lowery1101's comment on Prepaid Legal ...
High Pressure Tactics
I joined PrePaid Legal as a representative several years ago after a very high pressure pitch from their representatives. I had to get an insurance license in order to market it in my state. After I had done that, I proceeded to try to make some sales and didnt have much luck. I was pressured a lot to try to sell to friends and family, which I do NOT like to do.
I didnt do very well with this program, probably because I am not very good at direct marketing, but they do have an overall good pay plan and the service is a good one to have.
If you are a good sales person, then yes, I would say you can make some money with Prepaid Legal, although I never did. Just make sure you are comfortable with high pressure tactics, because they definitely push you to use them!
If it hadn't been for the high pressure from the recruiters, I probably never would have joined. It was a complete waste of my time.
lowery1101's comment on HercuList ...
Pretty good list
I've been using Herculist for quite a while now and even though I'm not an upgraded member, I like the ability to email other members with my promotions.
My favorite part of this list is that you don't have to earn credits in order to be able to email to members. With this feature, you can be sure the person who opens your email is actually interested in what you have to say and not the credits located inside.
I'd recommend that you join this one and make it part of your daily advertising efforts!
lowery1101's comment on Croc Ads ...
Use it for getting more hits
I've been using CrocAds for several months now and although it is ok for advertising, it's nothing to write home about.
I basicly use it, along with safelists and ad exchanges to get more traffic to my site. So far, I haven't actually had anyone to join any of my offers thru here.
The points you earn for reading emails from CrocAds don't add up very quickly, so it usually takes a while to earn enough points to actually use the mailing feature.
lowery1101's comment on LinkBucks ...
Too much trouble!
I do a LOT of advertising and joined Linkbucks to try to monetize some of my advertising because there were so many rave reviews about how much money you could make with LinkBucks.
Too much sugar for a dime in my book! It is too annoying to have to cloak your links at the linkbucks site, then post it wherever you will be advertising and as another user mentioned, it is very annoying to my customers. I know that I don't want to be forced to view an ad that I didn't deliberately open myself, and other users feel the same way.
I know a lot of people who use LB religiously, but I quit using it ages ago... and have ceased to allow advertisements on my own sites that use Linkbucks because it annoys my members.
lowery1101's comment on Traffic Now Fire ...
Good advertising medium
I joined TNF basicly for the free advertising. Even though they pay you, the cashout as a free member would be very hard to reach unless you had a very active downline here.
As another user said, it's a good way to get increased traffic to your website and has actually helped with my site's rankings. But if you're looking to make any steady income from here, don't count on it.
I do log in on a regular basis to place my daily ad and have had good results with getting new members for my site from here.
Yes, I'd recommend adding it to your daily advertising list.
lowery1101's comment on TrafficTaxis ...
From someone who DOESN'T like surfing
TrafficTaxis is one of the best out there. I've been a member for several months and as stated above, I don't like surfing! TrafficTaxis is one of the very few TrafficExchanges that I use.
From a surfers standpoint, the 6 second timer is awesome, although as an advertiser, I'd prefer it to be a little longer. But even so, I do get more referrals to my programs from this site than other places and I find myself joining more programs here than in other places simply because there aren't a lot of "fluff" sites here.
I like the fact that David Foley and his team strive to bring us good sites and don't allow advertising by just anyone. That in itself shows that he has his members' welfare at heart. He's NOT just "about the money". So many times when surfing other sites, you find that you are being redirected, or your computer freezes up. That is a VERY rare thing at TrafficTaxis and reported sites are removed quickly!
If you need quality hits to your sites, or you just need a really good place to advertise your referrals links, this is one of the best places online.
The customer service is Top-notch too! You won't find yourself waiting days for a reply to your questions.
The only thing I don't like about TrafficTaxis is that they send a LOT of email. But this is balanced out by the awesome service and the quality of traffic.
I recommend this site highly!
lowery1101's comment on Cash Text Ads ...
Ineffective advertising
This site is one of several that I have been testing for the past few months. Banner advertising here is not effective as most people just log in to earn points and not to find new opportunities.
