askformore's comment on Site Flip School ...
I had a profit of $1,500 in 5 weeks
I have been in the domain market for a couple of years now; - buying, selling, and making new registrations of domain names. But it was not before I got the e-book 'Site Flip School' that it began to work really good for me.
Before I read this e-book and joined as a member at the Site Flip School I was doing the 'site flipping' very wrong; what I used to do was more based upon intuition and I registered and bought domain names that I believed were 'cool'; another mistake was that I believed that many of the names were so 'cool' that I could sell them fast with a good profit (without developing them) - and of course I was wrong!
The e-book and the membership taught me how to develop the domains, and 5 weeks later I was able to sell 4 websites, and I had almost a $1,500 profit on them.
I recommend this to all who want to know how to 'flip' in a systematic way.
askformore's comment on Tweetsbot ...
I saved a lot of time because of this
I have never been good at getting followers at twitter.
And even though I have several accounts, then I had only a very low total numbers of followers before I installed the program 'Tweetsbot'.
The program was very easy to install, and after installation I could almost leave it on it's own.
After one month I had more than 400 followers, but the most impressive thing was that those followers were extremely targeted by means of the keywords I had entered in the program. I had also a much higher response rate on my (automatic timed) tweets that I sent to my followers.
There is 'no way' I could have obtained the same results in a manual 'tweeting'. Tweetsbot saved me a lot of time.
I recommend this to all who want many followers, and who want 'tweet communication' to be almost automatic.
askformore's comment on Auto Links Pro ...
I was not disappointed
I bought the program 'Auto Links Pro' because I was tired of making links to my websites the manual way.
I must admit that I wouldn't have bought if it hadn't come with a money back guarantee. I am always skeptical about buying software, because it is quite often hard to install and/or to make it run.
The user friendly program was easy to install, and I didn't experience any problems.
In less than one month I had established many links to several of my websites, and it was good links instead of just 'junk' that I have previous experienced when using other 'link exchange programs'.
My traffic increased, and my sales too (I have earned the $90 price back already through extra sales). I am satisfied and recommend this.
askformore's comment on Traffic Holiday ...
Overwhelming bundle of information
I don't think I ever got so much information for less than 40 dollars. It was actually overwhelming, and it took me a long time to go through all the tutorial material. And even longer to comprehend it all because a lot of the black hat methods were completely new ideas for me.
I have not yet finished to study all the material, but after my first running through it all, then I have already made several changes in how I choose keywords in my Internet Marketing; and I saw dramatic changes in traffic to my blogs already after 14 days.
I must admit that I am not brave enough to use all the black hat methods, but even though I don't intend to use that, I am glad that I bought this package because it tells me what what some of my competitors are up to.
I recommend all to buy this as long it is still available for this low price.
askformore's comment on Auto Blog Blueprint ...
Many new good Web 2.0 ideas
I have several blogs, and I have had some of them for almost two years now. So I had (sort of) convinced myself that I knew almost all worthwhile knowing about blogging. But I was in for a surprise when I tried out the system in 'Auto Blog Blueprint'.
I decided to try it out because it came with a (ClickBank) money back guarantee, but I became a satisfied customer. (Even though I don't expect to make $3,000 per month for my $27 investment :D But I find it OK that Mike is excited over his own system).
I used Auto Blog Blueprint to set up a new blog I already had decided to make, but I followed his very illustrative videos.
My new blog was performing great very fast because of some of his tips (I knew some of them already) BUT most of all it became alive in an effective, almost automatic way, because of some free plugins he recommended.
I recommend Auto Blog Blueprint to all bloggers (new and/or experienced) you can all get some good tips here.
askformore's comment on Easy PLR ...
Easy PLR is worth the money
I have several websites, some are blogs others are more traditional. But to all of them I am constantly in need for fresh content.
I heard about the articles from 'Easy PLR' in a forum. At first I was skeptical, because I already got many PLR articles for free, so I asked myself:
Why would I want to pay for one or more articles if I didn't anyway get the article as a complete unique (single copy) rights?
Well, I decided to give it a try so therefore I bought several articles for a total price of about 25$.
They turned out to be much better than the free PLR articles I used to get through a free membership plan I belong to. Not only was the content better, but it was written in a much more professional way, better grammar and SEO friendly.
I used some of the articles on my blogs, but I also send excerpts in e-mails to my mailing list; and I modified a few of the articles and added links to my various affiliate business.
All came out with very good results, one of my blogs even increased from a PR0 to a PR2.
I recommend all who use free PLR articles to try this.
askformore's comment on Bux.io ...
Waste of time but not a scam
I joined Bux. io in order to get a little cash, but even more to check out whether it was worthwhile to recommend this to some of my followers who like to participate in 'pay per click' membership programs.
Well, there are many 'bad websites' who offer money for pay per click etc. and several of the are scams. Bux. io is not a scam, but the payment is very low, so from an earning point of view, then it is a waste of time.
When I once in a while join PPC membership plans, then I do have one more motive:
I actually get inspired by reading the ads! The ads inspire me to 'own business ideas' and/or 'topics for writing articles about'. But I found the ads at Bux. io really boring.
I cannot think of anyone I will recommend this to.
So to all: 'Stay Away' - Don't waste your time!
askformore's comment on PeopleString ...
Awesome idea, but hard for 'Non Americans'
People String is a super idea and I joined about half a year ago, I knew already from the start that I couldn't benefit to the fullest because I live in Europe, but I am content anyway. However, I am only a free member, and as a 'Non American' I do not intend to pay the expensive fee to upgrade my membership.
I find the network 'People String' much more interesting than the 'normal' ones (such as Facebook and Twitter) and the social networking is super!
I have found several good internet friends there, and I have also learned a lot from various tips about Internet Marketing.
So I stick around even though I don't earn anything, but as long as I can participate for free I stick around.
I recommend the free membership plan to all.
askformore's comment on Ole Bux ...
The $$ are OK, but too slow for me
When I joined the Ole Bux program my idea was to get some easy money; but I also wanted to test whether this Pay per Click program was good enough for me to recommend to some of my potential referrals.
I found that the Ole Bux is an OK program (and not a scam as so many others in this type of business); but the earnings was much too slow to my taste.
I only do 'pay per clicks' for a maximum of five to ten minutes at a time; I actually relax while I do it and sometimes I even need those minutes to shift my mind from one (more serious) project to another.
But five to ten minutes per day is not enough to make money here, so I gave up on it.
I can only recommend this to those who are willing to use much more time per day, but then it might be an OK way to earn some extra pocket money.
askformore's comment on Free Affiliate Insider ...
I believe this is a money trap
I can't remember how I found the membership program 'Free Affiliate Insider', but I do remember how disappointed I was when I realized that to call it for 'Free' was a false label.
This membership program might not be a scam according to the strict definition of that word, and yes you do get something for 'free':
What you get is a bad designed website, and a 'set up' of a weight loss affiliate business.
And what you get for free comes with a 'catch' because you can only use it if you use their own overpriced hosting.
I never earned anything on the affiliate, and I was lucky that I had made the initial payment with a credit card that was about to expire; so my loss was kept to a minimal.
I give it a D, and I recommend all to stay away from this.
askformore's comment on Ultimate PLR Article Collection ...
A great collection of articles
In my business I use article writing a lot, but it can sometimes be hard to get ideas about how to get the right content. So I also use PLR articles and spinning.
One of the products I have used with great success is the program 'Ultimate PLR Article Collection'. Normally I am extremely suspicious about software the 'writes' articles (I often get irritated when I surf the net and find myself reading information that is obviously written (or spinned) by a 'robot'.
I find the Ultimate PLR Article Collection different, it does not 'write' in a way that 'stinks' of 'robot writing'. At least the way I use the program, I get articles that are 'man-made'; and I am impressed by the vast numbers of different topics there is in this great collection of articles.
askformore's comment on Article Marketing Domination ...
It changed the way I write articles
I have for quite a while used article writing to promote some of my websites, and I had the feeling that sometimes it worked and sometimes I felt it was almost wasted time.
To increase my results I ordered several e-books about article writing and submission. The e-book 'Article Marketing Domination' was one of the better ones.
When I read it, then I could really envision how Josh Spaulding had changed bad methods into good and working ones. I literally compared his experiences with my own, and now I could understand what I in the past had done right and what I had done wrong.
The book was a great help in getting me on the right track.
Article Marketing Domination came with a secure money back guarantee, but I didn't claim my money back (as I did with several of the other e-books I bought).
For the price of less than $30 this book is good, and I give it a B.
askformore's comment on PTC Now ...
PTC Now told me things I should have known already
I have wasted a lot of time on Paid To Click programs and I have hardly earned anything (and sometimes I even got scammed and didn't receive the few bucks I deserved).
Well let me make it very clear right now the e-book 'PTC Now' is not a scam. The book might even be worth a few bucks.
I bought PTC NOW some months ago because I wanted to read and learn whether it was me who had done something wrong when I previously had joined PTC schemes.
The book it well written and easy to understand, but it didn't really tell something very new. However, I joined some PTC programs and tried the techniques that I had from the book; but the results was not very different from my previous experiences.
So what did I learn from the book, and what can anyone learn from it?
For me it was the final cure (I am not going to waste time on PTC evermore).
For others it is most likely a waste of money because:
Either you know already how to make the level of money you want from PTC (and then you don't need this book).
Or you haven't tried PTC, and my advice is then: Don't waste your time.
askformore's comment on Link Wheeler ...
Great if you want a fast start of a web 2.0 business
I have several websites and am constantly trying to increase the traffic to them by writing articles and creating links to them etc.
I heard about LinkWheeler in a forum where some explained about this system, some of said it was a new idea, others claimed that it was just a manual (and expensive) way of getting links as in automatic '3 links programs' etc.
I became interested to know more about it and contacted the company (in Australia) by e-mail. I got a very fast and precise answer to my inquiry, and they suggested that we communicated further by skype phone.
Well at first sight it seems expensive to buy 27 backlinks for $149, but after they explained to me what it is they actually do then it might even be considered as being cheap. So, therefore I ordered the cheapest package from them at $149.
The Link Wheel System is not to be compared to those automatic computer programs that can create hundreds of links. It is a manual system with links, articles, and posts; and it would have taken me many hours should I have done all this myself.
The first two weeks after they submitted the links for me I didn't see any big increase in traffic, but after one month my traffic to those two URLs I had ordered LinkWheel for had increased almost 400%, but even better the conversion rate on my affiliate business had increased much more. All in all the results are much better than compared to automatic link building or link exchange schemes.
I am very satisfied and recommend this in particular to those who have fairly new projects that they want to develop fast.
askformore's comment on WP Affiliate Guide ...
I got much more than tips about affiliate business and WP
I bought the WP Affiliate Guide, because of it's low price, and that I would get information about affiliate business and wordpress, but I feel I got a lot more than that (and all that for the very low price of $25).
