NPD Online Research is a membership site where members takes surveys and offer their opinions for various participating companies. For their survey and opinion activities, members receive rewards in the form of contest entries and sometimes cash. Surveys are made available to members according to the needs of the participating companies.
NPD Online Research is a survey site, though it prefers to call itself an online research community, which you have to admit sounds more professional. It’s not surprising that they’d want to not call themselves a survey program, since so many of those types of programs have given the whole industry a bad name.
Is NPD Online Research one of the good ones? First of all, the programs that have given survey sites a bad name are the ones that have asked members to pay a fee for the privilege of taking surveys. People pay the fees and find out that they were misled. N.O.R. does not charge anyone a fee to be a member or to take surveys through their site, and this is a good sign.
The scam sites also promised people a lot of money for very little work. NPD Online Research does not do this. They promise that you will be rewarded for taking surveys, but not that you will make a full-time income. Sometimes you’ll earn money, sometimes you’ll earn entry into contests and sometimes you’ll earn prizes. The majority of points that you earn through this program will go toward contest entry, and they make that very clear.
NPD Online Research basically advertises itself as a fun place to belong to, and that is it. The lack of sensationalism involved in their advertising bodes well for this program. They've been around a long time for a good reason, they seem to keep everything honest.
If you're looking to earn money online taking surveys, you will want to check our top recommendations for Legitimate and FREE Paid Survey Companies.
NPD Online Research has an excellent reputation among those who like to take surveys online for reward. A lot of delighted people have reported winning cash in their daily contests, and all members report that they are treated well by the program administrators. This is definitely one of the good ones.

Don't waste your time with this I have joined this site in the hopes of getting a little extra money. But you are not doing these surveys for money. Instead, you are just completing them for prize points and entrants to giveaways in which I have never won once. This was very disappointing. I wish that you could exchange the points for cash that you can cash out and buy stuff. But not with this site. They gave me fairly decent length surveys, about 3 or so every week. But this wasn't worth my time. Do not waste your time with this site. Not unless you like entering in giveaways of things you may never win. I am done with this site. |

NPD Online Research I was a member of this site for about 3 years and I do not like the way that it has changed to sweepstakes. I have never won a single prize. It seemed more like a waste of my time compared to some of the other survey sites out there. I belong to several sites where I get to try out products and receive a cash incentive. I prefer those much better. I do agree that the surveys are shorter, but I like to see some sort of benefit for my efforts.

This didn't work out all that well for me I never did seem to get all that many Surveys that I qualified for, so it was largely a huge waste of time after a while. I did get tons of email from them, and lots of invites to surveys, but I never seemed to qualify for them. The Surveys that I did qualify for were often long and not what I would ever consider a good return on my investment of time. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. |

NPD Research Online- for men I tried this survey many months ago and found that it is not all that it is cracked up to be. Most of the surveys are for males, and if you do not have children you may not qualify for any of them. This was one of the many survey sites that I had tried, and one of the first that did not pan out for me. |

The Jokes On Us! I found this site through Inbox Dollars thinking there must be something to it. I got . 50 cents for signing up right? Well, with this site only offering reward points I knew I would get something; cash, prize, locket, safety pin, something! But, no! I qualified for a few surveys and quickly realized that this whole thing was a complete joke! Not for them though, for us panel members. Think about it, they tell us in the beginning that we're getting nothing, but we still sign up anyway with hopes of winning some cash or a small prize, but we get a thank you and sent to the next survey! It's been mentioned plenty of times here, but I'll repeat it again; unless you have nothing but time on your hands, nothing better to do, or just completely get a kick out of doing surveys, research or whatever they want to call it, this site is a passer! In other words, there are better things to do with your time! |

Not worth the time I was a member of NPD Online for about 2 years. They are a sweepstakes only survey panel. I personally like to earn money for my opinion not "a chance to win a prize" or entries into sweepstakes. The surveys I completed from NPD tended to be kind of boring and repetitive. If you like taking surveys for entries into sweepstakes this might be a good site for you but if you are trying to make money sharing your opinions you should move onto other survey panels.

