Ad Toll Description

Adtoll is a full-service advertising program founded in 2007 by twin brothers Dan and Paul Rucci. The website states that the company's goal is to provide high quality, personalized, and informative online services. It can be used by both website owners (also known as publishers) to generate revenue on their sites by selling ad space and by advertisers looking for viable advertising resources. Adtoll works to bring together these publishers and advertisers in a mutually beneficial way.

Ad Toll Detailed Overview

Adtoll has a straight forward and easy-to-do sign up sheet for both advertisers and publishers. There are some restrictions on the types of websites that Adtoll will allow. Websites must contain useful content that is regularly updated, or it must perform a service. Some types of websites are not allowed, these include paid-to-click sites, paid-to-read sites, and any site containing pyramid schemes or other questionable programs.

Advertisers are able to purchase a wide variety of ads. These include full banners, leader boards, peel-away ads, and buttons. Though, many of the sites do offer a wider variety of ad styles. The prices vary according to the individual sites and detailed information is available. Each website that is registered with Adtoll has a full description and site information posting. This information includes the websites Alexa ranking, the average number of clicks per week on each type of ad available and the cost per click. Prices range (and remember, they do vary according to site) from approximately .50 per week for a button ad to over $70 per week for a full banner ad.

Publishers are able to set their own prices for the ads on their site and receive 75% commission for each sale. They retain complete control over which ads they allow on their site and can restrict entire industries if they so desire. For publishers unsure of how to price their ads, there is auto-pricing. Auto-pricing allows the publisher/site owner to keep their prices competitive. The program looks at comparable websites that have approximately the same Alexa ranking and traffic and keeps the prices within the same range. For publishers who are unable to sell all of their ad space, there are also RON (Run Of Network) ads. These allow you to monetize all of your unsold ad space on a pay per click basis.

There is an affiliate program in place to generate extra income for all members. Members receive 20% of the commissions generated by advertisers during their first 90 days, and they receive 10% of revenue generated by publishers during their first year. Payments are made on the 15th of each month for the previous month's revenue and can be received via check, Paypal, or bank wire transfer.

Ad Toll Reputation

Most people are genuinely pleased with the results of using Adtoll. Both from the publishing end and the advertising end. Some found that there was not enough clicks generated on their ads to make it worthwhile and that the cost per click calculations were not quite as inexpensive as stated on the website. But, in general people were pleased with the service. One part that received the most compliments was the Adtoll customer support; everyone stated that any concerns or questions were addressed in a very reasonable amount of time.

Ad toll is similar to adengage

Ad toll in my opinion is a very similar service to Ad Engage. They basically have a variety of different websites you can choose to place a text ad or other types of ads on for a certain length of time. You make your choice of website based on traffic history and other factors. The main problem I had with the Ad Toll is the same problem I had with Ad Engage and that is a lack of variety in the type of website you can advertise on. I would give Ad Toll about a C rating.

Hard to make any money

I decided to try AdToll about five months ago. It was very easy to start adding ads to the product. Just a few clicks of a button were needed. The choice was a bit limited but still I was able to find some nice ones which seemed interesting. The customization level was a bit low in my opinion. The ads I decided to use blended quite well with the site. I started to earn but it was really a slow process since I wasn't getting many clicks. I was having a hard time increasing the ad's visitors. The money I've earned is close to nothing. AdToll is really a professional platform, but I just can't make money out of it. In my analysis of AdToll, it was really a waste of time for me.

Good for pocket change

Being a website owner, Adtoll didn't raise my income at all. It reminded me of cheap GPT sites that kids start up to gain some extra change. Maybe, I got an extra 10 bucks a week, but really is it worth it? No. it's a good idea, and if you're really good at getting traffic that is interested in ads, it could help a bit, but I just find it too much hassle for the reward. HOWEVER, I will say that the support is amazing. I received nothing but kind and helpful tones from them, and I would love to do business with them just for that sole fact.

