Frank Kern is an Internet marketer with expertise in niche marketing and information publishing. While he sells courses and training programs in the Internet marketing niche, most of his businesses are in other niche markets. This sets him apart from many experts who are only adept at selling information products to other Internet marketers.
Detailed Overview
Frank first started out in the Internet marketing world teaching his niche marketing concepts. He launched the Underachieve Mastery Course with Ed Dale. The course was designed to help marketers find exactly what people were looking to buy, put together a digital product that filled the desires of the niche, and market the product using Google Adwords.
The goal was to set up multiple sites that generated small to medium income streams in order to have a sustainable business. By constantly setting up these small salesletter sites across multiple niches, marketers could build a dependable source recurring income. This strategy helped show that it was possible to be successful in markets other than Internet marketing.
With the launch of his Underachiever Mastery course, Frank has become an expert in niche marketing. But because of his experience in many different businesses, he is knowledgeable across other facets of Internet Marketing such as market research, competitive analysis, info product creation, web conversion, email marketing and more.
One of Frank’s key strategies that helped him succeed is outsourcing. Rather than trying to get the job done perfect the first time around, he emphasizes on getting things done good enough and then continually making small improvements. Frank also focuses on the backend. He utilizes many of the strategies borrowed taught in Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula and believes in systemizing backend profits with continuity products and promoting to his list with what he now calls mass control strategies.
His products include Underachiever Mastery, Infomillionaire, and Mass Control 2.0. The Underachiever Mastery has been discontinued, but his Infomillionaire course expands on the concepts and is set to launch again in the near future. Most of Frank’s focus is now in his Mass Control training, which helps marketers set up successful product promotions. Frank’s training courses are very comprehensive and easy to follow with step-by-step videos, supporting audios, mindmaps, and PDF reports provided to help you understand and use the strategies.
Reputation
In conclusion, Frank teaches very unique concepts to launch and promote products to an audience, relying on many psychological triggers and strategies. He primarily focuses on using email marketing and promoting to your backend for big paydays. While his strategies are effective, they are geared primarily towards intermediates and advanced marketers.
His Mass Control product in particular, primarily benefits information publishers with email lists. While you can certainly use joint ventures and have JV partners send you traffic for your launch, you will need the right way to approach potential partners and know how to set all the details up (which is a whole subject in of itself). Alternatively, it’s possible to launch a product as an affiliate, however, that will require you to have your own email list of prospects and customers. These factors are why beginners will not see great value with the training.

KNOWS his stuff
I found his information to be awesome. While it is pricey to buy his Internet Marketing products they are not for the newbie. You need some solid background to understand the ideas behind his "madness", he calls it "crazy". But I found the main push behind his thinking to PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST and that makes all the different with the customer.

Materials are pricey
I gave Frank an A for his delivery, approach-ability and unique concepts, though his material is PRICEY. Way out of reach for most.

The Mighty Frank
Frank Kern's products are great. I just can't afford them. The thing I like about Frank is that he tells you what's what. Although he says a newbie could use his stuff I highly doubt it. There's just some stuff you have to have a grasp of first.
I learned a lot about Frank during a few product launches I was a part of. He gives away juicy tidbits of info during those launches and even does some pretty cool free stuff. If you watch him closely and you're not a newbie you could probably pick up quite a few tips without paying for his stuff.
But he really does put the customer first. If more marketers did this, they would have higher grades from customers and ultimately sell more products.

My review.
I purchased Frank Kern's Instant Internet Empires several years ago.
It was a group of ebooks that one could sell to make lots of cash.
Being a newbie then, I ordered it, set up a webhost account, uploaded content, pages, etc. Then, surprise, nothing happened.
Everyone else was selling the same thing.
Many people complained to the authorities because they didn't make anything with the program.
After a while, the Feds came calling to Frank K. , if I recall correctly, claiming he didn't put any disclaimers in his ads.
He was fined a large amount, paid it and is still marketing today.
Now everybody puts disclaimers in their ads; it's financial suicide not to do so.

Very helpful but expensive!
The information he supplies is unique and will defiantly give you an edge. But the prices he is charging are just overwhelming. His information is very tough to pay for!

