Build a Niche Store Description

Build a Niche Store is a software program that allows you to build ecommerce sites. The software bases its product displays from the eBay network so you will have to be an affiliate of theirs in order to use it. The intuitive process takes you from choosing a template to a niche store with relevant product listings.

Build a Niche Store Detailed Overview

If you’ve followed the affiliate marketing news over the last few years, then you may have heard about affiliates having success with eBay’s program. eBay’s affiliate program is very profitable because you are paid whenever a new eBay user registers and bids within 30 days, and you are paid a commission of the total purchase made.

Build a Niche Store (BANS) takes advantage of eBay’s affiliate programs and is a PHP script that helps you create custom niche sites. The software is installed in your web server. After it’s installed, you can login to the admin area and start setting up your site.

First off, BANS comes with templates which you can easily customize. The ability to use your own templates is available – you just need to edit the PHP code. You can choose to run it on a blog or as a static site. The program’s interface is very straightforward and really walks you through the whole site building process step-by-step. It operates as a WYSIWG editor and you start by adding your meta tags, keywords and description to filling out the navigation bars for each page. Next, you start adding the products on the site.

There are so many ways to show product listings with BANS. You can display as many as 100 products on a page, display products by a specific eBay seller, display products only in a chosen category, display products that contains certain keywords, list or remove buy it now items, display multiple pages of products, show products by highest price/lowest price/ending soon/newly listed/by minimum bid/maximum bid and more.

The main way to list products is by category. But I found out that you need to really drill down to a specific niche if you want good traffic with moderate competition. Within an hour and a half, I got my first BANS site completed. I took a little extra time to play around with it, so I can’t see why anyone can’t set up a whole site in 30-45 minutes once you get used to using the program.

The program comes with tutorials on using templates, choosing a niche, doing keyword research, monetizing your site and even customizing the look. It takes you through step-by-step through every part of the process. The user manual is also easy to follow and provides clear instructions on using BANS. I didn’t have much trouble using BANS, but when I did get stuck, the manual solved my problems.

I have to really praise the creators Kelvin and Adam Firminger, as they provide you multiple site licenses. They also made sure that BANS sites would be SEO friendly and built in all the features so that you can start getting search engine traffic to your sites as easily as possible. The content is from eBay’s datafeeds so they are always changing (dynamic) but despite that, these sites don’t have any trouble getting ranked.

The whole point to using BANS is to set up multiple stores that bring you monthly income. Some customers have had big success and created sites that makes a couple of thousands of dollars per month. But you should shoot for a site that makes at least $100-$200 a month and build on your success.

The creators of BANS support the program 100%. They are always looking for ways to improve the program and provide better training. So far, the program is on its third version and has kept up with eBay’s migration to EPN (away from commission junction). They provide excellent customer service and have a community forum dedicated to helping customers share information and resolve any issues with the program.

Build a Niche Store Reputation

Build a Niche Store is a great tool to take advantage of eBay’s affiliate program. Although many site builders have steep learning curves and are often complicated, I was impressed by how simple it was to use this program. It contained all the features I could want in a program like this and the training/examples really helped show how it could be used.

Many users have used BANS to create multiple sites that generate consistent income with success. The program has received mostly positive reviews. There is a bit of a learning curve in choosing niches as many beginners choose too large a category, making it hard to stay focused and rank easily in the search engines. It may take a few tries in order to get a few sites making you recurring monthly earnings, but once you get rolling, it becomes very easy to crank out profitable sites.

Ebay Market Class

As a student I use eBay as a solution for all my useless items that I am not using anymore.

Through the last two years I was trying to find an easy way to sell my items in a good price without having problems with calculating the right price for sale.

Build a Niche Store just helped me with it and found a solution for most of my problems. Now, after few months I'm getting an income of about 400$ each month for selling my useless items for money without even waiting and even more !

I found this product useful and Cheap ! make it easy to use by any one.

Good way to earn affiliate money from eBay

I have seen people making money from Amazon affiliates but eBay affiliates is new to me. BANS is a pretty simple DIY website builder integrated with niche keyword planner and more. It lets you easily create a niche website and earn money in a few weeks. It sells a package at a low fee and it's an one time fee. As their tagline says, earn money from other people's items. It will be a great move to buy their package if you really really want to make money from niche websites. You won't see the influx of affiliate money soon. It would take a few weeks to know how it works and start making money.

