Survey Savvy Description

SurveySavvy is a free to join online survey company. It was established in 1999 by parent company Luth LLC which is based out of San Diego California. Market research leader Luth LLC was founded by Rosanne Luth (who is also the President of the company) in 1977. SurveySavvy is a BBB member in good standing and they currently have 1.5 million members in 190 countries.

Survey Savvy Detailed Overview

To get started with SurveySavvy the only criteria is that you be over the age of 14 and have access to an email account and internet service. You do have to confirm your membership before you start and you may have to go through a telephone confirmation before some surveys. Once you confirm your membership then you will need to fill out your member portrait. The member portrait is basically a profile of yourself, you will be asked your age, gender, marital status, work status, income, and the type of computer you use. This “portrait” will be used to pre-qualify you for surveys. You can expect to get a few surveys each month (though it will vary according to your “portrait” and the needs of marketing companies) with an average payment of $2 - $20 per survey. You will have to go through a qualification survey before you can take the actual survey, but if you don't pass the qualification survey you will be entered into a monthly drawing to thank you for your time. They draw 50 names and each one will receive $10.

After you have taken a survey (and the amount is over $1) you can request a payout. They only payout in US dollars and by check. You can expect to receive your check in about 4 – 6 weeks.

Survey Savvy Reputation

SurveySavvy is considered to be one of the most reputable survey companies online. They pay well for surveys (if you qualify) and they pay within a reasonable amount of time. The only complaint I could find about the company is that you may get very few surveys. Some people may get 2 or 3 a week while others will only get 2 or 3 a year. If you fall into the latter group you may want to tweak your portrait a little bit. The only other issue I came across is that after you join you can expect some spamming emails. Other than that, this is a good company to work for.

Definitely pays

I've been a member of Survey Savvy for quite a long time. But to be honest, until recently I had kind of forgotten about it as I had not received any surveys for quite a while. In the last few months I've started receiving surveys on a regular basis again, but find that I rarely qualify. However, I checked the balance on my account and found that I had $14.50 due to me. I cashed out and had the payment in less than two weeks! So, hopefully they will continue to send more surveys that I can qualify for.

I give it an A

I have been a member of this survey site for two years, which is my favorite survey site. Survey Savvy is pretty legitimate so that you can receive your payment with a check on time. Each week I get 3 to 5 survey invitations via e-mail and each survey is $2. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for many surveys so it is a little difficult to reach payout. The surveys of Survey Savvy are easy and interesting. I have received 2 checks for $10 and I always receive payment in 4 to 6 weeks. They have a great referral program, so I give it an A.

If I only got some surveys

Much like a lot of the reviewers here, I had signed up for Survey Savvy hoping to make some extra money. I filled out all of the "portrait" surveys and expected to get quite a few invitations. I live in Canada and have a high-paying job. But, alas, like a lot of the people reviewing this site, I have not gotten a single email from Survey Savvy to this date. This makes me wonder if they have been selling my private info to other companies. I would highly suggest not signing up for this site, as it may be an info scam.

Not a money maker

I had joined this site. You have to answer some questions before the survey, that was fine. I stuck with it for 6 months, and not once did I "qualify" to take a survey. I am not sure what they are looking for, but you would at least expect to get one survey in 6 months!

Pretty Good Site

I have been with Survey Savvy for a while now and get Survey invitations at least 3 to 4 times per week. The surveys do generally pay quite well as compared to other sites, but qualifying can sometimes be a pain. At least for me anyway. This is usually do to demographics and people in other areas I have heard do rather well with qualifying.

Survey Savvy pays on time, every time, but it can take about 4 or more weeks. This is fast considering some take as much as 8 weeks to mail a check.

Customer service can be a little slow at responding, but this is probably due to the volume of emails they receive each day. They do get back to you eventually though.

I would recommend this site to anyone that is in to taking surveys. It's a great way to make a few extra bucks here and there along the way.

Very legit and they pay

I like survey savvy, however I must agree that surveys do not come often, but my suggestion is to check your junk email because sometimes my invites go there. Besides that, I have no issues with the survey website. I like the surveys that I take and they do not take extremely long to complete. Also, most survey offers I receive are well over $2 which is great. I received 1 check for $10, and yes it does take over a month for them to process your payout request and mail the check off to you, but they do pay.

A Quality Survey Panel

Reading through the comments here it seems that a lot of people aren't crazy about Survey Savvy. I, on the other hand, really like them. Although their surveys are not that frequent, they are fast and easy to complete and they pay fairly well. And, in my experience, the more you attempt to qualify for, the more invitations you will get in the future. They also have an excellent referral program which really makes them stand out among other survey sites. You can really earn a lot this way. Overall, I think this is a quality, respected survey panel that is actually one of the better ones out there.

