Mike Filsaime Bio

Mike Filsaime has had many titles throughout the years, he has been known as a prolific author, a personal coach, an international speaker, a business consultant, and an extremely successful Internet Marketing guru. These accomplishments have made him highly respected in the online business world.

Mr. Filsaime started out studying Computer Science and Business Administration at the New York Institute of Technology and from there parlayed his degrees into a successful car dealership business of which he became General Manager. The knowledge he has obtained has made him one of the most sought after Internet Marketing professionals in the world. His expertise has allowed him to teach thousands of people how to create their own successful online businesses and become a millionaire in the process just as he once did.

Mike Filsaime Detailed Overview

Along with his reputation online, Mike Filsaime has made not only a name for himself, but a successful mentoring business as well. The meager beginnings of running a dealership taught him the business strategies he now teaches today and those that made him a millionaire in less than 3 years. He was still working at the dealership when he decided it was time to share his knowledge with the world and move on.

The most popular product that Filsaime has been known for is the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript; this one program has become the number one selling program on the Internet today. Two of his other products, The 7 Figure Code and Carbon Copy Marketing have also become extremely successful and sought after. Along with creating hugely successful programs, Mike now owns over 40 websites with the help of a small staff.

Filsaime believes that to be successful and earn money in a short amount of time, you need to be an aggressive marketer. That being said, he also believes that in order to be truly successful you must be able to enjoy the rewards of all of your hard work as well. Firmly believing that life is worth so much more than money and wealth, he instructs to others that it is how you go about obtaining the wealth while still maintaining your quality of life and family that is most important.

Another key aspect in business and being successful is the process of learning. Filsaime believes that you should never assume to know everything about everything. Constant updating of your knowledge is needed to be successful. This is why he regularly meets with other top Internet marketers to bounce ideas and strategies off of them and take what he learns and implement it into his business practices.

Sharing his success with others has made him a success in its own. He has shared his secrets by writing eBooks that are affordable to all who are interested in knowing how he achieved his success. He doesn’t charge exuberant amount of money because he believes in his strategies and wants people to succeed just as he has without going into debt.

Taking in over 8 million dollars in 2008, he has secured his place as an expert in his field and will continue to reap the rewards in 2009 due to his hard work and drive. Currently, Mike Filsaime is working online as a full-time job and has an office located in Long Island, NY.

Disappointed, things not working as expected

As Mike is so well known, I thought that his Micro model business system would be good. Firstly I struggled for 2 weeks to make the purchase until he offered paypal option (he kept on saying on email to please try again, too many people ordering, that was clearly not the case ).

It stated that you'll be able to download the niche websites and host these yourself, which was not the case.

As it was at no extra cost, I was ok to host with him. After purchasing my domain name, I was unable to create the website with his servers as it gave an error when trying to do so. I also tried with a free domain, got the same issues.

I decided not to pursue this, too much of a struggle and very poor support, fortunately I was on a $1 trial and could cancel that.

Mike Filsaime's Reputation May Be Getting Tarnished

I don't know about Mike Filsaimes reputation anymore. I recently purchased Micro Model Business Systems from him (more than 90 days ago). I requested a refund and after more than 90 days I still have not received a refund. I don't even get a reply from his support any more except for an automated one. I am truly disappointed.

Mike filsame

Mike is a big money maker, one of the biggest and that might be his problem. He is always trying to squeeze as much money out of you as he can. But he does deliver quality products and some of his software actually works. He does want his clients to succeed but because he has so many he cannot respond to them via email. If you email him a Va (virtual assistant) will respond. I have never talked to Mike before and after buying his products I would expect to be able to talk with the maker. He is a good marketer.

Would not consider products from Mike Filsaime

I got Butterfly Marketing quite a number of years ago. The version I got may have been really early on. I read a bit of it, but it was so poorly written - terrible grammar, terrible spelling, and incorrect usage of vocabulary.

If he's really that illiterate, I just can't be bothered to spend time reading that kind of drivel. I've seen other products since that were written just about as poorly. I have a difficult time believing he can be good at what he puts out when he clearly has such a poor grasp of his native language.

I've heard him on teleseminars and webinars and he speaks the same way. I have no respect for him and always end up hanging up. It's rather strange to me that so many people speak highly of him and his products.

