Shawn Collins is been involved in affiliate marketing since 1997 and is co-founder of the Affiliate Summit and founder of GeekCast.fm. He has enjoyed success not only as an editor (FeedFront Magazine) but also as an author of the best-selling and highly acclaimed book 'Successful Affiliate Marketing For Merchants'. He also contributes to his daily blog 'Affiliate(Tip)' which gives affiliate marketers valuable information about the industry.
Shawn Collins has been extremely successful in his affiliate marketing endeavors. He was ranked as one of the 100 Most Influential Marketers of 2009, is an EzineArticles.com Platinum Expert Author, and has won many other awards. His blog 'Affiliate(Tip)' keeps affiliate marketers apprised of the latest news in the industry which is perfect for keeping ahead of the trends and tweaking your marketing as necessary. Marketers will be able to learn how well (or badly) others in the industry are doing and work their campaigns accordingly. But, the blog is not only information from Shawn, other experts in the field are constantly doing guest-blogs on the site.
There is a whole section on the blog that is dedicated to helping affiliate newbies. There is a video of Shawn talking about how to make money online with affiliate marketing. He also goes over the seven things you need to do to set up and affiliate site and they are:

- Get a domain name and pick one that is relevant to the topic you are writing about.
- Choose good hosting, there may be some free hosting out there but you usually get what you paid for.
- Choose a good email/autoresponder service.
- Practice patience because an affiliate site is not a "get rich quick" thing, it takes some time and dedication.
- Find your voice and write about things you know in a style that represents you.
You will learn how to best set-up and run an affiliate site as well as where to find the products you want to promote. Shawn is a highly paid marketing speaker and you are getting all of this valuable information absolutely free of charge.
Affiliate marketing (like anything else in life) has a learning curve before you can do it successfully. Coaching and training are the best ways to learn all the tips and techniques that will make your website successful, but many people don't have the time or money to travel to training conferences. Shawn the master of affiliates Among all the affiliate marketers and authors present in our times, the best I found was Shawn Collins. He is an owner of a site and he has written many books on affiliate marketing which gives a starting person who is interested in marketing through internet a clear idea and gives training through his books. From his books and articles I have learned how to set-up and run the best affiliate site and even where to find the major and prominent products that I need to promote. According to me, Shawn is a highly paid affiliate marketer among all of the rest. He contributes much to present marketing skills and learning them in detail.

Best blog for affiliate marketers When I started my career as a affiliate marketer there was no good source of knowledge to learn deep into this field. The experience shows I have tried numerous services and opportunities to further myself in affiliate marketing, but despite my extensive experience I still consider myself a newbie. Shawn Collins however is definitely not and everything I have seen coming from him has been top-notch and has only allowed me to help overcome my status as a neophyte. I like to bookmark blogs such as Shawn's which are helpful to me gaining new information and opportunities and his is near the top of my list because of the unique information it provides. You really must look into making Shawn Collin's blog a daily read as it is essential in establishing an affiliate site and I would never have been able to do it without the help I have gotten from reading his blog. |
