Greenfield Online Description

Greenfield Online is a long standing and very well known membership program run by CEO Albert Angrisani that pays its members to take surveys provided by various participating companies. Compensation for taking surveys can be cash, sweepstakes entries or prizes. Members can take surveys through the program any time that they want.

Greenfield Online Detailed Overview

Greenfield Online does not charge anyone a fee to join their survey program, which puts it in a good category right away. This is not the only thing that people look for in a program that pays people to take surveys, however. They look for how participants are paid for taking surveys, what incentives they are given and what the program track record has been over time.

The Greenfield Online program offers cash, sweepstakes entries and prizes for taking surveys. You are told ahead of time what your compensation will be for a survey. Unfortunately, you can answer quite a few questions before they end up telling you that you do not qualify for a survey. Though the program will still give you entry into a sweepstakes even if you do not qualify, it can be disappointing when you were expecting to get $3 added to your account.

There is a user-friendly process for requesting payment from Greenfield Online, and apparently they don’t have a minimum cash-out amount. Payments come by check, and can take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. The program offers a community forum where members can chat, compare notes and network with each other, which helps to make it a more pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

There is no investment involved in taking surveys through Greenfield Online, except the investment of time, and it is always up to you to decide when you want to take them.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Greenfield Online Reputation

Greenfield Online has been around for quite a long time, and the majority of feedback seems to be good. It should be noted that a few people have complained about waiting months for payment. Other people say that they’ve been happily making money through this program for years. It’s a free program to join, so it can easily be tested.

Do not pass go

I have had quite a frustrating personal experience with this site, known to me as CIAO. I have received many invitations to surveys but on only a few occasions have I ever actually been able to complete them. The main problem has been getting past the identifying page requesting confirmation of identity ie. Are you----? When clicking the affirmative there is no continuation to the next section. I am literally left with my cursor spinning. As far as I can tell it is not the original link to the survey, cookies, pop ups, java script or browser related as I have tried all these and it occurs with many different survey topics. I might also add that there has been a deafening lack of response to my messages to their help section.

Many Sweepstakes Entries, No Qualifying Surveys

I joined Greenfield Online when I began trying different survey sites. The fact that it is free to become a member of this site was quite appealing to me.

Greenfield offers sweepstakes entries even if you do not qualify to complete the entire survey. Unfortunately, you can be well into taking the survey, think you are going to complete it and get paid, then, be told that you do not qualify. To me, this aspect is quite frustrating.

In the year I have been a member of this site, I have never been able to complete even one survey. This is very frustrating to me. I am not sure what the sweepstakes offers to the winner, but I can say that I have never been the lucky winner there either.

Not a bad survey site but can be frustrating

I think Greenfield Online is a trustworthy survey site, but you definitely have to be a patient person to stick it out with them.

I have been a member of Greenfield Online for almost a year now. Over the past year I have been sent a wide variety of surveys from them - which is great! The frustrating part is that about 1/2 way through the survey they tell me "oh you didn't qualify". What a bummer! You're entered to win a sweepstakes, but we all know that never happens. So it was a total waste of time! More often than not I find that I don't qualify for surveys. For this very reason I often ignore emails from Greenfield.

If you're patient and don't mind weeding through the "bad" surveys that you won't qualify for, then it might be worth giving it a try. Otherwise, don't waste your time. If you're like me - your time is precious and you want to spend it taking surveys you know you're going to qualify for and earn money on!

Enough possibilities but not many money

I joined Greenfield O. R. about one and a half years ago. And I stopped about half a year ago.

So I was only with Greenfield for one year. It's a decent site, well-built and mature, But their system is just not for me.

I completed a paid survey only after 4 months of membership and screening surveys and loads of sweepstakes entries.

And until now, I just made some 8 dollars. They surely pay, but I think there is just a very bad ratio between the time you put in it and the money you get from it.

A Waste Of Time

I've been a member of Greenfield for several months and have yet to qualify for a survey. As has been stated already, a lot of time is spent answering questions only to find out I don't qualify for the survey. Frankly it makes me wonder if they're asking the questions they want answered and then telling me I don't qualify so they don't have to pay me. It doesn't cost anything to join but there is a huge investment of time that is very valuable to me. I have found Greenfield to be an enormous waste of time for nothing in return except entries in some obscure drawing that the odds of winning are astronomical. Unless you like taking surveys and entering sweepstakes, my advice is to not waste your time with this site.

The Website's fine if you're OK with Sweepstake Entries!

Since joining them almost 3 months ago, all I've gotten is $6. And loads and loads of 'Sweepstakes Entries'. Have I won any? Duh. No.

But one of the positive things about Greenfield is that they have loads of surveys to complete, if you compare the number of surveys with other websites. It means that they must have loads of Partners, which assures me of them being a legit company. And they are. I was paid the $6 instantly through PayPal. Well, Greenfield IS one of the best survey companies around, so, join them!

[Do Tell Me If You Win Any Of Those 'Sweepstakes', Though!]