Kern is a Character
His products ARE very expensive. While I have not bought them I HAVE watched many of his videos and visit his web pages now and then. In his videos, he is usually barefoot and wearing faded jeans, sitting cross legged. His casualness and the way he speaks (some street language and humor) might bother some, while others find it entertaining and unique.

Great Marketer!
Frank Kern is a great Internet Marketer and educator. In his case, you definitely get what you pay for, because he's not cheap, and rightfully so. He emails me at least once a week.
I thought I was a fair intermediate marketer, until I began dealing with Frank. I soon realized, I need more time to do as Frank suggests.
Frank Kern is great for REAL intermediate marketers and above! Newbies, don't waste your time and money!

Good content - but beware the language
I just started watching some of Frank's videos online, which are some of the free stuff that he offers. I like what I have watched and listened to so far. He is a very down to earth person, and he says it like it is. Some of his stuff/language can be a bit much for some people, but it doesn't really bother me.
I have not looked into pricing any of his stuff and am just focusing on the free stuff right now, which is good for most people.
I will be adding him to my blog of people to look out for when it comes to training, but will be focusing right now on the free stuff he offers that I will also offer to my list.

Simply awesome!
Frank is my idol when it comes to internet marketing. With his peculiar style and to the point presentation he has created a cult like following and his "Mass Control" brand is bigger than any other internet marketing product brand. Frank has a very keen sense of human psychology. He uses different approaches while interacting with his prospects through e-mail, blog posts and other medias and that is the biggest reason behind his golden touch. I always open his e-mails regardless of how busy I am.

Love Him - Follow Him.. Make Big Bucks..
We promote big ticket items and just like Frank have learned the best and fastest way to make money online and get loyal and motivated customers is to price your stuff right.
Frank does not sell cheap programs, but he does sell good stuff. Plus he makes it easy to understand and his stuff really does help you sell your stuff faster, easier and for more money.
Since getting into big ticket sales we have made a 6 figure income and found our customers are very loyal, love us and the kind of customers you don't want who take up your time and nag you all the time who often buy cheap stuff no longer buy from us. We have the kind of customers we want who are professional and keep buying from us now and are making more money. Frank knows his stuff.

A great marketing guru
Frank Kern does not look like your typical Internet Marketing Guru. But looks can be very deceiving in his case. He is one of the best when it comes to niche marketing, and what I love about the guy is that he doesn't need to promote himself or his products anymore, but he still does! This goes to show how much he loves what he's doing, and maybe, that's the secret as to why he is so successful. I love the fact that he's out there and trying to get people to be just as successful as he is. I also like his casual approach in his videos which makes him quite unique, and this makes him stand out from the standard stiff and formal videos we usually see. Frank Kern's product prices may be high, but I can say that every cent is probably worth it. I can't afford the products but I do visit his site and try to watch free videos whenever I can to pick up a trick or two.

Frank Kern makes himself easy to relate to as a beginning marketer
Frank Kern is smart, that is what it all boils down to. His down to earth style is probably all his own, and his humor cannot be faked. The most impressive thing I see about Frank is that he is smart enough to interview guys like Tony Robbins and get the motivational aspect into his message so that people see that he is not just all about the money. I was just visiting his blog last night and see that he has come out with a new product, showing how to advertise PPC for as little as 12 cents a click. My partner is trying the 30 days for a dollar, so I will be happy to learn about this new "screw google" program, that is what Frank named it! I would love to see his products at a more affordable price, but I would never expect him to sell himself short either. Newbies need to pay attention when Frank Kern talks because there is always a useful nugget of information in there that you can put to use to increase your earnings, just have to pay attention.

Gives helpful info for free
I really enjoy Frank Kern's videos, they're fun to watch and he actually gives tons of valuable info for free in them, unlike many other big marketers. He really seems to be living the true IM lifestyle, and teaches many concepts that are unique, not just regurgitated stuff that everyone else is teaching. That's probably a big part of why he's so successful and can charge the big bucks for his products.

