found out the hard way the only good thing about PayPal Extreme Mailer is that it's just an email list probably built with a cheap harvester. The website and sales page as well as the product name promotes emails that have PayPal accounts to them, this is also not true.
The purchase was one big waste of time and money in my opinion, while the emails do seem to reach some people I've found the conversion rates are really poor, anti-spam engines are obviously doing their job to prevent unsolicited emails, building a highly targeted opt-in list was a way more profitable venture for my needs. I would recommend people stay away from this service, it is really not worth the 24 dollars and the time spent in trying to get them back.
alphagod's comment on VisitorSpy ...
Really good product
I've got Visitor Spy as a trial at first, to test out it's features and see if it delivered on it's promises. To be honest, some of the information the script gives you is insanely useful.
The first feature I really liked was the watch visitors tab, it gave me insight to what people were doing once they got to my website, allowed better ad placement and an overall restructuring of the content to allow them to find all information with ease. Besides this Visitor Spy allows people to cloak affiliate links, I was already using a custom script for this so I've ended up not using it. Then the best part of the script is the Track Sales/Actions tab, this allowed me to track any CPA campaign I was running and see what converted well, what's wanted by people on my website and improve other campaigns to increase conversion rates.
This is a great product, offering information that I believe any marketer wants to know and it helped me optimize my website to levels I didn't even imagine so it deserves one great A.
alphagod's comment on My Easy Task ...
Great mini job site
I've used My Easy Task as a way to earn some extra income. It's not much, however it doesn't take too much time either. I mostly work on big freelancing sites and jobs, but this seemed like something I'd have to do on spare boring time. I've received $1 for the signup bonus and the cashout is done at $10, not too high not too low, it took around 2 weeks of on and off work to get the money for a cashout, minimum project payment was raised from 8 to 10 cents so these days cashouts are a bit faster.
My main complaint and defect I see on the site is a lot of PTC offers, sign up, click some links send me your username, these aren't really profitable for the job publisher and hurt the website in the end. All in all it's a great mini-job site and deserves a B.
alphagod's comment on Youtube Traffic System ...
Another great Youtube traffic course
This was the last course I've read on YouTube traffic and internet marketing. While some of the information from within I've already read or found out about, it promotes some original techniques, tips and tricks that helped out a lot promote for my business and gain more traffic, leads and sales to any offer.
The videos are really easy to follow presenting a way to gain free traffic, they show a complete process to getting and creating videos and using them to get visitors to my website for free. The payoff is really great, using the tips presented in here my traffic and conversion rates more than doubled and each video continues to provide traffic and even customers without having to constantly monitor and promote it. I can say I am more than happy for getting and using this system, the best part is that it was free all they needed was an email.
alphagod's comment on YouTube Secret Weapon ...
Great video tutorial on YouTube marketing
I've learned a lot from YouTube Secret Weapon, I've used it in conjunction with two other courses to find out more information and tips on YouTube marketing, while some parts of the courses overlapped each had it's own insight and ideas.
Julie Perry is an excellent instructor, she explains everything in a very detailed and concise manner that is easy to follow along and remember. The tips and strategies found in the videos have basically helped me found a solid place on YouTube for my business and increased both conversion rates and traffic to my website. The course focuses on a lot of neat tricks and ideas to maximize views, brand videos, gaining subscribers and one of the most helpful tricks picking the right time and day of the week to gain the most exposure. This is a great course and it deserves an A.
alphagod's comment on YouTube Comments Poster ...
Great software, high risks
I've used YouTube Comments Poster a while back to get more traffic to my site through YouTube. However I can't say I was really happy with the results, the software itself is really good however tough, doing comments became a chore to do by hand and hand only. One of the main reasons for this is that hand-made comments are always better made, more logical and they don't really take a lot of time.
The software is really good in most aspects, it does a decent job at finding the right videos to post comments at and posts comments on found posts. This didn't have the expected results for me, it did work well for a while, however after some comments became marked as spam my YouTube account got suspended. It wasn't my main account at least. The software is really expensive for the risks it gathers, though it is done well and does it's job, certain grammatical mistakes and some comments not being on topic gets them marked as spam and YouTube acts. I would gladly recommend this software, however people should be really careful not to use it on important accounts.
alphagod's comment on YouTube Revolution ...
