ZoomPanel Description

Zoom Panel is an online survey company which you can join for free. Zoom Panel is a part of Market Tools Inc. which is a market research company based out of San Francisco California. The CEO of Market Tools Inc. is Scott Arnold and the company owns a few other survey companies. Zoom Panel allows members to take surveys, join in focus groups and take part in other market research projects.

ZoomPanel Detailed Overview

Zoom Panel is not a site that pays cash for completed surveys. Members will be rewarded with a combination of zoom points, cash sweepstakes entries, instant win prizes and other rewards. Most members receive a few surveys each week though the exact number can vary from several a week to only a few a month. The majority of these surveys are worth 50 zoom points upon completion, but if you take the pre-qualification survey and do not qualify for the main survey, you will be rewarded 5 points for you participation. Though there is a tracking program on the site, you will not see your zoom points counted until the next day. You can earn up to an additional 400 zoom points each month by referring friends to the program.

All zoom points you accumulate can be redeemed in the redemption center for movies, music, electronics and other prizes. You are allowed to redeem once you have saved 1000 zoom points or more. The more you save, the better merchandise you can redeem for. Zoom Panel pays for all the shipping costs and you can usually expect to receive your merchandise in about 2 – 3 weeks.

The only requirements to join Zoom Panel are that you must be 18 years of age or older, and you must reside in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, or Australia. Each person is allowed only one account.

If you're looking to earn money online taking surveys, you will want to check our top recommendations for Legitimate and FREE Paid Survey Companies.

ZoomPanel Reputation

Zoom Panel is considered to be a reputable survey company. It does take a while to accumulate zoom points, and some people can go a year before they have enough zoom points to redeem. The only major complaints received about the company are that their customer service is not very good and that their merchandise costs too much and is not of the best quality. It is a free program and if you have the time to take surveys it would most likely worth it to join. Since there is no cost involved, it could be a good way to spend a little time and maybe get enough zoom points for a dvd or two.

An average survey site

It's alright compared to other sites out there, and I got a few emails with survey offers every week. I didn't qualify for all of the surveys but I still got a few points for it.

You don't get cash for this site which is OK I guess, but I would have preferred cash instead. I like the fact that I can get points for prizes and other things, however it takes me forever to reach that point of exchanging points for prizes.

Alright sit but you will have to stick with it

I’ve been a member of zoom panel for a couple of months now after being referred to the site by a friend. When I first joined, there was an influx of new surveys for me to take in my inbox, but now inevitably it has slowed down and has slowed down quite a bit. I receive 1 every couple of weeks if I’m lucky, and it’s annoying when you don’t qualify for a survey!

A not bad survey site

I have been a member of Zoom Panel for a year, and it is pretty easy to gain points in this survey site. I can receive two or three surveys each week, which notify by e-mail. Each time you could earn 5 points even though you did not qualify for the survey. There is no cash reward of this website which is a big problem.

Slow Earnings

I have been a member of Zoompanel for about a year and still have not gotten enough points for redemption. Yes, they notify me by e-mail when there is a new survey available, but more often than not, I do not qualify, which makes it a bit disappointing.

I do wish that they told me up front exactly how many points each survey was worth, rather than having to play the wait and see game. I also wish that they had more diversity in the surveys they offer. I have only qualified for a small handful of surveys since I joined the site.

The site is alright for money

Joined when the site was first out after I heard about it from a friend. They mainly have daily surveys and I despise those kinds as most of the time you are not qualified to do the survey. I have only reached close to 1000 points and gave up shortly. Good selection of prizes but not enough opportunity to win the points for them. Join if you would like to try. I will be quitting this site soon.

The best GPT site with a 250 point signup bonus and the greatest referral system ever. Newly launched so join in early for all the points.

Has plenty of offers and is updated daily. Has prizes ranging from emailing codes for xbox live and amazon to game pre-orders.

One of my favorite survey sites

I really like this website because after you do surveys, you earn points and can redeem them for cool merchandise. To date I have redeemed over 8,000 points. I have earned a mini crock pot, mini food processor, some kids books and books for myself. It is super easy to earn points, even if you do not qualify for the survey, you usually get 5 points for at least trying which most survey sites do not give you anything if you do not qualify. I also want to add that they do send a lot of surveys to my email on a daily basis so it will not take long to get to the minimum amount of points to redeem for a prize which is 1,000. Most surveys, if you qualify, will give you 50-100 points.

