moneymaker1008's comment on MyLot ...
Pretty great site
You will not get rich with MyLot. Unless you have a ton of referrals, you will probably not even make any more than $10 a month, at best. However, I really enjoy this site. For me it's like getting paid for something I would be doing anyway because I love to interact and exchange information with others. Since people are being paid to post, they require that the posts are of good quality. Hence, you'll find a lot of great enlightening discussions on nearly every topic imaginable. It's also very active. If you make a post, you'll probably have replies within minutes. Occasionally, I even use it as a substitute for Yahoo! Answers. You can also benefit from it in terms of internet marketing, especially if you have a website or blog you want to link to from your profile. You can also add your blog's RSS feed!
Another way to make money with MyLot is by completing tasks. This program is very similar to Amazon's Mechanical Turk. However, since most of the tasks are posted by other users, they usually do not pay much and involve signing up for various GPT sites using someone's referral links. While I don't think that the money is worth the time it takes to complete these tasks, it is a good way to get you closer to payout.
Basically, I think that MyLot can earn you some extra money, but the main draw is the wealth of information available. It really is the ultimate message board and you can find whatever you're looking for there.
moneymaker1008's comment on Valued Opinions ...
One of the finest
Valued Opinions is a great quality survey panel. They send frequent surveys that pay relatively well, and they are not that difficult to complete. The only real problem that I have with them is that I only qualify for about 30% of the surveys I am sent. However, I still think it's worth my time because I know I will get paid and it is not too time consuming.
They are also a very professional panel and treat their members with a lot of respect. I've never had any problems getting in touch with them. And I haven't had the need to do that often because their surveys tend to run really smoothly.
moneymaker1008's comment on Opinion Outpost ...
One of my favorite survey panels!
This site is great! They send surveys very often (I generally get at least one a day. ) They also pay very well. One time I even got to do a survey where I read a movie script (before the movie was even made!) and received $30 for it. And it only took me about 45 minutes or so to complete! Opinion Outpost also has a very low minimum for cashing out (only $5), so you don't have to wait forever. It's one of my top earners and I usually cash out a few times each month. I should also mention that they have excellent customer support, and any issues I've ever had with them have been resolved very quickly. Overall, this is one of the greatest panels out there!
moneymaker1008's comment on OnlyWire 3.0 ...
Very helpful tool
OnlyWire has made my life a whole lot easier. I just click a button, type in some information, and my latest blog post or Squidoo lens is submitted to tons of social networking/bookmarking sites. And, unlike similar services, it remembers which sites you're a member of so you don't have to fill it out every time you want to submit something.
This is not to say that it doesn't have it's downsides. For one, I am a member of many more social sites that it does not currently provide this service with. However, they have been adding more sites fairly steadily and I'm confident that they will soon have most of the major sites included. Another problem is that a lot of times some of the submissions are denied. I'm not sure what the cause is of this but it isn't too bothersome.
Overall, though, I think the pros outweigh the cons and it is much more reliable than other sites. Anyone who participates in social marketing will greatly appreciate this convenient little tool.
moneymaker1008's comment on Survey Savvy ...
A Quality Survey Panel
Reading through the comments here it seems that a lot of people aren't crazy about Survey Savvy. I, on the other hand, really like them. Although their surveys are not that frequent, they are fast and easy to complete and they pay fairly well. And, in my experience, the more you attempt to qualify for, the more invitations you will get in the future. They also have an excellent referral program which really makes them stand out among other survey sites. You can really earn a lot this way. Overall, I think this is a quality, respected survey panel that is actually one of the better ones out there.
moneymaker1008's comment on American Consumer Opinion ...
Good... but with some downsides
I do really like this one and it is one of the more established paid survey panels out there. They also pay pretty well... when you are able to actually qualify. Unlike most survey sites, they send out a separate screener (and sometimes more than one) before they even start the actual survey. Sometimes these screeners take a while and you do not get paid for them. Sometimes I have even qualified based on a screener and a week later there's a longer follow-up screener that disqualifies me from taking the actual paid survey. It is an awful lot of time just to find out you don't qualify.