The solo ads deliver a good bit of traffic, but it is not quality traffic because most of the people who open the solo are not actually reading your ad, they are just scrolling to the bottom to click the credit link.
If you need fast traffic, send some solo ads from here, but if you are expecting signups don't be disappointed when they don't materialize.
lowery1101's comment on Global Test Market ...
One of the best
Of all the survey companies out there, this one is one of the best. They send regular surveys and they DO pay! I've been paid by them twice, and could have been paid more if I didn't get distracted by doing other things and forget to take the surveys! I even did an ongoing survey with them once where they paid me $10 twice a month to test products in my home.
Definitely add this one to your list!
lowery1101's comment on ListDotCom ...
Too much trouble
I joined this site and after joining the first thing I was asked to do was spend $197 for a membership. If I didn't take advantage of this offer, I would be required to pay $79.95 per month for a diamond membership in order to be able to email members more than twice a month.
I was then taken to another page telling me what a mistake I was making by not taking advantage of the $197 offer. The next page proceeds to tell me that I am certifiably insane because I have chosen not to take the offer.
Finally, I am able to complete my signup for free and I proceed to the login page. I can't login! I checked my email for a confirmation letter which I never received. I only received an email welcoming to the site, which I STILL cannot log in to because it keeps taking me back to the join page!
Now, they have my email address and can send me tons of emails that I don't want, and I still can't get in to the site.
Too much sugar for a dime if you ask me.
lowery1101's comment on Snap Dollars ...
Been around a long time
I joined Snap Dollars over a year ago, but have never reached payout with them. I have like $6 in my account and the minimum cashout is $40, plus they charge you a $3 fee to cashout. The cash in my account is for a signup bonus and 21 paid emails that I read.
None of the offers I completed ever credited, so that was a complete waste of time. I need to delete my account, but just haven't taken time to do so. Now, I just deleted emails from them without ever opening them.
lowery1101's comment on Lightspeed Panel ...
I also recommend them
I was a little put off at first because of the "point" system, but quickly realized how it worked. They send interesting surveys and it isn't hard to reach the minimum like it is with some of this type sites.
I've been paid 3 times so far by them, so they DO pay. I don't do surveys much anymore, so it's been a while since I did any surveys with them.
If you have time to sit and complete surveys, by all means, add this one to your list! They are honest, reputable and they pay!
lowery1101's comment on Dollar Surveys ...
Not worth the time
I started taking surveys with this one back in the spring of this year. (2009) I never received a dollar in my paypal for the first survey. OK, so I figured, maybe I misunderstood the terms... so I did some MORE surveys. Then I found out you have to reach a minimum for cashout. (I don't remember what it was and have since deleted my account).
They are making money off of you taking the surveys and then YOU never get any cash in return!
Don't waste your time with this one!
lowery1101's comment on A.W. Surveys ...
Don't expect to be paid
This site is pretty much a known scam to those who work incentive sites.
They offer the $6 survey to begin with then pay you to "review" other GPT sites or trials as another member mentioned. You have to join the GPT sites in order to earn the payment for the review, so they are essentially building their downlines to these programs hoping they will earn some money off of you that way.
After reviewing several sites and watching your balance grow, you think that you'll reach payout soon, but then you run out of reviews to do. I have also spoken with other people who joined, reached payout and had their account deleted, supposedly for cheating and sometimes for no reason at all.
You also can't get a reply from them at all.
Don't spend your time with this one. You won't get paid! You'll just be wasting your time! I give this one a big fat "F".
lowery1101's comment on VemmaBuilder ...
I didnt appreciate all the emails
I joined Vemmabuilder this past January and before a week was out, I was extremely annoyed at all the emails they sent pushing me to take the paid membership.
I also didn't realize it was a MLM company until I'd already joined. Similar products can be bought in most health food stores without spending so much money.
This program costs more to maintain than it is worth.
After multiple requests to cancel, they FINALLY removed me from their mailing list.