Worst Online Experience Ever

I'm sorry but my experience with Mike Filsaime has been nothing but a nightmare.

I've purchased two software packages from him and three info-products.

None of the software worked at all. I went around and around with his support and it was a total run around. After threatening to go to the BBB I finally got a refund on the first one.

The second time around it was the same thing. Nothing worked. To make matters worse his people were arrogant acting like it was all my fault. They even tried to sell me on yet another package of theirs while insulting me for not using their software correctly. Uhhhh really? I'm a computer programmer and I know what I'm doing. Your software does not work and after looking around I find I'm definitely not in the minority here. He's famous for selling broken junk.

It's been 8 weeks and no refund. I'm reporting them to the federal authorities. I never do that but I've had it up to here.

Their PDF books were pretty much all the same old junk you see everywhere else only with a lot more hype.

I'm a patient person and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this is just getting ridiculous. I will not give him any more of my money and I'm losing faith in all of these IM gurus.

Stand up guy

Mike Filsaime is a stand up guy that always goes out of his way to help up and coming marketers. Don't believe all the negative crap you see online.. Mike Filsaime is an awesome, innovative marketer that can be trusted. I've bought many of his products in the past and will buy his products in the future.

I unsubscribed long ago

I subscribed to one of MF's email lists long ago, but grew tired of his constant upselling of affiliate products. I can't remember ever learning anything from MF that was something I could implement? I have learned far more just reading articles and blog posts by Ali Brown and Kendall Summerhawk on Solo-E, AliBrown.com and KendallSummerhawk.com. Ali Brown has been recognized by Inc. 500(she made the 2009 list), as one of the fastest growing businesses. I've not heard of any such mainstream business recognition of Mike Filsaime? How can he be making millions of dollars a year and Inc. and Fortune magazines haven't noticed him yet? I am very skeptical of "gurus" who can't produce any real-world acknowledgment of their income claims. Be extremely wary.

Mega Marketer

Mike Filsaime is one of the Mega Internet Marketing Gurus that could make money putting together a product in a week’s time, and people will buy from him from name recognition alone. Although his promotions are all over the place, you can learn from his business model. If you do what he has done, you will succeed. Study him; that does not mean buying his products and implementing them. Study what he does, and that might be different than what he is selling you.

He doesn't talk about "How-to"s

I've read on the internet that Mike Filsaime was in the Car business before he started his internet marketing business.

I think Mike Filsaime always provides a lot of stuff, but what he always provides is a basic & overall concept of what we have to do. He doesn't talk that much about the actual how-to stuff. I personally like "How-to" kind of stuff rather than just the overview & basics.

That's why I've graded him as C. But I've to admit that he is very professional & also that he has good knowledge of the internet marketing business & many of the topics related to the internet marketing.

The concepts Are solid

So Mike Filsaime,

Yea all, he is a marketer, so yes he is gonna try to sell you stuff. That said, a lot of his concepts are pretty legit. I used the original butterfly marketing tactics to make a lot of money about a year and a half ago. I mean creating ways for other people to duplicate your processes is sound, absolutely. Does he send a lot of emails and promote a lot of other peoples products, yes, absolutely and you should always take IM Guru's stuff worth a grain of salt, but as with most of the products there are usually a few golden nuggets in there and Mike is no different.

Reminds Me Of A Car Dealership

My experience with Mike Filsaime has been brief and recent. I am admittedly a newbie with knowing enough to know I want to learn more...

I signed up for mailing list and as mentioned previously the products and s/w came an offer 2 or 3 times in my mailbox a week. Along the way I purchased a program that actually included having something snail-mailed to me.. Yes not digital but analog if you will.. Anyway, so I paid the shipping charges and here we are almost 4 weeks later and still nothing. Have sent emails, made phone calls and not one peep out of anyone... So I finally did a claim thru PayPal for my refund.. Even though I am new to this I am not new to the business world. And this person is so very interested in lining his pockets which is fine, but as many others on the web, he lets his customer service suffer because it doesn't make him money, but it will come back to bite him.. STAY AWARE..

Good Basic Overview

I like Mike's stuff but he never really provides more than a basic overview of what to do. He also never really provides the 'how-to' that I think people need. The biggest bright spot is that Mike's customer service is awesome!

