Darren Rowse Bio

Darren Rowse is a well-known blogger that writes on his site ProBlogger.net. He also runs a popular photography blog called Living Room and is the co-founder of b5media (a blogging network). He is an expert in using blogs to create an income, using his own blog to bring in $20,000 in monthly. He teaches how to start up blogs, create content your readers want, build followers, and monetize your blog.

Darren Rowse Detailed Overview

Blogging has become such an important promotion tool that even fortune 500 companies are hiring writers to blog for them. It helps you stay in conversation with your customers, stand out in the marketplace, and reach out to prospects who are interested in your topic. But very few people know what it takes to create and maintain a successful blog.

In fact, there have been many books and courses on using blogs as a business model but most of them rely on short term fixes or black hat strategies that involve search engines. Darren on the other hand, teaches how to create a blog and market it into a sustainable business that can earn you extra side money or a full time career.

He has written about his strategies in his book ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income. The book explains every step of the process including finding your niche, tweaking your blog, creating interesting posts, monetization strategies, promoting your blog, using social media, and growing it as a business. The book has received outstanding reviews from readers with 90% giving it 4-5 stars out of 5.

For marketers that want a specific plan they can follow, he has a course called 31 Days to Build a Better blog. The gives you strategies you can apply every day to grow your blog and make it more profitable. The course is for all bloggers from beginners who want to know how to get started, to bloggers that need more ideas, and those who want to continue growing their blog.

I found the workbook to be a great guide filled with great advice and tips. The ideas were very applicable and there were strategies at every end of the spectrum, from coming up with blog post to tweaking your blog so that it’s SEO friendly. If you’ve followed Darren’s blog for some time, you’ll notice that there are some overlapping tips but all in all I found it incredibly valuable.

But how does Darren monetize his blog? He recommends using a combination of advertising sponsors and programs that help you monetize your sites. He uses Google Adsense, Chitika, Amazon, Shopzilla, and WidgetBucks. He also searches out for individual affiliate programs and running promotions for products he’s an affiliate of. He takes extra measures to make sure his readers are recommended reputable products and services.

Darren Rowse Reputation

In conclusion, Darren is the go-to guy if you’re starting a blog or want to grow it. The free information he shares on his blog is outstanding, and he definitely knows what he’s talking about. His book and blog has received praise from his peers, readers, and industry leaders. I found that most of his posts contain information that’s instantly applicable, and I highly recommend you read his blog.

Extremely Helpful

He was the first person that I went to when I wanted to start a blog. His blogs were very helpful for me when I needed to learn about the basics of blogging and how to earn some cash off of them. He makes a living of it and who else could you go to that hasn't experienced blogging before? I also went to him to learn about being an affiliate for a company and placing ads on my site. Highly recommend checking out what this guy has to say.

Darren Rowse - any one need an introduction ?

Nothing but 31 Days to Building a Better Blog (31DBBB) itself explains what he is. During 2009 and 2010 it was a nice flow of blogging tips on problogger.net. He is a good teacher. What ever projects he had undertaken have been a great success. Example problogger, Digital photography, Twitter tips etc etc. Fans are just following him and the way he handles the topic is having a magical touch in it.

I did notice that in 2011, he is busy with some other projects and there are lots of guest blogs coming in to problogger. net which I dont' want to rate as low quality but it is not just matching the quality of Darren.

Go go Daren .. we need more tips from you..

Affordable backlink service and bookmarking

Problogger. net is a premier blogging site

Darren Rowse has the enigma and the brains to make a fortune off blogging. In his site, Problogger. net, he uses his experience with consumer wants and his intelligence to send out great blogs that everyone wants to participate in. He covers all of the hot topics going on in America like social injustice topics and crises [Haiti. ] What I've taken from his blogs is the only information I have used to create and manage my own blog besides other free E-books and blogs. His knowledge of how to start up blogs and get viewers to participate is foolproof and is bound to work effectively. I now have a growing medium-sized following and am implementing back-links to my website to make my profit cohesive.

The greatest guru for bloggers

I discovered his site about two months ago after I read his website review on one of my friend's blogs. Even on the first time I read his blog, I was impressed by his dedication to be a full time guru who is specialized on helping bloggers on the web. His blogs will literally cover everything from very basic blog tips to the advanced one that could make your blog highly ranked and possibly give you thousands of dollars of online income. Right after I read some of his entries, I'm starting to regret that I've bought some blogging related products because his guides and tips are proved to be more effective and detailed than those pricey guides. Since then, I've become his loyal reader and I always have been fed with new blogging knowledge every time I visit his website. A+ for this guy!

Self Proclaimed Pro

Darren is demonstrating his passion and professionalism through business-like style approach on his blogs and that I believe makes him trustworthy, credible and successful.

I first accidentally "heard" about Darren on Amazon while searching books that were related to successful blogging and making stable income online.

So I did the search and found this book that he made: "ProBlogger - Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income" with his friend Chris Garrett.