So what I've learned is it's best to just do them in your spare time. That way, you don't feel like you just threw your time away and if you happen to qualify, the pay is just an extra perk.
moneymaker1008's comment on Survey Spot ...
Lots of survey opportunities
They send a lot of paid surveys, but most of them are for sweepstakes entries. But it's still a good idea to do them since it seems to help you get more surveys for cash. After doing a few surveys for sweeps, I got quite a few surveys that paid really well. I even got one that paid $6 for 15 minutes!
Overall, it's not the best survey site, but it's definitely worth a try. There are so many survey opportunities that you're bound to qualify for a good amount of them. And it's also very easy to cash out. I'm not sure if there's a minimum, but I was able to request payment when I had only earned $6. Definitely a good source of extra cash in your spare time.
moneymaker1008's comment on Treasure Trooper ...
Not a fan of this one
I’m a member of a lot of GPT sites. And this is definitely not one I would recommend. They’re not awful and they do pay, but it’s really not worth it. They don’t have any unique or exclusive offers. The only thing unique about them is their treasure hunt theme. Also, the site is really confusing and difficult to use. It takes forever to go through offers since they’re not neatly categorized like they are on other sites. And hardly any of my offers ever credited.
moneymaker1008's comment on MySurvey.com ...
This is a great quality
This is one of my faves. Their surveys are generally easy and very quick to complete, especially in comparison with other survey panels. They were also the first site to send me a product to test. It ended up being much easier than I thought and I was well paid for it. In addition, they have a great referral program which I’ve recently taken advantage of. I’ve only gotten a few referrals so far, but I was compensated very well for them.
moneymaker1008's comment on Hits4Pay ...
Frequent emails, but...
This is a good site if you're interested in PTR. The emails are very frequent and pay fairly well. However, one thing that I did not like is that you have to fill out a tax form (including social security number) before you can cash out. I can understand this from some programs, but it's very unlikely that anyone would make $600 in a year from this one. Thus, I don't see why it's necessary to give this information. I discontinued my membership because I didn't feel safe giving them this information over the internet, as it's not entirely secure.
Still, as I mentioned before, it is a good-paying site so if you are comfortable with this aspect, then go for it.
moneymaker1008's comment on Feedblitz ...
Like it quite well
I tried the free version for a few weeks. In my opinion, it's not as good as Feedburner because it's not as easy to configure and can get a bit confusing. But it's still quite good. There are a lot more features, even though I don't think most of them are necessary for the average blogger.
I especially like how it basically gives you some free backlinks, as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find this out when I was checking my backlinks one day.
And the paid service looks very promising if you are trying to run a more professional-looking newsletter. It would also be great for anyone looking to make money primarily off the newsletter alone.
moneymaker1008's comment on MindField Online ...
Reliable but not the best-paying
This is a good legitimate survey site. However, their surveys do not pay that much. For a while I only got surveys for sweepstakes entries. Now I get surveys for cash, but it still isn't much. Most are only for $1. There are a few for $2-3 but I haven't seen any for more than that.
Still, I do like this site. They paid me fairly quickly. They also have a very good referral program. Overall, it's not the best but it's still a good one to add to your line-up of paid surveys.
moneymaker1008's comment on Survey Monkey ...
Great professional tool
I've used the free version and found it very helpful. It has great features for customizing it to your own needs. I've used it to learn more about what people in my niche market were interested in hearing about. I definitely think that it led to more traffic in the long run. This tool is also pretty professional-looking, compared to other similar services. I've even seen quite a few established paid survey panels using it! I highly recommend it.
moneymaker1008's comment on OpinionBar ...
