I Hate PHP Description

I Hate PHP was written by a web designer who was frustrated with all the money he had wasted on PHP tutorials that left him just as confused as before. This e-book was written for people who want to understand PHP once and for all and who want to finally do away with the trial and error they go through every time they try to upload pages with it. I Hate PHP is for beginners to PHP as well as those who simply haven’t “gotten it” yet despite all their efforts.

I Hate PHP Detailed Overview

I Hate PHP is a step-by-step course for beginners. It is not, however, for people who are beginning as far as building websites. To get anything from this book, you have to know at least a little about HTML and editing in notepad. You don’t have to be an expert in HTML—few of us are—but you at least should not be the kind of person who runs screaming from the room when you think you might have to use it.

When you build websites on a fairly regular basis, you eventually run into having to use PHP to upload your pages to the server. The first time that you are required to do this can be frightening; after that, it can simply be downright frustrating. In I Hate PHP, the writer explains how he sympathizes with those who wish that nobody ever had to use PHP, but goes on to explain that it is, unfortunately, here to stay. With this e-book, he attempts to break down the PHP process in small enough steps so that people who read it and follow along can finally have their “aha!” moments and then go on to lead lives that are free of PHP stress. In I Hate PHP, he promises to always explain things at a level that anyone can understand and breaking it down into steps helps people not feel so overwhelmed with the information.

Those who complain that I Hate PHP isn’t worth it because PHP is actually easy to learn and understand are usually those whose conversations about website building leave most of us glassy-eyed. Any book that helps people to understand the often murky world of PHP should be on the resource shelf of any less-than-genius website builder.

I Hate PHP Reputation

I Hate PHP is a relatively small e-book. It’s not going to win any awards nor catapult its writer to Internet stardom, but none of that matters when it comes to how helpful it can be. Those who build websites and have struggled with PHP have reported that the book has been a great help to them, and they keep it nearby at all times when they’re working on their websites.

Sounded familiar

The title sounded pretty familiar to me... I tried and tried, but never got any of it to work, but there was hope! I actually am now capable of coding PHP! It's amazing... I used this ebook, and a few google searches to get it working, because it would be impossible to know everything at once...

I suggest you just search everything when you're trying to learn PHP! because it's easy to make mistakes...

Great product to help starters

I Hate PHP is an e-book I happened to find around four months ago and because I saw it receiving a lot of positive feedback, I decided to give it a shot. Back then, before trying the product I was searching for something on the PHP subject since my skills were pretty low. The tutorial really did what it was supposed to do and I was very pleased with the results I achieved. The course was not expensive and considering how many new things I was able to learn, I believe that it was well worth it. Like the claims state, in I Hate PHP you won't find some complicated terms. The information is greatly presented and it is very easy to understand. Certainly great for people, beginning to work with PHP coding. The topics covered are explained comprehensively and the author goes into some nice details which really helped me utilize everything more easily. For each specific technique or method, there were some nice examples given that also made it more clear. In my opinion the guide wouldn't be the best choice for the more advanced users and if you know the basics, then maybe you should search for an information product that goes deeper in PHP. The topics you will get to read contain original information and you will be having hard time, finding them for free. Overall I am highly recommending the product to newbies because they will definitely find some helpful advices. If you are not happy with the content, then there's also a 30 day money back guarantee included.

Worth the price

I have built websites with html in the past, but when it came to php I was clueless. I was using Wordpress for all my websites which was annoying because I had no creative control over them; I could only make my sites from pre-designed templates.

I bought this ebook and was not disappointed. With it, I learned some PHP basics through a very beginner friendly step by step guide. While the information in the book was not enough for me to learn how to build an entire PHP based website, I am now able to make landing pages with PHP entirely from scratch, and can edit wordpress templates to get them designed the way I want.

For only $17, it is definitely worth the price.

