PeopleString Description

People String is a social networking site founded by business entrepreneur Darin Myman. Headquartered in New Jersey, this social networking site shares ad revenue with its members, and pays commissions to members for recruiting others to it. The website features most of the things that other social networking sites feature, such as being able to update your status at any given time and participate in discussions. It also offers instant-message service consolidation and video email, among some other innovate features.

PeopleString Detailed Overview

There are a lot of social networking sites on the internet today, and more are springing up daily. Those who run the People String social networking site claim that it has a lot of unique features worth looking at. First of all, there are two membership levels in the site; free membership and a paid membership called the “Entrepreneur Package” for a one-time fee of $200. Members get commissions for recruiting paying members to the site. Members also earn a share of the site’s ad revenue, according to how active they are within the site. Commissions are multi-level, meaning that you can have a payable downline a few levels deep, depending on your membership level.

In addition to being able to earn money being a member of People String, there are some features unrelated to earning that are unique. One that stands out is the “self destructing email” feature. You get your own program email address, and you can elect to send an email to someone that will literally self-destruct after a certain amount of time, with a little fire graphic and everything. There could be some practical purposes for that, but most people use it for fun! The program offers video email as well; all you need to use it is a video camera or web cam.

Even if you want to be a paying member of the People String social networking site, you can still sign up for free and then upgrade. Signing up for free means that you can look around a bit before making your final decision. Paid members get significantly higher commissions, more email accounts, and their own domains, among other features.

PeopleString Reputation

People String is not real well known yet, but the people who do belong to it are providing mostly positive feedback. There have been some glitches, which is not surprising with such a large online venture, and none of them seem major. The program does pay its commissions reliably, although nobody is claiming to get rich from them. Trying out the free membership for a while to see how everything works is probably a good idea before jumping into a paid membership.

I have hardly earned a thing

I think the way to do it best is referring users, so if you don't have the time don't bother. I did get the postcard in the mail they said they would send for money, and then I got one more. But the "cash in your mailbox" thing is misleading. I been a member for a year and 2 things in my box? Not worth it.

Just too confusing

Everywhere I turned I kept seeing this site, it was all over gpt sites and it was all over the forums and facebook. I was sick of it so I joined to see what all the hype was about, they were claiming that I could make some serious money just by doing the same stuff I was doing on facebook, yet every time I log in it's the same old crap, cash box email and all that. I have come to the conclusion that this is less of a social site and more of a paid to read site. The site seemed to me nothing like it seemed, with all these negatives I really liked the fact you got paid 50 cents for every referral.

However after I wasted my time there and made a few bucks through referrals I found some other social sites that are exactly what they state and pay even more per referral. I give this site a D+ because it is misleading and pretty much worthless.

This One Is Good

I have been a member of peoplestring for a year now and I think it's great. I log in daily, refer friends and people I network with on social sites, I buy products for which I get discounts for by being a peoplestring member, check my email and get paid for doing it all. What I really like is being able to get paid on referrals six levels deep so I'm not the only one putting money in my account. The revenue sharing has not been bad either. I doubt if I will ever get rich doing this, but the pay is good for supplementing my income, meeting like minded individuals and it's a lot of fun. What I like most is the honesty that is rare in many internet businesses. They're delivering on their promise that you will earn and get paid.

I give it a C

I've been a free member since September, I believe. So far, I've finally reached the minimum payout of $25. I have 22 in my 1st level in my downline, and 4 from my 2nd level. However, only about 3 of them are truly active and have received their card from the mail.

At first I was very excited about this social network. I'm not into social networks but the Mailbox-Cashbox program really intrigued me. They make such hype about it that you can earn $300-$500 a month. How disappointed was I. Supposedly you would get 3 to 5 cards a day, but everything changed and you get the special ads in the Mailbox-Cashbox page instead, and only about 15 have ever been posted.

I don't believe PeopleString is a scam but they sure do false advertisement. I believe the other members suggest this site a lot because they may think that PeopleString will become real big in no time. I was like that, so I understand. However, it's not going to happen soon. MailBox-Cashbox rarely has ads where you input your special code you get from your mail. And without Mailbox-Cashbox, the only way you'll make significant money from this is if you're great at referring American and Canadian members. I'm an American member, by the way.

I use PeopleString every single day (never have I missed a day). I use it as my portal to my other sites (about 25 of them on my 'Favorites' list), my emails, and even the other social networks. Thanks to that, I think I've earned about $4 in ad revenue. The site is pretty neat as a portal site.

As every other paying site, it's always a great idea to check out IMReportCard before you join!

People String - A good idea for the American market

Have been a member for just over a month now, the site sounded like an excellent way to earn a little extra money. Have only taken up the free membership, and whilst the site has some good ideas, as a social networking site it doesn't have the same level of appeal as facebook. As a "business opportunity" site, it appears to be geared up primarily for the American market. As other commentator's have noted, one of it's primary mechanisms for simple-to-earn money relates to the reading of mail, and like others I am still waiting for my "snail mail" card. Will keep it and login occasionally tho', just in case it ever expands in the direction of Europe.

