ListDotCom Description

ListDotCom is a service created by Mike Filsaime that helps you build a list of opt-in subscribers. It integrates the pyramid multi-level marketing structure in which downlines are involved. The whole selling point of ListDotCom is that you will get to leverage the people that you have referred and be able to email the other people they refer to the service.

ListDotCom Detailed Overview

ListDotCom uses leverage and viral marketing to help you build you a huge list faster than doing it on your own. But the question is: Is the service worth using and does it produce results? I’m going to go into how the system works and explain the features that are built in.

The service is similar to what’s called a safelist. A safelist is basically a community of people that have agreed to receive emails together. This way they can safely promote to each other without running the risk of receiving spam complaints and getting your site/ISP shut down.

As I mentioned earlier, there is a downline structure to ListDotCom. You can mail up referrals up to 20 levels deep. You start out with bronze (email your downline every 15 days), move up to silver when you refer 10 people and gain 20 referrals on the second level (email downline every 10 days), and get to gold when you refer 50 people and get 50 referrals on the second level (email downline every 7 days). When you reach the platinum level, you can email your downline every 3 days.

You’re also given a one-time offer to upgrade to diamond which allows you to email 5000 people every 2 days. Many people have said that the diamond level upgrade has been worth it and that it is the only way to see good returns from your mailings. This is because building a downline big enough to get to the gold or platinum level can take a long time (so you can mail more people often). In fact, you’ll probably need to already have a decent sized list of people who are interested in Internet marketing to reach this level.

Members have seen returns from ListDotCom, the returns they are getting compared to owning their own email list are much lower. Like other safelists, many of the members develop ad blindness because of all the emails they get. Many users of the service will ignore all the promotional emails altogether and it’s harder to build a relationship with your subscribers when other marketers are competing for their attention.

A huge big benefit of joining ListDotCom is the bonuses that you’re given as a free member. You are given Mike’s Butterfly Marketing Manuscript which has been sold for $97 in the past. You also get Mike’s other courses Outsource Secrets, PreLaunch Secrets, FireSale Secrets, The ViReport, and the FlyInAdGenerator software. These courses are of incredible value and a good enough reason to join ListDotcom for free.

ListDotCom Reputation

ListDotCom has received mixed reviews from users, but it seems to be mostly positive. Users who have seen results have said that they had to send out multiple emails before they started seeing any kind of returns for their efforts. Some have gotten little to no results.

At the end of the day, I think you are better off building your own email list rather than depending on ListDotCom to do it for you. When people are signed up under ListDotCom, they will get multiple emails per day, which can really drive down the value of your subscriber.

You will have to compete with other people emailing the same people with different promotional offers. At the end of the day, it’s ListDotCom that manages, runs and owns the list, too. If anything happens to the service, then you end up losing all the leads you’ve built. You have to weigh the decisions and see if you want to take advantage of ListDotCom’s viral system or have a list you control.

ListDotCom website discontinued ?

I had purchased lifetime membership at this viral list builder. Site worked fine for a few years. Then suddenly it disappeared. The domain now redirects to Mike Filsaime's "new project". When I contacted his helpdesk, the support person replied that the site was discontinued as it was too old and not in line with Company's new vision. I call this unethical and illegal marketing. Why were lifetime memberships offered when there was no commitment for them ? Owner can always sell a site to new owners instead of scrapping the site that has a bunch of paid members... I will stay away from anything that Mike Filsaime ever launches / promotes :)

Google marks the messages as spam?

Ever since I have had this product I have noticed I have not been receiving emails from ListDOTCOM. So I started to look around and resend the emails, next thing I tried is looking in my spam folder. The emails are there! If they were to fix this horrible time wasting problem I would of given them a better rating. I would not recommend this product as their email system is screwed up and it does not work well in general.

This was worthless

I thought this program was going to be great. Ended up finding out that the sites get sent straight to the spam folder and not only does it give you a bad image but also just doesn't attract anyone to your site. So I would just say it is a waste of your time and I definitely don't recommend it to anyone. Besides why would you want your site to be sent to the spam folder of every email!

Everything goes to Spam Folder

Don't bother. Every single email they send gets delivered straight to the Gmail spam folder.

