Surf Junky Description

Surf Junky is a site that pays its members to surf. The domain was established in September of 2004 by Primo Creations (which is located in Maryland). The site offers an hourly rate for surfing as well as the opportunity to earn points doing other activities. These points can be used to get a higher per hour rate on the members surfing.

Surf Junky Detailed Overview

Members start out making .45 cents per hour and with enough points can make up to .75 cents per hour for surfing websites. Points are earned by logging into the website on a regular basis, signing up for free offers, and other activities (that is what the website states, “other activities” they are not defined). Members also receive payment on 3 levels of referrals, but no exact percentage is given. The site also has an autosite rotation, this means that the member can choose the type of sites he/she wants to see and the rotator will send that type of program.

There is a $25 minimum for cashout and payments for the previous month are made between the 1st and the 15th. They state that they have never been late on a payment and that there is no limit to the amount you can make. But, I was unable to access the advertising packages, so I cannot compare the amount taken in for each ad with the amount paid out. But, .75 cents per hour does seem a bit extreme. A member would have to surf at least 75 sites per hour to be in the one cent range, which is about as high as a reputable pay to surf site can go. But without the numbers, I cannot say exactly.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Surf Junky Reputation

Surf Junky may be paying out correctly, but I could not find any payment proof online. This site is on many watch lists because according to some members, once they reach the $25 threshold they are accused of cheating and their accounts are closed (this is stated in the TOS as standard policy if someone is suspected of cheating). But, on the other hand it is a free program to join, so you will not lose anything other than your time. This may be a program to test in your spare time instead of considering it a major source of income.

Junk like this should stay in the bin

Surf Junky is exactly what it sounds like. Junk. I was promised 45c an hour for surfing the net, and that's what I got. At least, that's what I got on the site. When I went to cash out, I waited 2 months before sending a support ticket to the admin wondering where my money was. No surprise, they never answered. So, I would definitely not recommend this site to anyone.

A real piece of junk

The name itself should post as a warning, but needless to say I joined in Surf Junky. I was enticed with the $0.45 cents a day earning even if it takes an hour. That was pretty much higher than the usual PTC sites, which gives a max of $0.1 a day earning. So I surf and invited online friends. And as soon as I reached the $25 mark, I requested for cash-out. I waited until the 15th of the next month but nothing came to my PayPal account. I tried to send a complaint to the admin but never got a reply.

I should have seen this coming, the rule is never trust a site that never even bothered to think of a nicer name.

Take Surf Junky Out With the Trash!

I joined Surf Junky awhile ago when I was more naive about ways to earn money online. 45 cents an hour, if it were legit, would be just awesome to simply surf the Internet. Unfortunately this is yet another case of something being too good to be true. Their site LOOKS fairly decent, which is what got me when I first signed up, before I knew never to trust a site that doesn't have a forum or more member input going for it. I - like every other person who will use the site - never got paid for participating in the program, which was simple to install and follow, but in the end a complete waste of time. I'm just glad I never got a virus or spyware from using the software.

It's a lousy scam!

I had been working on surfjunky for almost a month and I had reached the minimum payout with no sweat. The work was easy and the site looked pretty good to me. But all my impression about Surf Junky went to trash when I found myself waiting for my money for months! It's been almost a year now and yet I have not received my payment. Moreover I also found many others who were made to look like fools by Surf Junky. Do not waste your time with this worthless site. Surf Junky is a scam.

SURFJUNKY===>>Scam

I was introduced to this site by a friend about two months back. I was happy thinking that I could earn tons of money with no work at all. You get paid to surf the ads in this site, the more ads you surf the more money you will earn. The rates are $0.45 an hour and you'll earn $0.75 if you upgrade. The minimum payout is $25. I religiously surfed their ads so that I could earn as much as possible from this site. I even got referrals to sign up under me.

After about two months on this site I reached my minimum payout, the payout never came. I toiled in this site for two months only to see my account get deleted. Later when I browsed a few sites to check for surfjunkys authenticity, I found out it was a scam. There were many people like me who got their accounts deleted.

I should have been more careful, I got too carried away with the "no work for money idea" that it has left me very frustrated with this site. All I ended up getting from using this site was a very high internet bill. Don't join this site, its a scam.

Surfjunky is junky!

This site was an utter waste of time for me because I never got paid. I am on the internet quite a bit for work and school, so at the time, I thought surf junky would be the perfect answer to earn some extra cash while using the internet. What also attracted me to the site was that I would be starting out at 45 cents an hour, and working my way up to 75 cents. I figured with the length of time I spent online each day, that would add up to some pretty decent cash. In fact, I spent more time online because I was told the more I browsed using their browser, the more I would get paid. I never realized that 45 cents is a pretty high amount for surfing the net. In fact, this was the first paid to surf site I joined.