This is one awesome site!

Hello, I have been at ZoomPanel for about 3 years now. At this site you get points to take surveys. All the points you save up can be used for prizes. The prizes range from kitchen items to even Jewelry. You can also turn your points into money for charities. You can also get electronics for your points. They have different levels of prizes for different amount of points. This site is very legit and is a awesome site. I have redeemed my points for a couple prizes already. My mom who is also a member of ZoomPanel has redeemed a grilling kit with her points. There are many different surveys to do. They send the surveys through email when they find one that meets your interest. Also if you don't qualify for the survey you still get 5 points for attempting to do the survey. So either way everyone is a winner.

Honest, reliable site

I have been a member of Zoompanel for several years. It was one of the first I had joined. Zoompanel usually credits some points even if you don't qualify to complete the survey. They send surveys frequently and consistently. And they have a very good selection of prizes to choose from. I have received many prizes from them and prizes are mailed in a very timely manner. I highly recommend this site.

I actually like it...

I think I appreciate this site because one of the cash out options is to donate to a charity of your choice. I think it's the lowest level, being like 1000 points or similar, so it is attainable and the time you put in ends up going to a good cause.

I've never had a problem with not having enough surveys from this company like I've had with other survey sites. I rarely get less than three offers a day from Zoom Panel and have actually found their surveys to be more enjoyable than most.

I do agree that I would like to know ahead of time what the point value of the survey is going to be before I start one, though, as they can get a little lengthy.

Great site. I would recommend

I have been a member of ZoomPanel for quite a few years. They notify via email when a new survey is available. If you don't qualify, they still give you five points. Most of the surveys aren't very long, and the points do add up pretty quickly. Depending on your points, you choose from different levels of prizes. I have gotten several prizes ranging from flash lights to my most recent, a hair trimmer with all the attachments! They ship pretty quickly also.

Zoomless Panel

I was a member of Zoom Panel for about five months, and accumulated LESS then 200 points. In all that time I was only able to complete two surveys totaling 100 points. The rest of my points came from not qualifying for their surveys, for which I received five points each. Being unable to trade points for cash, and thousands of points away from earning a prize, I decided to leave the panel. This is a More or Less site and it was certainly less for me.

Not the best

I was a member of ZoomPanel for a number of years but it took forever to gain any points at all. I would only get a survey every couple of weeks and only occasionally did I qualify for the survey. I did eventually get enough points to gain a prize, and I applied for it and eventually received it about six weeks later. Then I went through a period of not getting any surveys at all and I guess they just cancelled my account, which I am not that upset about.

It always has fun surveys.. but!

Well, although I love the many fun free surveys they have, the thing about Zoompanel is they pay in points that are only redeemable for their incredibly high-priced "prizes" most of which I wouldn't even label as prizes. You do bunches and bunches of surveys and you might be lucky to receive a DVD. It's just not a good time investment. If they had given out more points and added a bit more to the "prize" section I am sure it would have been a lot better. The other thing I soon figured out is that an inactive account means goodbye points you've earned! I've spent loads and loads of time with them, & at some point I stopped receiving emails. I waited and waited & nothing showed up. Eventually I did get around to checking out the site but apparently since I was "inactive" for a certain amount of time, they had deactivated my account and removed the points I earned about re-enabling it. Ridiculous policy but after-all, it was in the TOS. However, it wasn't really my fault that they weren't sending surveys.

Pretty lame

Another one to read the TOS. One thing I liked is they cover S&H when you redeem something with your points.

I would've liked to know before joining that they may pull the following stunt.

From "Step One": "When a new survey is available for you, we'll send you an email invitation. "

They deactivated my account for (from TOS): "ZoomPanel reserves the right to terminate or disable, and cancel unredeemed Points in, ZoomPanel accounts that are inactive for a period of three (3) consecutive months. "Inactive" shall be defined by ZoomPanel in it's sole discretion from time to time, and shall include, but not be limited to, clicking on a survey invitation link, or participation in a survey. "

They didn't send me anything for over 3 months after I got a phone with 3500 points, and you can't do any surveys unless they send you an invitation.

