Yuwie Description

Yuwie - founded in October of 2007 - is a social networking site that pays you for using it. How this works is that you open a free account and build your profile (just like you would on Facebook or Myspace). Then you invite your friends, start using Yuwie, and all revenue generated by the advertising on the site is shared among the members. The more members you have viewing your pages, the more money you can make and you make money on all of your referrals down to ten levels.

Yuwie Detailed Overview

Yuwie is growing consistently; it is currently at 927,410 members and gains an additional ten thousand or so every month. The process to join is quick and simple, and you can have your profile up in just a few minutes. Just like with any other social networking site members can make a custom profile, blog about their activities, post on message boards, or email their friends except in the case of Yuwie members get paid for all of these activities. In fact, members make money every time they add a friend, post to their own blog or others peoples blogs, upload pictures, upload videos, send messages, or send comments.

There is a lot of content available on Yuwie for the members to use. There is a toolbar that is free to download which will keep members apprised of new stuff happening in the world of Yuwie. There are hundreds of clubs on the site for just about any hobby or interest you may have. I even found clubs that solely exist to help members build their friends lists. Now, that is networking with ease. There are some pretty interesting games on the site as well as videos to watch. And, to keep you entertained as you interact with all your peeps (or future business partners), there is Yuwie radio.

As I stated earlier, members make money according to the number of page views they generate. The amount made per view varies, but it usually avereages out to about 50 cents per 1000 page views. Earning reports are generated between the 10th and 15th of the month for the previous months activities and payments can be made via check or Paypal. I could not find a minimum amount required to request a payout.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Yuwie Reputation

I could not find any negative comments regarding Yuwie other than regarding the server speed. I personally do not have the fastest internet in the world, but even I could tell that it does take a while for the pages to load. But, other than that everyone seems to enjoy Yuwie. It has a strong membership base, and it is an easy way to make a little extra money playing on the computer. If you are going to network anyways, you may as well make some money as you do it. Just invite your friends from all your other social networking sites, and watch the earnings add up.

Very Lame Social Networking Site

I tried Yuwie and never made anything. It's a huge waste of time to me because there's no point in "trying" to socialize just to make a couple pennies. The payout is very, very low, and it's not worth the time to even try. Unless you are some super-social-networker that lives on Yuwie, you are not going to make much money at all.

Ok, but not a huge earner

I really liked Yuwie when I first started. I met a lot of cool people and was part of contests and stuff. My main problem with Yuwie is that it is soooo slow. It would freeze up my computer and take forever to post anything. So nothing negative... but not positive either.

Wasn't Satisfied At All

I joined Yuwie on it's pilot month hoping it would let me earn passive income. I said to myself if I spend way too much time on MySpace and Friendster, why not devote my time instead to a site with a similar concept and get paid for doing the same things I do over at the 2 other sites. I readily spruced up my profile and sent my friends my referral links because I was rearing to make a big go over at Yuwie.

However, I soon found out that the time spent there wasn't worth it at all. I've gained thousands of page views from October of 2007 up to this day, but I've only earned a little over $0.50! Clearly, their system wasn't working at all for me, and I wasn't satisfied at all. I've stopped logging into my account a long time ago, although I still occasionally visit the site to see what's new.

Bottomline, if what you're looking for is a place to really earn and make your time online worthwhile, go check out other opportunities.

Yuwie should be called Yuckie

As silly as that sounds, I believe it is true. :) Yuwie is boring, there is not much to do other than comment and message, share pictures, and be shown boring ads. The earnings are quite laughable too. If it had Apps and games like MySpace and Facebook, it would be worthwhile, maybe.

Will take you a lifetime to earn the min pay out

I joined Yuwie a year ago because I read this article saying that he was making over $1,000 every month. It really attracted me and really excited me that I might be able to make money too. After about 4 months being member with Yuwie and spending long hours in the first month, all I got was $1.30 cents, so I just called it quits and decided to spend my time somewhere else.