Getting to the 25 dollar payment was a piece of cake, and when I requested payout for the amount I had made (34.55) it never came to my paypal account. Of course, according to the junky site, it told me my payment was already sent.

I decided to take a break from surfing using surf junky to do a research on surfjunky to see what others were saying and the consensus was pretty much the same: Surf junky won't pay it's members.

Although I did not spend any money to be a part of this site, I did spend time, and to me, wasted time is costly. Thanks a lot surf junky.

Join a ptc site that actually works!

Want two awesome ways to make some extra cash? Well here it is!

This site is really misleading

At first I thought this site would be legit since the payout is a fair amount, and it doesn’t take that long to reach. I joined since I heard positive of them in someone’s blog, but I don’t think they had been paid yet. I reached the $25 payout pretty quickly and requested it. After waiting a few weeks (and after the 15th), I didn’t receive my payment in my PayPal account. I contacted them many times, but I received no response, and still no payment. They have no forum, and their contact form is really a dead end. At least it didn’t take me that long to reach the payout, so I didn’t waste too much time with them. This site just steals your time and attention, so don’t bother with them!

Never got paid

I came across this page by stumbling upon it and it seemed like a pretty legit site. I only say this because all of the payments were reasonable and they also didn't offer you 48905304985908350 dollars for every referral or whatever.

Not until later did I find out that I was very wrong. After being with this site I realized that 45 cents an hour is a lot.

After a few days I was already able to cash out. Like all those other scam sites... I was never paid. I've tried to reach the company numerous of times, but they have not replied to me.

I am extremely disappointed in this site, and I would never recommend this site to anyone.

Waste of time

I joined surf junky at the beginning of this year. I used the site for about a week and I have $3.43 in my account. They start you off with 45 cents per hour, and I currently have 5 activity points and is 95 points away from making 50 cents per hour. This site to me is a waste of time. After I started to see more and more complaints on them from users who never received what was owed to them I decided to stop using the site. I have sent the site owner a question over 3 months ago and I still have not heard from anyone. I would not recommend them to anyone, because if they don't feel as if it's important enough to respond back to one of their members, I don't think they will feel it's important enough for them to pay us either.

SurfJunky is Junky

I joined this website awhile ago and lost interest quickly. When I first joined, I kept getting internal errors messages. That always raises concerns for me as typically I have trouble with sites when I get an error message. I also noticed another IMRC reviewer had a similar experience.

I finally gained access to the site and was offered . 45 hourly for surfing. At this point I was rather annoyed and decided to do a search about SurfJunky.

I found plenty of dissatisfied users who claimed they were not paid by SurfJunky. Once again I felt anxious about the site. I do not like to participate in a website when one or two people indicate they were not paid. When you find many people complaining, I long ago decided it's smart to steer clear. Although it is a free site to join, time is money and a precious commodity I don't want to waste.

The wisest folks learn from the mistakes of others. I decided to stop participating in SurfJunky since there are so many other legitimate ways to earn money online. From the reviews I read here today, I definitely made the right decision.

Looks can be deceiving

I found Surf Junky about 2 months ago on Google because I was in desperate need of a little extra money. I clicked on the link leading to Surf Junky, and I found the site pretty promising, at least by the look of the website.

Surf Junky seemed pretty promising to pay since they mentioned on their website that they have payed every single member on time without having them wait for weeks. The minimum pay out is $25 and payment is sent to every member who has over $25 automatically on every 15th of each month.

I decided this wasn't bad since they did promise they would pay on time. I decided I had nothing to lose, so I signed up and began surfing their sponsors. On the first month, I made $26.45 and according to Surf Junky they had sent the payment to me, but when I checked my Paypal, I had never received my money on the 15th or 16th, or any other day after the 15th. I soon realized I was tricked, and found out that I did had something to lose, my precious time.

I would not advise anyone out there to try Surf Junky, because I was never paid and probably never will be.

Never seen a penny

I found this website from a work at home forum. I thought 45 cents an hour to do what I already do surf the internet was decent pay. I am on the computer for 8 hours while I work plus I have a computer at home so I figure I could make decent pocket cash with this. I reached the $25 payout mark quickly and I requested payout and I never received a dime myself. When I tried to contact support to ask why I have not heard back as of yet. After not receiving my pay I began to see many complaint on the web from other who did not receive their pay either so I am pretty sure I will not receive my pay. I am just thankful that I did not loose any money to join this website but I'm sorry I wasted my time checking this out.