I reactivated my account and the 55 points that were there before were gone, so I canceled the reactivated account.

I can't get approved for many of the surveys

As with most survey sites, I gave up with this one after about 2 months. I suppose they give you a fair amount of points for the surveys, provided that you can actually qualify. I tried countless times to be approved. I found that most surveys went on and on forever, sometimes taking almost half an hour to do, just to find that as I almost complete I am suddenly told that I am not in the right target group but thanks anyway. Why can't they just say in the first place the criteria that they need and then I don't have to waste my time? I think I only got to about 900 points which wouldn't have even got me a pencil before I gave up.

Hmmm let me see... BORING!

Before joining ZoomPanel it sounded like a good idea... getting points for doing surveys and then getting prizes... boy was I wrong. The surveys are by no means interesting and not to mention they are lengthy. The points per survey ratio stink and it takes you forever go rack up the points. Another downfall to this site is they don't pay via cash (paypal).

Zoompanel not for me

I have used Zoompanel in the past and I would like to say this, even those this site is legit, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I barely got any surveys to do, but when I did the surveys were long and very boring to complete, which made me hate doing them all together.

Another thing that I didn't like about this site is that they do not give your direct cash but other prizes. Just wanted to let anyone who is interested in this site know that right away. I would rather have cash sent to my Paypal or Alertpay, but I guess others would like their prizes. But I didn't find much I would like or anything that I would want to work towards, so I don't use this site any longer.

Zoompanel is a good site

I was a member of Zoompanel for a couple of years. The amount of surveys sent by them and the length of time it took to complete them was well worth the amount of zoompoints I received. I eventually had enough points to get prizes and they had a wide selection, of which I got three things I liked. I would recommend zoompanel to anyone who likes to do surveys.

Legit and good, but slow

I have been a ZoomPanel member since April 2009. I've received a survey invitation every day or two, and I qualify for it 99% of the time. The surveys are very easy to complete and don't take too much time. Unfortunately, I've only made 2000 points in this time, which is worth about $15. It takes a long time to get a reward item, but it's good for people with patience.

So-so Site

I have been a member for quite a while, and it has taken me awhile to rack-up enough points for anything worthwhile, and that has been with me taking pretty much every opportunity they email me. The good thing is that they do send out frequent survey opportunities, but the amount of time they take versus how much you actually earn isn't exactly worth it in my opinion. Furthermore, it takes a bit of time for them to decide if you qualify for a certain survey, and you end up getting some time sucked out of simply filling out the first questions, and then finding out you don't even qualify. While it is an okay site, I would only recommend it if you had some extra time to kill and like taking surveys.

Good Luck!

Instead of Zoom Panel, they should change the name to Slow Panel

I have been a member here for about 6 weeks and seen that they have a large variety of prizes to choose from. A lot of prizes are only 1000 points. After I signed up and completed the profile surveys, I received points just for doing those. I like that as other survey companies don't offer much for just completing the survey profiles.

I like the surveys a lot as the surveys are really simple and don't take a lot of time. I don't always qualify to complete the entire survey, but I did notice that you get a minimum of 5 points just for trying. I have 230 points, and unless I refer a friend that signs up as my referral, it's going to take about 6 months to a year before I get enough points worth a decent prize. The prizes vary from 1,000 points to 10,000 points. The higher the point range, the better the prize.

The most I have earned for a survey I completed was 50 points. They have a sweepstakes entries that you can earn money as well, but it would be a miracle to win one of those. They also start you out with 50 points, just as a sign up bonus. I have been averaging about 2-3 survey invites per week from this site.

As you can see, a slow earner and the majority of the 230 points I presently have came from signing up (50 points) and the survey profilers (5 points). I think I only completed 1 survey. I didn't qualify for a couple, but got 5 points.

Just OK, not one of my favorite survey sites

I have been a member of Zoompanel for several months now. While I often get their surveys in my email, I don't complete them on a regular basis. I find Zoompanel's surveys to often be long and drug out. The points you earn for taking them usually aren't worth the time you spend on it. Another problem with that website is that they only offer prizes, no cash reward. I find that the prizes are very high in points. It's going to take quite some time and dedication for me to cash out with them. It's definitely not one of my favorite survey sites. If you're really bored and don't mind doing long surveys just to earn a few points, in the long scheme of things, then this may be the site for you. Otherwise you may want to find a more reputable site with better, faster surveys that have a chance of keeping your interest and giving you something great for your time!