Really helped me out
Video marketing was not really something I've planned for when I started out Internet Marketing, I've first bought this book because of the price and it was my starting point in marketing youtube videos for traffic and marketing in general. I've gotten great payoffs in the meantime and I'm still using the information learned here and through other methods in order to achieve my goal.
Basically the book allowed me to use the massive amount of traffic Youtube and other social video sites to generate free traffic to my products or website and even sales. Conversion rates and traffic has increased significantly over the period of one month, people have subscribed to my channel and I ended up looking for more ways and tips to market the massive user base Youtube has. Great product and definitely worth an A.
alphagod's comment on RevTwt ...
Pretty good automatic twitter advertising
I've tried using the program as both an advertiser and a publisher, in a way to earn money from my big twitter accounts and market offers from advertising networks I'm a part of.
As a publisher things go pretty slowly, they recently "phased out" the auto post option and gave two new options to publishers, either posting a feed to your twitter account or an ad you receive by email. This is bad on one side and good on another, I actually have to do something now, however I can post more than one ad per day on my accounts and post them on other social bookmarking sites. The earnings are not so bad, I've manage to earn $20 a month with them due to my followers clicking the ads and being generally interested in what I have to say.
Now as an advertiser marketing on twitter has a decent payout rate, people are generally quite willing to sign up for CPA offers if they are from a trustworthy account. RevTwt has generally good advertising tracking options and the conversion rate is definitely worth it. I've marketed around 5 CPA offers so far through twitter and RevTwt and I can say I'm very happy about the results.
alphagod's comment on Freelancer ...
Great place to find jobs
I've used GetAFreelancer for three years now, it's one of the best internet marketplaces for jobs. The system works well and most providers and jobhunters are mostly reliable. I've first started using it as a freelancer only later I have used the provider part of the system. Getting the first job and review was the hardest part for me, as the system makes people compete against each other and competing against already established freelancers was and still is, to say the least, hard.
GAF has two main types of accounts, gold and standard, gold requires an $12 monthly fee however it has the advantage of lower rates for getting hired on a project(this used to be 0% rates it has changed as of late to 3%) while the standard has a 10% fee when getting hired by a provider. The payment system is mostly foolproof, however scam project end up on the site from time to time and I have gotten cheated once at the beginning for $25, this can be arranged with a dispute and the fees were returned to me. Each job has it's own PM system, giving full confidentiality to anything being discussed on the job. GAF has a lot of payment methods and you can even order your own Mastercard debit card, which costs $30 however it's the fastest payout of all the other options.
My most loved feature is the escrow system which I've learned to use extensively after my first problem on the site. I highly recommend using this program to anyone looking for jobs on the internet, almost any time of job can be obtained from GAF.
alphagod's comment on Referral-Secrets ...
Worthless book
Ie bought this book for $7 and it was a useless. PTC site referrals can be a good source of revenue, so I thought and as I found out it really can be a great income source.
This book claims it can teach people to get a ton of referrals to PTC sites, it claims it can do it on autopilot and it can turn your referrals active. It's worthless, it's just a conglomeration of already known facts, easy to find on the internet and not even that much useful. The book tries to promote the build a payment proof and get referrals way, however that's already well known by everyone around and you can find such information easily or figure out on your own. I've asked paypal for a refund and received it, don't bother with this book.
alphagod's comment on Scrapebox ...
Great software for SEO options
I've used Scrapebox extensively to find targeted sites I can use to promote my own websites and provide quality backlinks in order to increase traffic to my niche sites.
The software window consist of two rows, one for scraping and the other for auto comments and proxies. The scraping part was my point of interest. The software's ability to define custom footprints is really really useful, it already comes with three predefined ones for three main software blogs(Wordpress, Movable Type and BlogEngine), this helps to find targeted software or website types besides the all encompassing keywords or target specific blog software as was my case.
The software also has the ability to remove duplicate sites, trim url's to root and check their pageranks. These options were my main attraction to it, while I already used custom solutions to get these three in my work flow having them easily accessible is to say the least great.