So... if your promoting your site, it will not only go to spam... it will be associated with a spammy sender.

Get it? Gmail, Hotmail and AOL all pay attention to the contents within an email. They will "remember" your site inside a spammy sender address. And one day, when the light bulb goes off and you start building a real list, they'll flag your emails because the domain was previously used by a spammy sender.

NOTE: when I say 'spammy sender', I don't mean ListDotCom are spammers. They are not. Everything is double optin. I simply mean all their email goes to the spam folder. And that's what really matters.

Essentially, this is useless. Start building a real list, people.

This is a horrible way of marketing!

There are so many things that irked me when I tried using this product. First of all, the cost of the premium membership is unbelievable! You will not be happy when you WASTE $200 on this useless product. Their website is horrendous as well – it looks like it hasn’t been touched in years! This so called “safelist” thing doesn’t seem to work also.

Want to get your money back? Sorry, that’s not going to happen. You will continue to be bombarded with spam and you will never ever be refunded with the money you were blinded with by this horrible product. I am pretty mad that I actually bought ListDotCom and thought I’d be getting something out of this. Unfortunately, Mike Filsaime was able to get my money. I rated this product with a D.

Old, Useless, and Scam Product

According to my opinion and my experience, I said this program is totally scam and outdated. If you want to sign up you must pay about $200 and you will be refunded if you are not satisfied in 60 days, but in fact that's all a lie, never believe them it's a scam. They will run with your money and will spam you with their email and the page is never updated. One more thing, NEVER TRUST THEM.

I recommend to you not to try this product. I rated this D.

Scam and Spam

This is a bad idea to trust. I mean you sign up for it, paying around $200 and they tell you that you can get a refund within 60 days. Do not believe this, it's a lie. You will not get a response whenever you ask for the refund and if you do, then it most likely tells you you've been denied the refund. They just take your money and spam your email. They tell you you will get traffic, but they don't help you at all. They just scam you with your money, and spam you with useless emails. DO NOT TRUST.

It's 1984 again

I'm so sick of landing on these crap sites that have operated the same scam for 20+ years and never even updated their webpage! I got strong negative vibes about this one right from the start. I declined the payed membership and then my username and password got displayed in the browser and they kicked me out basically... I had already submitted my email address =( and the first mail I got was a real crapper so I went to unsubscribe, clicked the link in the email and my Norton went berserk and detected viruses all over the place, website reported and I can only hope that they are shut down permanently. This is exactly why listbuilders don't work, it's just not safe at all.

OK product, Good and bad are equal!

Once again, this product was easy to use but still had it's faults, such as the so called program 'safelist' didn't seem to work that well by me.

Also, there is a major amount of spam in your inbox, which I tried to avoid on all costs but failed. Also, quite a high price for a premium member sign up! As well, I have tried to call for help within the site many times, and all of those times I have wasted my time as none of the site's managers have replied nor contacted me.

Although to be truthful, once it is all set up you could make a little bit of spare cash, probably not worth your time though, within three months I made maybe $80, not a huge profit. From what I have read from various sites though, this cash is suppose to increase with time. But the thing that put me off this product is the growing spam in your inbox.

I would suggest it, but you have to have a good amount of determination as it is VERY time consuming for the amount of money you will be receiving.

This can be used by everybody

At first, II was skeptical about this one. I thought I was going into some MLM for using this product. When I asked a couple of questions to their support, they are replying very quickly. I didn’t even buy the product and they already have a good response team. I already know Mike Filsaime at first but I am thinking that this product is fluff.

I decided to give it a try knowing that he has an “Ironclad money back guarantee”. I was shocked and excited about the endless possibilities you can have by referring others have their contact list given to you for free and the next people under you and under your contacts are giving you their list, and so on... What I am saying is the unlimited number of targeted prospects for your business.

At the first week of using this product, I already have more than 600 subscribers on my newsletter ready to buy the other affiliate products that I am promoting. This is really great.

Not my favourite

I've tried this product called ListDotCom. Sorry if one says else, but in my opinion and experience, ListDotCom was a really big scam. They first asked me to pay $200 for the membership, which os a lot of money and they only send you a few hits. I've watched the statistics daily and my hits have increased with about 5% which is too less for this amount of money. They are sometimes sending only 1-10 / day, which can be called scam. I won't talk about the spam e-mails I get from them, because I had to change my e-mail address because of them!

