InboxDollars Description

Inbox Dollars is an email service that allows you to earn money. The idea behind the company is to allow users to use it for ordinary email with an incentive to read promotional emails and take part in their other programs. The concept is similar to many pay to surf programs but builds in many different methods into one system.

InboxDollars Detailed Overview

Several years ago, the ‘get paid to surf’ programs were one of the most popular business models. But they eventually faded away because the systems were cheated with programs that autosurfed the sites. Others were built fully intending to make money from advertisers and cheat the people who worked hard to earn money. For this reason, I’m usually very skeptical when a new service that promises to help you make money for reading or surfing.

Upon doing some research on Inbox Dollars, I found that it is actually a legitimate company that pays out to their users so I decided to find out what it was all about. The program allows you to earn money in multiple ways. You can get paid to read emails, take surveys, partake in offers, and shop.

They present you with $5 when you first sign up and require you to earn a $30 minimum before you get paid. The first way you can make money is by reading emails. You are paid 3-6 cents per email you read. They take a few seconds to read but there are only 2-4 emails delivered per day.

You can make money from surveys as well. These are short simple surveys that companies use to conduct market research. You are only allowed to take one survey a day. The average pay out per survey is only $1 but it’s a great way to rack up some spending cash every month.

The next way you can make money using Inbox Dollars is with promotional offers. These are trial offers that sign you up for monthly programs (like Blockbuster, Netflix, Stamps.com, etc.). You can earn anything between $5-10 for every offer you complete. If you’re not interested you can cancel the trial before you’re charged. The risk of doing this is that some companies will continue to charge you even after you request cancellation. Some are hard to reach so you’ll have cancel by going to your credit card company but this is in the minority.

The last way you can make money is by getting paid to shop online. Inbox Dollars will provide you a list of merchants and anytime you purchase using their link, you’ll get up to 40% cash back. The average percentage however is 5% and their system is similar to the FatWallet’s (a popular coupon, cash back and deal site).

There are some big flaws with Inbox Dollars that I have seen. First they charge you a processing fee of $3 whenever you request payment. I think this is a little bit too much, especially since it’s not easy to earn with the service. They also take 1-2 months to mail out the check. I was left wondering why it took so long for me to receive my money.

They also offer $5 if you refer a friend but you only get credited when your friend earns $30 and request a check. This is a little ridiculous and it seems like they put this clause in to make it extra hard for you to earn extra money from referrals.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

InboxDollars Reputation

Inbox Dollars is a legitimate way to make a few bucks with a couple of minutes a day. It is not intended to be a way to generate any serious money online. It is way too time consuming and tedious for you to depend on. The best way to look at it is “why not make a few bucks whenever I check my email?”

There has been mixed reviews about the program. Many users didn’t appreciate the fact that they make it difficult and tedious to receive a payout. However, they do send you the check on schedule (1-2 months). Other users who are interested in making a little money on the side like the service. If you’re looking for a way to make some money to pay your phone bill every month, then this program is something you should check out.

Inbox Dollars Deceptive

I wouldn't say that Inbox Dollars is a scam, but they sure are deceptive in the way they explain what you will make. I really wish they would explain the "surveys" as offers instead. All and all it's still the person's choice whether they will try the product or not, why disguise it as a survey when it is nothing but an IFW site, with a low payout at that.

Them never coming out and asking people to do offers is why I stopped using the site.

The best thing about InboxDollars is the membership to WorldWinner! And please, don't spend your moneythere, just make the initial deposit, and play for free. Seriouslythough, you will get tired of all the chump change e-mails, you willget tired of them saying they want you to take a survey, when in factthe are pushing a trial offer, and unless you have a lot of referrals,or you are actually doing the offers, it will be a very long time forpayout. This is a program that I would definitely have skipped had Ihad the knowledge that I have now, back then.

Marketers, Are You Ready For The Truth?

Great for teens, so-so for adults

Making money with inbox dollars is like sendearnings and cashcrate in terms of offers. New offers can come slowly at times. You have to be patient with it. Surveys are hit and miss, but mostly miss. It can be difficult to qualify for most of them. That was my situation. I felt like it was very annoying to do the emails, knowing that they were at the most 3 cents. It took so long for me to reach payout that I quit my membership after I got paid. However, teens with debit cards should be more patient with it. Don't use credit cards. Debit cards (pre-paid) are better.