What I really enjoyed in this one was the comparison between direct income versus indirect income methods of earning.

Second Book I later got "31 Days to Build A Better Blog", it's more like a step-by-step guide how to increase exposure and gain more traffic making money along the way in a one month period.

Both of these books gave me clearer and complete understanding of what he does and how he does it. The blog he has with the community is then just an update on certain topics and trends.

His information is worth the time & money for every serious blogger who want to be successful online.

Need some help in blogging : Right name to look for !

Yes, he is a problogger. The father of blogging, Darren Rowse, is the man to look for if any one wants to start a blog.

A couple of years ago I started my first blog, but failed miserably. Last year I again started, but this time I took the help of problogger. Those where the days of 31 day workshop, a free online workshop for those who want to learn about blogging. The things that I have learned from that workshop are amazing, and true to its nature my blog is on and still going with increasing subscribers each day.

Thanks Darren for all that help.

Rowse Info Very Helpful

I've been reading ProBlogger for over a year and find the info really helpful. Most significant to me is that he isn't what I'd call a "circular success". He didn't make his money blogging about how to make money blogging -- as some kind of self-professed blogging guru. Instead, he became a blogging success blogging out OTHER things and then added on sharing his blogging expertise. I wish all "pro bloggers" had the same real expertise to share rather than just slick marketing.

Rowse's 31 Days to a Better Blog is a great study. It's not easy. (Took me way more than 31 days to complete. OK, I'm still working through it). But it provides very solid info as well as aids in creating good blogging habits.

Someone earlier complained about his using guest bloggers, as if that is some kind of flaw. In fact, using guest bloggers (and serving as a guest blogger for other sites) is one of the particular techniques he uses to increase traffic and credibility. He's written about that on his blog.

In addition, I was one of the early paid members at problogger.com. I have never before paid to be part of a forum, but I found the price minimal and the benefit really quite good. If nothing else it provides a group of serious bloggers who do have great insight they are willing to share.

Generally speaking, I think I'm a tough grader, but I give Rowse an A for the quality of his information.

I don't like his style

I agree that Darren Rowse is a great blogger on this planet. But I don’t like his way of sharing blogging knowledge to newcomers. Yes, maybe I’m controversial, but you could check his blog for the truth. You could see on problogger that the website is full with guest posts rather than his real posts. If the blog (problogger) is to teach people to be a good blogger, he should reduce the number of guest posts and try to add more posts written by him. And his private forum is really bothering me. You have to pay some dollars to be able to access his forum, otherwise you can’t enter that forum.

Blogging Guru Darren Rowse

I often visit Darren Rowse's blog which is very informative to both the beginner blogger and the experienced blogger. In 2007 Darren ran a project called " 31 Days to Build a Better Blog" in which he opened up his blog and invited bloggers to submit posts on how to build a better a better blog. I was flattered to have many of my post included in his project.

When it comes to learning how to make money online Darren is a qualified teacher. I recently learned that he has been very successful with the Amazon affiliate program and unlike other internet gurus who charge you an arm and leg to learning the secrets Darren freely gives away suggestions on his blog.

If I had anything negative to say it would be that Darren is such a busy guy that getting an interview with him appears impossible. Nonetheless if you want to learn all you can about blogging then Darren's blog is a good starting point.

I highly recommend it to be a informative blogging resource.

Darren's the Real Deal

Darren Rowse was one of the first blog teaching sites I came across when I started researching. I joined his email list, and he's one of only a few that I continue to read. Even without spending the money for his products, he shares excellent points that help me tweak my own approach to blogging. He's definitely worth checking out, a guy with integrity.

Finding Success with 31 Days to a Better Blog

I ran across Darren Rowse about a month and a half ago through a shared post from his ProBlogger Blog in Google reader. I was instantly hooked. This guy put the information that I had been searching for about blogging into straight to the point, no-nonsense articles that not only teach the person, but encourages them to go out and try the new knowledge attained. I signed up to the RSS feed that very day, and continued to learn many aspects about blogging and Social Networking.

I was getting a lot of information, but I still didn't know how to apply this to my blog. I saw at the bottom of each of Darren's posts, there was a banner to purchase his "31 days to a Better Blog" E-Book. I knew that this would be extremely beneficial for me to have, however it was out of my price range at $20. Still I kept it in mind.

I was happy to find earlier this week that, as a promotion for joining his exclusive Problogger forum, you could receive a 50% discount off the e-book. I hurried up to join the forum, and to purchase the e-book.

I am only currently at day two of the 31 day challenge, but I must say the tips he gives in the book in those first two lessons has already made me a more confident blogger. For the first time, I feel that my blog has meaning and direction, and that I will finally be able to express it so that my message is heard.

You also can get feedback at every step of the way through the 31 Days forum, where newbies just like you are starting out, and others who have been through the book are there to help.