If you are a good salesperson, you might want to try it, but it reminds me too much of other programs like Amway, etc, where only the ones who get in first make any big money.
lowery1101's comment on ShadowShopper ...
Not recommended
I joined Shadow Shopper over a year ago and paid the membership fee. Boy was I disappointed! First of all, most of the jobs that you do find prefer experienced shoppers. When I applied for some of the mystery shopping jobs, they all wanted to know what experience I had. Well, duh, none unless you count my 20 some odd years as a consumer... and that didn't seem to count.
You have to fill out a detailed profile about yourself also.
After only a month or so, I canceled my membership and found my mystery shopping jobs elsewhere... without spending another dime.
If you decide to join, DON'T purchase the membership. It isn't worth it!
lowery1101's comment on Deals N Cash ...
Pays more than most per email read
Most of the paid to read email sites I have come across only pay you a percentage of 1 cent. Deals n Cash pays from 2 to 5 cents per email read. Since joining, I have accumulated about $11 and can cashout my earnings at $30. You won't get rich with this program, but you can make a few extra dollars, especially if you can get some referrals working under you.
The site is easy to navigate and gives all information up front.
They also don't spam you with tons of offers like some sites do. You only receive the PTR emails from them several times a week.
If you look at it from a marketing standpoint, you can almost be guaranteed members will actually read your emails instead of deleting them because of the higher payout per click.
lowery1101's comment on Orange Leads ...
I'm back
I joined Orange leads probably about 6 months ago. Like many of the other comments indicated, it is pretty complicated to navigate the site. I got pretty confused so I left and had not been back until recently. I've been working towards building a good list of my own, so I decided to try to navigate Orange Leads once again. This time around, it is even more confusing because of added features that weren't there before, but it does deliver what it says it does. You CAN get free leads and a good many of them are really good ones. I've had several sales from the leads I have received there. If you want easy, go somewhere else, but if you are willing to take the time to figure it all out, Orange Leads is a good source for helping to build your own list. The owner is very willing to help if you just ask. He has always answered my questions in less than 24 hours.
lowery1101's comment on Neverblue ...
Fantastic member support
I just joined this program about 2 weeks ago, and I love it so far. I am just learning how to promote the affiliate programs they offer, so I haven't made much money yet and can't comment on how well they pay, but the support is out of this world!
As a newbie to this type of program, I was clueless about a lot of things, but my manager has been extremely helpful in answering any questions I had. I sent in an email a few days ago with some questions, and I couldn't believe it when my phone rang, and it was my manager on the line! Talk about support! Instead of sending me an impersonal email, he called to make sure I understood everything! I was totally impressed!
The site is very easy to navigate, even for a newbie like me and the campaigns pay top dollar!
I'll be sure to come back and report in the forum thread for this program when I receive my first paycheck from them!
lowery1101's comment on Hits Connect ...
Free? Are you kidding?
I joined Hitsconnect because I was looking for a free adtracker. I joined from another program that was promoting it as a free adtracker. NOT! Imagine my disappointment when I got inside and found that I can't use the tracker unless I upgrade for $19.95/month. Yes, I can use one rotator, but as the user above mentioned, most places that you can advertise won't let you use a rotator, so that is really useless to me.
The site is well laid out, and for an upgraded member, it looks like a really good program, just not what I was looking for.
I know these programs are looking for new members, but I REALLY wish they wouldn't advertise themselves as free programs when they really aren't. It's a waste of my time!
lowery1101's comment on Traffic Era ...
Not impressed with this one
I joined Traffic era and wasn't really impressed. I don't like the surf ratio. It takes too long to build credits in order to get my sites viewed. There are other traffic exchanges out there with a much better ratio than this one. Time is money, and I just don't have time to put in to one that takes forever to earn a decent amount of credits.
Another thing is that they send too many emails. I don't mind receiving emails on occasion from programs I'm a member of, but this one sends too many.
lowery1101's comment on Pepperjam Network ...