Legit but slow to yield

This is legit, as I've had one or two small payments. Once you join and complete the sign up form, you get a $5 one off boost to your account. By clicking on the odd e-mail they send you every once in a while, the cents begin to mount up, but it's no 'get rich quick' scheme. There are surveys that you can take, but whenever I try, 95% of the time they're always full, or I don't qualify, which is quite annoying. For the surveys that I've managed to complete, I've earned about $0.50 and for the time spent doing them, I often ask myself if it's really worth the effort. The bottom line is that it's worth the look, but don't give up your day job for it.

Inbox Dollars has been around awhile...

Personally, I've signed up for this three times in about the last four years, roughly. So, on the positive side, it's been around awhile, which leads me to believe that is in fact not a scam. However, I didn't want to sign up for a bunch of services like Netflix (which I'm already a member) and Ebay... (also which I'm already a member) so it was difficult to find offers I was truly interested in. It didn't really do me any good.

I have a friend at work that said he cashed out. I asked him how he got past all the signing up. He said he cancelled everything before the trial period was up. I don't know if Inbox Dollars allows this because most of the ads I read required a sign up for at least a month whereas most free trials last only a week. Some of the credit card offers required an actual purchase.

This would be great for someone who's kind of new on the net. I can't actually think of anyone who hasn't at least signed up for an Ebay account. I'm not sure where $15.99 a month came from in the aforementioned article, because I don't pay a thing as just a regular Ebayer without a store. Perhaps, therein lies the difference.

Anyhow, I seriously doubt this is a scam. Again, it's been around awhile now.

You have to work their system

The site is Ok for what it is. The real way to make money is to read the emails (yes at 2 cents each), but the pay off is in accepting trial offers that pay from those emails! That adds up fairly quickly, and provided you keep it to things that you want any way (free business cards that pay $5, you just have to cover shipping) and you will come out ahead on basically free items. (free items and shipping paid back)

Keep it perspective and there are benefits!

Legitimate site

Inbox dollar is not a scam. It is very much legit. The only problem or inconvenience might be that it takes a while to cash out. A minimum of $30 is required to be able to cash out, and it takes a while to get that minimum. Otherwise the money is real and they do pay. It's no risk joining, and it's free to join.

This is an excellent site

I have been with this site for a few months now and have already made payout about two times already. They do pay out but compared to other sites you have to wait until you get to $30 to cash out, but the most important thing about Inbox Dollars I that it is a legitimate site even though it's takes awhile before you reach pay out.

What to say about inbox dollars

There is not much to say about inbox dollars because there is not anything really "special" about them paid emails - unless you like opening 50 emails a day just to make one meager little dollar.

Paid offers - again this is great but truthfully their payout % is not as good as other sites (won't mention any but you can find them) and since the amount they share with you per offer is lower than most it's a pain to get to the minimum payout. Other sites even allow you to choose a minimum payout - above a certain amount of course.

In my opinion with the low payout percentage on offers completed and the slow climb to your minimum payout inbox dollars is a total flop BUT since they are legit - which a-lot of sites are NOT - they get a C from me for being legit.

What I don't like about this

Honestly inbox dollars is not a good program for a few reasons here are a few of them.

1. The paid emails are quite frankly an insult to my intelligence. Why would I want to get paid .01 to .05 cents for opening a promotional email? What this means is sure I get that nickel or penny but what if I like the service that's in the email and I buy into it? Well then obviously inbox dollars gets commission money for that sale duh your down the cost of that product minus a nickel for having it sent to you.

2. Payouts and minimum payments: their payouts ARE in my experience much lower than most sites. I'd have to say their pay ratio is like 45-50% shared on offers while sites like cashcrate are a whopping 75%.

And in case you think I don't know what I'm talking about just check out commission junction or linkshare and you will be able to see what the payouts on said offers actually are versus what they are giving you for completing them.

But to their credit inbox dollars is a for real opportunity and therefore shouldn't be scrutinized for wanting to make money while sharing it even though it's to a lesser degree than their competitors.

More like inbox cents rather that dollars

I find inbox dollars to be similar to project payday in the sense of completing offers in order to get paid. Although that is not the only way to get cash - inbox dollars also sends you so called paid emails where you receive like 6 cents for viewing a sponsor ad.