Support not answering

I tried to contact this website support 2-3 times but no answer. It looks this site lives its life on it's own and there is no support. I always when I want to buy a product first contact customer service to see if they answer and how helpful they are. Just to minimize risks, here I got no reply and of course did not buy this product.

Warning No Support Available

I purchased BuildANicheStore recently. The site offers a money back guarantee so I thought it was safe to check the product out. The first red flag was when I tried to contact the seller using the email address on the invoice and it was no good. I was able to download the script. And there is a considerable amount of documentation available online. But when I ran into problems, I quickly realized that support only exists as existing online documentation. There was no support contact form or email address on the site. I googled and found a BANS support system. But my support ticket was never answered. There is a forum but there is no way to register for the forum. I found a very bad bug in the script (not saving content) and had to search on google for a work around. In my opinion, BuildANicheStore is just short of a being a scam. No support and most likely no refund. I recommend looking at other options.

BANS Got Me Where I Am Today

After months of research and commitment I came across BANS (build a niche store) which was recommended to me by a friend. BANS's script is simple, straight forward and easy to install and within minutes you can have an affiliate store ready to make you money.

However, although BANS can create a great income, many people have caught on and the saturation in the market is now unbelievable. I now see BANS stores left right and center.

So, overall, one word of advice from me would be to do some keyword research on any particular niche and then market eBay and Amazon products based on you niche and keywords. I have now got 7 stores which I manage and each one is optimized for a different keyword.

Despite the learning curve, BANS is responsible for my first $100 online which was through eBay partner network. Now, I simply set and forget since my sites sell themselves and I get just over 5 sales a week which pays for my hosting and domains for all my other online ventures.

How build a nice online shop

Looking backward, some time ago I saw myself struggling to find a possible source for making an online income. A good friend gave me a hint with Building a Niche Store. Since that moment I kept searching and trying different types of software that would suit my need for selling things online.

Recently I stumbled upon this Build a Niche Store script and at this moment I take maximum advantage of it. I use the script in order to promote eBay products and receive a percent of each product sold in my BANS. Got some great sells, can't complain of anything!

Nice and easy to use

I've been comparing Niche with other e-commerce builders, and the result is Niche is better than others. Niche is specialized on e-commerce and affiliate programs.

Niche is easy to build, it's just take about one hour to complete my e-commerce site and run it. Niche template is a nice template, but we just got 4 templates. Anyway, Niche is not only good on e-commerce, my friend use it's site builder, and the result is nice to..

Build a Niche Store is awesome

I've been using BANS for two years now. I now have 3 stores built with this product, and every one is doing better than the last. The product creators, Adam and Kelvin have recently seemed to abandon BANS, leaving all technical questions to users on the forum. There are also many blogs and websites dedicated to BANS that are extremely informative. The BANS software was doing a great job and I always had new items appearing on my website daily. I found it to be a bargain and very easy to start and use while learning the basics. Just make sure to follow the detailed instructions that accompany the software. I give it big A.

Great software, but I had little success

About 8 months ago I wanted to start the ebay affiliate program and see if I could make a little extra cash. I didn't have much experience with building websites are affiliate programs so I was looking for something I could sink my teeth into and setup rather quickly. I did a little research on Google and I came across BANS. After reading some reviews about it I decided to give it a try. The installation and setup was very straight forward and well documented. Within a few days I had my store up and running. The BANS software was doing a great job and I always had new items appearing on y website daily. Unfortunately I did not make any significant money using the affiliate program with ebay. The BANS software did what it was supposed to do, but I think my market niche was just to heavily saturated with so many other websites that I could not generate significant traffic.

Build a Niche Store can make you money!

As long as you understand the "niche" concept, BANS is a great way for someone who is new to internet marketing to get their feet wet in starting their own business. I now have 6 stores built with this product, and every one is doing better than the last. As mentioned above by Jaap(who I miss on the forums), you will need a bit of understanding of HTML in order to customize your sites in order to engage your visitors so they will stay on your site and not just click off once they get there. The same principals apply to BANS as any other niche website, such as quality content, marketing and providing your visitor with a reason to buy from you.