It needs to be worked on
When I first signed-up, I thought their surveys were pretty decent and I liked them fairly well. However, a few months ago I noticed that there was a problem with their security certificate on some of the surveys. I immediately left the site because I didn't want my information to get stolen. Still, I don't think this was their fault and I would be willing to give them another go in the future. They just need to improve their site first. I'd give it a few months. Basically, if you join, just be careful and pay attention to anything strange you come across.
moneymaker1008's comment on NPD Online Research ...
If You Don't Mind Working For Free
After all these years, I still have trouble understanding why this is one of the most respected survey panels out there. A few years ago, pretty much every survey panel switched over to concrete incentives, like cash or prizes. NPD, on the other hand, has not offered me a single survey that was not for sweepstakes. And it is fairly difficult to win the sweeps considering how many people are doing them. However, if you're one of the people that would prefer the chance to win a lot of money over definitely getting a few bucks, NPD is a quality site.
moneymaker1008's comment on memolink ...
Not recommended
Let me start by saying that it took forever to reach payout! However, when I did, they did pay me. They are a legitimate site even if they are not always well-funded. And I was excited to get money-back for getting my Netflix subscription through them. Still, it was a waste of time, as it took me nearly two years to cash out! But if you're looking for cash-back shopping, this might be a good option for you.
moneymaker1008's comment on Survey head ...
Pretty good panel
They're not the best, but I really like them! They even pay you a good amount just for completing your member profiles. Some of the surveys pay really well, but others are just average. Most of the surveys are ones that are available on almost all survey sites, so if you're already completing them on another site, you can't fill them out here too. But at the same time that means there are new surveys every single day! I didn't find it that difficult to reach payout.
moneymaker1008's comment on Clicksia ...
One of the worst PTC programs I've ever joined!
I'm not a huge fan of PTC sites to begin with. But this one pays less than half of what the other sites I'm a member of offer! I got fed up with it after the first few ads I clicked (after 5, I still hadn't reached 1 cent yet!) I would only recommend this to people who don't mind wasting their time for months on end in order to earn a measly dollar.
moneymaker1008's comment on AglocoMails ...
Cancelled my account
I just got an email from them saying that they cancelled my account and were canceling all of the accounts that have not been active in the past 3 days! That's right, no warning or anything! But to be honest, I'm almost glad they canceled my account because looking back at their policies, they are nothing but a scam! I must not have read all the information upon joining, but when I got around to it I found that you have to reach $20 million before you can cash out! Obviously there's no way you can make that much! Stay away from them.
moneymaker1008's comment on Pingler ...
Pretty darn good
I used to rely on Pingomatic religiously. But then I found this site. It has so many more sites that you can ping to. And I do like how you can add your own. I also like how it displays the most recently pinged feeds on the main page, which is basically free advertising. The only thing that I can really complain about is that their interface isn't nearly as user-friendly as Pingomatic, but I'm more than willing to look past that.
moneymaker1008's comment on Bux.to ...
I don't trust them one bit
I tried this site when I first started getting into making money online. Since I didn't really know what my other options were, I diligently logged in every day and wasted my time clicking their ads. I quickly cancelled my account after getting a tip from a trusted friend who was not paid by them. While I know that some people have been paid by them, there are many who have not. They are not being upfront with their members and they are very misleading, especially at sign-up. After trying many other similar programs, I have learned not to trust any sites with "bux" in the name (except Neobux. ) While I'm sure that some of them are legitimate, the majority of them are not and it is not worth sticking around to find out.
Basically, don't waste your time. Even if you get paid it will take forever and it is definitely not worth it.
moneymaker1008's comment on Snap Dollars ...
Don't bother with this one
The first thing I noticed after signing up was that the site seemed a little shady. I couldn't get any responses to my questions. I also doubt it's legitimacy and I have been spammed by them a lot. (I used a separate email only for this program so the spam could not be coming from anywhere else. ) In addition, you will not make money with them. Compared with other GPT programs, they have only a small fraction of their offers available. And, out of the ones I did, none of them ever credited.
moneymaker1008's comment on Pinecone Research ...