To make money in Yuwie you need to have plenty of referrals because those I managed to meet on the net and who proved they got paid, it shocked me the number of refs they had that helped them to reach the pay out. One I remember got over 300 refs and even then he says that it's still bit slow. I wasn't really good in getting refs, so I just told myself it wasn't the place for me.

Yuwie is good if your intention is totally to socialize, but if your intention is to make money with them, just don't bother because you will just end up being so disappointed.

Pretty much worthless

There is no point in pursuing making money on Yuwie. You basically get a penny for every comment you get and make to people. In all, how long will that take to make cashout? Way too long! I only got to a $1 when I gave up. It is exactly like Myspace and people are only going to want to talk to you if you put time into your profile. I canceled my account.

Honestly, I never got into it

I joined Yuwie because one of my referrals from another site gave me a link and asked me to join. So I decided to.

It works basically like myspace and a hi5 account, where you can create your own profile info, pick out your background and everything. I thought that was pretty neat, and I had fun creating my profile, adding in pictures of my favorite bands.

As a social networking site it's o. k.

However, as an earning site, there's nothing really to rave about. You would have to be socializing on Yuwie day and night in order to make any decent cash, and unless you have a million friends, and a million people viewing your page, don't expect to make anything but a few cents here and there.

I started using it, got really into it, but got tired of it because my main objective was to make money on there, not to socialize. If you are the type of person where you are a social butterfly and you like talking to a bunch of people, I would join the site with that intention, not the intention to make money. If your intention is to make money on here, you will be disappointed.

Slow earnings

The problem with a site that promises to pay people for participating is that everyone will be there for the money and not for the benefits that they'll get from the participation. MySpace and Facebook don't pay their members but they're doing so well in the networking scene.

This is the problem with Yuwie. You earn from participating on the site and you persuade your friends to join based on the fact that you're paid to participate but when your friends join and they don't earn much, they give up and quit. I join too on that basis. I thought I can earn but I was truly disappointed at the result. After one month of logging in religiously everyday, I don't even earn 1 cent. I don't refer people to the site because I don't like to beg people to join and after experiencing the slow earning, I would be ashamed to ask people to join this site.

When I first came to the site, the video that was on the homepage took forever to load, I almost gave up. But I thought I would wait because in the end it would be worth my while because I will start to make money participating on this site. Oh was I wrong! The meager amount I made proves that this site is not making money from it's advertisers so it's not as popular as it claims to be. Don't be misled by the number of members they claim they have. I think most of the members joined and then quit after a while. So the number of active members may be less that what is claimed on the site.

The only way I think to earn big here is to have many thousands of referrals under you. I don't so I don't earn at all. If you already have many friends online, you may want to consider joining this site and make money but otherwise join if you love to network.

Fun site.. but takes long to earn

Yuwie is a fun site. It's a great social network and if you can get paid to use it even better, however I really would not recommend using it solely for the purpose of earning. The amount you will earn with this site is VERY little.. and it will even take a long time to earn it.

Personally, I joined Yuwie after seeing it on someone's blog, and I've used it a few times, but haven't really made any earnings from it. I uploaded a couple of my pictures, added a few friends, and posted a blog, however, I haven't even earned 50 cents yet.

If you're into meeting new people and making friends online, this is a great place for you to join, but if you're focused on just making money, I really don't recommend it!

Make Money Online Free, Fast and Easy! - testimonial of a skeptic!

Not bad but not Great

I only joined Yuwie because I thought I would make money to do the same things I do on Facebook. I am on Facebook everyday chatting w/friends, viewing pics and I play games when I have time. So I thought this website would be cool to do all of the for money. Well, I signed up loaded some pictures and I had a few friends join too. I use to log in every day but then it slowly started to decrease. I don't have hundreds of friends on Facebook so I didn't have many people to refer to this website. Also, It does take forever for me to load pictures on this website and even the games take awhile to load. Also, as noted you will not make any real money doing this. So far I racked up only a few cents not even one whole dollars since I joined 2 months ago. Since I can't make any real money on this social networking site I really don't want to be apart of it anymore so I think I will go ahead and close out my account soon.