Few paid surveys, lots of sweepstake surveys though

This is my second time as a Greenfieldonline member. I joined it years ago and did not earn any money using it, so I quit. At that time, they would only send you a check in the mail, and since I never seemed to qualify for any of their surveys, I quit.

I noticed it was a sign-up offer for $1 at Matrixmails where I'm presently a member. I knew of several people that recommended this survey site to other members. So I figured at least I would earn $1 from Matrixmails even if I ended having the same exact experience for a second time around.

One of my good friends advised me to avoid the sweepstake surveys and to primarily go for the paid ones. I have been a member for a second time for only 2 weeks and I already qualified for one of their $1 surveys. Out of the 18 survey invitations that I have received from them, only 4 of them have been paid surveys and the other 14 have been sweepstake surveys.

Out of the 4 paid surveys that I did take, I have qualified to complete one of them and I have $1 in my account that I can request at any time. Plus they have added Paypal as one of the payment processors, so no more waiting for a check in the mail.

I would recommend this site. If you like taking surveys, you'll get plenty of invitations from this one.

Looking for legit sites that really pay. ----> CLICK HERE<----

An Ok Survey Site

I have been a member of Greenfield for a couple of years now. The site does pay when you reach the minimum cash out amount, but you are more likely to receive surveys that will only enter you into various sweepstakes. I like to earn cash not possibly win something at a later time.. but if you like sweepstakes this might be a good survey site for you.

An okay survey site if you like being entered into sweepstakes

I have been a member of the site for a couple of years now. I really liked the site at first because there were a lot of surveys sent to my e-mail to complete. You can also go to the site and complete them.

Completing your whole profile gives you a better chance in receiving more surveys.

I was once able to qualify for a survey that paid me 60 to complete in an hour.

I stopped doing surveys after that because most of them are only to be entered into sweepstakes. I honestly don't have the time for it. Also a lot of the surveys pay ranging from 1 and up but most of them are about 30 minutes or so and in my opinion not worth the time for so little money.

I know there are a lot of people who like entering sweepstakes, so this would be a great site for that.

Improving lately!

I've been a member of Greenfield Online for several years now. For a very long time I rarely completed a survey because they were always for entries to sweepstakes. I feel those are a waste of my time because the chances of winning are so slim. However, while they still have a lot of these types of surveys, they also have been having more paid survey opportunities. Many surveys are $1-3. But, better yet is that I've qualified for some interactive "focus groups" with them that have paid $35-$50! These were awesome surveys! They never took more than about 45 minutes. They have also consistently paid in a very prompt manner. So, kudos to Greenfield for the great improvements in the last few months!

Many Surveys, few paying

I've been a member of Greenfield Online Research for about 6 years. When I first joined, I got very few paid surveys and qualified for none of them. Still I kept plugging away because I thought that the more screener surveys I took, I would at least be invited to more paid surveys in the future.

Turns out I was wrong because the paid surveys kept dwindling over time, until a few months ago when all I was getting was the screener surveys. No matter how long the survey was, it always seemed like all I was getting was entries into their sweepstakes. Finally, about three months ago, I gave up on Greenfield. Their surveys are kind of interesting, but I take surveys moreso for the money even if it is just a little, and small chance to get it.

Taking surveys when you know that you won't get even a dollar just seems futile to me.

Marketers, Are You Ready For The Truth?

Not The Same

It has been some years ago since I first joined Greenfield Online, back when almost every survey they offered paid cash. Somewhere along the way they started leaning more toward the majority of their surveys being for sweepstakes entries which does not interest me in the slightest. I still have my membership, and on rare occasions I do stop by to see what is being offered, but it has been several years since I received any cash incentive from GO. Most of their surveys are pretty simple, but you will encounter some that are extremely long and boring. This is what makes taking them for a sweeps entry kind of a put off. I think in total I probably have received about $20 from GO through the years. It always took about 6 weeks for the checks to arrive.

This is an okay survey site but not well suited for those who take surveys for extra cash.

Pretty Good Site

There wasn't anything I would've wanted to know before joining that wasn't available via the site's home page.

I really like that I don't have to wait for email invitations from them to try and take surveys. I can just log in, fill out the "Update my profile & start a survey" section and off I go. I also really like that I can go to "My Rewards Center" and see all of my details on payments, surveys taken, sweepstakes entries, total earnings and amount available to request.

The only thing I don't like so much is that most of the surveys are just for sweepstakes entries, but I've found that the more of those you do the more of the paying ones they send you.

My specific results as being a member since September 2,2008 have been that I've made a total of $48.50 and have never won any of the sweepstakes, even with LOTS of entries listed in "My Rewards Center". I've cashed out 2 times so far requesting a check for one and PayPal for the other (now that they offer it as an option) and have never had any problems getting paid. It's not a fast way to earn a lot, but it is a stable company and well worth it to me to continue my membership.

Lost My Account Information!

I joined Greenfield a few years back and I qualified for a few surveys, no cash incentives though and never won anything! That's not bad, that's pretty normal of most survey sites; but here's what got me! I didn't log in for maybe a month or so, and when I did decide to try for more surveys I couldn't log in!