Frank is awesome
That's right, to me Frank is amazing even though he will sell you something at the end of all his free content, it doesn't matter, why? Because the free content he gives away is a product in itself. Now Frank has an awesome blog which can be found by typing he name into google. Seriously the amount of free content on there will keep you busy for months :).
Frank is an idol to many and rightly so, he knows his stuff when it comes to IM, this is a guy you want to watch.

Fun, Funny, and Full of Information
I've been in Frank's list for quite a while now, and man I do not regret one bit being in his list. He doesn't constantly send emails to you everyday or even every second or third day about new products, programs, systems, or services to try out. He usually sends out emails about products that he truly believes will help people out, and that actually rarely happens, maybe once or twice a month, maybe even less. The rest of his emails consist of blog updates on his mass control blog, and stuff he'd sell to you.
He gives out tons of free information and his own view on things. He makes his content free or paid, fun, funny, and full of information like the title says. He's a very funny guy, and known for using a ton of profanity. I bought his course Mass Control 2.0, and I must say he stays true to his reputation. Anyways, he's a good guy, he's not afraid to show his face in camera and probably one of the most honest marketers around.

Frank Kern is a Fan Favorite
I personally like Frank Kern for the information that he puts out. He makes it nice, simple, and easy to follow. I look on his blog every now and then and I check for new blog posts because the content that he gives back to the IM community is just that good. With things that I had a brain freeze with, I always looked back to some of his amazing videos that he put out in the past and it always helps. His products are sold for a nice lump sum that many people really don't have access to or can really afford it. But if you can... they are well worth the buy. I would recommend him for anyone who is looking to get started in IM.

Talk about mass control…hypnotic delivery, gives incredible value,
Frank is, without question, one of the funniest IM/Niche marketers out there. He is more than a marketer, he’s a personality, and he makes no apologies for it. He doesn’t wear a suit and bow tie in his videos, and occasionally he shows up to offline summits and conferences in a pair of flip-flops, jeans, and t-shirt.
Not many can pull this off, but Frank can. I haven’t purchased any of his products (most are fairly expensive and I have considered them only as advanced courses in my own online game), but he has enough free content out there for you to take the knowledge and run with it.

The "Crazy" Jenius
What I personally like about him is the way he presents the information to the viewer like a human being - not as a sales person.
Got his "Screw Google" thing by him and Trey in 2009, which was the first time I've made a sale when testing various "direct" methods - thanks to his teachings my first sale was $19.90 by displaying Yahoo Ads (PPC + Affiliate combo).
That was the year I started taking this stuff more seriously.
Also got his 2 CDs (Magic Bullet Seminar + Core Influence) which he gave for free - only thing to pay was shipping! Amazing info.
He likes to do things the opposite way (Evil Jenius) instead of the traditional "marketing" way that is acceptable...

Frank Kern is great if
You're not a newbie! I've been in the game for a few years, so when I purchased Mass Control a few years back I found the information very helpful in terms of how I should approach my already established blog/business. However if I was a newbie, I would be very let down by Frank Kern's Mass Control because it's not really beginner friendly where he's holding your hand through everything. So definitely avoid any of his stuff if you're totally new to internet marketing.
I personally love Frank's non formal/guru style. His material is always easy to follow because he speaks like a regular dude. He doesn't bore you to death with fancy terminology. I also found his material to be a lot more cerebral than step by step action oriented. However a lot of marketing is psychological so if you apply that stuff he teaches you with technical marketing things you may already know, it's a killer combination. I've seen a lot more conversions by applying what he's taught to my blog posts.
Honestly just watching how he markets is a lesson in itself and it's free. lol If you model a lot of your own activities after him, you can do well assuming you have the eyeballs to your site, product, etc.
At the end of the day I feel that Frank is a honest guy that wants to over deliver and provide tons of value in his products. In my experience he does. It may be expensive, but it's like it says, it takes money to make money.

List Control was a Great Course
I was a member of Frank Kern's List Control. What an awesome product. He really over delivered with all of the content, the free tools, and the seminar in San Diego.
The whole thing was a great experience. Kern is one of my all time heroes in the internet marketing world. He's figured it all out and done everything right. I aspire to have the same notoriety in the IM world as he did.
He is an ethical marketer and he always over delivers.