What I received was first of all an e-book, well written and with many good tips about affiliate business; but I also enjoyed the video course that showed me how to do it on wordpress. (I find it sometimes easier to see it illustrated on a video instead of just reading about it.)
The course and the e-book was much better than my expectations based upon the low price, BUT I got much more, because the bonuses even included a wordpress theme and some plugins.
All the stuff in the WP Affiliate Guide is at the very least a B, BUT I upgrade it to an A because of the very reasonable price.
I recommend it to all who use WP.
askformore's comment on How to Be a Rockstar Freelancer ...
It gave me a lot of inspiration
I bought the e-book How to be a Rockstar Freelancer mainly for two reasons.
First of all I wanted to know some more about how to set up freelance activities.
Secondly, I found the title amusing - not that I intend to become a rockstar, but even so.
I was not disappointed when I received the book, it has more than 200 well written pages, and they are stuffed with a lot of practical tips about what to do and what not to do if one wants to be a freelancer. And the $29 price tag of the e-book is very reasonable.
I find this book so differently better than the usual crappy e-books, and I am convinced that the reason is that this actually is a *real book* that is sold in paperback or e-book (I am very satisfied with my pdf-book - but had I know how good it is, then I would from the beginning have ordered it on paper).
I have used this book not only to gather information about freelancing, but it has even given me a lot of great inspiration to doing business in general.
I give it an A and recommend this to all!
You should buy this, the only question is:
Should it be on paper or as a pdf?
askformore's comment on Acme Free People Search Engine ...
I didn't get any cash but a lot of spamming e-mails
Almost a year ago I stumbled upon Tissa's Acme Free People Search and I thought it was a great idea to use a little of my time, and as a reward I expected to earn the promised easy $125. Well, that never happened!
It was easy to follow the instructions and it sounded good, so I even paid a small membership fee. And already after two days I had earned more than the 125 dollars; it was then that I realized that I had been scammed, because I could not get my earned money without first paying some more. I wrote to the support, but they never answered me.
I didn't ever get anything from Acme People Search neither money nor any e-mail from the support. All I got out of this venture was a lot of spam mails from others, trying to sell me a lot of rubbish.
I can only advise all to stay away from this!
askformore's comment on Blog Paycheck ...
It didn't work for me
I have several blogs on which I have (what I call ordinary Google) ads, but some months ago an Internet friend of mine convinced me that I should try something else, and he recommended me the Blog Paycheck method.
I bought the e-book, I paid 27 dollars for it. On the sales website I was told that this price was reduced for a very limited time, so I should order it fast! (now, many months later the price is still $27).
The e-book is written in a way that is very easy to understand, and it covers the basic principle about blogging for money. But I must say that most of it was extremely basic, and I knew most of it already (and a lot of the information can actually be found for free on the net)
Some of the (for me) new things were writing posts directly related to a specific advertisers. I tried this method, and I followed the instructions from the book. But I gave up after having worked this way 6-8 weeks, the reason was that I had less income than what I estimated I would have through ordinary ads and affiliate business.
For most people this is not worth $27, but the book (and system) is not a scam. I give it a C.
askformore's comment on ClickNearn ...
One my first meetings with a scam company
I was very new at internet marketing when I signed up for clickNearn and I really believed that I would not only earn but also get a lot of valuable information (e-books and other types of bonus). So I paid the membership fee but I never earned anything.
Naive as I was as a newbie, then I imagined that it was me who did something wrong so I e-mailed them in order to get some help. - But I never got any answer!
I was lucky that the creditcard I had used to the first payment had expired when the next amount was to be paid, so I only lost the initial amount. And I wasted my time.
It is long ago I had this experience, I am actually surprised to learn that they still exist.
It is a total scam! F
askformore's comment on Commission Soup ...
After a slow start it really worked
An Internet friend of mine recommended me to join as an affiliate at 'Commission Soup', he has very good earnings with them, but he is a top professional.
Well, even though I was less experienced, then I applied to become an affiliate with them. But I was rejected! - However, I don't give up that easy, so I send a new application, with another website of mine. Only to be rejected once again.
My friend recommended me to phone them (which I did) and I had a very pleasant conversation during which I was advised to send them a list with some of my domain-names (I have 600+, but most of them are only parked and for sale).
After some exchange of e-mails I was approved as an affiliate member.
The products that Commission Soup offers are very good, and the sales material and banners are very professional. It is very easy to 'set up' and follow my campaigns.
For the first couple of months I didn't earn anything, but then a nice stream of money began to come my way.
I must admit that it is not easy to be a newbie in affiliate marketing, but Commission Soup's support has helped me a lot (I might even have learned more from them than from the tons of e-books I have invested in)
I give Commission Soup an A, but I do not recommend it to beginners, because they will not be accepted anyway.
askformore's comment on Backlinks Black Belt Report ...
Black Belt gave me fast results
Half a year ago I had for several months worked hard, trying to get backlinks to my websites, and I believed that I was doing well in my (more or less manual) progress; BUT I didn't get any big increase in my traffic.
I decided to buy e-books and some systems to help me, and one of the many products I bought was the 'Backlinks Black Belt Report'. I found the price high, and the major reason why I bought it anyway was the money back guarantee (through CB).
Then for one month I tested the various e-books and techniques on different domains (I have many). There was a huge difference in the different results I got. Some had only very little effect. One of the methods spoiled a PR2 to a PR0.
The 'Backlinks Black Belt Report' was not the system that gave me the highest increase of traffic. However, it was the system that gave me the highest increase in conversion (almost 100%).
I am very satisfied with Black Belt, so I didn't claim my money back on this. And I give it a B+.
askformore's comment on Yola ...
The free membership is great
I have tried the Yola hosting as a free member, and also for some months via the paid membership program.
Let me first share my experiences as a 'free member'.
It was extremely easy to set up a site. I did it with one of my own domain names, and after I had changed the name-servers at my name provider, my new site was working in less than 20 minutes (during those 20 minutes I had even tested different looks of the many templates).
I used my own domain name because I intended to use it for business. - But for private purposes, a newbie can most likely be very content with a subdomain such as: name. yola.com and by doing this, then the result is awesome considering it is all for free!
(Free version is A+)
I also tried the paid pro version and it is cheap, but I do not find it professional enough for business purposes.
It is OK if it is used for more advanced private use; or if a newbie want to test the IM business.
(Paid version C+)
I can recommend all to try out the free version (you have nothing to lose). And I give Yola (combined free & paid version) a B+
askformore's comment on Copy Paste Systems ...
It is not just cut and paste - and it is too expensive
I signed up as a member to the 'Copy Paste Systems', but I didn't invest the normal price of $77. I only paid $5. The reason I only paid that is because I am a subscriber to another marketing program, from which I constantly get good offers (sometimes completely free).
Well for the 'Copy Paste Systems' I paid the $5 to get the system and the tutorial package. The agreement was that I even had a a money back guarantee on that. If I on the other hand liked it, then my credit card would be charged the remaining $72 for a life time membership plan.
Well, I didn't like it. The Copy Paste Systems is not very bad but it is not very good either, and most of the information can be found on the internet.
I also find the full price $77 overpriced, because it is not just a 'cut and paste and Go'; one would have to do a lot more than cut and paste before this is profitable.
And as for the membership, the I am convinced that active memberships in a couple of good forums will equal the 'Copy Paste Systems Membership'.
I can't imagine whom I could recommend this to at the $77 price tag.
askformore's comment on Virtual Property Tycoon ...
This idea is 100% legit
I was of course skeptical when I heard about the system 'Virtual Property Tycoon'. I am always on alert (for not being scammed) when I see words such as 'tycoon' and promises about earning many thousands of dollars in no time.
Well, I bought the 'Virtual Property Tycoon' and I can say direct that it is not a scam. The idea is 100% legit and it is actually so simple that I could kick myself for not having thought of this on my own. Having said so, this does not mean that I knew it all before I bought 'VPT', because all I knew in advance was that anyone has the right to take information that is public domain and use it in any way he/she wants.
I followed the instructions in the tutorial videos and the written material, and in less than a month I made $658 - so even though I didn't earn the many thousands that the sales pitch had promised, then I am satisfied, because I know that there is more coming in the future.
I give this system a B.
askformore's comment on WordPress Affiliate Elite ...
One of the best WordPress plugins
One of the reasons I like to use WordPress to publish my blogs is the many available plugins. A friend of mine (a webdesigner) told me about 'WordPress Affiliate Elite'; he mocked me (in a friendly way) when he told me that this plugin is so easy to use that even I could find my way. (I do know something about html, but I am not an expert).
I bought the program a few months ago, and I have not regretted that! It has helped me a lot and it has on some of my blogs increased the results of my affiliate business dramatically.
I use it in particular on blogs where I have very little graphics, and where I have no (or very few) ads.
I find it extremely easy to select those keywords I want to function as 'clickable links' to my affiliate businesses. The links are set up without any coding, even the change of color etc. is set up by means of a mouse click.
I am convinced that the very good results I have experienced is a combination of 'WordPress Affiliate Elite' and the way I use it.
My test shows that I get extremely good results (clicks AND conversion) if I use it on blogs that are mainly text.
The visitors find the blog more trustworthy when it is a site without a lot of ads and 'flashy banners'; - and even when they click on a word and are taken to a sales site, then he still remembers that they came from a trustworthy site, so if the visitor is targeted correctly, then he/she will buy.
I recommend this plugin to all WordPress users, and I give it an A.
askformore's comment on Make My Website Sell ...
Helped me to increase my conversion rate
Some months ago I was trying to 'shape up' some of my websites that had decent traffic but very little sales. I visited many blogs and forums to get tips about what to do. In a forum I heard positive things about the system 'Make my website sell'. I bought it (as it even came with a 3 month money back guarantee) and I am very satisfied with my investment in this.
For me it turned out to be TWO very pleasant products that I received - and each of them were well worth the price:
ONE: it turned out to be a two hour seminar, loaded with a lot of theory about how to make the visitors stay and most important buy!
Normally I would say that two hours is way too long, but in this case it is OK because it is full of interesting instructions; however, it might not have worked for me if it hadn't been for the printed transcript.
TWO: I received tons of graphics (jpg) that were ready to use on my websites - I would not have been able to create these effective images myself.
I like very much the combination of 'theory and practical' that 'Make my website sell' delivers. And it has increased my conversion rate more than I expected.
I give it an A.
askformore's comment on Membership Sites for Newbies ...
Good guide on how to start a membership site
I had for some weeks surfed the net looking for the best ways to create a recurring income when I found 'Membership Sites for Newbies'.
I am glad I bought the e-book, which I find very cheap compared to the useful information it contains. It gives more than merely a theoretical background because of all the practical tips.
The information given is very useful for those who want to make an honest and decent membership site (those who are looking for cheap tricks and BlackHat methods should search in other directions). - I take this as a proof that Mike Filsaime himself is a trustworthy marketeer.
