Don't even try

I was originally one of the first buyers of the software.

In one word, it never delivers the product.

Every email the owner sends regarding it's "updates" is only a means to grab more money, by upselling you for reseller license, hosting fees, master reseller license and private reseller license.

I have never got my social site successfully installed. Please stay away from this product if you want to have a healthy wallet.

Who is responsible?

I purchased this software and hosting at the end of 2010 giving myself three weeks to create my site or a December launch. I submitted a ticket and waited almost a week for an answer. I only received a response after asking for a refund. I was told that I should speak to the person who sold it to me and not the technical guy. (it clearly stated "for a refund submit a ticket" at the help desk).

The software looked pretty clear cut. I had a simple request as my site was not specific to musicians... I wanted to know how how to remove or change that portion of the website. No answer. I am now working with my credit card company to get a refund. I sent 5 requests to 4 different email addresses and now the only reply I get is, I am not responsible.

Social Site Generator

I have SSG V2.1 It has never run the way it should have run. Yes it can be changed IF you know your way computer programming a little.

However in it's current for it just does not work and there are many bugs in it. They have been promising now for over a month to release Version 2.2 but like most of Carlos Promises they are very empty.

I decided to Join here as I read with great interest how some one said the script works well.

If it works so well can you please give me your URL so I can have a look at it.

One of the problems with it is the forum I had that many problems with it I finished up Deleting it and adding to it a forum from phpBB it works well. You are welcome to view the site I'm working on now if you wish. This is just a test site and by no means finished. At www. ul.com as I said it is just a test site.

When grading this software I gave it a Just OK. If the Bugs were to be fixed I would have said it was excellent. But for now NO.

In summery would I buy it if I could go back in time: NO NO NO.

Not a Cool Software To use

When I thought to make some money through social sites, I was in search of some quick and easy tool to build a social site. I came across this software while I was searching for tools in search engines. I bought this software and after buying I came to know this is not a value for money package.

Script doesn’t work properly, features are not advanced and also not an easy and quick tool to be used. My first social site was a complete waste. Although this software provided some features but other software compared to this one are far more better as per the price of this software.

Many of my site members started complaining that most of the sections wont work properly. The worst part I faced with this software is the customer support. The Customer Support never replied back to my queries. Worst Customer support ever. I don’t recommend this software because of my worst experience.

Half Baked Social Site

I actually stumbled across Social site generator whilst I was looking for some information on business relations. I got interested and thought running my own social site is a brilliant idea. I first downloaded the demo and the installation was ok, although there are not much functions available because every time I press a command it kept saying "available on purchase" so really I found the demo completely useless.

After I bought the software I was far from impressed. The scripts were a major pain to add to my site as they kept giving me errors and broken links. I only managed to sign up 12 people but they all complained that most of the functions were not working like responding to comments and adding threads. I contacted support but they never responded. Most of the navigation tools were not performing well and eventually I got bored of the mishaps and requested my money back. I received my refund promptly so that's probably the only good thing about this program.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this as it's difficult to use because of the many technical difficulties this software has.

Not Enough Customizable Options!

I purchased Social Site Generator Version 2 around a month ago, when one of my webmaster friends told me of the success he was experiencing with his Social Site he had made through this site. After a few days of pondering I decided to purchase the product. In my experience I found the product to be well designed and easy to navigate around, within four hours of my initial purchase of the product I had placed one of the scripts I had created on one of my domains. I found the site I had created with the product to be almost flawless, the only thing that I can see to be a negative with the product is the lack of customizable options with the scripts. Now, a month after the release of the site I have created I have around 1K unique visitors daily, which is great for a new website. I currently have made no money from my site as I haven't added advertisements to my site yet but I believe that I will be able to make a stable income from this website. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in making a stable social networking site.

Excellent Software but lacks some functionality

I bought this software for 50$ in a pre launch offer. At first I was greatly impressed by the things that this software can do however it is not that good as it claims in my opinion.

Good:

Extremely easy to install software and very intuitive interface.

The software takes less than 10 minutes to get installed and has great functionality.

One interesting aspect of this software is it's Control panel and the user interface. The control panel is self explanatory and very fluid. The best thing is you have complete control over your Website like accepting new members, Monitoring their progress , Sending mass emails, Receiving a mass emails and even you can add your own Affiliate Widgets from Amazon or EBay.

Another cool thing about this tool is that you can change the theme as per your preferences and taste. There are plenty of downloadable tools which are available for free.

The software is fully automated and uses the latest software integrations and fully compatible with . NET and Web 2.0.

Bad:

Major disadvantage with this software is that it’s extremely unstable. For example recently around 27 users joined my site and when they try to perform any action at the same time it just simply crashes. This is hugely disappointing for me. I tried to contact support and I am highly unsatisfied with their response too.

This software is not easy to use. It requires some technical knowledge and some learning curve.

My Results: I created a networking site using these methods. Although I was able to get around 36 people to join my site. This is a slow and gradual process. But in the end I am happy with my purchase. B+ from me.