This was a product I really liked

I had tried similar e-books on the PHP subject and I can't say I was satisfied with the results I got. I Hate PHP was a course I happened to stumble upon about three and a half months ago. I was hesitating a bit at first whether to buy it or not. After reading some positive feedback I made the decision of trying it out though. The book proved to be perfect for me since there were no technical terms and things that are hard to understand for a newbie. All of the information was presented in a way that is easy to digest and I had no problems with understanding the concepts. The techniques and strategies included were straight forward and with good examples. This book can really serve as a basic in PHP programming and it is a good learning curve for beginners. After reading it a good thing to do will be getting yourself something more serious, with more comprehensive information. A good addition was the 30 day money back guarantee included though I did not use it. The money you spend is definitely not too much for what you get. I have to say that some parts of the information can be found for free, but in my opinion purchasing I Hate PHP is still worth it.

I don't HATE PHP

I used to code in C/C++/ASM and others. When me and my friend started a web project I was in charge of developing scripts in PHP and it was really easy to go from C to PHP due to my previous experience.

PHP is quite similar to C. The logic is almost the same, the conditions, loops etc. The most critical difference I've noticed is the way we declare variables. In PHP we don't need to use char, int, float, or even be worried about memory allocation and pointers.

The e-book's content is straightforward and well structured. It has useful examples (using a little bit of sarcasm due to writer's previous experience:)) and if you want more from it you gotta DIY.

It is a good source of information for beginners with no PHP programming experience.

Hate PHP? Not anymore

This ebook is quite good and not only because of the way it is written but also because the author had sensibility and patience to capture the user. Attention, this isn't a book for experts or solid programmers, this is for rookies like myself. Having some

knowledge in HTML I decided to move into PHP, and I came across this

ebook recommended by a good friend of mine. Well, it is GOOD! It is the perfect ebook to get you started, after this I already started getting more info around but I own it all to ihatephp.com. The ebook doesn't give up on you and presents perfect examples for you to follow

and understand. It keeps you informed and goes side-by-side with you on the early steps of php.

Moreover, the price is super cheap for the information and support you get. Not many ebooks get you interested in php or any other subject as this one. If you curious about php or just starting,

get this one NOW!

Haha, I love the concept!

This e-book was bought because of the hilarity I got from someone--not just myself--that was so frustrated with PHP! Trying to graduate from old-school (HTML) to the new stuff (xHTML, PHP) was driving me crazy. So since I had some decent experience & wasn't quite the guru in PHP, I decided to give this book a try.

It's very basic, so it'll help anyone who's very new to the subject and just wants to jump into the simple stuff. It'll teach you simple codes and has plenty of examples for you to go by.

I keep the book for simple reference, but as you understand PHP more you're going to want one of those books the author probably sold from their collection on eBay. :) If you enjoy PHP, that is. If you want your website to function off of PHP and do things like member log-ins and stuff, you'll need a more detailed tutorial elsewhere.

Otherwise, great book. Definitely recommend to buy, and it won't break your bank. Give it a try!

A simple and easy to follow PHP book - recommended for rookies

The writer of this book does a very good job to present you with the basics of PHP. Things never get too complicated to frustrate a newcomer to server side scripting/programming. It’s not a book for the intermediate or the advanced or experienced programmer – just the rookie who just starts up and needs an easy, clean-written guide with straightforward examples. To be honest, there are tutorials and guides as clean and straightforward out there – online and for free, which can give you the same results – probably faster and in a more organized and reliable way. Nevertheless, it’s a guide that can get you started in PHP programming and after this book you can dive deeper into PHP, whether that be a deeper, more advanced book or a video tutorial. The writer gives you a 30-day money back guarantee if you don’t –for any reason- like “I hate PHP”. The bottom line for me is that for 17 dollars –which is the cost of this guide- you get good value and you probably won’t regret it. On the other hand I believe there are free – such as good or better – tutorials online, which you can easily access at any time. It’s probably your choice which way you like it better.

I hate PHP

Yes I really do hate PHP. I cannot stand it. I stumbled across this site a little while ago whilst I was having some frustration with learning PHP. At $17, with the good conversion (at the time) of GBP to USD, the e-book actually worked out quite a good price. I was happy with the content of the e-book. It's a nice little step-by-step guide, although it is written for beginners and isn't suitable if you want to go all out and create an all singing, all dancing PHP site from scratch in a day or two.

After reading the book, do I still hate PHP? Yes - with a passion!