In My Top Two Survey Sites
I absolutely love Pinecone Research. They are top-notch! Their surveys are frequent, fairly easy to complete, and pay very well. I have qualified for every single one so far. Some of them are pretty short, too, so sometimes I will earn $3 for less than 10 minutes of my time! I joined about a month and a half ago and have earned almost $30 so far! I can't think of a single negative thing to say about them. Piece of advice: make sure to opt for Paypal payments. Otherwise, you might be getting several $3 checks each week.
moneymaker1008's comment on Matt Cutts ...
An amazing resource
I always tell people about this guy because he is the best resource out there! Not to mention, he is one of our few realistic insights into the secretive world of Google and what criteria they use to formulate their rankings. Like others have stated, he does offer some valuable hints, which you will notice if you read regularly. Also, if you are able to get him at a time when he is not too busy, he is more than willing to answer a question or two. I even know some people who have gotten one-on-one help from him for free. He's a great guy and all a website promoter could ever hope for.
moneymaker1008's comment on Matrix Mails ...
Found it confusing
I tried this site a few months ago and, while there's no doubt in my mind that it's legitimate, I couldn't quite get the hang of it. I've used very similar sites in the past, but I found the interface on this one very confusing, especially the on-site inbox. Plus, it took me forever to figure out simple functions like how to unsubscribe from their notifications. But I should add that if I hadn't had these problems, I would have probably stuck with them because they seemed to have great paying offers.
moneymaker1008's comment on StatCounter ...
Not as good as Google Analytics
I used this program when I first started blogging and, at first, I loved it. But it really didn't seem that accurate when compared with other stats programs I was using. Also it was more difficult to see where the traffic was coming from. Google Analytics is free, more accurate, and unlimited. I definitely wouldn't go back to StatCounter.
moneymaker1008's comment on ShareAsale ...
Not a great selection
I did not like this site. There are not enough quality merchants to work with. I could only find two that were relevant to my niche, which is making money online so I think many here will find the same. I discontinued my membership because it would take me forever to cash out with only those programs. The only positive thing I can really say is that the merchants that I did find were friendly and accepted my site very quickly.
moneymaker1008's comment on Global Test Market ...
Not one of my favorites
I know that a lot of people like this site, but I haven't had much luck with them. In almost a year with them, I have only qualified for one survey. I know this has to do with demographics, but my demographics are pretty average and I qualify for a lot of surveys on other sites, such as Lightspeed, Opinion Outpost and various others. I have started ignoring their invitations because it just isn't worth the time and effort.
moneymaker1008's comment on Lightspeed Panel ...
Easy to Reach Payout
Lightspeed used to be one of my favorite survey panels. I still really like them because I almost always qualify and the points rack up very quickly. I've been paid twice so far through Paypal. However, my problem with them is that their support team has never been reliable. There have been several surveys I have taken that have not credited because of a technical problem that arose after I clicked submit. I contacted them about it with all the proper information, including some screenshots, proving I took the surveys. I never heard back and the problem went unfixed. If it weren't for how much money I make there, I wouldn't stand for it.
moneymaker1008's comment on Fusion Cash ...
Awful Support Team
I had heard that this site didn't have a good reputation and I quickly found one of the reasons why. Within three days of signing up and using the site, it would no longer let me log in. I checked to make sure I had the right information and it still would not work. I contacted their support team and waited two weeks. No response. I tried one more time and still did not hear anything. This was over five months ago. Never heard from them again.
moneymaker1008's comment on ZoomPanel ...
Decent Way to Earn Some Free Stuff
The prizes aren't great and it does take a long time to rack up a decent amount of points. That being said, I really like this site. The surveys are usually pretty short and they send them very often. I usually get at least one or two each day. They also give you 5 points even if you don't qualify for a survey.
Although I should also add that some of the surveys require special software to watch videos. They do not do a test to check whether you have it the way other sites do. So you might get halfway through a survey only to find out you can't continue. Plus, it is not the standard video software, as my computer has never had problems with any videos before.