In conclusion, I'd suggest you never to use this product, it wastes you money, for nothing,

My grade for this product is D - Pretty lame.

200$ for nothing?

I was told to come to listdotcom so that I could have more traffic directed towards my website or blog. On the contrary, I honestly received NO traffic, and would get 100+ spam emails from the ListDotCom company DAILY.

They told me immediately I had 60 days to refund my purchase in full, but when I tried to contact them by phone, email, and physical mail, I received no response, and at one time I did get a response, but they had the nerve to refuse my refund... that's 200$ out of my working pocket..

I am very disgusted with this "program" and I don't and will not EVER recommend this to anyone I ever meet, it's a poorly made product!

Really not worth the time

List Dotcom is a huge scam. They ask for the $200 for a membership, but they send you very few clicks. Usually only 3 to 4. I also began to receive about 30 to 40 spam emails from them. I had to stop using my email and make a new one. My advice is that you never try this program, it takes your money, and there is nothing you can do about. They also have very bad technical support. I tried to contact them but nothing happened.

To expensive and not new

I personally believed that this product had a chance for me but I was sadly mistaken and had wished I had read the reviews on this product. First, it does send traffic, but there are way too many emails that come into your inbox every day. I counted one day that I got 142 emails from Listdotcom. For me that is way too many emails and I had to put them in my spam folder for temporary storage. The content that they send you is only twenty percent of the time decent information, while the other is just junk that you do not need. If you want to limit the emails then you can purchase diamond membership, but it is really expensive and I do not believe that this product is worth that much money.

Bad product

While surfing trough the web I stumbled upon a forum where a guy suggested this website. Thinking that because of this the website would do just as described. I could not be more wrong. First of all they charge 200 dollars for spamming your inbox. I received around 20 to 30 emails a day alone from this website. The service they offer is absolutely worthless, not only does it not do what they advertise but it is also very expensive. After learning their practices I had to abandon my email and created a new one because the amount of spam I was getting was getting out of proportion. I do not recommend this service to anyone.

The worst product

ListDotCom is a SCAM. I discovered the site about 1 month ago and I looked at the comments but they are both positive and negative comments. So I decided to join the site. But I made a mistake. They got from me 200 dollars for the membership. After doing that I got only 10 clicks. But wait! There`s more. My mail was filled with their stupid e-mails. I got almost 3000 e-mails from them.

So my advice to you people is to not signing-up for this worthless product. It`s total waste of money, nerves and time!

A total rip off

I stumbled upon ListDotCom a couple of months back while browsing the web. There were a series of comments in it. Both good and bad. I decided to give it a try. For the sign up fee of $200. To my opinion it's a total waste money and time. After signing up I got 2 to 3 clicks. The most disturbing thing was I that I got a series of useless spams. Everyday I got like 20 to 30 spams. They said that they would have a very good technical support. I tried to contact them. But there was no reply. Its a total SCAM. My suggestion to everyone would be don't use this product.

Worst program

I discovered this product a few months ago. That time it seemed a good idea to try it, there were more positive comments then negative ones so I decided to give it a try. After I decided to sign up they began to bore me with the membership that costs around 200 $. I tell you: it is not worth it! After I got the membership (only because I thought that I was getting a quality service WORTH 200$), I got in exchange only 5 clicks. A total failure! And worse, because I couldn't get away from their spamming, I had to get myself a new e-mail address. My experience with this product was TOTALLY NEGATIVE. In conclusion, I strongly recommend you not to try this product because it is completely SCAM.

One of the worst safelist services

I discovered ListDotCom accidentally on a discussion board about three and a half months ago. The product was receiving both positive and negative comments and I decided to see for myself whether is worth it or not. I thought that the product will be a good way to increase my traffic and maybe get some referrals, but I proved to be wrong. The only thing I got from the site was the constant spam. Hundreds of useless emails and all of that in a matter of less than a week. All the time I was getting an offer to pay for some product that cost around 200$. I have used the site for just three weeks because I've had it with those guys. I wasn't able to get a single visitor and no exposure at all. This was a really bad waste of time. I wasn't been able to find anything that can be of any use. This certainly in my opinion was one of the worst safelist programs I have stumbled upon in the last few months. No results at all. If you don't want to waste your time avoid ListDotCom.