I've found no uses for the proxy or auto comment options because I prefer to do these by hand. It's a great piece of software however the price tag is quite high, it can however be convenient and quite helpful and in the end even pay for itself if used right.
alphagod's comment on Artisteer ...
Great piece of software for quick designs
Artisteer has made my life as a web designer easy, the software theme generation button is one of the best ways to get some inspiration or a quick start up for a theme. My clients always give me a few pointers on what they would like their site to look like, however the hard part is always left on me and figuring a unique and appealing design for each can be hard, this is where Artisteer came in. While it is not the best nor the most advanced XHTML/CSS editor around, there are plenty out there that are better suited for some jobs, it is the fastest way to sketch up a prototype theme for a website.
Generally I only use it's prototyping functions and only rarely have I needed to edit something inside the program itself, however even then it did behave well and offered a lot of options to edit different parts of a website down to the smallest details. For the features it offers, the price tag of $127 is not really much, the software being able to make snap design decisions and provide inspiration for any designer in a pinch.
alphagod's comment on 4-Day Money Making Blueprint ...
Great blueprint
I'd definitely recommend this blueprint as a must have/know for everybody, the video walks through the most important aspects of internet marketing, it is quite possibly the best investment I've had since I started marketing.
The course videos are well made and exceptionally well explained to cater to both beginners and professionals as well, I've found the best information in the guide to be in the article creation and marketing section and the websites, most importantly the link love chapter for articles and Squidoo lenses. The first part about bum marketing also covered some important aspects for me, but I already knew most of the information offered there, it still is a great source of information for anyone looking to get into internet marketing.
alphagod's comment on WFReview ...
The best way to build review sites
I've used WFReview to promote affiliate links and sites. The plugin is highly configurable and adaptable for the needs of any review site. Importing post is really easy by using CSV, the options in using this file type are very abundant, either all at once or with CRON jobs to remove and add fields inside the file at specified intervals. The files can also hold important options such as tags and categories. Installation of the plugin was really easy, as any other Wordpress plugin, it adds 8 new option screens to the admin interface.
Using it was also really easy and intuitive. I already had CSV files with most things I needed and just had to add a few extra options to finish them up and import them through the plugin. It generally takes three steps to completely import a file in the plugin and you create custom post templates in the second step providing a lot of extra flexibility to the posts the plugin creates.
The ratings option of the plugins is the most useful feature. I've generated custom ratings for each category of products my review sites covered, and it automatically generated ratings to all of the posts to the site also I could customize the way ratings look to whatever I wanted.
I highly recommend this plugin to any affiliate, it does an outstanding job and provides a great way to promote products.
alphagod's comment on Web Traffic Genius ...
Great RSS software
I've used Web Traffic Genius for all of my Wordpress blogs. The plugin version is just a great piece of software. Installing it was really easy and setting things up for all necessary aggregator sites took approximately one hour of creating user names. It has increased the traffic to websites I've used, it basically automatically creates and submits a rss feed for every article on the blog (providing an option for older posts).
The software uses PR 5 or higher RSS aggregation sites and by that it creates high quality backlinks to your blogs, increasing SEO and providing visitors that use the very same sites to gather information. It took a huge load off my arms by giving me an automated option to properly use RSS feed agreggators to all their potential and allowed me to concentrate on my blogs rather than their promotion. There is also a stand-alone version that can promote websites that do not use RSS feeds, even simple HTML, however I've never used it. All in all I've found it as a really good way to promote and build an online presence, completely free.
alphagod's comment on Motive Interactive ...
One of my favorite CPA networks
I've used the Motive affiliate network for a while, as any affiliate I'm always looking for something to promote and receive money on. After singing up a few months ago, I started using the site. The interface of their control panel is incredibly usable, everything is within easy reach and presented in an original way. The offers available on the site were perfect for my needs, while not offering thousands of them, it's easy to find something for any niche that most importantly pays well.
Another great feature I was able to use and was extremely happy with was their customized reports. They basically allowed me to use my own query and generate the report I need with only the necessary options, avoiding useful clutter and stats in them. My experience with Motive was really great and I can say this is one of the best CPA networks and highly recommend to any affiliate.
alphagod's comment on CPX Interactive ...