The book helped me a lot to plan and set up a membership site, and I can highly recommend it (I give it a B).
askformore's comment on Prepaid Legal ...
Prepaid Legal is OK, - but it didn't work for me
I joined Prepaid Legal because I own some good generic domain names within the legal area.
The first month I didn't have any earnings, but after some adjustments and promotion I began to see an OK profit.
However, when I had participated in the program for about 3 months, then several of my early customers canceled their subscriptions and the money that I imagined I had earned was charged back; - one month I even had to pay more back than what I received on new customers.
In the end I didn't make any loss on Prepaid Legal, but I didn't make a profit either that could compensate for my time and effort.
It is my opinion that a success with Prepaid Legal needs more than Internet Marketing, because you must be able to have a direct contact with your customers - not only to make them sign up but even more to make they stay with the services.
The program and the company is OK and should as such be graded a B. However because of my poor results I only give it a C (even though I am to be blamed myself)
askformore's comment on 1 Article A Day ...
This is a great help
I have many different websites (actually too many) and I have too little time to feed them all with fresh content.
In my opinion '1 Article a Day' is better than most of the other PLR article providers I have because I can use the '1 day article' almost directly.
I merely add a few lines and change (edit) some of the words to my own brand names. It is much easier and much faster than the modification (spinning) of my other standard PLR articles.
I have not experienced any problems when I use my edited articles; I have used them without being 'punished' by the search engines for publishing copied content.
I can recommend this membership to all who have 3 or more blogs.
I give it a grade B.
askformore's comment on Zero Cost Profits ...
NOT good for beginners
I bought Zero Cost Profits because the 'sales pitch' was professional and did not have more unrealistic hype than normal on these types of e-books.
However, the e-book that I received was in a standard way below the sales pitch. And the content was not giving me anything new. But what was worse was that several of his ideas behind 'Zero Costs' will also most likely result in 'Zero Profit'.
The more advanced users will only shake their heads and claim a money back refund.
I believe that the beginners are worse off, because they might believe in the BS; so they will not only waste the money but even waste time.
I give it a D.
I have claimed a money refund, but I don't know whether I will receive it; I expect I will, otherwise it would have been a F (scam).
askformore's comment on Building Social Equity 2.0 ...
Good information about social networking
I wanted to get a better knowledge about the 'Web 2.0', so therefore I surfed the net and downloaded a lot of free stuff.
Building Social Equity 2.0 was one of the products I bought because a friend of mine recommended the product and the seller; and it had a money back guarantee.
The video course I received was made very professionally and well organized. - I like that the different elements are on separate videos and I also appreciate that there are many transcripts.
It gave me very good information about which 'social networks' that were best for my business. There are also many good tips about how my WordPress blogs are made better and more interesting for the visitors that has been 'invited' from Twitter, Facebook etc.
All the information is very specific and useful, and I learned many new things.
For me the training course itself had many new useful ideas about blogging and social network marketing (web 2.0), whereas I found that the bonus material was merely 'old recycled stuff'.
I give it a B, and recommend it to all who want to take their blogs to the level of Web 2.0.
askformore's comment on Site Build It (SBI!) ...
I know now why the opinions about SBI are so mixed
I had heard many bad things about SBI; - many claimed it was much too expensive, and some even claimed it was a scam.
A good friend of mine continued to encourage me to try it, and it was NOT because she was marketing it as an affiliate. So I finally signed up to Site Build It.
SBI turned out to be very much different to what I had expected.
First of all, I found that SBI is more than a 'system' where you build your new website in 10 minutes by means of templates.
Actually the entrance to a 'full understanding' of SBI is a 10 day video course.
The course is an action guide where you learn to set up your business, finding your niche, making keyword research, etc.
Well, the videos are full of good information, so it took me more than two weeks to learn it all.
I also contacted customer services, which were very efficient; and it is extremely unlikely that the help I received would have been given by a 'scam company' (nor have I heard of any who were 'scammed' if they wanted to use the money back guarantee).
I find the monthly $29 price OK, if you have one (or only a few sites). It includes all you need to know in order to run an Internet business.
After I tried SBI myself, then I am convinced that one of the confusions (mixed opinions) about SBI is because so many claim it is 'for beginners'.
It is a professional business system that will give good results to all, IF you follow the instructions of the action guide.
And the guide is good for beginners and for those who are more advanced in Internet Business.
askformore's comment on Social Money Magnet ...
Social Money Magnet changed the way I think about twitter
I don't twitter very much, most of all because I don't believe that other people are interested in what I had for dinner or what I will do tomorrow.... BUT the 'Social Money Magnet' system changed the way I think about twitter. I realized that I had missed a bundle of dollars because of my very reluctant approach to twitter.
I began to use the program because I could try it out for a very low investment. It was very easy to begin to use, and I soon realized what I had done wrong in the past at twitter. I had been very unorganized, and my effort had not at all been targeted.
The programs and the training material made it easy for me to find those followers that were the right ones for my market; and it was really a huge help for me to be able to schedule twitter.
I have now used the programs for more than a month, and I can see an increased traffic with a good conversion rate.
I recommend all marketers to try out the $5 test period.
askformore's comment on ClickTale ...
It was a big surprise for me to see how my visitors moved around
I have many different websites, some are very traditional, others are blogs with a lot of design and graphics.A friend of mine claimed that one of my sites was very difficult to navigate on, and he suggested that I should use ClickTale to get a clear vision of how visitors reacted to the design.
I signed first up for the free membership where I could get one website analyzed. The report is extremely different from products, such as Google Analytics. Instead of merely getting statistics then I get a visual (video) of my visitors behavior.
It was a big surprise for me to see how my visitors moved around. They didn't at all 'behave' as I had intended them to do. I had not expected this because the Google Analytics were not that bad.
I changed my membership to a paid level, where I can monitor 10 websites. It is expensive but worth every penny, because I get more than statistics: What I really get is knowledge about how to design my sites.
I recommend all to sign up for the free membership where you can monitor one site. YOU MIGHT BE IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE, when you see how your visitors behave for real!
askformore's comment on World Profit ...
I have been a 'free member' at World Profit
I signed up for the free membership program at World Profit.
However, being only a 'free member' does not give you any real possibility to 'try out' the business program, because all you can do at that level is to watch videos that basically try to sell you the full (over priced) package.
I am happy that I didn't pay for full membership (the reason I didn't buy it was because Dr. Lant insulted me).
I recommend all to read the imreportcard review about the person behind the World Profit: Dr. Jeffrey Lant.
And it might also be interesting (and wise) to make a search at Google: 'World Profit Scam'.
askformore's comment on 4-Day Money Making Blueprint ...
Very complete and easy tutorial material
I was not a complete beginner when I got the '4 Day Money Making Blueprint' and I actually wish I had been - because when I read the material and saw all the videos, then I sometimes got a little bored (because I already knew a lot of it). Having said that, I have to make it very clear that I am very content with the very complete material, and I would have saved a lot of time if this course had been my very first introduction to Internet Marketing.
I like that all the information is in many separate videos, it gives the option to skip some, and to watch others several times.
I learned most on the strategies about how to use SEO to get high ranking pages fast. And the information about article writing was also very good and with many practical tips.
I recommend it to all beginners. - If you buy this and combine it with free information found on the web (such as Google's instructions), then you are very well off.
askformore's comment on NameCheap ...
Good service, whether you have one or many domains
I have many domain names, and I actually have them registered at several different name providers. Well, I was (am) not completely satisfied with all of the others, and when I told this to an internet friend of mine, he recommended me to try 'Name Cheap'.
I tried it out and registered one new domain - it was a pleasant surprise that it came with privacy protection at no extra cost.
I also found the whole website very pleasant (and not plastered with a lot of colorful promos).
The control panel is also very easy to use, and the change of name servers are easy and fast.
I like their low prices and the price policy with no hidden extra charges.
They are on my shortlist of registrars, when I during 2010 will transfer my domains to fewer name providers.
I can recommend NameCheap to all, whether you have one or many domains.
askformore's comment on Jeffrey Lant ...
He is not very nice
I got in 'contact' with Dr Lant when someone tried to sell me the 'World Profit Center' idea. I was invited to an online seminar, and I actually participated three times. It turned out to be a very mixed feelings experience.
The first time I participated, I found it OK, and I decided to take a closer look at the business idea, which sounded very good and legit.
My closer look was first and foremost reading all the pages of the World Profits's website. It had a lot of information and did not have any aggressive or hard selling hype (In fact it was almost not selling).
So I participated in one more online sales situation, and decided to begin with a free membership.
However, the free membership turned out to be rather worthless, because it didn't consist of anything but promotion to become a silver level member a price of approx. $1,000.
The third time I joined in the online (chat) sales meeting, I became very surprised.
The whole atmosphere became very rude when someone asked Dr. Lant whether the business was legit in the USA (World Profit is a Canadian located company). Dr. Lant became very rude and aggressive, it was as if his whole personality changed from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde.
He became rude to other of the participants, and when I informed that I was not prepared just to pay that kind of money (neither as one sum, nor in installments) then he became rude to me too, and mocked me.
Well, I simply logged out, without a word.
My recommendation is: Don't do business with this guy!
askformore's comment on Instant Fast Traffic ...
A lot of info for $17
I found the course 'Instant Fast Traffic' when I searched the net for SEO techniques. The sales site looked OK, and the product sounded promising. And (most of all) the price was only $17.
So I bought it (it even came with a money back guarantee). The course came in 3 modules, which actually can be read individually and/or in any order, IF you already know something about Internet Marketing and SEO.
The course is very well written and it give a full overview what is needed to get traffic, and it is 'real' traffic instead of 'junk traffic' by automatic bots, or 'clickers', or BlackHat, etc.
But total course does not contain anything new, or any secrets that can't be found for free on the net.
However, even though it didn't teach me anything new, I liked this course (and the £17 price).
I used it as a check-up list to see how well I actually already practiced the various techniques. And even though I knew it all already, then I believe it would be very unfair to use the 'money back guarantee, because the product is OK.
I recommend this 3 module course to all beginners, the price is extremely OK, and if you use this, you will have a very good start.
More advanced can do as I did: Use it as a check-up-list to make a status of how well you actually do the basics of 'traffic making'.
askformore's comment on 100K Winners Circle ...
This is not a scam, but
I joined 100k Winners Circle and expected to learn a lot about network marketing. Well the membership program is very clearly not a scam, but even so I feel lured. It doesn't cost anything to join, and that is fair enough, because I didn't get anything at all by being a member, unless I joined another program: 'Coached by Millionaires'.
So, I joined this other program for $7 per month, and that turned out to be a complete waste of my money and my time. I didn't understand what went on there; it was as if you would only understand it IF you already knew it all.
I can only recommend 100k Winners Circle to those who are already members of the other programs, and who should be joining that program (Coached by Millionaires), I do not know.
