realplayer54's comment on Instant Buzz ...
My introduction to toolbars
This was the first time I ever remember hearing of using a toolbar to make money. Thanks to them I have been reluctant to try them ever since. This program was a total waste of time and made it sound like I would just easily get hundreds of thousands of hits because everyone around the net would see the toolbar and my advertisement. I had to be a master marketer to even dream about sniffing 1000 visitors let alone 100,000 or more.
Don't these people understand that if I were that good at marketing, I wouldn't need them? Better yet, if I were that good it would be even MORE of a waste of time to use Instant Buzz.
realplayer54's comment on Hits2u ...
I joined this two or three different times
Each time I joined this or just continued what I started, I thought I "understood" the program enough to work it because of the marketing knowledge I gained since then. Didn't matter. No matter how much they tried to make it sound easy, the bottom line is you get NO results unless you advertise the site yourself and do it well. I personally never thought the ads on the side got anyone's attention anyway, so what makes anyone think that you would need any less than about 1,000 visitors a day to see any results?
The programs they've added since I last joined are simply along for the ride. They don't make Hits2u any better or easier.
realplayer54's comment on Referral-Secrets ...
This is why people are skeptical about spending $7
Seven dollar books like this are always hit or miss. This one only has seven pages of information that most already know about. It is very poorly written and doesn't get into detail about anything. When I got to the part about making a text ad, his advice was "make it attractive!". Wow. This is the first time I've ever felt totally ripped off after spending only $7.
It would be OK if the info was at least good and/or detailed, but instead he glosses over everything and seems to be in a hurry catch a date. What a waste.
realplayer54's comment on Adland Pro ...
The free features are kind of lame
This was somewhat confusing when I joined some years ago. It was mostly because I wasn't getting any traffic, but also because it was free. Trying to access all the free features is nerve-wracking considering that I couldn't track the hits I was (or wasn't getting). It looks like the site may have changed slightly from when I first joined (I joined again less than a year ago), but I still found myself having to upgrade if I really wanted to do anything effective. The concept is good, but the results make this no different from any free classified ad site if you choose not to pay anything.
You might as well just upgrade if you join, unless you're planning on quitting your day job.
realplayer54's comment on All Solutions Network ...
Very confusing and annoying
I joined this site thinking I would make an easy income, even if I didn't believe it would be enough to amount to anything. I haven't made anything and it was a huge mistake when I was inactive for a while because I couldn't find my way back to the terrible instructions.
Anyway, what I did eventually find out is that you basically have to get people to buy from your store or do it yourself to make "points" which can be converted. I'm sure if you're a frequent internet shopper (I don't know ANY) you can make something with this, but even then not much. I make more with PTR email sites than this.
realplayer54's comment on Freelance Home Writers ...
Really high price for the service
This is kind of like "survey" package sites where you're just given a collection of sites for a price, only in this case it's monthly. The product is great: a nice looking website with about seven different sections laid out and access to the freelance sites (there's always some kind of upgrade of course). My question is how is this worth $37 a month (it was about that much when I did it about a year ago)? The info is valuable, but not THAT valuable. I can read through it all pretty much before the seven day trial is up and it won't take more a month to absorb.
To top it off, all you really have to do is bookmark the websites they give you in the trial and you really don't need it afterward because there are only so many quality freelance sites to chose from, especially back then. They do give you only the best sites though.
realplayer54's comment on Rainbow Marketing System ...
Not what I thought
It's nice that you can advertise to everyone who joins after you, but the manner in which the emails are received is almost like I joined for free. Your inbox fills up and overloads in no time, making it obvious how little views my own ad would get. The banner rotation is nice because of the size of the banners and it's good they appear at the top and bottom of the page. As for the text ads, they are way more eye-catching than the emails if they are interesting enough, but they're still pretty ineffective since they only go to those who join after you (you're competing with your massive upline).
It sucks that you have to refer someone to this in order to mail the external system because it reminds you of how hard it is to actually make people pay for a product that appears too good to be true.
realplayer54's comment on Ewen Chia ...
Must be doing something right to be around this long
Everything I have ever gotten from this guy for free has just been OK. I got a website builder and some Adsense advice. It all looks nice and are good ideas, but the technology itself is so-so. Also, I have reason to believe that his ideas aren't totally his originals, hence why he sells it for free. Not only that, he gives away these free things so he can give exposure to his other products. That's fine, but it makes me wonder even more where he gets his "free" information.