Great network for qualifiying websites
I've used CPX Interactive on a few websites before, one of their best offerings for me was the CPXinvid in-video ad service. I used their website for a custom video sharing website, and the results were grand to say the least. Their website is simple and straightforward, presenting all information needed in an easy to access manner. At first I had a bit of trouble understanding each campaign and it's benefits for publishers, however after getting accepted everything worked out just fine.
The tracking software they use was really great for my needs, everything is real time and everything is nice and easy to absorb. I've also used their "default" fallback or vCPM floors to my own ad server for ads that payed lower than some of my personal offerings. All in all CPX Interactive is one great ad serving network, I highly recommend to anyone having a good website.
alphagod's comment on Sell Your Site For More ...
Really good course
I've used this great course to learn detailed strategies about website flipping for profits about one month ago. I decided to get the gold package and also have access to the over-the-shoulder videos. It was a really good buy for me, the tricks, tips and strategies presented in the book really help. I was able to flip a website for about 150% of my initial asking price. CJ Parker is a great tutor and this is seen really well through the book, his tips are concise, clear and easy to learn.
For me the most interesting part of the course were the two strategy guides and the videos in the gold package. These two alone would be a worthwhile purchase in my case and are one personal recommendation for people trying to get into or get more out of website flipping.
alphagod's comment on Commission Monster ...
Great affiliate network for australia
I've used Commission Monster for about 5 months now, it didn't take a whole day to get approved and I've found their support is really good. The fact that the network focuses on lead generation has made it really attractive and worthwhile for me, but their other offers are really good too. It typically takes up to one whole day for a lead to get approved by the network, this "slowness" doesn't bother me at all, each lead is mine after it gets approved.
Personally payouts were fast enough, some other networks are faster so I had to adjust the way I re-invest money earned through CM, but it's not nearly as inconvenient as people believe. Being based in Australia it opened new prospects and a whole new crowd for me and Commission Monster was a definite boost in my income on leads.
alphagod's comment on Web 2 Mayhem ...
Easy to understand and intuitive system
I've found Web 2 Mayhem a good to know program for most web developers. I've successfully used the information and software provided in this package in a number of client's projects and was highly successful with them. It proved beneficial for both me and my clients since I was able to cut down on the marketing costs of my client by using the free traffic generation techniques while earning much more for my work on their websites and marketing.
I've used some of the tools in the package (the article distributor being the most important one in my opinion) and they present themselves ash highly intuitive and professional programs. My one major complaint about the program is the high monthly fee, the information and tools are valuable, but not nearly enough to reason such a high monthly price.
alphagod's comment on Offline Marketing Pro ...
Lots of work involved but good results
I've been looking for a way to earn money somewhere else besides the internet and this course was my saving grace. The idea of pitching my services to real-life companies has been spinning around in my head for a while now, although nothing useful came out of me, Steve Mount gave me the solution. It's not easy, it requires actual work and some investment on skipping steps because I needed to outsource some of the work, but the payout was more than worth it.
I am quite happy with what I learned from the course, it really helped me increase my experience and actually started a local business with it. The course focuses on sending letters to businesses, this can be applied really easy in any close by city, and then offering services that increase their sales through the internet. And the greatest benefit I found is that it's not a saturated market. My major complaint is the sales pitch on the page, sadly in my case I had to go through phone calls and face to face meetings before I managed to get a few customers.
alphagod's comment on Wordpress Affiliate ...
Excelent plugin to monetize blogs
I love this plugin, ever since I found out about it it has been a lifesaver for me. I've found installing and using it to be extremely easy and foolproof. It did require some custom options for more specialized themes, however this is a problem that affects most Wordpress plugins not really specific to Wordpress Affiliate. All the customization of the plugin is done exclusively through it's main control panel and only needed extra changes upon changing the theme.
Feature wise I had some complaints, advertising through text links isn't quite good in my opinion and the plugin lacks any image features. I've circumvented this problem using another ad plugin in conjunction with Wordpress Affiliate I used before, however my work time on building ads was basically cut down a lot. Highly recommended and definitely deserves an A.
alphagod's comment on Get Ref ...