Stay away from this product

I have been using List Dot com for 3 months now. Since then I have been receiving spam mails. Till this day I am still waiting to cross my hit ratio from 3 to 10 clicks per week and still waiting for those referrals as they promised me. I tried checking with technical support team that they claim to have, but there was no response from their side as well, I feel like I have been cheated. I have wasted my $200 because I signed up for the membership. I have already sent them a mail to refund my amount. I would suggest to stay away from this product.

I wouldn't recommend that

It’s not worth it! I signed up like 6 months ago. They just didn’t stop asking me to sign up for membership costing like $200. After all that I was able to start sending out my ads, but I didn’t get a single hit on any of them. The other thing I hate is that my e-mail is constantly flooded with spam. There is a Diamond membership and it might give some better results, but one of the reasons I did not select to buy that is because you still don't own the list, they do. I decided to quit because the only thing ListDotCom gave me was a back pain from sitting in front of the monitor. It’s not worth the risk, it’s too much money. Don’t recommend it!

Don't try- Listdotcom

After signing up as a bronze member with Listdotcom since 4 months, I have gotten more then 10 referrals and have become the silver member, but just have received 5 clicks in exchange, which is not acceptable as they have promised. I received nothing but a lot of spam mails. When I faced problems while making my list, I could not get through to the technical support as well, pretty bad service. I have tried sending many mails, but no referrals till now. I don’t have any hope now, I have almost given-up and I don’t have any hope that in near future I would be getting any clicks.

Keep an eye on your e-mail

I've followed the programs like this before and I was successful. Therefore I was interested to try this program. So, I decided to sign up to “ListDotCom”. But after a few months, I did not get benefits through this program. Even to get one or two hits it takes me a week, is making me frustrated. And their service what is called “Safelist” do not seem to work well. I do not get many hits from every e-mail that I send, but they continue to fill my inbox with spam. After 3 month waiting, I just gave up, I had to block e-mail them permanently. Do not ever try this one because you will regret it.

The product has good and bad things

I signed up for listdotcom two months ago. The product has good and bad things.

The bad are a lot of spam in your mail box, high price for the Premium account, hard to get working since the configuration is confusing and the technical support in very inaccessible. I tried call for help for 3 times without success in any of them.

Once it is working you can make some money with it, but far way from what is promised. In two months I made less than 40 dollars. I think it is possible to get better with time, but the problem is the spam growing in your mail box.

Spam is the main reason why I stopped using it. Maybe you make some money, but I assure you will get a lot of pain in the process.

ListDotCom - lame

I signed up to List Dot Com and I was expecting to get my ads seen by many people. I never got even a single hit from the few e-mails I sent out. The members here have really developed ad blindness, at least towards the ones I was sending.

Once I accumulated around 500 credits, I started sending promotions. But I was not able to get a single referral and all my credits wasted. They offer so many benefits. But the outcome was so minimum, the result that they offer didn't have any realization. Sorry, I can not recommend it at the price.

Wouldn't recommend it

I was optimistic when I joined, but I never had any intention of upgrading to diamond. The only thing I got out of this was a flood of emails in my inbox that I had to delete. I got very few click throughs, and didn't make any sales, so I was very disappointed. It just didn't prove to be worth my time, so I quit using it. I don't think I could ever come up with an ad good enough to generate a single sale from this.

Lots of Spam but no Sales

I signed up for this almost a year ago. I should have seen from the beginning that this was not going to be good after the site continued to try to get me to sign up for their membership costing nearly $200. Finally after jumping through a lot of hoops I was able to start sending out my ads, but I have yet to get a single hit on any of them.

On top of that, my inbox is constantly flooded with spam now. I finally had to quit because I was getting nothing but headaches from ListDotCom.

Maybe you have to pay for the Diamond membership to get results, but one of the main reasons I did not elect to purchase that is because you still don't own the list, listdotcom does. That is just too much money for too little control to me.