The site doesn't work

Surf Junky was clearly a waste of my time. I signed up, and I´ve tried to surf, unfortunately every single time I click on "Start the surf junky browser", all the links are broken. It shows in the top that it's surfing, however it doesn't show any ads or websites on the browser. No wonder most people are not getting paid, there are no ads to surf. Should have listened to people´s comments on the website. I will let it surf for an hour and see if it shows in my account. No harm in trying.

It Looked Promising, But Isn't

I joined this site through a friend who was claiming up and down that they pay and that she had already received 2 payouts from them. Of course later I found out that it was all a lie.

My time here resulted in reaching a total of $40 and not ever being paid for it. I waited a month an a half, and still no payout. I emailed, and no one replied back. I then found out that my friend never got paid at all. I wasted my time with this one.

I like the layout, it's pretty and makes the site seem promising and legit, almost a welcoming professional feeling. Unfortunately, that's not the case when you join this program.

I don't like that they promise big and don't deliver.

I recommend you stay back, as tempting as it looks, stay far back!

Most likely a scam!

This was one of the first sites that I signed up to in my online earning venture, and I am very glad that I did not waste hardly any time here. I could not even sign up at first, as whenever I tried to sign up it said internal error. This happened for over 2 weeks. This was my first problem with the site, so I did some digging and found that there are no payment proofs anywhere, and no one claims to have been paid by them. I decided to give it a go anyway, and I was finally able to complete the sign up page. When I finally got into the site I was disappointed to see that I would only be paid . 45 cents per hour surfed, instead of . 75 cents as the site promised on the homepage. After earning about 5 dollars I gave up on this site as I did not want to waste my time with a site that probably wouldn't pay me and the earnings were actually relatively slow. My advice would be to stay away from this scam.

Surf Junky is pretty lame

I signed up for Surf Junky thinking that it would be a great way for me to make a little extra money. I thought to myself that 45 cents an hour was pretty good for a pay to surf site. The minimum payout of $25 was not hard for me to reach at all. Within a few weeks I requested my payment and waited about 4 weeks and I received nothing. I am sad to say that Surf Junky is a total scam. To this day I still have never received any money from them. I would not recommend Surf Junky to anyone.

Surf Junky never pay me!

I came across Surf Junky about a year ago & found out that it is an autosurf program with a very high surfing rate (even higher than manual surfing rate). I joined it immediately thinking that I have found a fast & easy way to earn cash. All I need to do is just go on the Surf Junky browser & it will rotate automatically. After passing each hour, I will receive the promised $0.45-0.75.

I managed to hit the minimum payout of $25 within a week because I kept the browser on for about 10-15 hours a day. Then, I decided to stop using it until I received their payment. However, until today I have never receive any payment from them.

I am unhappy with Surf Junky because it is a scam, but I don't regret joining it because I did not put much effort in it anyway.

Stay Far, Far Away!

SurfJunky was one of the first websites I saw while trying to earn money online. It promised so much for an internet newbie that I got compelled to join in a second. And I started surfing and surfing and staring at my balance. It was when I had about $10 or something that I thought about this being a scam. I googled up 'SurfJunky scam' and began browsing. The results all said that SurfJunky was a scam. But I was still intent on getting money for surfing, so I continued surfing though there was a nagging doubt in my mind from thereon. Finally one of my friends who was also using the website alerted me on this being a scam, and after reading all those reports, I was finally sure that it was. Well, I was a bit sad and angry but it proved as an important lesson in my Internet money making future!

Keep away from Surf Junky if you value your sanity

More than one year ago I was a naive Internet surfer. I believed the information given on Surf Junky. Without making any research on the site I became a member.

There was one requirement. Surf Junky requires Internet Explorer to be completely functional. I used Avant. This should have raised at least one red flag for Internet savvy people.

Since I am fairly active on the Internet, my 'earnings' racked up pretty fast. Unfortunately, even after several months of reaching payout, I was never paid. My interest on the site faded after I read the reviews made by other users. One even pointed out that with the advertising rate charged by Surf Junky, there is no way they can afford to pay the members.

After installing McAfee Site Advisor I found out that this site is dangerous. Maybe that is what is meant by 'other activities', where a member's computer becomes host to various malware.

I say keep away from this site.

No pay for me

I joined Surf Junky over the summer and thought that it would be a great way for me to earn while I was online. I knew I would not make a whole bunch, but sometimes it is nice to have a few extra dollars. Well I never earned anything from them. I am still waiting for the payment. You have to have $25 in your account to cash out, and they say they have paid everyone on the 15th of the month. I guess I was just overlooked then. If you could get paid this would be wonderful. It did not work for me though.