Can't qualifty enough to reach payout!

I joined Survey Savvy several months back because I love survey sites. I found Survey Savvy and decided to go with it because it seemed like a good site for doing surveys and I'm always looking to add more survey sites to my list.

Well unfortunately you have to wait for surveys to be emailed to you. That's the first downfall. I very rarely receive surveys from them, which makes it difficult to even try to do them. When I do receive a survey, it's usually about once or twice a week, I rarely qualify for it.

I feel that if they're sending you the survey it should be because you're profile matches what the survey requires, so you should automatically qualify.

Survey Savvy is very much about updating your profile so they can send you more surveys. If this is really the case then they should only be sending you surveys you qualify for.

Now a days when I do get a survey from them in my email I just pass it up. It's not worth my time to "see if I qualify. "

Overall I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with Survey Savvy. You'll most likely be disappointed and won't be making any money for it!

Quick to dry up

To begin with I thought I had finally fallen on something good, a survey sight which may actually do what it says it will and to begin with this was the case. After joining I waited, not worrying about the lack of surveys because I knew that these things do not happen so quickly, and I was right. When I did my first survey I didn't qualify but the next I did, so I was reassured; however, this did not last. Soon I started to find I hardly qualified for any. Less and less surveys seemed to be in my reach, and even when they were the pay out was not worth the wait. I have now become savvy myself and left. I wouldn't advise anyone to seek them, however I would not tell them to never join if they so wished. Who knows, they may have a better experience? For me however, I have found they are in fact like so many other sites of their kind, not worth it.

Thousands of dollars made here

I have to say this is the survey site I have made the most money from. It's a three tier referral program. Over the course of ten years I have earned thousands of dollars and all the money came from my referrals taking the surveys or their referrals taking surveys. I personally don't get many surveys, so I am really earning for doing nothing. It doesn't get much better than that!

Not impressed so far

I joined Survey Savvy about a couple of months ago after hearing good things about the site. I heard that they are reputable and reliable to deal with, so I figured I can't go wrong. Well, I've yet to qualify for one of their surveys and I have probably received about 5 so far. One reason may be that a lot of the surveys appear to be ones that are available on other survey sites that I'm a member of, so I may have already taken them elsewhere. That does not bode well for Survey Savvy because that would mean that they are just recycling surveys already out there. I am a newer member so hopefully the number of invitations will increase in the future, so I will see what happens. But if something positive does not happen soon I will drop them. There are too many other sites out there to waste time with one not producing.

Not bad, not great

I actually don't have much to say about Survey Savvy because it occurs to me, writing this, that--despite reading other reviews (not so much here, but where other people have recommended various paid-survey sites) that raved about Survey Savvy, I really don't have much experience with it. This is largely because I don't get survey e-mails from them very often and I'm not sure if I've ever qualified for a survey. No, I take that back--I just checked my account and it turns out I have a whopping $2.50 in there, $1 of which was for a survey I completed (the rest from referrals--I had no idea I had any successful referrals). Their referral system must be good, based on that--I earned $1.50 from two surveys by my referrals, which isn't bad as such things go. The site's fairly well organized, but I haven't earned much from them, and that's the important part, isn't it?

Where's my Survey?

I joined this site 2 months ago. As I was searching for survey sites, this was the only survey site that accepts international members. To quote Survey Savvy, "We strive to allow members from all points on the globe to participate". I was really happy, so when I registered I immediately completed the portrait surveys so that I could have a better chance to qualify. They were long and it took me an hour to complete, but I didn't mind it then. I checked my mail everyday, but days passed and I haven't got any surveys. It's been 2 months and I'm still not able to participate in any surveys.

Most of the surveys I took on my portrait asked me about my preference on electronics or gadgets. It also asked me about my monthly income. My income is low, and I live in a third-world country. Maybe that's why I don't get to qualify on surveys. But I wouldn't lie just to get qualified. It's been a huge disappointment for me.

Not So Savvy

It's one thing to get paid for a survey and it's another thing to actually be qualified to take the survey. I never understood why one has to qualify for a survey.

So I joined Survey Savvy back in 2007, and I figured that they would be a good money maker site. I even managed to get others to sign up under me, but to no avail did I ever qualify for one survey, even my referrals never seemed to qualify.

All this resulted in me not only NOT qualifying for a survey but also wasting my time with this. I only joined because the site gave me the impression that it was promising, sadly it was not that way at all.