Too many promises

I've used "Listdotcom" one year ago to build my subscriber list. At first I thought this was a good product. They offer so many benefits. But the outcome was so minimum, the result that they offer didn't have any realization.. I even signed up for membership "Diamond" but the result can not compare to what is promoted. I am disappointed with this product.

It Says the offer is just vaild for 30 minutes

We've come across these types of sites before which offers viral marketing by the means of e-mail, but I would say the service was not that impressive. I thought at 197$ anything would be qualitative, but to my surprise it just wasn't any good.

Coming to the positives, there were only few hits and yes there were conversions. I had got my 197$ back with 534$ added. So.. for a little extra income it's worth it, but I believe there are many more offerings in the web with best list services.

I give it a 6/10.

Poor value

I thought you might like to hear from a Diamond member (yes, paid the big $'s).

As has been stated by most comments above, the click through rate is hopeless as there are just so many emails landing in members boxes... Yes I take some of the blame for my email headline not being the best sometimes... but still overall hopeless.

The advantage of being a Diamond member is you can chose to not receive all those emails, even though you can send them out every few days.

Sorry, I can not recommend it at the price.

Every days a good day ...Lets make today even better

Way Too Many Emails!

I signed up for this in Nov of 08, thinking that it would help build my list. All it has done is stuff my inbox with tons of mail. Right now I have over 4000 from them. I try to delete them every day, but most days I don't check. Wow, they build up fast! I have actually come across a couple of handy tools & ebooks from opening a few of them, so I don't delete them till I browse over the ones that sound promising.

I was offered a couple of packages when I signed up, but I didn't ever buy anything. There is always two offers in every email offering free stuff, but of course they want you to sign up before they give it to you. That's why I have so many emails I can't keep track of!

Good Products, but you can also get them free

List Dot Com started off sounding like a good idea, but with so much free information online, it is a bad idea to try and sell products you can surf and find, to download at no cost. I tried for a few months, but gave up with not one prospect. One dollar may seem to be the logical thing to get noticed, when other sites offer the same or similar products free to download.

Not worth your time

I joined ListDotCom about one year ago because Mike Filsaime's name was associated with it. In the beginning I thought that it would be pretty easy to get referrals because they promised that I'll be able to send my message 20 levels deep. I used to relentlessly click on the links in the messages I got (I used to get scores of them per day) to earn credits fast.

Once I accumulated around 500 credits, I started sending promotions. But I was not able to get a single referral and all my credits wasted . I had to abandon that e-mail due to the amount of spam I was getting.

Overall I don't think they are worth your time and efforts.

Not Much Help To Me

I signed up to List Dot Com and I was expecting to get my ads seen by many people. Instead, I received a ton of spam and went through several pages of them trying to entice me to buy a 197$ package from them. They were quite pushy about that offer. I did not get any hits or interest from anyone by using this site. It really was a complete waste of my time. I tried other safelists that were much better and I got much better results from using their safelists. I experienced some of the same log in problems that the other reviewer spoke about. I would really not recommend List Dot Com to anyone who needs a good safelist site.

Does ListDotCom produce results? I'm still waiting

I joined listdotcom.com about a year ago, when I was blitzing on joining safelists. This one fell to the wayside, because I never got even a single hit from the few e-mails I sent out. The members here have really developed ad blindness, at least towards the ones I was sending. I used this service for about two months. Then, after not being able to interest a single person in what I had to offer, I stopped using them.

Bottom line, if you are going to use a safelist, use a credit based one. At least you will get the clicks.

Marketers, Are You Ready For The Truth?

Too much trouble

I joined this site and after joining the first thing I was asked to do was spend $197 for a membership. If I didn't take advantage of this offer, I would be required to pay $79.95 per month for a diamond membership in order to be able to email members more than twice a month.

I was then taken to another page telling me what a mistake I was making by not taking advantage of the $197 offer. The next page proceeds to tell me that I am certifiably insane because I have chosen not to take the offer.

Finally, I am able to complete my signup for free and I proceed to the login page. I can't login! I checked my email for a confirmation letter which I never received. I only received an email welcoming to the site, which I STILL cannot log in to because it keeps taking me back to the join page!

Now, they have my email address and can send me tons of emails that I don't want, and I still can't get in to the site.

Too much sugar for a dime if you ask me.