Not useful
Again another good idea that only works on paper, in practice this turns out to be rubbish. Getting referrals through Get Ref is real, however you'll be getting people that won't be as active as you wish, meaning they will join under you for a program and they will do some activity but only barely enough to get the credits you offer.
Referrals made on this site will stop being active and try to get their own referrals, meaning I'm left with a useless and passive referral that generated almost nothing that became my competitor on the same website I'm promoting. This isn't quite the deal I'd happily make, I'd rather find people that are truly interested in earning money through these sites and not competition to my referral business.
alphagod's comment on 1800Banners ...
Only good for boosting Alexa rank
1800Banners is a traffic exchange network, their offer sounds reasonably good on paper however out in practice it's mostly worthless. It does help in increasing Alexa traffic rank however that is no problem and you can get the same results by using a bot and proxies. The traffic received from them is just plain junk, no matter what they say on their website.
Using the program is fairly easy, however I ran out of credits quickly and the benefits of the increased traffic were non-existent, this goes against what they say on their website, you are supposed to get visitors that are interested in your site meaning that a small percentage of them could be interested in buying something and an ever smaller percentage makes a purchase. I got none of that here and stopped using the service.
alphagod's comment on 1% M.O.L.B. Wealth Formula ...
Good way to start and to brush up on essential trade skills
I've found 1% M. O. L. B. Wealth Formula by Alex Edvane a great product. The information in the e-Book is presented in a concise and clear manner making it easy to understand and sink through. The accompanying videos are also made in the same manner. I didn't find the product to be a miracle money making source, however it did get a lot of gears turning for me.
The greatest aspect of the guide is definitely the lists guide, it will show newbies something they are in desperate need of. I believe this is a recommended read for anybody thinking to start or already in the Internet Marketing business, it will show you tried and tested techniques to building a fortune over time.
alphagod's comment on LinkBucks ...
Slow way to build a fortune
I've used URL shortening systems a lot these days, they provide easy ways to get income. The major downside is the low payrate they offer, however it is a guaranteed pay system. Linkbucks is at the top of this business, it's offer in services is quite good, giving users the ability to shorten URL and earn cash for them. There are three ways to shorten URLs first off you can convert a single link, then there are two ways to convert a HTML page, either through direct conversion or a script that does it automatically.
The major downside to Linkbucks is the lack of a API, having access to something like this will increase it's usability a lot. Also at the moment, converting multiple links is a pain because they have to be in HTML format, however one of the major advantages is that you can group your links, meaning a much better organization than what most other URL shortening services offer.
This service used in conjunction with other pay per view/download or high traffic sites can be a gold mine. It just takes time and patience to get there.
alphagod's comment on 3 Hour Ad ...
Definite buy for any internet marketer
This is one of the best courses I found on copy writing, it should practically be the base of any internet marketer's skills. While copy writing itself is a daunting task to learn, Jason Fladlien is a really good teacher in it, showing essential shortcuts and skills that are really easy to absorb and accomplish once you get the hang of it.
Having this skill under your belt is a definite boost in sales if used right, now it won't auto-magically do the work for you, but it is a definite boost to earning. I, myself, found the system quite effective, though not as it was advertised but through my own means of applying the skills I learned through the video guide. Jumping forward a bit, for the $17 price tag it has, it turned out to be one of the best purchases I had in the long run.
alphagod's comment on 1&1 Web Hosting ...
Acceptable webhosting at a decent price
I've used 1&1 Web Hosting for a few clients in the past. They provide shared hosting at a reasonable price, I was always able to find a perfect plan for the customer's needs. While the limitations on the number of databases and ftp accounts can get in the way in some special cases like large websites or different needs of a customer to access and update things on the server, most people or websites don't need anything more than this.
Down to the features of the hosting, it uses Plesk as a control panel, this isn't a huge downside to cPanel, it's not the thing everybody is used to but it's definitely usable and comfortable to work with. On the other features of the host, besides the basic package where you only have access to PHP4/5 on the higher packages you also get Perl and Python as scripting languages, these work out well except for the crons you sometimes need, these are only featured in the Business or Professional accounts. It can be a reasonably daunting task to host and manage certain website features without these, so I always recommend getting at least the Business account. The lack of Ruby on Rails is disappointing but few people actually need it.