This site may be savvy for some, but it was not savvy for me! I regret ever having wasted my time. I won't tell you not to join this site, but I will tell you that you may not always, if at all, qualify for a survey.

Not a single survey for me!

I joined this site over a year ago. This is the first survey site that I joined with. I was really excited and went out of the way to get as many referrals as I could. I got 10 referrals who signed up under me, so I was really confident that I would be making extra money out of this site. One month has passed and no available survey for me, I don't know maybe I just didn't qualify for any of the surveys that particular month. 2 months and still no survey. I completed the member portraits (profile enhancers) so I could qualify for surveys and still no survey. 3 months have passed and still no survey. Same with the people that I referred on this survey site. They did not get a single survey. I feel so embarrassed because I told them that they would be making money just by completing surveys. Maybe they do not give surveys to people in my country.

I read in the forums that other members got paid. Some are very happy with this site. Some get 10 surveys to complete in one week. I know this site is legit, but it scammed me and my friends.

Paid by them once

I know Survey Savvy is a legit company. I have been paid once by them and just submitted another request to get paid. They do not seem to send me surveys as much as they did when I first signed up and I do have trouble qualifying for some of them. But it is nice to know that they really do pay. Plus I like the fact that I did not need a minimum in my account before I could cash out. I wish they did PayPal though, as I do not like waiting for a check.

Nothing Too Savvy

See, this site is the reason why survey sites get a bad name! Not one invitation, so I can't even complain about not qualifying! A change in profile, some additions and updates to my profile, and still nothing! I do receive a few adverts from the site, but nothing with "A survey Is Waiting For You" in the header! Now, it's been so long since I've even gotten spam that my email box just sends whatever I get from them to the spam folder! What a waste of time registering and completing the profile, they need to just close this one down!

Survey Savvy not a big moneymaker for me

I have been a member of Survey Savvy for at least a year and half. I have been paid $20 for two ten dollar surveys. Their surveys are a little more lucrative than the average survey site. They have a good referral program but do not send surveys very frequently. I find that I do not qualify for most of the surveys they send. They are a legitimate site though and have a good rating with the Better Business Bureau. I think they are worth joining, you might be lucky and make some money or you may not and just be a member of their site. I was told by a member not to fill in the profiles or you will get much fewer survey opportunities.

Disappointing

In the entire time I have belonged to Survey Savvy, I have only ever qualified for 1 survey. Granted, it was a high paying survey ($35) but 1 survey in over a year? It seems that the are more interested in you referring people to boost your account balance. They constantly remind you that you can earn more by referring your friends and family. I won't tell people not to join but I will say not to hold your breath on earning a lot on this site.

If I ever earn on there, it'll be a phenomena

I joined Survey Savvy about a year ago and in that time, I can't say I've earned anything with them. I did get one or two invitations to complete a survey, but didn't qualify.

Portraits are sections you complete on Survey Savvy in order for them to learn more about you and therefore send you more surveys that are in fitting with your profile. I filled out most of the 'portraits' to see if I'd stand more of a chance of receiving & qualifying for more surveys, but that didn't seem to make a blind bit of difference.

Another thing with the portraits is that there's no way of knowing which ones you've actually completed until you go into each portrait. A simple tick beside each successfully completed portrait would have sufficed.

No doubt there are probably some people Survey Savvy works for, but for me, it's a write-off.

There Are Savvy

I have not had a pleasant experience with Survey Savvy. They send me very few invites, and being a member of over 50 survey sites sometimes sites like this fly under ones radar. I have attempted surveys from them in the last year, all with a $3 award, but have never completed one yet! Until recently, I wasn't paying much attention to them until I managed to get to the very end of a 1 hour long survey. Just as I reached the end and hit the submit survey, I was brought back to the very first page. I contacted support, but they ignored my pleas claiming I never completed the survey. I don't trust this site, Beware they are Savvy.

Just OK Site

There really wasn't anything I would've wanted to know before joining that I couldn't find via the site's home page.

I like that they do send email invitations for surveys at least a couple times a month and that I can log in and see my account balance.

I don't like that the only things listed in my account balance are the number of surveys I've taken and the dollar amounts already paid to me. This makes me have to copy and paste the confirmation page (after completing a survey) in a folder until the payment shows up in my account.

My specific results after being a member for almost 2 years now are that I've made a total of $21.50 and have never won one of the fifty $10 prizes. I had them send me a check at $10.50 (no problems encountered), and have since made $11 more. I haven't tried to refer others into it like they want you to, but if I had referrals I doubt it would make much difference if they got as few surveys to do as I have. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone unless they want to make a little money very, very slowly.