Still trying to figure it out

I joined this site around 7 months ago. I received the initial postcard in my mailbox where they gave me a code to put in a list of sites that they gave me. It does take a while to get this postcard but I haven't received anything since then. I'm still trying to figure out how these people points work. I am now starting to see some money added to my account every month. This amount represents your participation in peoplestring. I guess the more you use it, the higher the percentage of pay you get. I haven't used their email much or their search engine etc. so my monthly payments are only a few cents. I'm sure if I used the site more for my social networking, my monthly payments would add up faster. As it has been said before by others, the real money is in the referrals.

It's a great place

I joined People String with the free membership. It was fun and they offer a lot of ways to make money like referring your friends and family, also you get paid to receive email and view them. Also, they have a cash back program if you do some shopping through them and also by doing google searches through them will give you a few cents. I have 10 dollars in my account but not much because as of today I only have 8 referrals. In order to make good money I believe you will need to have plenty of referrals because 50 cents for each referral is great, plus the money you get for doing all of the extra stuff. If you get a good amount of referrals and view a lot of emails, you'll make some decent money.

Easy and Fun

I joined peoplestring since a week ago under free membership. Right now I have invited 8 friends as direct referrals and 9 friends as level 2 referrals. Within 3 days I get $5.1 through invite friends and follow the survey and now I've got $15.6 (only a week) and I'm sure this income will increase if take the time to visit the peoplestring.

Peoplesting is a fun social network because besides getting the extra money we can also use the features to communicate with another member, can be via private message, fun chat room(I really like this chat room), instant message, other social network.

I predict 1-2 years later that peoplestring will be able to compete with other social networks like facebook and twitter and become the big social network. It's just my prediction.

Slow Earning Except With Referrals

I joined People String just a couple of months ago and have not been making too much money on the site. I have only been getting at least $0.05 to $0.15 each day, which is not a lot. As for referrals, I have not been able to get any active referrals to sign up under me unfortunately. I have heard from other users that they can easily make $1 a day with this site through referrals. Also, the paid emails rarely come to my inbox and they don't pay that much. Overall, People String is a great site for those who can get referrals. Other than those people, I would not recommend this site to others as it is a slow-earning program.

Awesome idea, but hard for 'Non Americans'

People String is a super idea and I joined about half a year ago, I knew already from the start that I couldn't benefit to the fullest because I live in Europe, but I am content anyway. However, I am only a free member, and as a 'Non American' I do not intend to pay the expensive fee to upgrade my membership.

I find the network 'People String' much more interesting than the 'normal' ones (such as Facebook and Twitter) and the social networking is super!

I have found several good internet friends there, and I have also learned a lot from various tips about Internet Marketing.

So I stick around even though I don't earn anything, but as long as I can participate for free I stick around.

I recommend the free membership plan to all.

Has Potential, But a Slow Earner

I've been a PeopleString member for over a year already and guess how much I've earned so far? $2.22. Yes, only over $2. It has a very good potential and their tagline, "Where You Own the Web", is indeed very catchy. However, in order for you to earn from it, you'd have to be a very good internet marketer, get lots of referrals and log in to their system A LOT.

Since I'm not from U. S. or Canada, I can't qualify for most of the surveys they have so there's limited chances for me to earn. I'm sticking to it, though, because it still earns me money. I'd definitely recommend it to internet marketers and those who enjoy social networking with others.

My Thoughts, My Heart, My Turf

Mostly for networking

I have been a member of People String for almost six months now. I was invited by a fellow blogger at the forum I frequent. We were positive at that time that it would be an easy cash with $0.50 per referral and potential cash mails. But it was very difficult to get a referrals, I only got 4 since most on my network already signed in. And the paid emails never seem to reach my mail box.

What I like at People String on the other hand is the network of internet marketers that are always promoting new earning sites, of course it depends on you if you join it or not.

I thought it is better!

I am registered in Peoplestring from 2008. When I found out about this site, I said to myself, what a great site. But I wait and I wait for the letter to come, so I would have my code and start making money. I have never ever received any letter from them.

I inquired them why is this happening and I received a prompt answer. The problem was that my country is not a targeted one, and because there are not many people from my country in peoplestring they do not afford to send such snail mails . So I just earn some money login every day and checking my emails and go to forum. By the way, the forum is a very good source of finding new opportunities. People are very eager to help you. I have found good things in there.

As my status, I am a free member because $200 for upgrading seems to much for me!

I earn money only from revenues, which after 2 years, almost, are only $5. I do not have any referrals, so my earnings are very very slow.

My guess is, it is a good program for those who can create a good network of referrals, from specific countries, like US, because they are paid for taking surveys and to earn some decent money from it.

I love this one

I joined Peoplestring about six months ago. I love the site and the information that is there. There are forums and groups for just about anything you can think of. There are groups for IMRC and lots of business opportunities where you join the group and can get help with that particular program.

The money making is a little bit thin, unless you get a large number of referrals, or if you paid the $200 to be an "Entrepreneur". I joined as a free member and am not in it so much for the money but for the information.

There are training webinars, boot camps and lots of people willing to help you with getting started.