Inbox dollars also connects it's members with other resources to make money such as mystery shopping or playing games. Pretty cool offers.

I find Inbox Dollars to be a good site

I have been a member at Inbox dollars for about 5 or 6 years now. And I understood at the get go that it wasn't something that was going to make you rich. They use to have surveys that paid $1 a day but you for limited to one. I thought it sucked that they lowered the payout on them. But half the time it didn't matter, because you would get 90% through the surveys then it would tell you that you didn't qualify for it. So I stopped doing them unless I got an email telling me I qualify for one, which is around 2 a month now.

But I get anywhere from 5 to 10 emails a day from them, and they seem to average out to around .04 cents. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I also always sign up for the Mercury Magazine offers, it is free, and they pay you . 50 Cents per magazine you get. You can opt for the electronic form of it.

When ordering flowers for funeral's I use Inbox also, I get a rebate back on them, so it saves a little bit of money. There are few ways to earn money on Inbox dollars, you just have to be willing to search the site to find them.

I have received at least 3 checks a year from them. I am not going to get rich off of it, but I love being able to surprise the family and take that money to use for unexpected entertainment.

I think that inbox dollars is a joke

I have been a member of this site for a little over a year, and I still have not made payout.

I have tried to do the surveys, but it seems like if you don't make a certain amount of money or have children, you are denied.

All of the other offers want you to spend money, in order to have a little bit of money credited to your account. For us who are on a limited budget it is hard for us to be able to make anything from this site.

Yes, they will pay you for opening mail that is sent to you, but they only send two a day, at .01 cent it will take a lifetime to make any money off of this site.

No dollars in my inbox

I had a task from another website which is to join a meet-your-partner website, when I was already in the website, it directed me to sign-up for a free Inbox Dollars account. I think those two website were affiliates or something. Without second thought, I joined also Inbox Dollars and completed the first survey. It was pretty good because I earned 5 cents from that survey instantly.

The surprise was when I checked payment methods and saw that they do not pay via Paypal. I felt upset because I am from another country and the only way I could get my earnings is thru paypal.

I guess there won't be any dollar in my inbox for this.

Yes, it's slow

I am close to payout now at Inbox Dollars. It has taken me well over a year to get to this point, but there were a few months where I was not actively clicking. I haven't spent much money. I usually click a few emails, try a survey or sign up for a free offer. I haven't got credit for Vista Print which I spent a few dollars on. They were supposed to pay me $5 and I pay about $4.50. I may have typed in the wrong email address though. It's a slow way to make money, but I hear they do pay.

Inbox Dollars Money to be made

Well, I have been with this site for a few years now and I must say that I have been paid by them. However, the money to be made there is real, but if all you do is read the emails and play a few games then it will take you a long time to earn payout. I believe this site is better if you are willing to shop the ads and then you can earn more money faster. I don't personally want to spend money to earn money.

There are other sites that I can make money at faster and I choose to pursue those over Inbox. However, I will get another payout from them eventually.

Inbox Dollars is a good paid to read email site

I have been a member of inbox dollars for quite awhile and even though they send emails between 1-10 cents each, they only send a couple each day. I suggest that if you sign up for inbox dollars that you refer a lot of other people because you will reach payout faster if you have a lot of active referrals. I am a gold member of inbox dollars and I used my account balance to upgrade but I never upgraded to gold at their sister site send earnings and I am not even close to payout at send earnings. I am within $5 of payout at Inbox Dollars. I suggest if you want to reach payout at inbox dollars faster that you promote the site heavily on the internet and have a lot of sign ups under you, because if you are doing it alone, it will take you forever to reach payout.

Pretty good site overall

The only 2 things I do are the paid emails and sometimes the surveys. Yes, it takes quite a while to reach payout but it's well worth it for the effort involved. I had enough of doing offers with Project Payday, so I don't do them in Inbox Dollars either. I, too, have a membership with Send Earnings and have found the money comes faster with Inbox Dollars.

Inbox Dollars: Great but makes you wait

I think that Inbox Dollars is a passable site. I have been paid by them once before and received my check in a timely manner. The only drawbacks in this site is that the earnings take a long time to accumulate, payments are given through a check, and you must wait a month after cash-out to receive your funds. There have also been times when I was not credited for some of the offers I completed. Other than those setbacks Inbox Dollars can help you to gain profits.