Nothing really special

I joined Yuwie because I had hundreds of friends from other social networking sites and thought that I would be able to earn a lot from this site. I wasn't really expecting to get rich from it, but I did expect to at least get some decent earnings what with the hundreds of friends and all. But I was wrong. The site simply wasn't that appealing to my friends (they prefer Facebook), and probably due to the slow loading of the site, most just didn't bother anymore. So because I wasn't earning any more than $. 50 in the first few months that I joined, I just let go of the site altogether. I just didn't think it was worth my time for the small amount of money it paid. But if they improve the site and provided their members more options, and more fun games, I bet they would be a hit.

Eh... Not IMpressed

I joined Yuwie about a year ago. I think I joined it because of a paid to sign up link through another program I was a member of. The idea is good. Social networking is incredibly popular and addictive, so why not get paid for it? But the site is loaded with ads that are distracting, and I could never bring myself to invite any of my friends. I guess I was just embarrassed to be a member. At the time and even now the ads just seem overwhelming, so it just feels fake and like a scam. It also isn't as user friendly and does not have as much of a natural interface as Facebook or MySpace. I guess I just don't get it.

Meet some cool people

I have been a member on Yuwie for only a little while. I originally joined to make some pocket change. After being up there a little while, I realized that you don't really earn that much unless you invite a lot of people. I would recommend this site to others because they have been around for a while and they have paid some of their members. I, on the other hand, have not cashed out there yet. If you are thinking about joining just for the money, then don't expect to make much. Overall they are an pretty good site because you get to socialize with your friends and meet new people, and you make money as you go along, it just takes a while. If you like myspace and facebook then you will like Yuwie except you get paid for your participation.

I never got hooked on Yuwie

Several months ago someone invited me to Yuwie. I checked out the site and decided to give it a try. You are greeted by a video where this guy tells you how the site works. However, he makes it sound like a site where it is possible to earn thousands of dollars (of course with many referrals) which I feel is a little misleading, as what he described would only happen in a perfect world.

After sign up I found the site a little difficult to understand. It is loaded with advertisements, and the site looked a little messy to me. I went ahead and started a 'blog' there.

After a few days I stopped logging in. I don't think the site was laid out very well, and there were just way too many advertisements there. Another thing- I could never figure out how you get paid. The help section did not answer a lot of my questions. Considering all this, Yuwie is not a site I would recommend.

Fun for awhile... but not my cup of coffee

Yuwie was very popular when it first came out, there were ads all over when they first launched in October of 2007. I decided to give it a try.

In late October 2007 I joined this site, I felt that networking would be fun and joining groups of interest would be even better. Yes, even making money seemed easy. I enjoyed this site for about 6 months, but never once reached the payout level which was $10 at the time. I made $1.25 in six months, I told myself if it takes that long to make a buck then it will take ages to make $10. Networking got less and less, and then everything seemed inactive. So I stopped going to this site. I don't miss it. I do miss the networking though.

I like that they are a network and they allow you to make groups of interest, and now they lowered the payout, so that's great! However, I was just not as into this site after awhile.

I'll recommend it for some people, it may work out for you, but for me, it's not my cup of coffee.

Yuwie Isn't Bad, It's just Not My Cup Of Tea

I joined Yuwie back in 2007 and it wasn't all that bad at that time. Server speed was very slow, and the site was clearly about leaving short messages to get credited for a page view. Earnings back then were quite small and there were many months were my earnings were less than 25 cents.

I did enjoy Yuwie for a while because the site allowed members to join or start clubs, and I started a craft club and joined a couple others. These clubs were actually fun and it didn't seem like the members were only participating for the money.