Butterfly script was really good but other than that, he gets a C.

Mike Filsame bad experience

I got butterfly marketing and I admit, I am a total newbie, I was drawn in by the sales letter-but I never used any of it. But I automatically got put on two different subscriptions sites-one of which I was totally unaware of. I called to talk to a rep and it took two weeks of my calling and leaving messages to get through--they never called back. By the time I finally got a hold of someone and finally canceled my subscriptions I had been billed $200 for these various services I never used. When I emailed the complaint department the guy was rude and unwavering. I would not go near this company--they are not in integrity, not open to feedback and as far as my experience just trying to make money--not really interested in helping people.

He's everywhere

Whatever you do you will bump into one of his products, which do not prove to be that great or lucrative, at least for me. So, I guess his marketing campaign is pretty good, but I wish that the products would have been better to make me a happy and returning customers.

Be careful !

He is very good marketer and excellent at opening your wallet :D :D :D works very professionally, always is one of the first with new affiliate product launches, offers bonuses, upsells and downsells, so you can be easily fooled about real value of the product. One more thing, I regularly unsubscribe from his email list, but after a while he is back!

Mike Filsaime is great but

Mike Filsaime not for newbies and I do not recommend him for newbies. He is a brilliant marketer by his courses, and teachings are too advanced. I've been on his list before and pretty much all he does is market aggressively to his list. He is key player in the internet marketing world but I would like to see him lean towards helping newbies out more than advanced marketers. Pretty overall he is great but he ain't the best to me. But if you are pretty much intermediate to advanced than I would suggest getting his stuff.

He is not for newbies

Mike Filsaime has many newbie friendly, but in my opinion they are more geared towards people with experience and failed attempts.

He doesn't go into much detail in his programs, but they are good quality. Recently I bought the 7 figure code, and I wasn't that impressed. I still haven't received the report and it's been almost a month now. I am disappointed at that as I always saw him as a quality guy.

I think he is not so newbie friendly, but definitely can learn a thing or two from this guy, just be careful to not buy into every offer this guy has as he always tries to sell you.

Bait and Switch

I started receiving promotional emails from Mike Filsaime a few weeks ago. He was promoting his 'retirement' as a guru and as a parting gift he was giving away his 7 Figure Code DVD set (free, pay only shipping) a $1297 value according to Mike. My interest was piqued so I followed his trail of bread crumbs. The giveaway was set to begin at a specific time and was limited to 10,000 first come first served visitors to his site. Well after waiting for two hours past the 'go live' time the site finally opened. It turned out that the FREE product being offered now wasn't the DVD set at all but a lousy 100+ page printed and ring bound copy of the 7 Code program. The DVD sets were there on the site alright but at a cost of $97 + shipping. I was surprised so I went back to the promotional website to re-read it, making sure that I had read the offer correctly. I had. There it was in print saying that the DVD set would be offered free. There was even a sample of one of the videos there. I got angry and left a comment on his blog alleging 'bait and switch'. I was one of MANY people making negative comments on the blog at that point. I actually followed the blog into the evening as the negative comments poured in. I went back to the blog the following day to see what was happening and lo and behold all the negative comments, including mine, had been replaced with glowing reports about the product. Shame on you Mike Filsaime! I immediately unsubscribed from anything with Mike Filsaime's name on it and I have been warning people about his tactics whenever and wherever I can. Mike Filsaime - Be Careful!

Mike has Great Products!

I think Mike always puts out quality product, and I was a supporter when he first started. His products may have a learning curve for the beginning marketer, but they still are very good products. I started using the butterfly marketing system and had tremendous success. I always thought his programs were kinda high in price, but he still has created some unique marketing tools. He is definitely one of the leaders in internet marketing. I'm not sure if I'll give him the guru title yet, but his info is top of the line. One of the main things I learned from Mike is how to successfully launch a product. When I started to create my own e-books, I used a lot of his techniques to generate my first sales. I think Mike really knows his stuff, but it seems he's been kinda low key lately.