I would say 1&1 Web Hosting is worth it in all cases, however there are some better services with more features than this out in the internet.
alphagod's comment on $500 in 15 Live ...
Just barely scraping the surface
I found this course somewhat helpful, it does indeed hold key points to making money online, how to create, market and bring traffic to your pages. It isn't a guaranteed product, I can tell you that but it does hold key information. The downside is that I had to look and figure out the rest myself.
The course is priced at $40, now this is not much by today standards but for all the info you get out of it I can definitely say it is not worth it. The information can be learned for free and with practice on the internet and it will have a much higher payout and way better knowledge on what you're doing than what you get from the course itself. All in all I rate this a definite DON'T BUY.
alphagod's comment on Facebook Ads Manager ...
Hefty price, decent outcome
Initially I thought this was a scam, the heavy price tag it wears is enough to scare away a lot of people. Digging around on the internet revealed positive feedback from other customers that used it before. Using the tool isn't quite comfortable at first, though it becomes second nature once you get used to it. It lacks some needed features that would counterbalance the $200 price tag, however as I found out it's really the only alternative there is, at least the only alternative worth it.
My experience with Facebook Ads Manager was good and I am inclined to say it is a good product. It does a decent job at tracking, which ads to use and which get you the most income, even though it comes out with a heavy price tag it works, and this is the most important part of any tool.
alphagod's comment on 15 Minute Google Domination Course ...
Old tricks that are dangerous now
I found this course about 5 months ago, decided to give it a try to help my SEO quest. Ended up with something that is completely worthless for me, most of the info can be gathered completely for free on the internet, the one big difference is that the internet tells you that these methods are really bad practice these days and you get banned from Google if you use them.
My one and only saving grace was looking around the internet on how to use these methods before actually using them. There are plenty of other guides on how to increase your SEO without running such high risks(close and probably equal to black marketing stuff).
My advice to anyone reading this is to just stay away and do your SEO without anything that infringes upon the TOS of Google, it's just not worth it and can put months and months of effort to waste.
alphagod's comment on 1 Million Free Ads ...
Only good on paper, worthless in practice
This service is only good on paper, the real outcome is I ended up with one million ads for junk traffic. While this isn't a scam, it is quite close to that, even earning one cent for a hundred users would gain some profits but there is nothing of that to be found here. All traffic coming from them is junk traffic that doesn't generate anything, but consumes bandwidth.
Advertising here was equal to throwing money out the window for me, any other type of advertising is much more profitable than this. I did end up with users and my Alexa rank did go up a bit, but that's not what I was after.
alphagod's comment on Yuwie PayDay ...
Not worth it
Yuwie PayDay doesn't live up to it's promise. Yuwie marketing isn't going anywhere and there are plenty of other opportunities that can actually make money. The problem doesn't lie in the methods themselves, but in the really, really slow way Yuwie builds money. Wasting weeks on getting a $5 checkout didn't feel like a pay day for me.
The book itself presents real methods to generate cash, they just do really, really poorly. Also a major disadvantage is that the methods are available for free, forget $1 two months trial, everything in this book can also be found directly on the Yuwie site. It feels like a total rip off, pay to get info on how to gain money on a social network where you find the very same information.
alphagod's comment on $6 by Six Million ...
Not worth the trouble
This is one of the get rich quick and forever schemes and it's totally worthless. Basically when I bought it I got the "killer" minisite mentioned on the site, marketing the new bought toy ended up a real problem. To be honest the only users that will send you $6 are the ones that want to throw it away on something that looks like a scam and has very little chance of getting off the ground.
While the program did make money for me, it ended up a total bust compared to the time invested in marketing this. It is actually way easier to build your own "Scam" website like this and get a higher profit, the required knowledge is very basic and it would be way easier to market than something that was overused for so many years.
I highly advise people not to bother with this product, it's just a waste of money and most importantly marketing and advertising time.
alphagod's comment on Link Market ...
A great place to get backlinks
Link Market is one of the best places I use to get backlinks to my sites. The website delivers on it's promises and helps create valuable backlinks and SEO through them on my websites. I've found navigation, searching and adding links to the link exchange program really simple and straightforward. All the sites are top-notch quality and provided me with a lot of high quality link exchange partners.