Reputable Site, but not one of my favorites

Zoompanel just appeared on the survey scene not too long ago. In favor of this site, the graphics are aesthetically pleasing, and the surveys always run clean. I have yet to have a problem where the survey gets stuck in the middle.

But the reason this is not one of my favorites is their prize system. There is no cash option for the points, and when I looked at what prizes they do have, I couldn't find any that I was really interested in working towards. With no cash, and no prizes I liked, I found no point in continuing my membership.

Zoom panel nothing fast about it

I have been a member of Zoompanel for several years. I'm not sure if I have even received even three surveys from them. I don't understand this site because they don't seem to send surveys even on a semi regular basis. That has been my experience anyway. I think unless you are one of their preferred survey takers you are not going to ever receive enough points to cash out. There are better sites out there in my opinion.

Lot of surveys for little reward

This survey panel is O. K. if you don't mind the fact that you will take many surveys to accumulate the points needed for a reward (They only give points, not gift certificates or cash). Since April 2009, I have cashed out once at 3500 points, but it took countless surveys to reach that level, and the 'prizes' are mediocre, to be kind. Not to say Zoompanel is not legit, they will keep you busy with surveys, and the site is handled in a professional way. Some are fairly interesting, like product testing surveys I've received. Just don't expect much in the way of rewards.

Not my cup of chai

ZoomPanel is a site I'm extremely tempted to drop once I reach payout. I find the surveys uninspiring to the point of it being almost painful to do. I have skipped some of their surveys on occasion for that very reason.

Another little irritant that happens a lot is when I receive an email from ZoomPanel informing me that I have a new survey, I'm not told at that point the length of the survey and how many points I'll be rewarded upon completion. Even when I click on the link and go to the first page of the survey itself, it still doesn't reveal this. I've therefore had to go into a survey a bit blind, not knowing if it'll last 30 minutes or 5 minutes or if I'll get 5 points for it or 50. It's a crucial bit of pre-survey information that they seem to overlook for some reason.

Good site.

I would only recommend this site for earning money if you LIKE taking surveys. If surveys are something that bother you and you feel like you want to scream if you have to take another with so much questions, then this isn't the site for you.

I have to say at first I was quite upset a bit, as I wasn't receiving many surveys, maybe only 2 a week, and they weren't worth much points. I decided to wait until I got 1000 points to see if this site scams or not. Within 4-5 weeks, I had received my item, which made me happy. However, I really don't think it's worth all the hassle of answering a survey, and it's not really worth your reward. I wouldn't really recommend it.

I Get Many Surveys From Them A Day Most of the Time.

Like other few survey sites out there, you can at least earn something just for trying to qualify. You earn 5 points minimum and I seem to qualify for more surveys with Zoompanel.com. I don't earn cash but trade in my points earned for items. I'm over 2,000 points and it's taking quite a while for me to accumulate enough points to trade in something I feel is worth having. Overall though this is a very good site and among the best, but I would not say the best survey site, though. It's worth joining though.

Decent Way to Earn Some Free Stuff

The prizes aren't great and it does take a long time to rack up a decent amount of points. That being said, I really like this site. The surveys are usually pretty short and they send them very often. I usually get at least one or two each day. They also give you 5 points even if you don't qualify for a survey.

Although I should also add that some of the surveys require special software to watch videos. They do not do a test to check whether you have it the way other sites do. So you might get halfway through a survey only to find out you can't continue. Plus, it is not the standard video software, as my computer has never had problems with any videos before.

I like this website

I have been a member here for years and have picked the prizes that are 1000 points. It does seem to take a long time to get enough points. I like the prizes they have. I have found that I do not qualify for many of the surveys I get. Sometimes I do get some surveys with lots of points, which I like. They have prizes that costs as much as 10,000 points, but I can't seem to wait long enough to redeem my points. If you try a survey and do not qualify, you can still earn five points. The most I have earned per a survey is 100 points. They have a sweepstakes that you can earn money.

Sometimes the merits of an item reviewed are pretty cut and dry, and/or there's only so much that can be said about it. When most users are all saying the same things about it, we will sometimes disable further comments on this review page.