All in all, Darren is a great resource to many who are into internet marketing; even though he is just a photographer lol. I know that at the end of 31 days, I will have a most excellent blog, and it will be thanks to Mr. Rowse and the blogging community he has built.

Loads of useful advice

I signed up for his "31 Days to Improve Your Blog" project when it was already partly over, and I didn't keep up with it enough to implement all of the suggestions. But just looking briefly at the e-mails sent out each day, I could tell it was fantastic advice to make your blog more SEO-friendly, more popular, and more useful. He's got lots of other similar advice all over his site, and in fact it's a little overwhelming--there's so much to read and try to implement, I can't possibly do it all. Which... is actually a good thing, despite how it sounds. >_< If you're a blogger, take a look at his site.

THE Blogger Guru

Being a blogger first and foremost, Darren Rowse is THE guy that I look up to when it comes to tips and tricks on how to make money through my blog. This great guy behind ProBlogger should be every blogger's role model, as he got to where he is right now through pure blogging genius. He gives advice to bloggers like me, from writing my About Page, designing my blog, blog advertising optimization, to everything else there is to know about monetizing one's site. No wonder he is a great Internet marketer.

His success in IM stems from the fact that he can so easily relate to people, that he is a generous soul, ready to give every blogger, newbie and veterans alike, his thoughts and ideas on how to make money from your blog. I've been a subscriber of his ProBlogger site ever since I started blogging a couple of years back, and I'm still grateful for the new ideas that he publishes every now and then. I even follow his Twitter account, for more updates on him. I hold on to his every word like a religious man holds on to the words in the Bible.

If I was into photography like some of my friends are, he would be my mentor in that field for sure. The wonder of it all is that he didn't even spend so much in advertising his blog to get it as famous as it is right now! How can you not admire a man who is so ingenious like that? This guy's the real deal. If I had money to pay him for consultancy, I would be glad to do it because I know that it will be the wisest investment that I can make as a blogger. He is so wonderfully nice, too, even to people he hardly knows, and I love him all the more for that.

He is the man!

Darren Rowse? I thought this man is about photography! I never knew he was into Internet Marketing too. My own experience with this man is about photography. When I had my first digital single lens reflex camera, I came upon his site, Digital Photography School. I sign up for the site and receives a lot of great tips and techniques when it comes to photography. His site is my daily does of photographic techniques. Every time I need an advice with regards to photography, I stop by at his site and spend half a day reading all his useful techniques.

Darren Rowse photography site is also my source of information when it comes the latest gadget for my camera. It really gives detailed explanations on why you need a certain accessory for your camera.

I believe Darren Rowse is a gift to photographers like me. I gave him an awesome rating fro all the tips and techniques I learned from him.

Down to earth

Darren Rowse's Problogger blog was one of the first blogs I happened upon when I first stepped into the make-money-online world. He came across to me as down-to-earth, approachable, humble, genuine, experienced and extremely willing to help. He obviously had tons of experience but he had a straightforward way of explaining things. As a newbie, I didn't feel lost, overwhelmed or intimidated by his blog. Rather, I felt encouraged.

Problogger was part of my daily diet for quite a while and I still pass by it from time to time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other online newbies.

Darren is an Essential for New Bloggers

Darren Rowse is pretty much a legend in the blogosphere. In my first month or so of blogging I came across his Problogger site and have visited off and on regularly ever since. He is very upfront with his readers about how he generates income and has a huge archive of articles on his site, covering most blogging topics at one time or another. A big plus of Darren's site is his generous back linking.

I have discovered a good number of interesting blogs related to SEO & writing through his guest posters on Problogger. The blog also has a 31 day challenge for bloggers that is quite helpful. I realized through that challenge that some of the things I thought I'd done well on my blog needed considerable tweaking. It makes you focus on one aspect of your blog at a time and give it a thorough analysis. If you are a beginning blogger and don't have Problogger bookmarked already, I would suggest it.

I am relatively new to Twitter (only a few months), and actually signed up due to Darren's posts on Problogger about TwiTip (another of his blogs) and the usage of Twitter to increase blog traffic. I stop in to TwiTip once in awhile when I see something interesting pop up in the Problogger tweets.

Darren Rowse is a prolific writer and occasionally some of his posts seem a little redundant, but his blogs always have something of interest.

My Favorite Blogger

Darren Rowse' Problogger is definitely one of the best blogs around. Problogger is full of useful tips and information on how to be successful in the field of blogging. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned blogger, his blog is worth-reading.

I have stumbled upon Problogger when I was a newbie and looking for information on how to gain readers and drive traffic to my blog. I found his tips practical and useful. Even if I have been blogging for a long time, I still visit his blog regularly to see the latest updates. I would also recommend that you subscribe to his blog.

The layout of Problogger is very neat and clean and it's not screaming with annoying ads unlike some blogs of popular bloggers who earns from the ads on their site.

What I love about Darren Rowse is that he seems very down-to-earth and very willing to share his knowledge to his subscribers and readers. His articles are well-written and well-thought-of.