His website builder is very limited, but it helped to build one site pretty well. The video about building an Adsense blog I'm thinking I got too late because the advice is totally worthless unless you are a master at Google Hot Trends. So yeah, he's OK. His instructions sound different than his videos where he's actually talking to the camera, by the way. Just saying.
realplayer54's comment on Data Money Online ...
Close this site already!
There is not one positive review of this program and it has a D-? How? In my experience, it put $197 on hold and then it took it out. It promised that I would start earning immediately and put only a few dollars in my clickbank so I wouldn't call them liars. I didn't even know they had a clickbank commission that low!
Somehow this site has stayed around without even waiting for a month trial to scam you. They're not even sneaky, just blatant. It's amazing that the only experience that anyone can describe on this board stops at the payment page. This guy's another Bernard Madoff in the making.
realplayer54's comment on Stephen Pierce ...
Saw his seminar videos
I did a month trial on one of his products and I was very impressed. The videos took you step by step through the process and don't assume anything. There will always be special situations, but if you need assistance other than that, you're not paying attention.
In his videos, he talks about how he started with the program, how it works and testimonials. For those of us who have seen it too many times, the video seminars are familiar, but are perfect for those new to marketing(internet or otherwise). As for the training, videos guide you verbally and visually through the course and they are broken into about four or five minutes apiece on average, making it easy for anyone. Great job Stephen!
realplayer54's comment on Revenue Magic ...
Do only this and you should be fine
If you try to supplement this program with other traffic exchanges, you will probably be on the computer all day every day. The surfing you have to do to get credits is way too long to say that you need at least 500 to really advertise anywhere. Being as this is mostly advertised alongside other programs, I shouldn't need practically half a day to get to 500 credits, which I do. That wouldn't be that bad if there wasn't a ratio of at least 3:1 for free members.
As usual, the best benefits are for the upgraded members, but this site will get you plenty of viewers to help your page rank if you stick to it alone. If you want conversions, however, you may have to quit your day job and work. Your product better be worth it.
Sorry, IM Report Card, I meant to give this a C but clicked the wrong letter by mistake. :)
realplayer54's comment on LinkReferral ...
I like it anyway
I didn't work this enough to complain about not getting any conversions, but I love the exposure my sites get. You can only review so many in one day, but the one day I did reach the maximum, the credits I earned exhausted that same day. That usually doesn't happen on other sites as the views come very slowly.
This site is actually fun to work. You can change the website you're promoting any time you want and it only takes less than a few hours. The downside is that when you review sites, others can read the review and respond to it. I've already had one guy write a negative review in response to my negative review. They could stand to fix that problem. Other than that, it's a good site.
realplayer54's comment on Adsense Business In-A-Box ...
Needs to be updated
I got this software sometime last year and it dated back to 2005. Sure, the info is somewhat universal and it's not really made to do anything else but help with your Adsense revenue, but they could at least attempt to make the sites look more appealing. It's really just a blog with Adsense ads that you can do yourself on certain article and blog sites.
Once you have set up the websites, however, you will need a domain for all 155, or however many you need. It's doubtful that anyone will have to use more than a third of these, unless you want to make a full time income with Adsense. Overall, this program is ineffective without dedicating some ten hours a day to it.
realplayer54's comment on Paydotcom ...
Better than clickbank in a lot of ways
I have been paid on time, every time with Paydotcom. The vendor also lets me know when he had a new product he was going to launch as well. The only problem I have is the limited selection and the updating of the products. Some of those products don't sell at all but continue to be advertised without improvement. I tried to look for a product that I could get the highest conversion with, but it was the same ones that I knew for a fact declined severely in popularity.
I wouldn't say it's better than Clickbank since Clickbank has a much more expansive collection and advanced features, but that's the ONLY reasons why. Paydotcom has simple features that make it a formidable foe for other affiliate programs: being paid via Paypal and being able to track the hits to your affiliate link. As long as they keep those two features and keep up the good technical work, they will survive.
realplayer54's comment on PPC Web Spy ...
Well, it is free
I tried this out because I thought it would enable me to destroy my competition in Adwords, but instead I have to probably upgrade for that to happen. The free version basically tells you all the junk keywords the advertisers used for that ad, you can tell by the price and the relevance of the keyword. I viewed the keywords for one of the niches and all they gave me were proper names!
I'm sure if I upgrade it's great, but don't lie and say you're giving away virtually everything for free. Most people don't realize how valuable something like this is (so they'll think the creator doesn't know) and will probably waste money on Adwords thinking this will solve everything.
realplayer54's comment on AWeber ...