If your earnings are not a dire need then by all means join, but if you are in need of money urgently this is not that type of site.

Slow Process but good website

I have an account in inbox dollar since December 2008. But till now I've earned only $15. When I tried to take surveys, most of the surveys it says I am not eligible. You have to spend a lot of time on this site to make any money.

It just don't work on me

Been a member on this site. For me, it doesn't work. I was too often not qualified for the survey. It was hard to reach payout, and you need much time for it. I just gave up and stopped using it. It looks like ended up into scam and a waste of time.

Definitely Not a Get Rich Scheme - Sign up for Free

I joined Inbox quite a few years ago when the Gold Memberships cost $17. The website posting said you don't necessarily have to pay out of your pocket for this. Once you read enough emails and/or try products you can use your earnings to purchase it. So I signed up, and as a bonus, they start you off with $5 which I thought was cool. Well I never tried the products but I did read the emails and joined some survey sites to earn .50-1. It took quite a few months to save up for the $17, but once I did I purchased the Gold Membership and that's when I started making a little more much faster. They put you down as a referral on other people's email and once other peopled start reading the "inbox" emails you get paid for that. I've so far made around $75 without having to purchase anything but the Gold Membership using their money. I still read emails for the fun of it and take surveys.

The slowest earner

InboxDollars is a very slow earner. I was a member a couple of years ago and just gave up after a couple of months. The e-mails were trickling in too slow, and you would need a lot of referrals just to make payout eventually. As mentioned before, the games were fun, but if you are looking to make money, this is not a good site for that.

Inbox Dollars Is Just What It Is!

It's basically an IFW hidden in a paid to read format. That's it, it's low payout, but good for what it does! I've been with them for about 6 months myself and only made around $16. But anyway, the emails are .02 cents each, I just checked, and the surveys I seem to never qualify for, but who cares, at .50 cents to $1 for 20 minutes! I click the emails after they have accumulated over a little time to just do them all at once, if I'm just online dabbling!

The payout will eventually get there, though it is sad there's no Paypal option. After all the money they're getting from these companies, then a check processing fee, for what? Just cut the check and mail it then write the postage off on taxes. It's only .42 cents! But then I guess they charge their employees a processing fee as well when they're paid right? I doubt it!

It was a Great Website... at First

When I first joined this website over 4 years ago, it actually paid $1 per email being read. Then, the company reduced the pay to $. 50. Once that happened, I deleted my account. I was not about to waste my time reading emails for only .50 a piece.

InboxDollars

I have been a member of inbox dollars for a few years. I made the $20 payout in about 5 months, and it was sent to me through the mail. The offers are quick and easy to complete. They pay you to read emails sent straight to your inbox. Anyone looking to make money on the internet should give inbox dollars a look.

This a great legit site

I have been a member of InBox Dollars for about a year now and have made enough for payout. Although, I am saving it till I get more then 40 dollars because there is a 3 dollar processing fee. With this site, all you do is read the emails that they send you and you can also go to the site itself and deposit money to play the games which you make money playing them. It is free to sign up and free to earn money. You can buy products through the site and get paid for buying the items but that is solely up to you to do. The layout is also very clean and well-organized. I recommend you to give it a try.

Slow earnings, but still worth it

I'm a member there and agree with other people that it does take a while to reach the minimum payout. I stick with the paid emails. It will take a long time for me to reach the payout level, but reading e-mails is very easy to do. I never qualify for surveys, so I never do them.

Inbox Dollars

I used to be a member of Inbox Dollars about a year ago. It took me a long time (3-4 months) to reach their payout, which was $30 I believe. I used to receive from anywhere between 2-4 e-mails per day, which wasn't too bad in my opinion. I never participated in their "Get paid to play games" section, however, I did try to get paid by taking surveys. That didn't go too well as I never qualified for any. When I did reach payout, I had to wait about 2 months to receive the money. Also, at that time I wanted to just receive the money and quit. Unfortunately, I couldn't do this because I had to remain active to receive the payment. If you are patient with this, then you will like this site. I found out that it isn't right for everyone.