My 'grading' of 100k Winners Circle is based upon that membership program alone, and I grade it: F = worthless, which as such is OK because the price is zero, but it is a waste of time.
PS: I am unable to grade and comment about 'Coached by Millionaires', because I honestly don't understand it.
askformore's comment on Sell Your Site For More ...
I didn't sell my sites for more
I have more than 600 domains in very different niches. Almost all of them are registered by me (What I mean is that I haven't bought any very expensive, developed websites).
Some of my domains are blogs, others are 'normal' websites, but most are just parked. Because I had failed to sell as many domains as I had hoped for, I then invested in 'Sell your site for more'. (I chose the SYSFM SILVER package for $90).
The e-book and the bonus tutorials I received were well written and the suggested selling techniques were very easy to understand. And the techniques are most likely also very effective IF they are used on domain names that have a value of $500 (or more) per domain, I do not doubt that Parker's strategy and method will result in higher sales prices for expensive domains.
Well, unfortunately that is not my situation; - I would be happy if I got $50 per domain, and I don't think that his strategy is good for domains of low value; - at least 'I didn't sell my sites for more'.
Instead I claimed a refund according to the promised 'money back guarantee'. I received my money within a week.
askformore's comment on Automated Income Course ...
This is hard work, but the earnings are OK
I am constantly on the outlook to open up new channels of income, and on my way around I stumbled upon the Automated Income Course.
Well, at first I was very skeptical because Shaun Smith wanted £57 of 'my money' for an automated system, without really telling me what the system would do for me - apart from a 'half spoken promise' that I could earn up to £700 ($1,200)per day.
There was also a free offer on the sales website: In exchange for my e-mail address, he would send me a one week training course. I signed up for that, and it turned out to be a daily tutorial e-mail for seven days; each of the e-mails had good ideas about how to sell on the Internet, so in the end I bought the system.
It came with a money back guarantee and the seller, Shaun Smith, isn't hiding, so I didn't see it as a big risk.
Well, the Automated Income Course is based upon some simple, but good ideas. It is 100% legit, and it is possible to earn on it (although I doubt that I will ever make £700 per day).
It is not a quick way of getting rich and it is hard work, but the earnings are OK; it is even possible to earn the price (£57) before the last day of the money back guarantee.
I recommend it to all who have the time (and £57) to investigate something new. However, it is wise to try the 7 days free course first, in order to check, whether you like the style of Shaun Smith.
(I give it a B)
askformore's comment on Cash Making Affiliate Sites ...
Satisfied, even though I don't earn as much as I was promised
Some months ago I wanted to expand my affiliate business, but I wanted to do more than just sign up to some new affiliate programs.
I read about the 'Cash Making Affiliate Sites' in a forum, and I visited the sales website to learn more.
It made many promises about how much (and how easy) I could get a high income by means of affiliate business, but the sales pitch was not completely 'hype' and/or unrealistic.
However, the main reason I signed up was the offer that I could sign up for a 7 days trial period for less than $5.
I received the material, which I found very easy to read, even though it covers a very complete instruction in affiliate marketing and SEO, etc. - I paid the remaining $72 after the 7 days trial period, and I am satisfied, even though I don't earn as much as I was promised in the sales pitch.
One of the reasons I am satisfied is the very good instructions about how to make good affiliate sales on WordPress sites.
Another reason is the module about marketing through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. (I got several new tips in this module).
I can recommend 'Cash Making Affiliate Sites' to those who are rather new in affiliating, and who want to expand with new strategies.
askformore's comment on Jason Katzenback ...
Jason (JohnCow) Katzenback gives tons of information away for free
I got to know Jason Katzenback when I bought the e-book '$365k Blog Traffic Formula'. In that book he was one of the gurus who explained how they personally made money as an internet marketer.
I was not really impressed by the e-book, but I changed my opinion about Jason when I read his personal blog.
The blog is very well organized in different categories, I use it as an easy access 'Internet Marketing encyclopedia'.
He gives tons of information away for free on the blog. I find it very easy to search for whatever information I need, and I always get very inspired when I read his tips.
I can recommend all to visit his blog. Beginners and advanced marketers can benefit from reading about SEO, advertising, social network, etc. And one can even download a free e-book "Build a Business, Not Just a Blog".
askformore's comment on NanoBloggers ...
NanoBloggers is so extremely different from all others
From day one of my career as an Internet Marketeer I was so focused on getting a high rank by Google; i. e. a high 'Page Rank' and a high position on 'Google's Search Pages'.
So when I in a forum heard about NanoBloggers I became extremely skeptical; because what I heard about this strategy was the exact opposite. Peter Spaepen's advice in NanoBloggers was to forget all about Google and SEO!
But in addition to being skeptical I also became curious, so I went to the sales site. - Already here I became surprised, because the site was not full of the normal sales pitch and hypes about how I would become a millionaire in 'no time'.
I decided to give it a try, for two reasons: 1) The way Peter Spaepen was selling, and 2) It came with a money back guarantee.
I did find the price high ($97), but I decided to give it a try anyway.
I have now used it for more than one month; and it has given me a lot of inspiration, even though I must admit that I have modified his strategy some (I do not give up on SEO).
I find his strategy about getting traffic by means of social networking sites and forums very good for getting targeted traffic, and I have good results with newsletter subscribers (to my e-mail list).
I remains yet to be seen how much I will earn on those blogs, where I have implemented his strategy, but I am content with the tutorial material I have received, so I do not claim my money back.
I recommend all who want an alternative to SEO to take a close look upon NanoBloggers.
askformore's comment on Paying PTR ...
I regret I ever believed in this scam
I signed up as a member at 'Paying PTR' when I was rather new on the Internet, trying to earn money in as many different ways as possible.
Well, it sounded so great, and as an easy way to earn money; - but in the end I never got a single cent.
I feel ashamed over the fact that I could even imagine this would be a way of earning money. A closer investigation of their business (income) compared to the fantastic 'pay out' promises (that I believed in) would have made me realize that this was a scam.
I wasted a lot of time reading tons of advertisements before I woke up. The only good thing was that I didn't waste any money on a paid membership.
To all: Stay away from this scam! Don't waste your time.
askformore's comment on Twitter Treasure Chest ...
I didn't find any treasure
I do not twitter very much, but when I heard that many people made good money by doing that, then I wanted to learn more about that type of business. I bought the e-book Twitter Treasure Chest and after having read it very carefully, then I began to implement the various instructions.
The most important change I did was to make a new profile; and I did get several new followers, and I even got the new followers at a faster rate than ever before. It helped me to build up my mailing list, but it is my impression that none of the sales through my affiliating were a result from this activity.
I am not 100% certain of this, but I assume that what happened was that all on my new list (so to speak) was trying to sell, but none were interested in buying.
So I didn't find any treasure, but I met a lot of 'treasure hunters'.
I don't recommend this book to anyone. It will not help beginners in making money by means of twitter. Those (few?) who already are able to use twitter as a money maker have no need for this.
askformore's comment on BlackhatGuide ...
One month of BlackHat Guide was enough for me
As a beginner to Internet Marketing I was interested in learning about as many different tricks and business strategies as possible, so when I on my 'surf way' ran into the 'BlackHat Guide', I signed up as a member.
I read the e-book very carefully, and I did learn many new things. However, I had already read most of it on various blogs and in free e-books. I also participated actively in the membership forum, and I learned even more there; BUT a lot of the things I learned there were in my opinion NOT legit.
The e-book and the membership forum gave me a good understanding about how BlackHat Marketing works, and I must say that it is not anything for me. So one month of BlackHat Guide was enough for me, and I didn't continue my membership.
For those who want to know some details about BlackHat, then the price $19.99 for the e-book and one month at the forum 'might' be OK. BUT I do find that a permanent membership for $300 is a waste of money.
askformore's comment on Link Market ...
Link Market is a good start
I have many domains, some are blogs, others are ordinary websites, and many are merely parked. I do not have enough time to apply proper SEO techniques on all of them, so I decided some months ago to try out 'link exchange'.
I found that Link Market was worth a try, but I have only signed up for the free service.
I do not know for sure, BUT I fear that Google regards this as a 'Link Farm' and if they do, then they will eventually punish those who participate there. As a consequence of my fear I have only participated with sites that have PR0, and so far it has worked for me. Several of my sites that are 'participating' at Link Market have now PR2.
I can recommend others to use the free membership at Link Market the same way I do (I have no knowledge or opinion about the paid services).
askformore's comment on Magic Article Rewriter ...
Not perfect, but saves time
I find it very time consuming to write content to my blogs and websites and I have searched for different tools to help me. One of the better ones I have found is the 'Magic Article Rewriter'. It is not perfect, but it is a great time saver.
I use it primarily to make my own versions of PLR articles I subscribe to. The program is very easy to use, and I use a combination of adding my own words and the suggested synonyms; by using this method I am very content with the 'new article'.
I have also tried to use it to spin articles, because I wanted to get many versions of the same article and submit them to different article directories.
However, I am not very content with that function. In my opinion the 'spinned' articles sound very 'funny', and sometimes even meaningless.
So I do not really use the program to 'spin'. But I only create 2 (max. 3) versions of a PLR article.
I bought it in a bundled price with the Article Submitter, but those extra dollars were a waste, the way I use the program.
However, I recommend the 'Magic Article Rewriter' to 're-write' PLR articles. The price of the single program is OK, considering the time saved.
askformore's comment on Affiliate Overdrive ...
Very good place to start as an affiliate marketeer
Before I began as an affiliate marketer I surfed the net for free information and I also bought several e-books. These preparations made it possible to begin without very big mistakes.
Of course there were many bad (some were even spams) among what I bought; but Affiliate Overdrive was one of the better, and it gives the information better than the free information found on the net, because the many tips and techniques are concentrated in one tutorial guide.
It has many tips about what to do and what not to do. In particular it gives a very good introduction to ClickBank. And the guide also gives good information about how to get increased traffic.
I recommend this e-book to beginners who want a good comprehensive introduction to the affiliate market. But there is not anything new in it for the more advanced marketer.
askformore's comment on Net Partner ...
Net Partner is really a partner
I have many different websites and blogs, on most of them I have ads (from Adsense and others). On several of my websites I also have affiliate banners.
I like that instantly I can see the results when a visitor clicks on one of the ads, whereas most of the affiliate business is very slow in showing the results.
When I discussed this with a friend of mine, he recommended me to try Cost Per Action (CPA), and he told me that he himself had good results with 'Net Partner'.
At my first attempt to sign up, the website I referred was not approved. But after communication via e-mails, I got a publishers account; and a few days later I had my first income.
I am very satisfied with the results. Of course I am paid less per action (such as submitting e-mail address or a trial membership) than I am paid for an affiliate sales; - but it works much better for me.
I can recommend a partnership with NetPartner as a 'Partner', because they really live up to their name.
They have a very good support team, and give good advice about how to maximize the profit.
askformore's comment on Supreme Wealth Alliance ...