Only used this for about a month
What a great experience this was! Great customer service, easy to use, and it's great to look at. I used the web form to build to get signups not knowing that I would build a ridiculous email list from it! I didn't use the list, but it was so convenient how I kept getting notifications every time someone would sign up.
The program is famous for it's autoresponder which I never used but really wanted to because of how accessible they made everything and I knew I wasn't going to regret it. You can check the site for stats and can even talk to an agent through live chat, which is a feature I used to cancel(I had no problems with that either). I also love it when people who I signup under use this service because it's easy to unsubscribe ;). Aweber is the best out there.
realplayer54's comment on Business World List ...
Wish I knew how to work this better
If you have a really good product and really effective emails to sell it, Business World List is the best safelist for you. I paid the $12 for the upgrade to email the entire list of nearly 100,000. Each email that I sent every 48 hrs got an average of only about eleven clicks(that's not everyone who opened the email, just everyone who clicked on the link), but I averaged about two conversions! What I was selling was really cheap so I didn't need the most fancy email, but I would love to find out how to write one anyway.
The "Ad Announcements" are a disappointment mostly because of the incentive clicking, but the safelist is what you upgrade for.
realplayer54's comment on Ad Ventures 4U ...
Surprised this is still around
This used to be one of the hottest revenue sharing sites around, but seems to have fallen on hard times. I invested a minimum $10 into this expecting to surf the 20 or so sites a day and get returns on it. It's already bad enough that you will more than likely have to surf for at least about three months to actually start profiting off of your initial investment, but then in the middle of it all they completely changed the site and I have yet to get the payout request I requested.
Right now they have a "points" system instead of straight cash and have been in delay for the last three months at least. It's no wonder this site was taken off the list of "paying" sites. It's a shame, too, because everyone loved this program.
realplayer54's comment on GOT Safelist ...
Can't say it's the best safelist
My main problem with this site is that your ads will get exposure because people get an incentive, points, to click on your ad. This definitely gets you more clicks than the average safelist, but the points system usually means that everyone is only focused on trying to get credits for themselves. It's already a huge positive that you need two different addresses to make sure the solo ads go to the one that you use, so who needs points? So far these points haven't helped me in conversions at all. Also, the visitors aren't as frequent.
realplayer54's comment on My Instant Biz ...
Simply too much competition
Usually, there is a splash page on an ad to make sure that if the customer enters their info get started, the likelihood of them actually going through with the program increases. My Instant Biz takes it to a whole other level. There are nearly ten splash pages before you finally start the sign up process! It worked for me because I signed up, but when I remembered how many times I saw this in Traffic Swarm, I was already reluctant. When I worked the system they said to work, I found out that practically half of the ads in the My Instant Biz surfing programs are "My Instant Biz".
As I discovered, the competition is way too much to expect any signups, especially when it comes to making money from this program alone. If you work this, you had better have a LOT of free time.
realplayer54's comment on Bum Marketing ...
This works good enough
The important thing is that I learned how to get indexed on the search engines, especially Google, without needing to build a website. The techniques work, and it only takes less than hour to apply depending on the niches and keywords you choose. One problem though is that some of the recommended article sites like Ezine Articles and Wordpress are a little too complicated even for an intermediate(!) and Blogspot rarely ever gets indexed.
The hardest part about this is actually selling through your affiliate links. You need a LOT of hits to actually start making money off of this, but that's where you yourself have to be more creative.
realplayer54's comment on $6 by Six Million ...
Most people just won't fall for this
I first bought this about five years ago thinking that it was the most brilliant idea. I paid the extra ten dollars or so to have them set up the whole thing for me. The only way I got any sales was doing an email blast to a list of about 100,000 that was given to me. Overall, before Paypal banned it, I got about 4 sales off this. Needless to say, my efforts to advertise after that yielded no results.
I think people just think people are just too trained to reject pyramid schemes. If you're going to advertise this(you have to do it with Alertpay now), make sure it's REALLY inexpensive if not free.
realplayer54's comment on Cash1234 system ...
I love this program!
This a simple system. It shows you how to make money to use on the most surefire investments. It has changed over the years, but that remains it's mission.
At first, you used casino strategies with extremely high success rates and use the winnings to invest in autosurfs, which are obviously a thing of the past now, but revenue sharing sites are sort of a form of that now.
Now, you take the profit you get from Forex trading, one of the most profitable practices nowadays, and use it for betting on a sports arbitrage model in which you are heavily favored.
This is just a great idea and was $7 at first, but they've upped the ante to $12 probably to get affiliates more per sale. I liked getting the money from the casino itself, so much I didn't worry about the next step, but to each his own!
realplayer54's comment on Squidoo Queen ...