Mike Filsaime - good guy

I found out quite a bit amount Mike Filsaime before I bought any of his products, and I'm glad I did. I have had good experiences with Paydotcom, though I haven't made any money through it. I like the widget that you can put on your website, you can target the products to match your sites subject. When I got Butterfly Marketing I ripped it open like a kid at Christmas. He's got an audio set with like 12 CDs in it. I was introduced to many gurus in that audio. I paid $30 for that but would have gladly paid more for what I learned. Though Mike is one of those marketers who send many e-mails a week, I found his writing style to be very attractive and he is one of those guys whom you would like to follow. I recommend it.

He used to be a good marketer

He used to be one of my favorites back a year and a half ago. I used to be on his list because he provided value, but lately I had to unsubscribe since he was promoting every piece of software, every book or any other type of affiliate product he can get his hands on. I felt like he was squeezing every single dime of his list so I dropped out. I like some of Mike's products they are nice, but there are some which are rather useless for the price he offers them. The support for some of the products is also questionable, if you don't a have one of the high price products, support gets back to you in a week or so.

Disappointing service

While Butterfly Marketing did have groundbreaking concepts at the time, I've been on Mike Filsaime's list for several years, mainly because he's such a big name online, but I have not been overly impressed. He just pushes one product after another and never does much to build a relationship with his potential buyers. He comes across as a car salesman so it was no surprise to find he actually was one. He seems to promote thing just to make money rather than things he actually believes will help the buyer.

I got a free copy of his newsletter, which contained very little useful info and then was rather sneakily put on a continuity program where I was to pay $97 (I believe it was) per month to receive future copies - and it was only a couple pages in length! Hardly worth such a steep price. And then his support desk was just atrocious.

I will continue to approach anything he puts out or promotes with extreme caution.

Filsaime is slipping in credability

If you look at the sheer numbers of programs Filsaime has 'launched' at the top of this page, does that indicate anything? Sure he's a brilliant marketer with plenty of JV partners and internet marketing clout, but what does he DO with it? I've been on his 'lists' for years and have purchased a couple of his products, however I've lost respect for him lately. He appears to be on a roll with product launches and is turning out some poorly developed systems and products with virtually NO user support, apparently while he's off launching the slick marketing on the next one. Seems Filsaime is spreading himself WAY too thin in supporting too many product launches, then dumping them for the next one before they even get off the ground. Once known as an internet expert, seems he's ridden on name alone for a bit too long. These days I approach anything with his name on it with great caution.

Mike is one of my favorite marketers

I am one of the earliest buyer of Mike's "butterfly marketing manuscript". Mike has always been very helpful to me and I always found his e-mails to be full of quality information.

Mike has always been opening new possibilities for the internet marketing world and recently I joined his "affiliateJump" network which is a 100% approval CPA network.

Though Mike is one of those marketers who send many e-mails a week, I found his writing style to be very attractive and he is one of those guys whom you would like to follow.

Mike Filsaime:Not so helpful for the newbies

I have been a regular subscriber of Mike for the last year. Though he is a very resourceful person, I don't like his aggressive e-mail marketing tactics. Mike usually sends one e-mail per day , sometimes two and I have found all of his mails to be promotional in nature. So if you are expecting to be benefited by being his subscriber then forget about it.

But you should consider purchasing his products when you gain some experience in IM. His products are phenomenal because the man has great insight in marketing.

Recently I bought his launch tree course and I should admit that it has some of the best in depth research into benefiting more and more from your existing subscribers base.

Here is my issue - credibility gap is growing

Mike is running a major networking business and is astute at the growth aspect. Operationally, Adam Kayes and his sales team are good at what they do. The problem I have is that he lacks credibility in speaking to new marketers because he is outclassing them with sales techniques while knowing that his products really require LISTS... THE KEY WORD. I have personal experience with his corporate leadership which has been quite positive, however, there is just too much distance between him and the affiliates' realities now. The affiliate on the ground needs to be agile, flexible, and have a diverse set of skills. Repitching used material that has gone out the window is the oldest trick in the book but it still works on new investors into this field. That is what upsets me. Having gone through it, I can relate. So, even though I would hire Mike in a second to develop my launch strategy... if I am brand new, I run away from Mike Filsaime. Instead I run to Mike Callen... for SEO training... then Yaro... for a real understanding of membership site business and blogging (I would throw in Matthew Bredel who many not be well known, but his efforts are outstanding). If you can learn how to understand how to drive traffic and you can write... you are lightyears ahead of beginning to make profits online than simply buying into the affiliate game and throwing your money around at products that are LIST DEPENDENT. I can't stress that enough. Unfortunately, that is where Mike Filsaime lies in the marketplace right now. His products are better for more experienced people, but are sold to newer marketers eager to earn $100k a year.

