His business dealings revolve around venture capital, though he has his hand in a few other businesses as well as online marketing ventures. Kawasaki has written several books on business and marketing, is a diehard Apple computer enthusiast, and has built an impressive following of people who are eager to learn what he has to teach.

Guy Kawasaki Detailed Overview

Guy Kawasaki is well educated and well respected in the internet marketing world and the business world in general. He graduated with a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA. He started dabbling in computers and found that he had a passion and affinity for it, and once he was introduced to an Apple computer, he became even more enthusiastic. Kawasaki eventually started working for Apple, but after awhile he left them to start his own database company. He went on to found a software company with three other people.

Obviously Guy Kawasaki has been busy in the computer world, and his passion for computers and the internet just kept growing. He was always looking for new businesses to start, however, and he eventually created Garage Technology Ventures with fellow entrepreneurs Craig Johnson and Rich Karlgaard.

Guy Kawasaki and his partners like to work with people who are innovative and inventive, and they are happy to invest in projects that to some might seem risky, but to them look like the future.

Read his blog and you’ll find out that Guy Kawasaki has a lot to offer to aspiring internet marketers. Though not all of his business ventures are about internet marketing, he has dealt with it enough and knows enough about it to have valuable things to teach on the subject.

Great, why?

I will tell you Guy Kawasaki (love the name) is a true internet extreme personality! I love Apple, so when I first heard he used to work with them I was intrigued. I started off with reading some articles and reviews on his personality, business ethics, and legitimacy, all of which I can say have been fairly accurate!

For one, man this guy makes me rofl! I dunno, maybe he isn't for everyone but finding a man like him in the ever increasing business world is very welcomed.

I won't go into my dealings (as they are private) but all I can say is if you want to start dealings with a well rounded and knowledgeable individual, check him out.

Guy Kawasaki isn't who he claims to be

Unfortunately I graded this thinking it was the schiester Robert Kawasaki! The two aren't remotely related!

Being an Apple owner since 1985, we are familiar with Guy and his work. He's bright, funny, and clever. He was instrumental in making owning a Mac almost a religious experience -- something you felt loyalty to.

He also was involved in created 4th Dimension, one of the first real relational database programs for the Mac.

Kawasaki calls his blog "How to Change the World" and it's not just a for show. He writes quite a bit about character traits that make for a better culture. Two thumbs up to a good guy who has had years of business success.

A comedian in the internet marketing business

What a joker! Guy Kawasaki brings the element of fun and ease to his marketing persona which sells him countless books and products because that's what Americans love. I read his book "The Art Of Start" a while back preceding college and it was outlined a business start-up as like an adventure. He mitigates the real sense of anything frustrating and makes you believe in a sense that things are practical and makes you think positively. I love his blog and the whole act he implies in the process of initiation. Guy Kawasaki is my favorite internet marketer because he's successful and funny.

The IM version of a Robert Kiyosaki

Guy Kawasaki is to internet marketing what Robert Kiyosaki is to real estate. I say that because both of their personalities seem to mirror each other - especially their sense of humor.

I first caught a glimpse of this guy on one of his blogs months ago, and he did a sort of “How did you make millions” live meeting panel. He was the host and he introduced each guest, giving away cool internet start-up advice. Throughout the entire conference, he kept the crowds lightly entertained as well as educated.

Check out “Art of the Start”, it’s a great read.

Great Funny Guy

This is a great business! I did extensive trading with them for just over three years and have not had any problems. Plus, the owner has a great sense of humor! I highly recommend this company for your services. Also, they provide great feedback after the sale has been completed, as well as amazing customer support. Call their toll free number and you will have a real live human answer your call! Great business to deal with, I would highly recommend these guys.

You've Gotta Hand It To Guy

Humor is the number reason why I fall in love with Internet marketers like Guy Kawasaki. Guy makes almost everything about business feel like it's easy to do. Which isn't true, of course, but it helps to have a laugh or two while in the process of learning the strategies and what-have-yous along the way. And that's all the while getting ALL his points across. I became an instant fan when we were made to read part of his book in college, entitled "The Art of the Start: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything".

I was so impressed by this sort of quick reference guide for small start-ups that I did what I have never done before: wrote an email to the author. I wasn't expecting any reply from Kawasaki. I just felt like expressing my gratitude for him writing such a brilliant book. But guess what. He wrote an email back and thanked me for writing to him. Wow. Does any other famous business author do that? I guess not. With that little action I was deeply impressed with Guy. And made me idolize him even more.

"Make meaning not money" is one of his most memorable quotes, at least for me. It summarizes everything I believe in sales. We are not out to just sell, we should be out to be of help to others by the products and services we offer, heck even change their lives for the better through it. Who can NOT admire him for that belief? I've been his fan ever since that day I read "The Art of the Start", and have been reading most of his books when I can from then on. When I started a Twitter account, he was one of the people I immediately looked for to follow, as I know that I will learn so much more from him through said social platform.

He's smart and has irreverent humor and pragmatic and charming and a great motivator. To put it shortly, he's my type of marketing Guy.