Confusing for a newbie
I joined PepperJam network on the recommendation of a friend in the incentive industry. At the time, I was looking to get into incentive marketing myself and wanted to join only the top programs. While PepperJam has a great reputation with incentive owners, I found the website to be totally confusing for a newcomer to the business. If you want to advertise with incentives, there are incentive programs out there that are a lot easier to navigate and are a lot more newbie friendly than PepperJam. Among some of my colleagues, PepperJam does have a very good reputation for making their payments on time. So, if you are NOT a newbie to incentive marketing, I would say to give it a shot. But if you are a newbie, look around for some easier programs first, then when you know what you are doing... give PepperJam a try!
lowery1101's comment on AdsandCash ...
Too complicated?
I joined adsandcash several months ago, basically to get the free advertising that they offer. In order to get the free advertising, I felt like I was having to jump through hoops to get it. I also tried promoting it, but had no luck with getting anyone to sign up. At the time, I was a relative newbie to online marketing, etc so maybe I just didn't try hard enough. After reading the above review, I think I will try once again. As for recommending this program, I really don't recommend it if you're a newbie to internet marketing, unless you really intend on taking time to learn what it is all about.
lowery1101's comment on Cash Solos ...
The name is an attention getter
I joined Cash Solos a few weeks ago because I use a lot of Solo advertising and they offered some great free advertising for joining. When you use Solo Ads to market your products or services, the key is to get people to open and actually read your ads. Just the title of this one is enough to get people to open your ads! Solo advertising has gotten a bum rap from a lot of corners, but I have had a good bit of luck with this site and some of my referrals here at IM Report Card actually came from using their solo advertising. Give it a try!
lowery1101's comment on Paydotcom ...
Too confusing
I also joined this site about 6 months ago and as a lot of other members stated, I found it very confusing. I did try to promote a few products but had no luck with anything. That was possibly my fault, though, since I was a newbie to online marketing. To be fair, I probably should give the site another chance. Mike has a good rep in the business and that is a good thing.
As for recommending this site to anyone else, you really need to spend some time to figure out how it all works, and you need to know a little about marketing before trying to promote any products. If you don't, you'll end up disappointed like I was!
lowery1101's comment on Craigslist Exposed ...
Not worth the money!
I bought it and thought I learned a few things about advertising on Craigslist. This product is worthless as far as marketing my online business. Every single ad I placed was deleted! Don't waste your money!
lowery1101's comment on Robert G Allen ...
Glad I read this!
Thank you IM Report Card for saving me some cash! I have been receiving emails from Robert Allen for quite a while now and was just about to make a purchase of his real estate course. I don't think I want to buy from someone who is in bankruptcy.
lowery1101's comment on Jeremy Schoemaker ...
Very helpful
I recently signed up for the 12-week course and am into Week # 5. So far I have learned a lot and look forward to the remaining tips! I have also tried the affiliate side of the program, but I haven't had much luck with it. I've had a lot of clicks, but no takers. Even in that case, I still recommend it!
lowery1101's comment on GoDaddy ...
So far, so good
I recently began using GoDaddy for my websites. So far, they have been really helpful although the transfers took 5 days to complete. I even had a phone call from them asking if I understood everything. That was a complete surprise and made me much more confident in using their services.
lowery1101's comment on TrafficSwarm ...
My favorite
I have never been big on surfing for credits at Traffic Exchanges, but I surf regularly at Traffic Swarm! Yes, it may take a little while to build up your credits, but those credits give you more actual visitors to your site and more sign ups than any other exchange I have used! I have never upgraded or purchased credits, but I don't need to. I get as many as I want for free by just earning my own credits. I highly recommend this site. It has a high success rate, a good conversion rate and it has been in business much longer than most traffic exchanges.
lowery1101's comment on Twitter List Builder ...
Recommended
I have just started using this program a few days ago and my twitter list has doubled in those few days. It's easy to use and I definitely recommend it!
lowery1101's comment on Shawn Casey ...
Great tips and tricks for you to use
I didn't actually buy his product, but I did sign up for the newsletter. I found it to be very helpful and I have used a lot of his tips and tricks in my promotions of my own website. I would recommend at least signing up for the newsletter. You can always cancel it later if you don't like it.
