Not Very Innovative - Use a Dated Approach to SEO -  Although I found all members of the Bruce Clay team to be polite, on-time and helpful, they really use an outdated approach to SEO. For the most part, they want you to junk up your site with excessive text, embedded links, et al. If you have a clean-looking site, expect it to look more like Bruce Clay's site when they are done. Yes, they did help clean up some broken links and such but most of all they just instructed me to complete Title Tags and Key word descriptions. If they charged $30-40 an hour, it would be fine. For the money they charge, I should have received much better results without mucking up my site to make it look like a online flea market.

Bruce Clay did nothing for my company but take my money  My wife and I hired Bruce Clay to run our company's SEO campaign. Going into this we knew nothing about how SEO worked, we told our contact person that, and we would total rely on her as she and Bruce Clay are the SEO “experts”. She told us it would take 6 months to a year to be on page 1 of Google and we were OK with that.. 6 months later and well over $10,000 spent, no one at Bruce Clay can even tell us what page of Google we are even on. The reports they send us each month to show how much traffic we are getting from Google, Yahoo, and Bing show nothing but Zeros! We were to have conference calls once a moth with the woman who was in charge of our SEO, more often then not she would not show up for these conferences. We would have to try and call different numbers at Bruce Clay to track her down. They have fallen behind on our project and since we have already paid them the final month (we are not renewing with them) we can't get the work they still owe us and no one will call us back. I can go on and on about them, but I wont take up any more of your time or mine. All I can say is keep looking for another SEO. |

Definitely an SEO guru  I try to search and learn as much as I can about SEO things and I happen to browse upon the name Bruce Clay. I saw his Search Engine Optimization for Dummies ebook, and though some of the words or terms there are still new to me, over all it has been a great help on building my website. His keywords research and selection, landing page guidelines really are a must to learn. Learning all these things makes me more confident with my website. There are definitely other internet marketing gurus but he is one of the best, I must say.

Bruce Clay knows his stuff  What I like about Bruce Clay is that he has a confident aura about him on his blogs that makes you trust his advice and products. I used his website to optimize my SEO and it worked to a mint. He implements keywords that are popular to Google browsers and really gives you the best page rankings. I love his blogs and his do-it -yourself personality. He knows how to build reputation and credibility you just have to follow his way on his terms. I think he's a confident guy that gives you the tools to build your web page ranking the best way, once again his way.

Bruce Clay is all hype - he is a worthless person - no ethics From having talked to people who have met him, they are all scared to say bad things about him. But folks have told me the way he manipulates others and how he tries to win his way. He is a dying brand and recently laid off a lot of people too. Ask some of his ex-employees of his ethics and practices - they will tell you the truth. Stay away from him and you will be better off. I think you can learn a lot more about internet marketing just being on Webmaster World then trying to follow this guy. |

Bruce Clay is great I have used Bruce Clay before on a previous website project of mine and it turned out great. Their service was exceptional and he clearly knows what he is doing. He has a lot of knowledge over using keywords for SEO. If you are having trouble getting higher PR and a better SEO, Bruce Clay would be the guy to talk to.

He's definitely THE MAN Bruce Clay is the one person in the whole industry that probably even the gurus themselves look up to. He defines the word expert, and you'd know right off the bat that this guy is the real deal. Based on the articles that I have read, he definitely knows his stuff, and I trust his every word. He has this distinct presence in his articles as well as his interviews that exude professionalism and authority. This may be why a lot of people has great respect for him. Me included. I also admire that he's an overall great guy. Aside from being the expert on everything, it's really refreshing to find someone who's so good on what he does but doesn't try to make a quick buck off everyone else. Sure he can sell his products or advice. I'm sure they'd sell like hot pancakes, but he doesn't. He gives a lot of free advice, and for this, my admiration for him grew all the more. Now, who says nice guys finish last? This nice guy is surely on top of his game, being successful yet maintaining his good reputation and credibility. Now that's top class.

Truly An Industry Standard Bruce Clay is one of my SEO heroes. My love affair with his site started when I lost one of my site's PageRank because of accepting text link ads in the early days of my blogging (I still haven't gotten back my PR, btw. I guess Google has banned that blog for good). Anyway, I searched for ways to bring back my PR and I landed on one of Bruce Clay Inc.'s pages. It was love at first site. His site looks very professional and is not littered with ads and has a quiet elegance to it that I find really impressive. I know his strategies work because one of my previous bosses has engaged his services and it did wonders for the boss' sites. I make use of his free SEO tools in my web content writing stints as advised by people I respect in the SEO industry, and to put it simply, those tools work. He works with people that I equally admire in the industry (like Matt Cutts), which makes him all the more authoritative. I've also managed to read some of his products and they are worth reading over and over again. He is one straight forward guy, doesn't just build up hype and he has, in my opinion, produced some of the most useful FREE resources for SEO to date. To top all that, he is nice to everyone. I've never had a personal, face-to-face encounter with him since I live thousands of miles away, but his reputation as a good guy in the online world cannot be denied. I've read some of his interviews and he exudes this quiet authority that I cannot help but admire. I pick up great SEO tips by reading his interviews, information that other "gurus" would ask me to pay for before I lay my hands on them, but not Bruce. He gives most of them away like it was nothing. But it's everything in SEO, believe me. I guess he got to where he is now by not being selfish about what he knows and by sharing it with everyone. |