In spite of the name it is legit (and most likely good)
An Internet friend of mine recommended me to join the Supreme Wealth Alliance. Before I joined I 'Googled' in order to read the good and the bad comments about it - even though it is always hard to know whether the good comments are placed by the vendor himself. My search didn't result in any dramatic warnings.
So I signed up. The website did have a 'touch of pyramid game', and also some 'hype' about how much I could earn on the different pay plans. - The only reason I signed up was the 7 day free trial period.
Even before the seven days I decided that this was not anything for me. My decision was NOT because of anything bad about the program, but I realized that I do not have enough relevant connections that I could recruit.
I believe that this could give a good income IF you have a big mail list.
askformore's comment on Facebook Ads Manager ...
From skeptical to convinced
I run some joint venture projects with my business associates. One of my partners suggested that we should use the Facebook Ads Manager from '4Hour Affiliate'.
I was extremely skeptical about this. Partly because of the names of the company and the product (I couldn't see any connection between those! So was it a smart scam?); but I was even more skeptical because of the price tag: $200!
Well, I accepted the cost when my partner promised to shoulder the loss. We had advertised on Facebook before (and will again), but it became very soon obvious that we had much better results when we used the Facebook Ads Manager, - the reason is that our ads became much more targeted.
I recommend this product, but only to those who have a fairly large advertising budget.
askformore's comment on DreamTemplate ...
Impressive collection of templates and images
I became a member of 'Dream Template' almost two months ago because I needed to make better designs on my domains (I have hundreds of domains: Some are traditional websites, others are blogs, but many are just parked and set up for sale) and all three groups of domains can benefit from a 'design uplift'.
I became overwhelmed by the huge number of templates, and I only downloaded a few of them. But then I realized that I could benefit even more by using many of the very good images, and I have downloaded and used many of them. The images can be used instantly, whereas the website templates need some modification.
I also joined DreamTemplates affiliate program (They pay through Commission Junction). It is not that I expect to get a huge income on that, but they pay a 30% commission, so it only takes 4 sales before I have earned more than what I paid. (Right now I have two sales, but I have not been paid yet, because of the money back guarantee).
I am a very happy customer, and I recommend Dream Templates to all who need designs AND: Images!
askformore's comment on BestDollarClicks ...
A big flop
Some months ago I joined the 'Best Dollar Clicks' because it sounded as an easy way to earn some extra money.
I imagined in particular that I would later on earn some automatic residual income by referring this to others. However, I wanted to try it out myself before I would recommend it to others.
Well, I have not referred it to anyone else; and I do not intend to do so, because it turned out to be a big flop. I never received any money, so in fact it was almost a complete waste of my time.
The only reason that it wasn't a 100% waste of time is:
I saw many ads and websites; some were good and some were in my opinion extremely bad.
I didn't get any money, but I got some inspiration about how to advertise and design websites; - but of course I could have surfed the net and learned the same without having joined this scam!
askformore's comment on 15 Minute Google Domination Course ...
For me it became a 15 day tour downhill
I wanted to increase the page ranking of some of my websites, and I felt that I had to do something different and new.
So I bought the '15 Minute Google Domination' some months ago.
I studied the material very carefully before I began to implement some of the techniques in the guide. There were several ideas that were new to me, and because I trusted it to work, I then began to do as the guide instructed.
This turned out to be a big mistake.
I had a couple of sites that was ranked PR2 by Google, and I was looking forward to an increase. So my surprise was big when instead the change I experienced after two weeks was a change to PR0.
I asked an 'Internet friend' of mine, what he thought of it. He told me that according to 'Google's taste' that I had been 'spamming' and as a result Google had punished me.
My advice to all is:
Read Google's guidelines very carefully and use only techniques that are within their recommendations.
And stay away from the '15 Minute Google Domination'
askformore's comment on AffiliateScout ...
I read the reviews at affiliate scout
I have some affiliate business (very narrow niches), but most of my websites and blogs are not promoting other products, (yet!)
I am not a member of Affiliate Scout, but I have used it a lot during the last couple of months.
I still consider myself as a beginner in affiliate business; therefore I am searching the net intensely in order to find the 'right' products.
I find Affiliate Scout a good place to search, and I am in particular reading the reviews written by other publishers.
I also find the information that Affiliate Scout provides very useful. It is easy to search for products and networks, and I take notice of how the merchants pay - How often, Minimum amount paid, Do they pay via PayPal etc.
I can recommend all who are on their way into the 'affiliate market' to use the free searching and information system of Affiliate Scout.
askformore's comment on WP Robot ...
WP Robot made my life much easier
I have several blogs, all of them are Word Press. For me it is time consuming to keep the blogs updated with fresh content, and not only that, but it is oftentimes hard to get good ideas of what to write about.
One of the plugins that has made it easier for me is the WP Robot. So far I only have the free version, but even that has been a great help in getting new good posts. I can't say that it has increased my profit, however, that might not be the fault of WP Robot, but rather my mistake when choosing keywords.
I have decided to test the free version some more weeks, and I would like to listen to others experience with the more advanced paid versions.
I recommend all Word Press users to try out the free membership.
askformore's comment on 27 List Building Tactics ...
The best tactic is to stay away from this product
I am slowly building up an e-mail list, and I am of course interested to speed that process up. So therefore I bought the e-book '27 List Building Tactics'.
The e-book is written in a way that is easy to understand (for beginners and pros). I read it fast, and while reading it I asked myself the question whether I knew each of the tips in the book already (and also made a consideration about whether I already used that particular tactic).
The result was that I did not find any new tactics, and I believe that it is quite easy to find all the information in the '27 List' by surfing the net. There are many blogs and forums where all relevant tactics for list building can be found.
My recommendation to all is: Don't buy this product, it is not a scam but it is simply not worth the price.
askformore's comment on 5 Minute Articles ...
5 videos for $5
I am in particular interested in finding tools that can improve my articles and content writing (my first language isn't English).
One of the better investments I have made is the '5 Minute Articles'; and the investment for the 5 videos was only one dollar a piece.
I liked that the package is divided in 5 videos, each of them focusing on a separate topic.
Some of the videos I have watched several times. I learned the most about writing the articles with proper use of keywords; and I got some of my mistakes I have made in the past corrected by video #3 about how to make a proper bio box in my ezine articles.
I can recommend these videos to all who are fairly new article writers (as I am).
askformore's comment on Nomad's Guide to Make Money Online ...
A very direct and honest e-book
I buy a lot of e-books and videos in order to become a better internet marketer. Quite often what I get is very different to what was promised on the 'sales page'. 'Nomad's Guide to Make Money Online' is a clear exception to that rule. - What She Says Is What You Get!
Nomad's Guide is a well written e-book that presents the content in a very well structured way. It is not that it has a lot of new or secret information; in fact Nomad even informs that you can find most of the information for free on Grizzly Bears' blog.
So why should anyone want to pay $37 for something you can get for free?
Well, if you are an experienced Internet Marketeer, then I advise you to keep your money in your pocket.
But if you are fairly new, then the $37 can save you a lot of time. Think of it as a 'cookbook' of IM; - if you are still in the learning phase of internet business, then this book gives you all the recipes, and at the same time it explains you all about which ingredients that are needed to get success.
askformore's comment on Paidyousure.com ...
Low pay out!
When I was a complete newbie, I tried out a lot of different channels. Paid You Sure is one of them. But I got bored soon!
Well, it was very easy to become a member and to start the clicking. It was also easy to begin to earn, BUT the earning was extremely slow. And I found the job very boring too.
The only good thing was that the pay out limit was very low, only two dollars! So, I 'cashed in', when I reached that.
I can only recommend it if you have plenty of time and maybe even are relaxing while you get paid for the clicks.
askformore's comment on PLR Articles Daily ...
I am impressed!
I have a lot of websites. Or to be more correct I have a lot of domain names (600+) - some are blogs - some are mini sites - and a lot of them are just 'parked'.
What I don't have a lot of is 'time'. And I need time to write content!
I was lucky to find PLR Articles Daily, and I found it as a great deal to get 5 PLR articles everyday, without having to pay anything!
All I have to do is to read the ads and promotions sent to me (without any obligations to buy).
So, I signed up and got my first 5 PLR articles. I had to edit them, and what I did was to make one page out of them, with a private unique content. This took me less than 10 minutes.
But as an extra bonus I even received 100 articles (about 4 different topics). I could instantly use one of the topics to some related domains I have; and in less than half an hour I had updated 8 websites with fresh unique content.
I can recommend PLR Articles Daily to all, beginners or pros! It is great and 100% free! I give it an A.
askformore's comment on Free Traffic Fast ...
Many good free ideas
I am working hard to get more traffic to my websites, so therefore I search for general information and new ideas at many different places. When I was surfing the net, I came across 'Free Traffic Fast' and because of the low price I bought it.
I am satisfied with my purchase, I paid $7 and I find the content better than many other e-books priced much higher.
It is not that Free Traffic Fast contains a lot of new ideas (or so called secret knowledge), but it has a well structured overview of the different ways of getting links which result in higher traffic. And I made kind of a 'status' to check how many of the free (fast) methods I *really* was using.
I believe that all who are fairly new in Internet Marketing should read this e-book as a check list. - When reading it they should implement all the free methods mentioned in the book, this will surely increase the traffic. (Later they can invest in more advanced paid programs, if they want even higher traffic.)
I rate the book as a C but I give it a high B, because of the low price!
askformore's comment on Blogomator ...
Blogomator is a 'timesaver'
I have several WordPress blogs and it is sometimes difficult to find the time to 'feed' them with new content posts etc. Almost a month ago I read about the Blogomator in a forum, and because most of what I read was positive, then I decided to give it a try.
I joined the free membership plan and received a lot of good instructions about how to manage posts on my blogs in a 'time efficient' way. The material that I received was very well written, so therefore I decided to change my membership for a trial month of $7.
I have not yet decided whether I will sign up for a yearly membership plan. There are many good elements in Blogomator, first of all it is a good time saving tool to organize comment posting. You also get access to articles related to your niche; however I am not completely satisfied with the way the articles are written (and if I have to 're-write' them myself, then I know other ways of getting inspired to 'post writing').
Well, I haven't decided yet whether I will use Blogomator permanently. But even so, I can recommend all WordPress bloggers to download the free material, it will give you many tips, and it will make it easier for you to decide whether Blogomator is something for you.
askformore's comment on MyCashPrinter.com ...
My cash printer is a scam!
I am constantly looking for new channels of income, and on my way around I try many different things. One of my attempts was 'My Cash Printer'. Well, it turned out to be a wrong investment.
I bought it because it promised a good income based upon an 'auto pilot technique'. From the style of the 'sales pitch' on the website I was prepared that the promised daily income of hundreds of dollars could be very optimistic; but considering the price I had to invest, then even hundreds of dollars per month would have been OK. And it came with an 100% money back guarantee.