The site offers three different services, either a free or paid link building service or a LDMS(Link Directory Management Service) subscription. I've found the free service to be limiting because it lacked some important features, pro version costs only $24.85 and is a definite buy. The extra features offered are highly useful as you are able to access the newest Link Market member pages and allows people to see detailed info about incoming link exchanges and set link exchange permissions(highly useful).
The LDMS can be quite useful for anybody wanting to build a link directory, LM staff maintains it for you at a reasonably fair price.
alphagod's comment on Affiliate Overdrive ...
Only good for beginners
This ebook is only helpful for people who have no idea on how to use clickbank, the blueprint presented in the book is mostly well known around the internet marketing community. So I think the $47 price tag is way too high.
Now I'm not saying it doesn't work, it's quite a proven method of making money through affiliates, you will definitely end up with cash around, so it does deliver on at least one part of the promise. What it won't get people is lots of money. I've been using these methods from before reading the book and it's a nice income system but no get rich quick scheme.
One advantage is that you have a 60 day money back guarantee, I've used mine as paying $47 for this wasn't well spent. I already knew what the e-book offered so I had nothing to gain. Of course it might be a good read for beginners if they are willing to pay $47.
alphagod's comment on AffiliateScout ...
Pretty good affiliate program
AffiliateScout has mostly been a positive experience for me, while it doesn't come off as particularly remarkable, it does offer a wide range of products ranging in a lot of niches. I've personally had reasonable success using the Entertainment(most notably Games/PC Games) and Web Services(marketing hosting mostly) affiliates.
AffiliateScout allows it's users to review different affiliate programs so you can place your own experience on using a specific program. The database for reviews isn't large as of yet, however it is helpful in some cases as other users write their personal experience and success with the specific program.
My positive experience is due to me finding affiliate programs that proved helpful in promoting special niches, however not every niche is covered and other affiliate programs may prove much more useful and profitable for other niches.
alphagod's comment on Supreme Wealth Alliance ...
Expensive but comprehensive
As an internet marketer getting information about any new way to promote or create content for my marketing needs, Supreme Wealth Library gave me a way to have everything in one place, all the e-books, tutorial, templates and scripts in one place.
I initially signed up for them about 5 days ago and am still in the trial period, but definitely plan to upgrade as $30 per month for the sheer wealth of info available from one central place is worth it for me. Their pay plans are good from what I've seen and people are generally not allowed to sign up without a referral or a sponsor. The pay plans are different ways of getting paid for referring people to join Supreme Wealth Alliance, each has it's own advantages and disadvantages. I've found Plan #5 the most attractive and plan to use it further on in a marketing campaign for Supreme Wealth Alliance.
While paying $27 a month for this product is a bit expensive, the wealth of information and speed of updates, as well as some fun and creative ways to earn money, have made it all worth it for me.
alphagod's comment on Free Traffic Fast ...
Definitely worth the $7 price tag
This book is quite good, it shows ways to increase website traffic for free. Some of them work better than others, however for it's price tag and compared to other traffic books this definitely hits the mark. Beginners will always get the most out of this ebook though, and while it doesn't go into too much detail on it's techniques, they definitely pay off and can help to strengthen an already solid foundation in internet marketing as it did in my case.
I've tried and used some of the methods described here. And while you can get some better payed alternatives(posting to social sites for example), I've found other chapters of the book quite useful like the google and affiliate related chapters.
alphagod's comment on $365K Blog Traffic Formula ...
Doesn't hold up to it's promise
This product isn't really helpful to anyone else but a beginner. While the information in the guide isn't totally worthless, most of the answers from the top bloggers are basically the same and most of the information can be gathered from the internet for free.
Matt Garret's tips on getting more internet traffic come off as highly helpful for me and Yaro Starak is another pro-blogger that is helpful in this guide on the same subject.
All in all this guide is only worth the $37 out of your pocket if you are a beginner, at that point in time this can really teach you some of the best lessons on blogging, traffic and SEO; however for me it was a no deal and at least they gave me my money back as I found 90% of the book repeating stuff I already knew.