Good but could be better I like NPD Online Research, however, the fact that it only limits users to winning one way which is via their sweepstakes is what hurts them the most. I will admit their surveys are short which is good and you have the opportunity to instant win games and more sweepstakes entries. They do have a lot of good prizes in their sweepstakes area and you can submit your entries to whatever prize of your liking in order to get that prize so that can be a little bit exciting, but considering I have never won and I have been with them for over a year, it can be a little disheartening. |

Not bad, but there are better sites I tend to lose track of the paid-survey sites I sign up with because anything that doesn't e-mail me survey invitations or stand out in some other way tends to get forgotten. NPD is one of those--they have a halfway decent number of survey opportunities, and they do send e-mails, but their e-mails (and subject lines, just as importantly) don't mention a reward. No way am I slogging through a survey only to find out that I won't be getting paid for it.

Not what it's cracked up to be! I've been dong this one for quite some time now, & I have yet to get anything out of it. Most of the time, they don't pay off like they say they will, & I've found that the so-called contests are rigged; i. e. : you'll get spammy junk mail sent to your mail box! Beware of sites that say they award "points"; some of them are nothing more than fronts for consumer panels to get you to buy stuff!

Not Worth It They send many surveys, but many times I would have to answer a few questions then they would come back with an error message that I didn't qualify for the survey. In my experience, I have not found one yet that is worth the time put in nor have I ever actually gotten to the point of making enough money to get a check.

Not Worthy I joined NPD with the hopes of winning something, making some extra cash and doing something I enjoy. Within 1 year, I logged on everyday, did at least 2-3 surveys, played games and literally checked the NPD website from top to bottom. Not only did I not win anything, but none of my earned points were useable in any way except to apply to prizes I never won. So, bottom line is, unless you win one of their mysterious prizes, you're out of luck. If anyone has had better luck with NPD I would sure like to know.

No pay is not for me I do not like this site at all. I don't mind working for only a little money, however, I don't like working for free. With this site all I ever got was a thank you and a chance to win something. I will give them credit for one thing, they are at least honest about you not getting paid up front with them. I do not recommend that anyone ever join this site.

Not really worth it If you're looking to earn some money for doing surveys based on your opinions, I advise you to keep looking. I joined this awhile back looking for a survey site to earn some extra cash with and this one was almost everywhere I looked so I said I will give it a go. Unlike many other survey sites, this one was based purely on luck and doesn't let you exchange you're hard earned points for cash instead everything is sweepstakes based. I've been there for a month and have not won a cent. The only thing I've won was a whole bunch of spam in my email. You would be fortunate if you actually see any money from this site. Instead of wasting your time and hoping you get lucky, go look around for the sites that actually pay you for your opinions.

Less Points More Cash I have been a member of NPDOR for five months. I am not satisfied with this site. Even though the surveys are easy to do, and are not time consuming, the reward that you get, in my opinion is not enough. All you will receive are points for doing each survey and bonus points playing a game when you are done. You cannot trade these points for cash or prizes. All you can do is use points to enter sweepstakes with prizes that include cash, electronics, vacation trips, and many other prizes. During my time as a member I have used all my points trying to win the grand prize of $5000. No luck so far in winning. I realize now that it is better to try and win the less popular prizes where there is less competition. On the home page they show a graph that lists the prizes that have received the most entries, and from now on I will go after prizes not listed.

There are better ones. I have been a member for a couple of months and have gotten a few surveys now and then. It is a very hard site to actually earn money from and I really don't like it as much as some other ones. It is kind of confusing sometimes too. I would recommend a different survey site.