Not A Good Money Maker

When I came across this product some months ago, I was very skeptical about using it. It seemed like just another scam. Well, I finally decided to try it because I own a website and needed some advertisement. They have two account choices that you can choose from, but from my experience with this I got a little profit. I didn't have a lot of ads to appear on my site. Maybe it is just me , but I was unable to achieve what I wanted to. I'm not sure if I would advise this to anyone. I think some people would be better off using another service.

Same as others

Ad Toll appeared to me as the same type of advertising company as many others that I have seen before. They offer both publisher accounts and advertising accounts. The advertisers are allowed to place ads with prices per view or lead or action. While the publishers are allowed to take the ads from the advertisers and then place them on their own sites or blogs in order to make a profit.

I found this service, like many others, a small earner. The amount of profit generated from my sites were very small ( a few dollars) so there was no real reason to be paid. I ended up switching back to Google Adsense completely, in hopes that it would be easier to use and also earn me a little bit more.

Although I earned a very little with Ad Toll, I will admit that it does earn money. The earnings are pretty much based on the action of your visitors to your site. I rate this service a C+ because it allows for publishers and advertisers but doesn't really set itself apart from many of the other services of this type.

Wasn't able to earn much money

I decided to try AdToll about three months ago since I thought that it will be a good thing using their ads. I bought the product and started adding ads right away since the process was really easy. Just a few clicks of a button were needed. The peel away ads seemed like the best choice for me and I started using them. The choice was a bit limited but still I was able to find some nice ones which seemed interesting. The customization level was a bit low in my opinion. The ads I decided to use blended quite well with the site. I started to earn but it was really a slow process since I wasn't getting many clicks. I was having a hard time increasing the ads visitors. The money I've earned is close to nothing. There was also an affiliate program I decided to try in the hopes to earn something from it at least. There wasn't much success unfortunately. AdToll is really a professional platform, but I just can't make money out of it. I would recommend trying AdToll since maybe you will be able to get results, but in my point of view it was a bit of a time waste.

Ad toll-not helpful

I am a publisher whose income totally depends on ads presentation. I have been using Adtoll since 2 months now trying to find a way to create and publish Ads with Adtoll in a quick time, but it didn’t work out. Even now I am not getting good amount of clicks and it is very hard to find a quality form to present my Ads. I had really good experience with other similar kind of products. But my earnings are going below $200 a month. I run out of options pretty quickly. I have already invested more then $300 and still finding a way to get my money back. Please don’t go for it.

Just a normal ad company

I've been using this site for a short period of time. They are just a normal advertising site, you can't find anything special here. Also this site doesn't have many publishers so it's hard to find a site to place my advertising. It wastes my time a lot, but I still didn't have any success story with them. I won't recommend this site to anyone due to my bad experience, but still maybe its just me who got unlucky, another person may think this site great. Again it's just my opinion :) Cheers

Adtoll, my bad experience

After joining Adtoll for a while as publisher, I decided to quit after I reached the minimum payment and got the first check. There's not many ads that appear in my site so visitors to my site rarely click. More than that, the statistics for my website update very slow. I don't know why but after registering with them for a while, I still can't see my website banners and unique visitors per day show. For publishers, I'm not recommending this site. Try another ad company for better results.

Speaking as an advertiser, I once bought a weeks space from a website listed in their directory for 20$, but I didn't feel there was much traffic from their website. There are not that many sites to choose from, too.

My Grade: C

Good Things About The Ad Toll

Well I had a proxy website which I know gets a lot of traffic... I couldn't find any PPC program but then my friend told me about Ad Toll. And I must say it's pretty good, my website got approved in about 2 hours. I also must say that they offer many great tools that you can put on your website to earn money from. I really loved the sticky header thingy which many people find attractive and not disturbing.

My website was still fast enough when I had my ads on it, so I really recommend you to just try this program.

Hope this helps you...

I tried this but it wasn't very helpful

What I don't like about AdToll is that it is very hard to generate enough clicks with these ads to gain a profit. It has been four months and I have yet to make any type of noticeable income. The clicks are just not there. I have also decided to get my hand in the affiliate program as well to help compensate for the income that they said we could generate, but I'm finding even that amount is quite low.

Speaking as an advertiser

I bought advertising from them, and I still have credits after a year!