2 cents adds up after awhile

I've been signed up with Inbox dollars and 2 more from the same company for about 2 years. The way I look at it, if I read their emails, play games, check out the surveys, I'll make a few pennies here and there. I've only reached about $15, but I don't try very hard either. I have referred one person and they are not very active either. This site won't let you get rich, but for a few extra cents a day, it does eventually add up.

Free money, easy work, doesn't cost a cent

Not bad if your just surfing!

Don't expect to get rich clicking, but this good for some pocket money every 6 months unless you have referrals. The program has undergone changes which have made the earnings just barely average. If you have 6 months to earn enough to cash out at 30 dollars, then this is for you.

Been With Them 3 years

As a long term and upgraded (gold) member, I have had very good success with the site and earning money.

The cash back shopping is fabulous and offers great rates compared with any site online.

The cash back gaming is great, it's partners with one of the two largest Skill Gaming sites out there and offers a decent return on entry fees paid if you join through them.

The E-mail is usually 2 cents per read and sent every other day.

Every month there is a new sweepstakes, and it really allows for some nice bonuses to be won.

Just got my check

I had just got my second check in the mail the other day. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to say it's the LAST check I will get. The process is just too slow for someone like me. I don't have time to sit around and do surveys for 30 minutes which only give you .50 cents. After you get your first payment, you do get upgraded to a GOLD membership which you can benefit from because it lets you have your payment processed within a week instead of a month which was a real turn off the first time I did it.

Why not earn for junk mail?

I have been a member of InboxDollars since Jan 2008 and I like them, mostly because they send all emails directly to me and there are no timers or touring numbers. Takes a few seconds to click the link and earn two cents. If you must shop online, they give coupons and incentives you can use to earn more cash. I don't do any surveys or play the games, but at least they have other ways to earn on their site. Compared to other PTC sites, this does not take much of my time given most sites pay less than a penny. I have been paid once and working on my second payment soon. Like I said, time is the key factor here for basically opening your email.

Pennies for your efforts

WARNING: NEVER PARTICIPATE IN GETTING PAID TO READ EMAILS WEBSITES.

It's simply too much effort for too little payout. I have wasted hours slaving away in front of my computer, reading email after email, email after email, endless emails...

and-guess what -

After all of my hard effort

The hours I spent...

The surveys I did...

I got 3 dollars.

Believe me, you don't want to try this website.

Seems like a nice site but you need a lot of time

I joined this site about two weeks ago, and at first thought that it would be easy to earn some money. It does take quite a while to earn any amount of money. The offers on this site are like the ones on fat cat rewards. Most of them you need to sign up and then you get charged money for them. At first, I did that, and cancelled the trial after the first message, but after a while, it got too bothersome. This site, however, is legit (I believe). Put some time into it, and you will get results.

Takes Time

It takes quite some time to accumulate any money. I got my first check for $50, but it took almost two months after requesting it. It's not hard to do and will eventually accumulate some cash.

Definitely A Slow Process

Yes I am a member of inbox and have been for quite some time. I too have found it a very time consuming site and irritating when I don't qualify for the surveys and also having to complete offers that just take you through loops. I still get emails and occasionally participate in reading the emails. I have seen it being promoted on various traffic exchanges and advertising sites but I personally would not promote it simply because of my experience and not wanting to subject others to the irritation. On the other hand there are some people who do really well with winning free stuff going through the steps it takes to win that Gift Card or Dell Computer. So this might be just the thing for some people but not really where I want to focus my attention on.

Add this site to others to earn

I have been a member of Inbox for several years now. I'll admit I'm not getting rich, but it's a good place to make a few extra dollars! I have a few referrals that gain me a little more, too. That's what most PTR or PTC sites depend on to make the most of it... referrals. I've received several payments from them and would not think of leaving this cash on the table! I combine this program with others and make a nice little sum of cash online.

More for fun

I joined this site just to play some games. Thinking I was going to make money playing their games. But I also decided to try to make a little bit of money by reading their emails. You don't make very much. But you do get paid what you do make. Which is nice. The games are also very fun!

You have to work hard to get a decent amount

I have to say that after joining this program a couple of years back I have found that the best way to earn money is to earn from shopping via them. As for the emails they are few and far between and my daughter gets a bigger allowance weekly than I have earned in a year from the emails. Overall I have to say there are better sites out there that offer better incentives.