It's like playing the lottery I have been a member of this site for quite some time. Although I have never won any prizes in the sweeps, I feel the surveys are helpful to the marketers. It would be nice to win something for your time, but I also like that my voice is being heard. NPD sends about four surveys a month to me. I have yet to not qualify for one. At the end of each survey, you are taken to the sweepland page which is part of NPD. You don't get many points for taking the survey. (about 25) but on the sweeps page, you play a game of their choice & try to get as many points as you can in that game. The points you get in the game are then added to the points from the survey you just took & you get the total number of points to play in the sweeps. (Such as; 25 pts for taking the survey & 50 pts in the sweeps game gives you 75 pts to enter the sweeps). Now, they do have cash on the board. $100, $250... $5000. Whether this is ACTUAL cash, I cannot tell you. I finally figured out how to save my points so I can keep adding to them & right now I have between 450-500 points. Last month, I had accumulated over 1600 pts. but lost them before I could use them. If you'll look @ the prize with the highest "end date" & keep putting your points with that prize, (which is usually the $5000 spot), you can rack up the points. But be sure to transfer them before the end date or you will loose them. |

This survey site gives hopes of false rewards I do not like this survey panel. I joined it about a year ago. The only thing it is good for is giving you really easy survey invitations to fill out. Other than that, their reward system for the time you spend, needs a MAJOR upgrade, in my opinion. They give your points like other survey sites do. But instead of allowing to trade those points in for the prizes you want. You have to use your points in sort of a auction that is held for cash prizes, movie tickets, etc... I have successfully completed many surveys for them, but I haven't won 1 auction for the amount of points I allocated for the prize I wanted. I used 400 points for 2 movie tickets, each point is supposed to be 1 entry to that auction. So in essence I had used my points for 400 entries for 2 movie tickets, that cost no more than $5 each. It didn't give you any indication of how many points others were bidding for those items which was another thing I disliked about it. Unless you like voicing your opinion without nothing in return, then this survey panel is not worth it. |

Waste your time I have been a member for NPD Online Research for 5 months. They send many surveys which are simple and interesting each week. Most of time I did not qualify for surveys, so it is a waste of time for me. You can also play a contest to earn extra cash or points. But you can only put your points into a prize drawing.

Wasn't right for me I was a member of NPDOR for a while. However, I am not really interested in surveys that only offer sweepstakes rewards. And while some of their surveys did pay in cash, it wasn't enough to keep me interested in the site. I just don't have time to sort through all the emails for sweepstakes entries.

Reliable, but not one of the better survey sites This survey site is reliable because it does exactly what it says. You will get points for completing the surveys they send. The only problem I have with it is, those points are only good for entries into their sweepstakes, which I know of no one who has won personally. This is why I stopped participating with this site. I don't like that I do all this work, and still only have a small chance in seeing any reward. The games they have at the ends of surveys are fun looking and graphics-rich, but I feel they are rigged to never give up a prize. They are all games of chance instead of skill, and there's no way of telling if the program is made to never show matches (its a matching game). In short, there are better surveys sites out there if this is what you want to do. Sure, you are never going to strike it rich doing surveys, but at least with other sites, you know you will get paid something. |

If You Don't Mind Working For Free After all these years, I still have trouble understanding why this is one of the most respected survey panels out there. A few years ago, pretty much every survey panel switched over to concrete incentives, like cash or prizes. NPD, on the other hand, has not offered me a single survey that was not for sweepstakes. And it is fairly difficult to win the sweeps considering how many people are doing them. However, if you're one of the people that would prefer the chance to win a lot of money over definitely getting a few bucks, NPD is a quality site.

I have even entered many of the giveaways and nothing. I feel that this is a waste of time. NPD online I have been a member of NPD Online Research for about a year and a half. They send frequent surveys asking about your monthly purchases. They will also occasionally ask about your political views or what TV shows you watch. The surveys are short, which is nice, and you get to play a contest to earn cash or points towards prizes. The thing I don't like about this site is that I have never won any of the prizes nor received any cash for my efforts. I would not bother with this site, except the short surveys are not too time consuming, and I may win someday.

Not great but not bad Everything's laid out so you can get a good idea of what they offer. I like that you get to play various games to win cash and points. I also like that the surveys are relatively short compared to others out there. I don't like that you can't exchange your points for cash. Also, I've never won any of the sweeps after entering, so it seems like a waste sometimes. I guess I'm just hanging in there for the chance as people do win and they list their names. My specific results are that I've gotten quite a few points, used them to try and win and haven't won. Maybe I'll win if I stick with it and it doesn't cost anything but a little time, so overall it's worth it. |