It turned out to be completely worthless. Even the e-mail support was useless, - instead of the promised answer within a couple of hours then my e-mails remain completely unanswered (1 mail asking for some explanation and 1 for money back).
My advice to all is this: Stay away from this scam!
askformore's comment on $365K Blog Traffic Formula ...
Some good ideas, BUT not giving me $365k
I have several blogs, and I wasn't satisfied with the traffic I got to them. Some months ago I bought the e-book $365k Blog Traffic Formula with the hope that the tips from a lot of 'pros' would help me.
The book had a lot of tips, and I liked the idea that the participating experts had to answer the same questions. This structure is much better than the usual informal 'talk at a roundtable'.
So I did get some valuable tips about how to increase traffic and earnings by means of blogging. But the book didn't result in an increase in my traffic that will get me even close to $365k per year on my blogs.
I can only recommend this book to those who are collectors of as many tips as possible. It is not sufficient as the only source of inspiration for the beginner. And the more advanced blogger will most likely know it all already.
(I grade it a C)
askformore's comment on Viral Media Cash ...
The book is good, but it didn't work for me
I shoot and edit small videos and publish them on YouTube. I do this for fun and to share them with friends and family. I don't earn anything this way, so when I heard about Viral Media Cash in a forum, then I got interested and because of the low price I bought it.
The book gives a good overview about the viral media market, and there are many helpful tips. However, it became obvious for me that this is not an easy market to get into. If you are (as I am) a beginner in video making and/or affiliate marketing then you have to use a lot of time to get a good profit.
Even though I didn't earn anything, I am a satisfied customer. The book is OK, it was me who didn't have time enough.
I recommend (B) this book to all who are good at making funny and entertaining visuals. If you have good visual material, then this e-book will tell you how to make money out of it.
askformore's comment on Link2Me ...
Link2me was vitamins for my website
My websites were not performing the way I wanted them to. They had low traffic even after I had submitted them to several directories. So I began to search for several ways to get links.
One of the better methods of link building turned out to be Link2Me.
After I joined there my traffic has increased, and the traffic isn't bad traffic but even traffic that converts for me.
Of course I had to spend some time to find the right 'partners' to exchange my links with; but that is made easy by Link2Me's system.
I also find Link2Me's general information about PR and links very useful.
I can highly recommend owners of websites and blogs to join Link2Me's community. It is great and even free!
askformore's comment on 1 Million Free Ads ...
Can wake up dormant websites
I have many different websites. Some are regular (ordinary) websites, others are blogs, but many are only parked dormant websites.
I do not have the time to breathe life in all my domains the ordinary way, such as writing content or articles etc. So therefore I was searching the net, trying to find good tips about what to do.
I found 1MillionFreeAds and joined as a free member. (I couldn't join with my yahoo mail, but with a gmail).
Well, to begin with I was not very active, so of course the result was not impressive, but when I worked more on it then I received a lot of traffic. It is however my opinion that the traffic is *only* traffic, that is that it will not give you any sales or clicks etc.
I can only recommend this if you have a site with very little traffic, and you want to 'wake it up', and maybe even get a good alexa ranking. When you have achieved that, then you can change/develop the site by making more content etc, and most likely it is then easier for you to get a good PR and earn.
askformore's comment on 5 Bucks A Day ...
I was able to make $5 a day
When I began my business career in Internet Marketing I bought a lot of e-books. Many of them had promising titles about how rich I could become in a very short time (and quite often I was promised to become rich without any hard work). Then I came across a book with the title: '5 Bucks A Day' and I decided to buy it. 5 bucks a day sounded more trustworthy than 5,000 dollars in 'no time'.
I found the material easy to understand and to implement. And yes, I was able to make $5 a day. This success made me happy, optimistic, and encouraged me to be engaged in other realistic ventures.
But in addition to my $5+ per day with this course, then I joined the forum, where I met other people who were aiming at 'success on the Internet'. I can recommend the e-book '5 Bucks A Day' and any buyer of it should even join the forum. It is a good place to get friends and maybe even future business connections.
askformore's comment on Google First Page Formula ...
This book is better than other books that claim to do the same
I had tried many different methods to get on 'the first page' and get more traffic. When I read Google First Page Formula I understood that I had been fooled by other methods that had promised me the same: 'To be on the first page'.
There are many e-books and training courses that promise you that if you follow their 'secret' method, then you will be at 'page number one' in a few days. Most of these secrets will fool you:
What they do is to teach you how to use keywords that (as such) will bring you high listed on page 1. - However, the problem is that those keywords are words that nobody but yourself types into the browser during a search. (In the extreme situation you are the only one who will ever find your site on page 1.)
This is not the case with Google First Page Formula. It brings you on page 1 on a page that also brings you traffic.
I only wish that I had bought this e-book long ago. It would have saved me for a lot of money. - I have registered hundreds of domain names, - unfortunately most of them before I got this book.
The book has a money back guarantee, but I cannot get my money back on several of the 'junkie names' I have registered.
IF you want to be in the domain business of registering (or buying) domain names with the intention of developing the domain/site and later sell it at a higher price, THEN you should buy this book, because it even teach you which names are easier to get listed high by the search engines.
askformore's comment on Internet Money Machine ...
I expect good results from the Internet Money Machine
I have recently joined the Internet Money Machine because I wanted to gain a deeper knowledge of the affiliate market. In particular I want to be able to plan and implement my own campaigns for products on my blogs. I want in the future to do this sort of business, which I find extremely different and more interesting that the usual affiliate business at ClickBank and PayDotCom.
One of my friends advised me to stay away from the Internet Money Machine. My friends argument was that after I had begun the training program, then there would constantly be new costs that I had to pay, - such as the registration fees for new domain names.
Well, I do not see this as an disadvantage. On the contrary I see it as a plus; because I would most likely constantly register new domain names anyway, and to get some guidance about how to find the right names suitable for affiliate business is fine with me.
I was impressed over all the supporting material I received when I started up. I feel I really get value for my cash. I have followed the plan now for one month, and I have an 8 week money back guarantee, but I find it unlikely that I am going to use it.
askformore's comment on You Can Write Articles ...
Good instructions
I bought You Can Write Articles because of the very low price.
I didn't expect a lot, and I knew that I wasn't going to win any literary prizes because of whatever information I would find in the e-book.
But I found more that what I expected. - It is in my opinion a good tutorial that teaches form and content at the same time.
What I mean by 'form' is that in addition to the normal concept of form issues, then this book has some very good points about how to write for the Internet, with all due respect to the search engines.
Finally, I find the this book is well suited for writing for an 'international audience'. The instructions about templates and headlines will work all over the world, whereas some guides about how to write might only give results in the USA, or Asia, Europa, etc.
askformore's comment on Arclicks ...
Most likely a 100% scam
I wanted to tryout several different websites that offered 'pay per action' and I found that Arclicks was one of the more promising ones. I like the idea of different levels of memberships, and Arclicks has 5 different levels.
I almost signed as a silver member because I could see that it would take me a long time to get good results if I only were a bronze member. Today I am happy that I didn't waste any money on that.
I joined the free bronze level in order to see how good or bad it was, and I also wanted to join the forum in order to listen to and participate in the discussions. At first the forum functioned OK. Then it began to be difficult to log in (downtime?). But in the end it appears as if the forum is closed permanently.
I didn't earn very much, so I don't care that I don't get any money.
My recommendation to others is: Do NOT waste time OR money on this scam!
askformore's comment on I5.com ...
I intend to refer this to some friends of mine
I joined I5 because I imagine it will be easy for me to 'recruit' 5 to 6 others, who will want to read advertisements and get paid for doing so.
But before I ask someone else to join as my referrals, then I want to try it myself. It was easy to join as a member. I had some difficulties installing the toolbar (but it was my mistake, because I normally use Safari. As soon as I used Firefox instead it was very easy).
After I have used it for one month, I have now earned $31. I have requested to be paid via PayPal, and as soon as I see my payment I will begin to refer it to some selected friends.
askformore's comment on Earn.bz ...
Who doesn't want to earn?
Well, I want to earn money, so I signed up to 'earn bz'. The main reason I signed up (and began to click on ads) was the fact that 'earn bz' has a very low minimum pay out, (only 4 dollars). So I decided to give it a try.
However, my idea was not to get a career in 'ads clicking'. What I wanted was to try it myself before I invited others to join the attractive referral program 'earn bz' has.
So I clicked and I clicked etc.... When I had reached the level of one dollar I gave up. I realized that that my time was too valuable for this kind of business.
I might get a few followers to join as my referrals, but it is not something I will promote very intensely.
askformore's comment on Super Affiliate Insights ...
Get inspiration from the experts
The e-book, 'Super Affiliate Insights' delivers what the label says. It gave me good insights in what some successful people on the Internet are doing in order to get a high income. It always gives me inspiration to listen to and to learn from the experts.
I am satisfied with what I received, and I find that the price I paid is OK (maybe even cheap) in comparison to the products delivered (I even received some additional free bonus gifts).
Having said that I am a satisfied customer, then I must admit that I personally find it difficult to implement this knowledge into practical actions. It is very inspiring to learn about the success of others, but when it even is 5 different persons who each tell about their specialized area, then I actually get too much information. (Others might think very different about this issue than me.)
I can recommend the e-book, but I see it more as some additional spices (ideas) that can be added to an existing business plan.
askformore's comment on One Week Marketing ...
One week of learning
The One Week Marketing is a very well structured week of learning.
When I bought the course I had already bought and read many other e-books, so I was not a complete beginner. Most of the information that the Pot Pie Girl delivers is (perhaps) common knowledge for the more experienced Internet marketeers, - and I knew about much of her information too.
It is very likely that IF her course had been 'one book' to be read as fast as possible, then I would have 'fast read' it (and maybe even skipping some chapters). And the result would have been that I believed that I 'knew it all' already.
That I followed the course over a week, and each day had a task to do, resulted in something completely different. It forced me to reflect, and even sleep on the information in her course. And in the end I had received many good (new) tips that I could use in my business.
askformore's comment on 3 Hour Ad ...
The 3 Hour Ad took me 3 days
It took more than three hours to make me understand what it really was I had bought. - The reason why it took that long was not a problem with the course. The problem was me!
I am convinced that one of the reasons for my 'misunderstanding' was the low price. - What I mean is that when the price is that low, then your expectations are low too.
For the same price you will quite often receive an e-book, which you can read in 20 minutes or so; and if it is good, then you get and use 2 to 3 ideas. Or if it is worthless, then you call it a scam.
Well, after about 4 hours of studying the course, I was confused.
What was this? Would it work?
The next day I didn't touch any of the material.
On the 3rd day I decided to try again.
And what I did was to force myself to 'forget' everything I knew about the writing process.
I followed the instructions exactly, and Wow!
Now I understood how I could use this. In particular how I could use it to avoid those moments (or rather hours) where my brain was blocking my creative writing.
I recommend this course to all who write.