Mike Filsaime - Frustration King

After spending so many dollars (I lost count) on products from Mike Filsaime, and having almost no luck at all getting any quality support (there was support, but not sufficient to resolve problems) I decided to find out how many other people were having the same problems getting support for a product that was not working as advertised.

It took the threat of a class-action to get the attention of the great Filsaime, and get his attention it did. I was immediately banned from all websites he owns, threatened with a slander lawsuit (not sure how I could be sued for slander when every word I said was the absolute truth), and chastised for voicing complaints about a product that still doesn't work as advertised to this day as far as I an tell (see the review under "Instant Affiliate Website" for full details).

The positive thing I can say about Mike Filsaime is that he ordered his staff to refund all monies I had ever paid to his company for any product or service. They did indeed make a full refund of all monies I had ever paid. So why is this a problem? I had invested thousands of dollars and countless hours promoting many of those products/sites, only to have them all shut down and my IP banned from using them ever again. So, I give Mike credit for making full refunds, but I still have the thousands of dollars and countless hours of wasted time to chew on after the fact.

When all is said and done, Mike is a great used-car salesman that knows how to sell almost anything. So, if you want to learn how to sell, learn from Mike Filsaime. However, if you want to learn how to sell with integrity and honesty, try somewhere else! (my personal opinion - not slander)

Walk on eggshells when dealing with Mike Filsaime. I am sure he has some good products and services, but be sure to do your due diligence before spending a dime. Ensure you know what you are paying for and what you are getting in return. Be absolutely sure you are willing to take the RISK of losing it all, including your hard work and time, before investing. Once you are willing to accept the full risk, then proceed with caution.

I found out quite a bit amount Mike Filsaime before I bought any of his products, and I'm glad I did.

Some people complained about the too great a frequency of emails (every couple of days/twice per week). My experience of this has been varied since joining his mailing list: he'll market aggressively just before & after a big launch to grab your attention,

... but he has integrity and goes out of his way to make it easy to cancel subscriptions with continuity products. He's even registered cancelmetoday.com which is a brilliant idea & it worked flawlessly when I opted-out of his latest newsletter.

Overall, I've given him a B rather than an A grade, because I feel that his emails are just a bit too frequent for my personal liking.

I have to say though, I mainly look at his emails for great ideas, so if you want to learn good copy, he's a great unintentional teacher.

I HIGHLY rate the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript + DVD's/audios.

So perhaps I'd like to give him an A minus!

A great guy, with high integrity.

Larger than life

You know that anytime Mike is selling something it's because he has already completely used it up and he's selling the burnt-out crap from the bottom of the pot.

He is an absolutely brilliant marketer but is only in it for himself. He has made millions off the backs of newbies and wannabes and continues to do so.

If he's trying to sell you something for $1, it's because it's worth nothing and he figures that if his name is on it, people will buy it.

And make sure you read the fine print and watch out for those surprise monthly credit card charges.

Great Newsletters

I don't know where I encountered Mr. Filsaime in my first days as an Internet Marketer, but I have been receiving his e-mails for years. He is one of the very few that I have not unsubscribed from, because he continually has valuable tips in each and every of his letters. I haven't bought any of his programs or scripts, but if they are any reflection of the marketing information he imparts, they have to be great.

Marketers, Are You Ready For The Truth?

Mike Filsaime and his Newsletter

Mike Filsaime is a very crafty guy. His style may appeal to some, but I think he takes advantage of the little guy to grow his empire. All it takes is a few here and a few there to start the money flow. He will get your card number to cover the cost of shipping for his butterfly marketing material and somewhere in there you are paying 29.95 a month for a newsletter of 16 pages. It will take them a couple of months before they stop hitting your card. There is no way he will refund. How many people does he do this to in a month? His techniques leave a foul taste in your mouth. He has other little ways of getting your contact list by telling you he will give you three dollars for anybody that signs up with him. I've seen only the bad side of the great Mike Filsaime. I'm glad that I only had a few hundred contacts at that time. Of course none of them wanted to join up with him. I know this because I never received a dime. I bet he sends my friends and contacts something everyday. He should be proud of how he makes a living.