CPC wasn't appealing to me as it was a bit high for the niches I was in.

But I particularly liked you can lease a week or two of space from any website, with various different ad sizes.

Downside to that is there are not that many sites to choose from! A lot of the sites are simply not getting enough traffic to waste your energy on.

So although there is nothing inherently bad about their service, I would use them as secondary, tertiary service to supplement your traffic requirements.

I succeeded to cash out 50$ from AdToll

To make some extra money I signed up with Ad Toll. All I had to do was to place some of their ads on my website. My earnings depend on how many visitors they get through my website. I am working hard to promote my website and I have a lot of visitors. In only two weeks I succeeded to cash out 50$ from Ad Toll. They sent me the payment in a timely manner.

I also like how easy it is to place their ads on my website. The ads look very professional and I think they are making my website look better.

Good! but up to a point!

First of all is that I'm not a fan of only pay on a CPC basis. That infuriates me! I'm not say it's bad. But it's an impressive and eats up very little space on your site, usually on the right corner of the page. This is good and does not include bulk to the page.

It gives a few options in terms of payment, but I always stick to paypal as it's the most logical and convenient way of paying.

When talking to them over the phone they were not very helpful and sometimes it was hard to understand them, mostly foreigners who are at the help desks and have limited English, so I understand but this shouldn't be the case!

It's a good alternative to make money other than Adsense, but there are other better more rewarding programs out there.

AdToll is good... but

I signed up with AdToll about four months ago to see what kind of results I would get by using their ads on my site. First, I really like how easy it is to get the ads on my site. This wasn't complicated at all. I placed the peel-away ads on my site because they seem to be the latest thing. Their ads are attractive enough, but there are not many to choose from. I wish that there were more options given to the banner, ads, etc. But the ones they do have look good on my site.

I like AdToll, I really do, but the income is just not there as they claimed. I still run AdToll on my site hoping that it gets better. I still think you should give this a try as your site might have better luck than mine. If you do, I would try the peel-away ads. I would have to say that out of all the clicks I got and am getting are coming from those types of ads.

Does Pay... Just Not What Is Promised

I had a so-so experience with Adtoll. I worked with them as a publisher and was hoping that by selling space on my site I would be able to get a decent amount of money from advertisers. Adtoll itself solicits that the earnings you can get from them can be quite high, so I was initially excited. But, after being with them for over 6 months, I still hadn't made much in the way of earnings and certainly not what I had expected. I used the auto-pricing mode simply because I wasn't sure what to charge myself. The affiliate program didn't really do much for me, and it seemed that Adtoll wasn't going to be as lucrative as promised. I finally reached the $20 cash-out requirement, and they did pay me through Paypal, but it took much longer that I thought it would be and decided that I was better off with another company that would earn me more money. They do pay you, but the minimum is higher than most other competitor sites, and don't expect to make much money with them.

Just OK. Could Be Better

I WAS an Ad Toll publisher several months back. One of the things that I like about Ad Toll is their Peel Away ads. This is one of the newer technologies that Ad Toll was quick to adapt. It is very innovative and eats up very little space on your site (only on the top right hand corner), but at the same time achieves maximum visibility (it is the top part of your page that viewers first see when they land on your page, after all. ). They also offer a host of payment options, and I'm thankful that PayPal is one of them since most of my other online earning activities also pay through PayPal (I like to keep my funds safe in one place only). They likewise pay on time, which is another plus. I've cashed out once so I know.

Why did I switch to another program, you ask. Simply because like AdSense, it does not generate as much income for me as I would like it to, so I switched to AdBrite (a BETTER alternative, trust me). What I don't like about this program is that they only pay on a CPC basis, thus lower chances of earnings. Also, their minimum payout for PayPal is $20. I would have preferred $10 (other ad program's minimum is only $10) so I can cash out more frequently. Their support people are not as friendly and prompt to answering queries compared to other programs I've joined, which sucks, because as a newbie I tend to ask a lot of questions that are not in the FAQ.

Overall, an okay program although it could be better in a lot of ways. I'll give them time I guess, to improve on their current system. But still, if you're looking for alternatives to AdSense, it is definitely worth a try.