I was confused because my log in information is the same for all survey sites! I even tried to retrieve my information but apparently my email address was incorrect?! Now I was really confused because I had just received an email from the site that morning about survey opportunities! So I tried to contact administration but I couldn't do that because I couldn't log in! Hmmm, well I guess that was a good indicator that I shouldn't deal with this site anymore. If my account information is lost in limbo, I figure if I end up making a few dollars with the site my money will be lost!

Not saying that you shouldn't join Greenfield, but I do think anyone considering this site should have some reservations.

Greenfield Online

I have been a member of Greenfield Online for about a month. I have taken a lot of surveys and I love it! They send me great paying surveys daily! I just received a $2 survey just a few minutes ago and an $8 survey earlier today. Greenfield Online is a great site to join if you want to make extra money. I have made $93 so far! The thing I like most about Greenfield Online is that they have no minimum payout via PayPal. I have made so much with them through PayPal and it's fast and easy. I would recommend Greenfield Online to anyone!

No Green In Greenfield For Me

When I first joined Greenfield I thought it was an honor to be a member of such a prestigious survey site. However that feeling did not last too long. Almost all the surveys that I get do not have a cash incentive. You would think that such a large company could afford to pay more often for their surveys. I find that I always qualify for their non-paying surveys but hardly ever qualify for the paying ones. In the last year I have completed three cash surveys for a total of $8. One positive thing that I can say is that I received my payment in a prompt manner. Even though I am still a member, I only attempt their cash surveys now. If you enjoy doing surveys because you like giving your opinion, then you will like Greenfield. On the other hand, if you are looking to make extra cash then look elsewhere.

Not Many Cash Surveys

I WAS a member for nine months and during that time I received about six surveys that had a cash reward attached to it. I would get 2 or 3 surveys per day on average, and maybe one out of twenty were for cash. Out of the six or so cash surveys I received, I managed to fully complete two of them. I found Greenfield surveys to be very long, most would take me over a half our to do. I started doing less and less of their surveys as time went by and after finally completing my second cash survey, I requested payment which I did receive. I am not a member anymore and I would not recommend them if you are looking to make extra money. This is a large survey site that can afford to pay more for their surveys. There are many other survey sites out there that pay more. To me site is just a waste of time.

Mostly Sweeps entries

I remember when I first started doing online surveys for extra money I was thrilled when I received a $10 survey from Greenfield. My thrill started to leave after it took me over 2 hours to complete the survey. I was even more disappointed when the amount took a long time to credit to my account. And I was none too happy with how long it took to receive my check. That was 2 years ago. Now, they offer Paypal as an option with a low $1 minimum to cash out. If you request Paypal you receive your money fairly quickly. While there are some paying surveys and some surveys that lead to high paying Invoke sessions, most of the survey invites I get are for sweepstakes entries. I am not fond of spending a lot of time taking a survey just to be entered into a sweepstakes. If you don't mind wading through the sweeps entry surveys, this is a nice site to belong to.

Good survey site

One of the main reasons why I like Greenfield is because it's free to be a member. For completing a survey you can win cash, prizes or be entered into some kind of sweepstakes for a big cash prize. Also, before you began to answer the qualifying questions you are already made aware of what kind of compensation you will receive before you take the entire survey. I prefer to take surveys for cash because I never win any sweepstakes or prizes from them, but the cash prize is a guarantee. The surveys I get are usually worth $2-3 which I think is pretty good. I have received a few checks from them over the last few years I have been a member. I don't make a lot of money doing this but it makes good pocket change.

Greenfield Online not my Favorite Site

Greenfield Online has been around a long time, and I have been a member of this site for at least two years. They have surveys on their site as well as surveys on Inboxdollars, Cashcrate, Quick Rewards, Daily Survey Panels and other survey sites. I got repeated offers from the Greenfield site to do surveys, most were low paying, and the ones that paid 3 or more I did not qualify for. I also question their honesty to a degree because I know some surveys I did through QuickRewards were not credited. I think some people are satisfied with Greenfield and have had good results. I personally do not think they are one of the better survey sites out there.

Not the best, but steady, and pays fast!

I've been with Greenfield Online since April 2009 and have cashed many times (they have no minimum for paypal payments), and have always received the payments fairly quickly.

As far as the surveys, Greenfield must have many clients, because there are many surveys in the system at a given time. However, like SurveySpot and some of the other larger survey outfits, not all of them compensate with cash reward. Some are compensated with sweepstakes entries. Some people may like this, but to me it's frustrating because I'd rather have a small amount of cash than a pie-in-the sky chance for a big win through a sweepstakes entry (Who wins these things, anyway?)

Occasionally, Greenfield will offer an incentive of 50 cents to be added to every completed survey, which can add up quite nicely if you stay active. This usually runs for a week to ten days. The surveys themselves are about average in length on a variety of topics, and as I mentioned, you will get many opportunities if you register with them. Overall, I've made more with some other sites, but this is one I can count on to keep me busy and look forward to the small paypal payments coming in.