A key part of BANS is eBay Partner network. You must be accepted in order to incorporate their products into your site. Though I have not tried to join, I understand that the Pepperjam Network is also a viable option to getting accepted to EPN. Recently EPN has changed their policies on the way that affiliates get paid. In the past, we were paid 50% of the commission that eBay collected when one of our visitors clicked through to an auction and placed a winning bid. Their new policy is Quality Click Pricing. Now your visitors to eBay must be targeted more than ever. This means that if you are selling blue widgets, you want your visitors to buy something from the blue widget category, not a hot tub. In the past we did get paid on anything our visitor bought, but it seems eBay wants to make sure their affiliates are doing a proper job sending highly targeted traffic to their site.

Though the payment structure is changing, as of this writing eBay is showing us a preview of what our earnings will be with QCP versus our current payment plan. So far so good for me, if the trend continues I am on track to triple my earnings!

The product creators, Adam and Kelvin have recently seemed to abandon BANS, leaving all technical questions to users on the forum. There are plenty of knowledgeable users there that are happy to offer help with any questions or problems you may face. Most questions have already been answered on the forums, so it is best to use the search feature before posting a question, as this seems to irritate some of the members. There are also many blogs and websites dedicated to BANS that are extremely informative.

All in all, a great product to get started with on your way to develop a successful IM business. At $97, I found it to be a bargain and very easy to start and use while learning the basics; just make sure to follow the detailed instructions that accompany the software.

Also, with eBay constantly changing their rules, remember to not keep all your eggs in one basket and diversify your marketing efforts.

BANS is what YOU make it!

Greetings!

I've been using BANS for two or three years now, and I've got a dozen stores at the moment. Straight out of the box BANS is your typical "thin affiliate site" which is highly disapproved of by Google. So there's work to be done! Customize the template, add (lots of) informative content pages, take care that on the store pages is also some informative text, and play with illustrations. In short: work towards creating an authority site. In my signature, there's an example of a fairly representative site where all the above has happened, and is still happening. Such a site makes money.

There are unfortunately some aspects of BANS that I am less than enthusiastic about. It's advertising is misleading to say the least. There's no way that a total newbie to the internet can set up, refine and duly exploit a BANS store. No way at all. Before I got kicked off their forum for making this clear to desperate newbies, I noticed many postings a day that asked for help uploading files, naming illustrations with the right extensions, basic HTML, working with Windows; All are basic operating system questions. In short, BANS is bought by far too many rookies who are drawn in by the misleading advertising.

Making this clear and advising newbies to leave BANS alone for two or three weeks, do some basic homework instead, and then come back to BANS and try again, is taboo on their forum because (at least Adam and Kelvin are refreshingly honest about this) it might negatively influence sales of the program. They're fairly drastic in totally banning people who challenge the sweet smoke screen they hide the difficulties of BANS behind.

For those who have done their homework, though, (and can live without access to the BANS forum - wide grin!), Build A Niche Store is a very good piece of software that makes the creation of moneymaking eBay affiliate sites easy and actually quite pleasurable.

So: do I like the software? YES! Do I like the dishonest crowd behind it? NO! But since the "crowd" is far less important than the software, I recommend BANS to anybody with a sound basic knowledge of internet stuff and website building. Newbies, though, are in for a disappointment.

Be well!

Jaap Verduijn.

BANS is a great product... Just one Issue to Beware

I bought the BANS software, too, and agree is not only has great potential but is highly supported both with updates and suggestions on the forums and the BANS blog. However, in order to USE it, one has to get approved by the eBay Partner Network. This used to be simple, but now they are more stringent. The website address included in the application needs to be well-developed and related to the niche. Not knowing this, I had entered the address of a fairly new blog that was not yet getting a lot of traffic, and my application was denied. No reason was given, so I didn't know why at first. Then I read about it over at Jim Cockrum's SST site and learned the same has been happening to a lot of folks lately. eBay has become much more picky about who they approve. So I'm developing the blog and will have to try again to be accepted into the eBay Partner Network before I can use the software.

It seems I remember reading somewhere that PepperJam might suffice in lieu of EBAY Partner Network, and that it is easier to get accepted there as an affiliate but I'm not certain about that. The bottom line is that BANS is high quality clever software, but one must jump through a few hoops to be allowed to USE it, so it might be wise to get accepted as an affiliate FIRST, then buy the software.