The Mailbox/Cashbox is the "moneymaker" of this program and I have signed up (free) and gotten some money from it, but where they are supposed to send "snail" mail to you for points, I haven't received any yet.

All in all, I recommend PeopleString just for the friendship and the information on every subject under the stars. There are a lot of ways to learn things on there and you do get a small percentage of profit sharing.

The games aren't bad either.

Only good for networking

I've been a member of PeopleString for couple of months now. Like most of the members there, I joined because I hoped that this will be another great way to earn money. However, after a while, that hope has becoming quite impossible for me because at most I could only make about 20 cents in one day. Their rates for receiving Junk mail, participating in the social network, or profile viewing are very low and without referrals, the earning will never satisfy you.

The positive side is, most of the members here usually already have joined some other PT sites and have a good experience with IM. Some of them may even share great tips to other. Hence, I only use this site to socialize with other IM-ers and also trade some referral links with others. Overall, this site is really great for networking with other IM-ers but to earn good money from here would be quite impossible unless you can somehow get at least 100 referrals every month.

Slow Earner But It Definitely Has Potential

I've been with Peoplestring for a while now. I have received my first survey as well as a few extra surveys after that, but I have yet to reach payout. It's a fun atmosphere to earn money as some people are earning $40-$50 a month with Peoplestring, but I just haven't had that experience yet. Peoplestring could very well be the next Myspace or Facebook that pays you for your time other than just holding all the money back themselves. I do like that it is a revenue sharing program as well. I have received a few shares already. I will definitely stick around to see exactly what Peoplestring becomes. I enjoy their social network platform as well as the fact that I am being awarded for all of my activities there. I would only like to see the payout be a little easier to reach. Peoplestring has potential and I will stick it out to the end or at least until the end of the year.

Too slow to earn

After having been through number of advertisements across the internet, I decided to give it a try. After signing in, I was excited to receive the signing bonus and enthusiastic about other ways of earning from the site. It pays to do other online stuff like blogging and commenting but the pay rates are too low. The only good way to earn from the site is by referring others to join under you and earn 50 cents from each signup.

It also pays to receive emails but I haven't come across any signs of getting these emails. My account balance shows a few dollars but I still have a long way to reach my payout. I am also doubtful about their payment mode as they pay via cheque and haven't heard of anyone receiving their payout from the site yet.

The site does not show good signs of paying money so I would not recommend anyone here to invest into an upgraded membership though hanging around as a free member is no harm.

PeopleString

I joined PeopleString last October '09. I just received my first PS payment just for using the site. I now have $9.76 in my account basically for doing nothing more than using the site. It is my homepage. I love it and am on it often. The only thing I don't like is that they make it sound like your CashMail box will always have paid mail in it and except for day one after I received my code, I have yet to see any paid emails. But that is my only complaint about the site.

To me, the greatest benefit if PS is if you are involved in any sites that you need referrals for, PS is a great avenue for getting them. You can create up to 10 Groups in PS and invite other members. I already have the max amount of Groups and for the first time ever, I have lots of referrals in all my sites thanks to PS. Another benefit is if you like to check out what other people are trying for extra cash on the web, you will get loads of invites from other PS members. You can join whatever Groups you want, check out other member's referral links, or block the Groups you don't want to see again.

PS is a great site and it seems to be growing in leaps and bounds. I love it.

Peoplestring- So far not that impressed, has potential

I joined this site a little over a month ago, after seeing numerous ads popping up all over the net and I was intrigued by the idea of simply opening mail for $$$. I've yet to receive any mail as of this date, and I'm wondering if there is some aditional steps I need to take to receive it. My earning thus far are low, however I did receive a $1.50 sign up incentive. The main benefits I see in Peoplestring are the generous referral program (50 cents per new member), and the ability to use social networking as a promotion tool. Since I'm not really into social networking, that aspect for me is limited. The site itself is fairly well designed with games, groups, polls, videos, etc. to increase member participation and networking opportunities. I can see I will have to spend some time and thought advertising Peoplestring to make joining 'pay off' for me . There are other interesting ways to make money with this site that I will have to investigate further.

REALISTIC INCOME FROM HOME BUSINESS- LOCK IN YOUR POSITION TODAY!

Did not work for me

I joined people string as a free member around the middle of last year. It operates as a normal email service and loads up really fast, at first I was attracted to the possibility of earning some money from just opening my mail. The also pay 50 cents per referral and also provide cash back shopping. When I joined they said that there would send me a brochure or something of the sort via physical post, till this day I have not received any mail from this company. I needed to get the mail in order to start earning from their cash box program. May be they do not think I qualify for the program after the survey they made me fill out after signing up. I think this is only open to US residents. Services include integrated instant messaging , video mail and a system called people dollars where you can turn 100 people into just $1.

As for my earnings from using the email service , more specifically viewing mail from paying members. Using the services earns one points not real cash. Last I checked I had just over $4 in earnings. One thing I hate about it is not only the slow pace of earning, but also the payout method options. They mostly pay out via cheque, which they mail to you. This is not going to make you rich but it has the potential to offer a great service for those that want to build a down line.