Rehashed information, but some extras
I tried this method and have yet to get any of my lenses significantly indexed on the search engines or Squidoo itself. Only one of them has even been picked up by the search engine(that is, will at least show up if I type in the title with quotation marks). Some of this is somewhat rehashed from other sources like Bum Marketing and I already knew it.
There is also a bonus offer of some articles that you could use that I wasted nearly $20 on. They were completely worthless and left nothing to the imagination. There was some good information here, but I honestly don't think it's worth the near $30 price tag unless you count style points.
realplayer54's comment on Spiderweb Marketing System ...
I got signups on Google Adwords, but that's it
All of the testimonies were about how everyone spent less than $20 using Google to advertise and made it back and then some. The problem is that after they sign up, they have to join the programs(some free and some not, but all are inexpensive). This is more than likely not something that everyone is going to do immediately after joining, which runs the risk of them never doing it.
Not only do I have these same nine members who haven't completed a thing, I haven't gotten anyone else to even enter their email address. This is a great idea, but simply is too much work for the average person. I myself took about a week before I actually got started. And this is with just the free programs!
Two of the programs in this system you absolutely have to pay for to join. I can't imagine them being worth it since not only is it money but extra "work". People just aren't that patient nowadays. I haven't made a penny with this program.
realplayer54's comment on Money Siphon System ...
Once again, Google isn't having it
This guy's technique to dominate Google is useless because more than likely Google saw that it worked and cracked down on it. It might be possible that there are other techniques and advice that might work that I haven't gotten to yet since there is a lot of stuff, but what I have used for SEO and Google Adwords has proven totally worthless. Besides, these are supposed to be the techniques that make your money back that you spend on the software, so really I've tried the main moneymaker technique. Haven't made a dime.
realplayer54's comment on Copy N Profit ...
Yeah, pretty worthless
It's only natural that this product would fail after the first hundred or so purchases because then everyone would be using the methods. I took that risk thinking I could get at least what I paid for the program and what I pay for Adwords. I got nothing and have now spent over $100 dollars on Google. That is enough for a D, in my opinion, but it gets an F because they haven't even tried to update it and I don't think they ever will.
realplayer54's comment on Go Articles ...
My articles stay on Google
This is a great site because all you basically do is write an article with no graphics, no filler and it gets indexed on Google usually in less than 48 hours. This is a perfect alternative to more complicated article sites. Of course, your material has to be original to be indexed. If your article is low quality, not only will it not get indexed, but depending on how bad it is, it can also get reported by a member and therefore deleted.
realplayer54's comment on WorkFor3Dollars ...
Pretty good model
I've been a member of this site since late June and haven't really advertised it much at all. I have so far reached payout twice, about $8 overall. What's even better is that only one dollar of that came from someone I recruited. The rest was the work of that referral and his referrals' referrals. I was fortunate to get referrals like that with so little effort, but that proves this programs worth to me. I can honestly see making a reasonable extra income with this when I really work it, but ONLY extra. Don't quit your day job.
realplayer54's comment on Free Lunch Room ...
I've been a member now for about a year
I'm torn on this one. It's a great way to make extra income, period, to be sure. Those who are brand new can make a few hundred or more in their first month and will need at least $20 or so to cover all of the trials and shipping and handling charges(total). What can I say? I needed some quick cash last Christmas and Free Lunch Room delivered.
The only reason I don't give it an A is because of consistent income. You can do pretty hot in the first couple of months, but after that requires a little good fortune. Dishonesty and laziness is what is hurting this system. In fact, I haven't worked Free Lunch Room in quite a long while.
realplayer54's comment on Get Google Ads Free ...
Let's get this straight, I made no money with this
However, the information is valuable and is a good idea for any business or income model.
The main idea of this e-book is the idea that you don't have to pay anything for Google Ads. The idea is that you can basically use Google's postpay method to "run up the tab" on Adwords and by the time you have to pay, you will already have profited on Google. I give that idea an F. My tab ran up over $500 over about 4 or 5 days and then stopped. I didn't get one sale of the e-book itself, nor did anyone buy ad space on the page. The author said that it took him eight days and like $80 a day. Google doesn't let you go passed $50 nowadays. This product is the definition of "results may vary".
I gave the e-book a C because the idea of selling ad space and other tidbits of info were pretty brilliant, and it seems through research it was original on his part. However, it didn't deliver on it's main selling point for me, so it's overall a failure, but I'm sure he'll be updating it soon. This I gotta see.