I don't feel that Mike Filsaime is an honest guy. I delete any emailswith his name in them. His talents are too above me I guess, but hewill take your money in a heartbeat and does not care if you learn athing. He got your money didn't he? Job done until time for the nextsale.

By the way, his newsletter, "MARKETINGDOTCOM" is not worththe 29.95 he will charge you for each month when he gets a hold of yourcard number. It may as well have been written in Chinese. Sixteen pagesof his buddies making comments is how I interpreted it. Can't wait tohear from another reviewers' perspective on this guy.

Filsaime feels for your credits

I had the chance to subscribe to his newsletters in paydotcom some time ago. Ever since, he was sending me e-mails about this marketing strategy and that making money scheme. My email automatically dumped his emails to my spam folder, that is when I thought something must be wrong about this guy and his schemes.

The last email I got was an investment scheme of only $1 for some templates about earning "very fast". I wonder how fast would that be, because if it really is, then why don't he do it himself?

See, a thousand people who joins and pay $1 each would mean $1000 dollars for him.

Highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant website. I have used it for my own business purposes on many occasions. The free DVD is a helpful additional feature, and Mike Filsaime is a trustworthy and highly recommended speaker.

Good Free Resources

But you have to know where to look. Mike has come up with InstantBuzz, a traffic exchange program that includes toolbar ads, "Mailspace" ads (which are like a signature at the top of an email), and "Hyperspace" (Fly-in ads). It's a good free program, but not without it's bugs. I have to open Firefox twice, as the toolbar ads won't load the first time.

I have had good experiences with Paydotcom, though I haven't made any money through it. I like the widget that you can put on your website, you can target the products to match your sites subject.

I don't think I would buy anything from Mike, as all his programs seem to be of about the same caliber, and the free ones work well enough for me.

He also has a Twitter app coming out, Tweet Glide. We'll have to see how that goes...

Love Him or Hate Him

Whether you love him or hate him, Mike Filsaime is an Internet Marketer to watch.

I loved some of his stuff and have been disappointed by others but I must admit, Mike is always out in front when it comes to trying something new and innovated in launching his latest products. I've learned a lot about what not to do and some awesome techniques to swipe.

My experience with Mike Filsaime

I came in contact with Mike Filsaime through Amit Mehta's PPC Classroom. He was giving away Butterfly Marketing for $29.95. He even gave me a 140-page ebook titled, "The Resource Report" during his promotion of Butterfly Marketing.

Mike used to do something called 'forced continuity'. That means that he would force you into his continuity program as a prerequisite to getting any of his products. Too many complaints and too many refunds forced him to rethink that practice. I think he heard that Ryan Deiss was doing something called 'optional continuity' which was working much better so he switched to that model when he launched Launch Tree with Anik Singal.

Optional continuity works better because it gives people an option to whether or not they want to be part of the continuity program. And surprisingly enough, more people opt-in to continuity when they have a choice as to whether or not they want it.

When I got Butterfly Marketing I ripped it open like a kid at Christmas. He's got an audio set with like 12 CDs in it. I was introduced to many gurus in that audio. I paid $30 for that but would have gladly paid more for what I learned.

There's also a 50 or so page book in there. Again, a great read. But I had previous experience with most of what he talked about so it all made sense to me. But I wouldn't recommend it for newbies.

Overall, Mike knows what he's doing and he's a great guy to follow. I recommend him highly.

NEWBIE ALERT: Mike is NOT for you.

Yes, money back was easy.

I read recently an advertisement for 'PayDotCom. com' about emails that I can send my info to 5000 leads.

I paid $189 to get in. But I found out that is not what I was looking for and I asked for refund explaining that I am wrong and want my money back. First I got an email where they explained to me exactly what are my possibilities with being member and how it works etc. But I decided to not continue with PayDotCom. com, and I got my money back in 2 days. I was surprised how easy it was.