But follow the course with an open mind!
askformore's comment on Quick Article Pro ...
Quick Article Pro was a big disappointment
When I bought 'Quick Article Pro' I had great expectations.
It sounded as a dream to be able to write SEO friendly articles with good content. In particular if the time I had to spend on each article was so short as the sales pitch claimed.
I also bought Quick Article Pro in a discounted bundle with Quick Article Submitter. - The Submitter had a good list of article directories, but apart from that it was not a 'time saver'. I don't want to submit the same article to several directories.
Anyway the product I was interested in was the 'Pro' as an article writing tool, but that too was a disappointment.
The 'Pro' program was OK to make sentences with good SEO keywords, but the content of the full page was in my opinion awkward, and had to be rewritten.
In my opinion the result could very well be that a page with the content written fast by means of Quick Article Pro would receive many visitors.
But if the visitor read the article then he/she would easily sense that the article was written by help of a 'bot'.
As a result: NO SALE
askformore's comment on Quality Pay Per Click for Beginners ...
Now the product comes with Master Resell Rights
I bought the 6 videos in the product 'Quality Pay Per Click for Beginners'. And I am a satisfied customer even though I have never used the knowledge (which I learned through the tutorials) in the way the course is intended to be used.
I have never bought any ads!
I have only published ads on my websites. However, I do find that the information in the course is useful, for two reasons: 1) It tells me how my customers thinks. 2) The course has a lot of good information about search engine optimizing.
One of the good points in the course is the reminder that we all (advertisers and web masters) from time to time make the mistake to have too many keywords, - the result could be a lot of traffic or impressions but no conversion.
Finally it is now a good buy for marketeers, because the product now comes with full Master Resell Rights.
askformore's comment on International Incomes ...
At first I misunderstood what International Incomes is
I live in Scandinavia, and do business on the Internet, so I am myself 'international'. My first idea was that International Incomes was related to international business or affiliates.
When a friend of mine - (well maybe not really a friend, just someone I know from the Internet) explained to me what is, then I got skeptical at first, for two reasons: 1) I knew very well that he was an affiliate. 2) I couldn't understand why I should pay in order to begin to work for someone.
It is very good that I overcame my skepticism and joined. Now I make a couple of hundred dollars each month, and it is so easy! I even see it as a relief of mind, a pause from my other activities. And I find it entertaining and 'educating' to do the surveys.
I recommend this program to all! Use it as a good supplement to whatever else you do.
askformore's comment on Newbie Cash Machine ...
The Newbie Cash Machine is better than the pack
I have over time bought a lot of e-books and The Newbie Cash Machine is one of the better ones. As the name tells, this book is written for the 'newbies'. It is easily read and understood. This can be said about many other e-books written for those who are new at Internet marketing, but the Newbie Cash Machine takes the reader a step further than most of the books on the market. It is full of advice about what to do in order to become successful, but it even informs about what NOT to do.
The Newbie Cash Machine is good reading for all. The beginner can use it as part of the strategy planning. The more advanced can use it to do a 'check up' and correct mistakes.
askformore's comment on 5 Day Affiliate Blueprint ...
It took me less than 5 days to evaluate this e-book
I bought the e-book '5 Day Affiliate Blueprint' when I wanted to begin to do some affiliate business, - and I wanted to see results as fast as possible. Well, it was not that I expected to earn thousands of dollars after 5 days, but I did expect to learn more about how and what to do in a fast way.
I downloaded the e-book together with some freebies, and all the material was written in a way that I (even as a beginner) could easily read and understand. It didn't take me a long time to read.
After having read it then I took sort of a mental mind break, and I asked myself the question: What had I actually read?
Nothing new! And it hadn't given me any Aha! (Eureka!) experience; and it had not inspired me to put some of the e-book's suggestions into action in my business planning.
I can only recommend this product to beginners, who want a condensed overview of SEO techniques in affiliate business.
askformore's comment on AIDA Profit Formula ...
AIDA Profit Formula for FREE!
I downloaded the AIDA Profit Formula. Well, I had actually decided to buy it, but what happened was the following:
I submitted my name and email address after which I instantly got a One-Time-Offer according to which I would receive 50 Master Resale Products plus a professional written sales letter.
All these products were supposed to have a total value of $4,345 but it was offered to me for $37!
I was instantly convinced that this was a scam, so of course I didn't submit my credit card number etc.
However, when I later looked in my mail box, there it was: The FREE AIDA Profit Formula, a 23 page e-book in a downloadable pdf file.
The 23 pages were easily read and understood, with several examples, even one example of a in-the-end-failed-result' of the A I D A formula, example: 39.3% of the visitors got A=Attention 25.1 I=Intention 6.3 had D=Desire but 0% took A=Action.
It is then explained how to convert those (0%) visitors into customers.
Actually, in my opinion then, AIDA, the keywords Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action is a model that should be kept in mind whenever a website or blog is designed.
Well, what can I say a 23 page e-book with some good ideas for free! I am content, and I don't mind that the pages are full of links to the author's affiliate business.
askformore's comment on InfoLinks ...
I tried Infolinks for two months
I saw Infolinks on one of my friend's websites, and when he explained to me how it worked, then I decided to give it a try.
It was easy to get an account approved, and it was also easy to install the html code on those pages I wanted the ads on. Well, it might be incorrect to call 'Infolinks ads' for 'ads'! The 'double underlined words' are not ads according to the normal definition, the 'double lines' only invites the visitor to take a closer look; - but this was exactly what attracted me (I myself hate those websites that are 80-90% full of ads).
I installed it on some pages where I used to have Adsense ads; so I deleted those because as I understand Google's rules and it isn't legit to mix Infolinks and Adsense. I chose some sites that had some, but low Adsense performance; and then I waited, and I waited - but no clicks!
Then I took a close look at what was actually hidden below the 'double lines' and when I found that those ads weren't interesting then I gave up on Infolinks. (I know very well that the result might have been better if I had tested it on different pages with higher traffic.)
askformore's comment on Affiliate Bully ...
I bought Volume ONE, but never Volume TWO
I bought Affiliate Bully Volume One when I was a complete newbie to affiliate marketing. I had the idea that it would make it easy for me to set up my business.
Well, I didn't find it easy, even though I got a lot of information. It didn't work for me to organize all the information into a practical plan. I did appreciate all the information that I got. But as a beginner, I found it very tough to read. So I cannot recommend it to other beginners.
Whether Volume One is good reading for the more advanced is perhaps also doubtful. Today I believe that an advanced affiliate marketer knows most of the information already, so Vol. 1 might be a waste of money.
I have no idea about the content of Volume Two, but I do not intend to buy it.
askformore's comment on 3 Way Links ...
3 Way Links works in a natural way
I have used Jon Leger's 3 Way Links in a project that I run as a joint venture together with a business associate of mine. In the end the result was satisfying, but we had some problems to begin with.
The problem was that it doesn't work on a Macintosh, and the only way to solve that problem was to reorganize the workload between my friend and myself. - In theory we should have been able to run it on the Mac by means of Apple's Bootcamp and an installed version of Windows on the Mac, but we never got that to work.
We got increased traffic shortly after we began to use the program on a PC, and in the end we were satisfied. Our satisfaction was also based upon the knowledge that all the new links we got were appearing as 'natural' manually placed links to the search engines.
askformore's comment on iBuzzPro ...
Effective campaign with the help of iBuzzPro
In a large project I run together with some friends of mine we were way behind schedule in getting subscribers to our newsletter. So we needed to do something more effective than sending e-mails and placing information in our social networking and various forums, etc.
One of the participants in the sales project came up with the idea of using iBuzzPro's voice broadcasting service.
I and some other of the partners were skeptical and we also imagined that it would be expensive. Well, we were wrong. It is not expensive and compared to the result we got it turned out to be extremely cheap. - I even believe that the future extra conversion rate will be higher than normal because the voice recorded phone calls give more credibility than traditional e-mails.
askformore's comment on Matt Cutts ...
Matt's blog is *the* place to visit and remember
Matt Cutts' blog stands out in the 'jungle of blogs'.
It is so inspiring to read because it is stuffed with valuable SEO information (for free!), - but the reason I like this blog is not only because of all the free 'Google related information'; an even more important reason is the way the topics are presented, AND at the same time I feel that I get to know the *person* Matt Cutts.
Already when I had visited the blog 3 or 4 times, then I had a feeling that he was one one my friends (and one of the friends you would listen to). I have come to know and trust this guy, who tells me all this stuff (and quite often in an humorous way).
Matt Cutts' way of blogging is a reminder to all 'bloggers' that those who visit blogs do not go there in order to read ads or affiliate links. They go there to get information and/or to be entertained - and that is what he provides. And this is proved by the numerous comments he gets to his posts.
The number of comments makes it obvious that I am not the only admirer, and if you have never visited his blog, then do it now!
askformore's comment on SEO Secret Recipe ...
SEO Secret Recipe has no real secrets
When I bought 'SEO Secret Recipe' I expected to get an insight to some secrets I didn't know anything about. - At first sight I got disappointed. Well, it is not a bad e-book about SEO. However, to call it a secret is maybe not 'hype' but at least it is an 'overstatement'.
The e-book is an OK tutorial for beginners and those who are not very experienced in SEO.
In my opinion the user can use it as a 'cook book' with recipes of good SEO techniques, but the useful ingredients are not very secret, - most of the ingredients are in Google's guidelines for webmasters.
The beginners can regard this as a 'two-in-one' because it at the same time 1) gives a good introduction to SEO terms and 2) explains how to use them.
Those who are more advanced can get new ideas, and 'brush-up-reminders'. The e-book points out several things which oftentimes are forgotten. Such as the importance of having good rankings for all the pages of the website (many have the false belief that a high PR on the home page gives high PR to all the pages on the website).
The book is better than the 'sales pitch' which they give on their website. So if you value the book in itself, then it is OK for the price. Whereas you might be disappointed if you believe all the big pre-sale words.
Take for instance the price: They claim that the price is discounted for a limited time, the correct price will soon become $497 - They even justify this higher price with a 'hype' that this (497) price can be earned in ONE day - I find such a claim very hard to believe).
askformore's comment on Average Joe Marketer Package ...
Good for beginners
I bought the Average Joe Marketer e-book because I wanted to begin to make affiliate business at ClickBank. I am very content with the material I received, and that I never used it in relation to Click Bank is another story.
Before I received Average Joe I had registered many domain names, and I had made a common beginner's mistake. I had registered many domain names (mostly . info) in areas that was either extremely crowded or had no traffic at all. The e-book made me realize that the name itself should be targeted to a niche instead of just being (in my opinion) a 'cool' name.
At the time I got Average Joe all my domains where parked (with very little income). The first result of the knowledge I gained from the package was to register new names that were more likely to create profit in the future. The next result was to set up (mini)-sites with targeted keywords in relevant niches, and the guides from Average Joe was a great help in increasing my traffic. I can recommend this inexpensive product to all beginners.
askformore's comment on Paydotcom ...