Unfortunately, these members disappeared, mostly because the earnings were so low. Yuwie members often complained back then of the slow server speed and some claimed to have picked up viruses from some of the pages.

After a while Yuwie began turning into a site where members promoted their online business programs, and there was an influx of teens/early 20-somethings that commandeered the activity on the site. Despite lowering the payout to $5 (from $10, I believe) I stopped going to Yuwie about 18 months ago. If memory serves me, I believe I had earned less than $2.25 during my time there.

It may be great for some, but a site like myLot is more for my taste. At least the earnings come a lot quicker and some of the people are more open and down to earth.

Grade- C. Average at best... at it's worse it was a D+.

Hard to earn money from this site

I joined Yuwie not long after it started. At that time many people were talking good about it. I decided to give the site a try, to see if the claims were true. Many people would want to earn money, especially if for doing something they usually do. Yuwie was supposed to breaking the ground in Internet Marketing.

Late 2007 the site was even slower to upload. The speed has improved, but is still relatively slow.

The earnings claim proved to be highly exaggerated. Members need to have many active referrals to achieve a decent rate of income. I had 2 inactive referrals. Even though I was active for several months, my earnings remained at zero.

The social site of Yuwie is nothing to be proud of. The majority seems to be interested in earning money as much as possible. Many were posting single sentences consisting of several words. I became tired of reading the same response again and again.

On the plus site Yuwie is not totally worthless. There are good information or links in the postings. Unfortunately a member has to sift through many postings before finding any.

In summary this site is average for looking for more links, but a bit lame on earning money through it's revenue sharing program.

Get Ready for the Spam Fest

Yeah, I hated the speed too. But since this was supposed to be a networking site, and we were getting paid to do it, I stayed on after joining for a month just to see if waiting through the load times would really be worth it. Turns out not. I may have logged in about once or twice a week if there were some actual conversation and networking going on, but all I saw were many people shouting about what they had to offer, and no one really paying attention to what anyone else was saying.

So after trying time and again during that month to strike up at least one intelligent conversation, either on or off yuwie, I gave up.

Marketers, Are You Ready For The Truth?

Do Not Expect to Make Big Bucks With Yuwie

I joined Yuwie 11 months ago, it was "the next big thing" due to the fact that they would pay revenue shares to members. I quickly built up my friends list to 75 friends and then somewhat plateaued, I didn't mind the slow down because I wanted to see what the revenue sharing program would look like. After two months I had accrued $. 01 from Yuwie. I guess this is okay, if you enjoy the service and can get all your friends to use it with you, but I was more interested in the making money aspect, and that amount did not cut it.

The social network works okay, a little slow on profile loads and mail, but all in all it was not bad. The blogging section worked great, and was perfect for listing any make money programs you may be involved in, links to all programs are permitted here in the blog section. If the site worked just a little faster and made money for members a little quicker... I would probably still use it, as it is, I have not used it in about 4 months. As you can tell, the contacts made there were not spectacular enough to keep me coming back. So if you are joining Yuwie to make money from revenue sharing, just know up front that you will need a hundred thousand friends to start making anything resembling decent money from the revenue sharing.

This Was The Place To be!

I remember when I first found out about Yuwie; I was online with one of my friends and she sent me her referral link and told me this was 100 times better than Facebook and Myspace! I jumped at the fact that they paid and minimum payout is $5! Wow, now if I would have known it takes ages to make payout, I probably wouldn't have joined! I've been a member since around Feb. of '08 and still haven't cashed out! . 50 cents per 1000 page views, I wish unless they changed something! I had so many page views it's ridiculous; I remember I had well over 45,000 page views one month and barely made over $1, and that's when I enough was enough!

Every now and then I'll go there to market a bit though the site has made drastic changes visually! But with over 700 "friends" and about 6 people online at a time down from at least 30+ at one time, it shows how much the excitement wore off!