Those that mind dont matter and those that matter don't mind

If you have LOTS of free time...

Inbox dollars does give you money, but if your looking for a supplmental income, look elsewhere.

You get paid by:

-Taking Surveys -Boring as all heck, and half the time I didn't even

qualify to do them! ($0.50) Usually 6/Week.

-Playing Games -In order to play games you have to let them install

"Active X" on your computer. Which means they can

take information of your computer. ($1/game win) I

think you can lose money with this too.

-Cash Shopping -Spend money to make it. Not a bad thing at all, but

when you spend $30 and only get $8 in return...

-Referrals -You get 10% of what each referral makes. In the three

weeks I've been with them, I've made a grand total of

$6.16. Hmm, 10% of $6, I can't even get Taco Bell

with $0.60!

In my opinion, ID is a waste of time. Unless your involved in about 15 or so other survey sites. It's really not worth the effort.

Hope this helps.

Better than Quite a Few

Hello, I have been a member of Inbox since mid June 2009. While it's true you get paid 2 cents per email you read, there are other ways besides having to spend money in order to make money. If they happen to have an offer that you would usually use anyway, why not take advantage of making some of your money back? If you think about it, it's kind of like a rebate. For instance, I am a coffee-holic. So, I usually order coffee online anyway. I paid $7 for the 1st order (a first time buyer thing) and received a $7 credit in my Inbox account. You also can take surveys for 50 cents each. Not a lot of money by no means, but why not answer a survey while you're sitting there watching TV and earning nothing. I surpassed my $30 pay out limit by the end of June. The thing is, that if you can get signed up with the good survey sites and can make $30 with 3,4 or more different sites while you're not doing anything else... Why not?

Inbox Dollars member

I have been a member of Inbox Dollars since 2006 and have cashed in about $140. I currently have about $17 (need $30 to cash in). I click on e-mails, rarely buy anything, take surveys thru the site and sign up for free offers. What I didn't like is that they used to have a gold member program where one paid a 1 time fee of $17 and now to be gold you have to cash out 1 time... Gold members get referral rewards, ie: when someone pops in at the site without someone else referring them, gold members all get a share of referrals. Right now my page says I have 25, a total cash benefit of $8.15. So, you are not going to get rich on a quarter here and there but you don't have to sign up for anything you don't want to. One warning, I DON'T recommend the cash games on there which is World Winner, in my opinion it is a total rip-off. Inbox is owned by Cotter Enterprises and they also have a site called Send Earnings which I joined and it is the same thing, just different name.

You can earn money

I have been a member here for a while now. I still have not reached payout. You have to invest a lot of time on this site to reach the minimum payout. You can however earn money from this site with effort. As we all know you have to at least try. I personally haven't took the time out to reach the minimum payout because I have been busy on other sites. This is not a fast money maker unless you refer a lot of people.

InboxDollars

I like Inbox Dollars. It is slow reaching the minimum payout level, but so are most sites like that.

Nice Website!

I've been a member at this website for about a month and I must say that I really do enjoy it. Not only do you get paid to read emails but you also get paid for signing up to free offers, shopping, and playing games. If you enjoy doing those then you will enjoy this website!

Comments on the inboxdollars review

This is a great review of Inboxdollars. It is a totally credible site; it's well organized, nicely designed and honestly pays out. But it can be hard to reach their minimum payout amount of $30.

I stopped using it because..

It was slow. The website was also deceiving as a lot of the emails, and surveys were cash offers. I am young and just recently got a credit card for payout purposes. It takes up far too much time, and I make more money at work and other online resources.

You won't get rich, but not bad

I have been a member of Inbox Dollars for a few years now. I mostly just do the paid email reads, which takes very little time out of my day. I have done a few surveys and some shopping on the site, but they are not my main focus.

I find it easy to rack up a few cents here and there and have cashed out. It will not make you rich, but for the little time I do invest in it, it's free and it does pay.

It's ok

I have an account with them, had one for a long time.

They pay me 2 cents/email I click on.

When you click the link in their email it takes you to an ad, you then click "click here" so it confirms you read the message and close the window.

That's all I do and I get paid, but unless you do other things on the site, the pay isn't worth the time. It does get annoying having to read all the emails.

The site is for real though, it's not a scam.