My first success as an affiliate!
I have joined Paydotcom a little more than a month ago, and for the first time in the affiliate business I seem to have some success.
Before Paydotcom I had signed up with the big ClickB*** but there I never found any products that I liked to market (I only want to market products that I myself would buy, and only products that are somewhat related to some of my sites). - I found it much easier to find products at Paydotcom and I have already had a couple of sales.
Another important reason why Paydotcom is better for me is that they pay via PayPal (I live in Scandinavia and for international business PayPal payments are much easier)
So far I have only marketed electronic products, but I might later on try physical products too. (The reason that I don't do that already now is that I have signed up directly to some other vendors for various products. - I haven't had any sales with them yet, but I will give it a try for a few more weeks)
askformore's comment on Freelance Designers ...
I wanted a logo and some flash on a website
I wanted a logo and some flash on a website, but I myself am not very artistic, and I do not know how to make 'flash'.
A friend of mine recommended Freelance Designers as a good place to find a designer, and even get fine works done at a low price.
I always find it difficult to estimate what any kind of a job ought to cost when I outsource, so I really appreciated that Freelance Designers on the homepage had a calculator that could be used to estimate what a job should cost (i. e finding a price that was fair to me and as well was fair to the designer).
The calculated estimates is based on 'clicks' on the various buttons, specifying how many things you already had, and what you needed to have made. The calculator gives price estimates in three different categories: Professional Companies, Experienced Designers, and Students.
Well, I went wild with the clicks, when I was presented to all these options. And of course the price was way over my budget. So I changed my mind and I didn't even ask for a website with flash etc, but instead I only wanted bids for the design of a logo.
I described my business name etc for the site, and I also indicated which colors I might prefer. In the end I had a very satisfying logo made by a student at a fair price.
I might in the future have a 'big job' made for a 'special blog idea' I have. But so far these plans are on my 'dream board' - but even in this phase I sometimes use the 'estimate calculator' at Freelance Designers to help me making a budget for my 'dream blog plan'.
askformore's comment on Jason Potash ...
Expert of joint ventures
I had seen the name Jason Potash in several different connections, but I had never looked at any of his products. So, before my first 'meeting' with him, then I only vaguely knew that he was an Internet marketer related to article writing, and outsourcing of important tasks by means of joint ventures.
My first 'meeting' with Jason Potash was not as such a 'meeting' but when I bought the book and audio "$100,000+ a Year With Affiliate Programs", then he was one of the seven gurus who were telling about their success stories. He appeared to be functioning as sort of a host, which is not an easy task to be, when the discussion is an open 'round table' discussion between 7 individuals, each of them being successful individuals.
I found that without him the audio might have been very confusing, it was obvious that he has a talent to cooperate with others. So I found it very convincing when he informed us about his personal usage of joint ventures to build strong mailing lists.
This, my first 'meeting' with him, made me begin to follow his personal blog. I find it very interesting and informative about affiliate marketing. The blog is very personal, but without a lot of 'self promoting' hype.
askformore's comment on BeRuby ...
BeRuby is not for me or my network
An Internet friend of mine invited me to join at BeRuby. She was very enthusiastic so I got convinced that this was something for me too.
Of course it was important for me that I didn't have to pay any membership fee etc. And as I do shop quite often on the Internet then this could be OK. Well, after a couple of weeks I have realized that this is not anything for me at all.
First of all, I must say that I never liked the idea of getting payment for reading and clicking on ads (I can earn money faster by other activities). Secondly I didn't find anything I wanted to buy or sign up for. So it meant that the only way I could have any use of BeRuby would be if I convinced many in my network to join.
At this point of my 'BeRuby Experience' I began to read their FAQ some more, and when I read their advice on "how much money I could earn" then I realized that this was not anything for me or my network.
CONCLUSION: BeRuby is a waste of time!
askformore's comment on Jeremy Schoemaker ...
How much should good advice about Internet Marketing cost?
In this spam (and scam) jungle I have found Jeremy Shoemaker (aka Shoemoney) as an exception. I signed up for his free 12 weeks course and I was impressed by all the good and relevant stuff it contained.
All the information is in a 'down to earth' voice. And it is a gold-mine for newbies in the Internet Marketing Show. But even 'old timers' can be inspired, if not by anything else then by Shoemoney's clear message without a lot of BS and 'over selling'. (Quite often free stuff from others are very thin in actual information, but is only a shell for a lot of affiliate links)
Another very good thing with the 12 weeks course is that it is 12 weeks! Others than Shoemoney might send you a pile of e-books and videos, and you get bored before you get to the end of the pile (so even IF volume 5 was good THEN you never get to it).
Of course the 12 weeks period is also an advantage for Shoemoney. It functions as a beginning of a permanent relationship, and most likely those who complete the 12 weeks will later follow his splendid blog. At his blog it becomes obvious how he earns his money, but again there is more information than hard selling.
askformore's comment on Proven Formula to Making $100,000+ a Year With Affiliate Programs! ...
I don't earn $100,000+ But I don't claim my money back
I became of course interested when I heard about a program that would teach me how to earn more than $ 100,000 a year, so I googled the 100000 dollars site. Well, at first I had my doubts, because what was this?
My first impression was that it was a scam that used 'name dropping' of some famous marketers in order to impress me, and subsequently 'take' my money. - But then I realized that this was for real.
What they were selling was an audio (more than 3 hours) and a written transcript of a 'round table discussion' about Internet marketing. The names of the guys in the discussion were well known to me, even though I had never bought any of their products.
The price was not very high, and they claimed that it came with a full money back guarantee (not the usual 30 days guarantee, but even more than 2 years).
What I received was a lot of information, maybe even too much. Also, I didn't find it very well structured; without the written transcript it would be (at least for me) completely useless.
The material is very inspiring, but I cannot transform all the ideas (from the seven experts) into a plan that will make me earn $100,000+ on affiliate marketing.
However, even though this product will not give me this great income, I don't intend to claim my money back. And considering the low price then I rate the product as B.
askformore's comment on 1&1 Web Hosting ...
As a newbie I was a customer at 1&1
My very first attempt to have my own domain and website was troublesome. My very first attempt was a disaster. Maybe I was scammed, or maybe I was (stupid) inexperienced. (It was another provider than 1&1). My second 'go for it' was 1&1 and I still believe that their service is very good for beginners. So even though I don't use them anymore, I rate them as fairly good.
What I wanted at that time was to get 2-3 domain names with websites and one or two e-mail accounts. So as a start I registered a domain name that even came with some limited hosting and 1 email account. I cannot remember how many months the hosting and mail was free, but anyway a deal like that is very good for a beginner who (like I was) is in a 'try-fail-learn' phase.
The service also included a 'site builder' program. But as a complete newbie I had some difficulties; they had a phone call service (even with a free number). However, (and it is entirely my mistake) I live in Scandinavia, so a free number is of no use. 1&1 has European branches, and I was recommended to join there; but in my searching I found something else.
That the 'relationship' between me and 1&1 didn't turn out to be a permanent one is obviously entirely my fault. At first I changed the name servers to another host, and later I even transferred the domain itself. The change and transfer took place with without any difficulties and it is my impression that 1&1 offered a good and honest service.
askformore's comment on Jonathan Leger ...
Jon Leger is a computer whiz with flair for Internet marketing
I follow Jonathan Leger's blog and I am on his mailing list. I find his comments and advice very informative. He is very competent and is not overselling with a lot of hype and BS as so many other in this business do.
I have read about most of his products. However, I have so far only purchased his Niche Horde, which I am very content with.
askformore's comment on Domain Sales Machine ...
The Domain Sales Machine made the positive change
Almost a year ago I started to invest in domain names. To begin with I simply used my imagination and tried to register whatever name I could think of. In my own opinion they were very cool names, and several of them were even .com. :)
So I was very happy; - but my smile disappeared when I began to try to sell some of them (my idea from the very beginning was to have a business where I would buy cheap and sell with a big profit). I ended up having close to 1,000 domains before I realized that most of them were worthless junk.
The turning point was when I found information about the Sales Machine and I bought Mickie Kennedy's guide, Domain Sales Machine.
The guide in itself is very helpful, but I appreciate even more the weekly newsletters, sometimes the newsletter refreshed things from the book, other times it gives new inspiration. Let me explain how it became the turning point for me. Well, many of my names were so hopeless that even Mickie Kennedy's technique couldn't help me, so following his rules, the only solution is to drop them (i. e. not waste money on renewal in case they are not sold for even a very low price). But I did manage to sell several with an OK profit, and it was also a great help for me to follow his advice how to do the sale & transfer with as little time consuming work as possible.
But the MOST IMPORTANT thing I so far have learned from the Domain Sales Machine is how to get (register) new domains with names that easily can be sold with a profit later on. It is actually so simple that in order to sell with a good profit then you must buy the right domain at the right (low) price, and this is also what you learn in this scheme.
askformore's comment on Rich Jerk ...
The e-book is entertaining but not fantastic The hosting service sucks
Months ago I clicked on a Google ad and ended up on RJ's site (The Rich Jerk). This became the start of an interesting journey:
Everyday I received an e-mail that told me how stupid I am and that I would remain a loser forever if I didn't buy his e-book and began training as his course would instruct me to do.
The Rich Jerk would also provide me with a free domain.
Then after some weeks I did two things (I will already here tell you that you should only do one of them)
I did this: 1) I bought his e-book for 10$ and 2) I signed up for a free domain.
I recommend that you buy the book for the 10$ - It is worth the price; and it is not that long either, so it is not a waste of time reading it, even if you don't intend to follow his strategy in your own business.
But I do NOT recommend that you sign up for a free domain; because it is not free! In order to use it then you have to sign you to (his?) web-hosting - And not only is it over priced (I signed up and paid anyway), BUT at least for me it never worked properly, so after 10 days I claimed a refund (which I after some argument got in full)
CONCLUSION:
1) Get on his mailing list and read the insulting (but funny) e-mails - Think of them as part of a course in Internet Marketing (BUT when you read the mails, then consider how to write 'standard automatic' e-mails that are relevant to as many of the persons on the mailing list as possible, because as I see it this is the weak spot in his method. However I can hear him laugh and say: What the f*** I am rich anyway)
2) If 10$ means nothing to you, then you should also buy his e-book
3) Do NOT waste time and money on the free domain he offers you
askformore's comment on Niche Horde ...
It has increased my biz! And at the same time taught me about SEO
I believe that Jon Leger, who created Niche Horde, has done it again! Some people see Jon as an Internet Marketing Guru. The way I see him is as a programmer (or :) a computer freak) who has a very fine sense for how Internet Marketing is made successful. The result is a product that is extremely useful.
I have had Niche Horde for less than two weeks and my profit has already increased. But most of all it has made me understand much more of the importance of selecting the right keywords for my niche - and this is very easy with Niche Horde.
