AffiliatePLY is a subsidiary of PLYmedia, which is a video enhancing company. PLYmedia has its main headquarters in Palo Alto, California. AffiliatePLY ia an affiliate network that uses videos instead of banners or text links/ads. This is an additional way to monetize a website or blog, and it has been proven that videos do convert better than banners. The videos are simple to place on a website (did it myself) and they are resizeable (to a certain degree), which makes them easy to fit in an advertising column or smaller section of your website.
AffiliatePLY offers a wide variety of videos to choose from, and the benefits of having a video on your website or blog can be significant. As stated above videos convert better, people enjoy watching videos which will keep them on your website or blog longer which will in turn improve the website SEO and page ranking. Joining AffiliatePLY is a very simple process though you do have to wait to be approved. A very simple registration form needs to be fill out and then the member will choose which video they like best, click the "get video code" button, then just copy and paste the code to the website.
Each video chosen already comes with interactive content such as images, text, active content, and subtitles so it is ready to go. The videos performance can be tracked through impressins, clicks, and actions generated by visitors. The various commissions are determined by the individual advertisers and are usually paid within 20 business days from the end of the month. The minimum payout is $100 and is made via Paypal or check. Some advertisers pay on a different schedule, but all details can be found on the website.
Advertisers can get their videos added to the network just as easily. All they need to do is upload a viral, commercial, or tutorial video then add some interactive content to it. They pick the url they want the video to point to, decide how much commission they want to pay for which action (commissions are paid on the set action regardless of how many times the video is viewed) and they are done.
With AffiliatePLY there are no set-up fees, no exclusivity contracts, and the video is housed on the AffiliatePLY server. Any video length is accepted (up to 5 minutes) but most are in the 30 second to 2 minutes range, with the standard video size accepted being 300 x 250. Videos can be set on auto-play (but this may turn off some website owners) and geo-targeting is available.
This truly is a very simple program to use and does add some points of interest to any website or blog. The only major downside I came across is that most of the advertisements are for casino type programs. Eventually I found a couple that fit in with my website, but it may be difficult if you want an advertisement that fits closely in with your website niche. I could not find any payment proof online but the company appears to be reputable and time will tell. If you are looking for an additional way to monetize your website or blog then this may be one you want to try out.

Become an affiliate if you want to annoy your readers Affiliate PLY contacted me about advertising on our blog through their affiliate program. It was easy to set up and install on the blog. The eCPM was low but I thought it would increase in time. That was not the problem though. The 2nd day I had PLY installed my readers kept emailing me about "Autoplaying ads" that even though they didn't press play the ads would play over and over and over! So I contacted them and asked them to remove the autoplaying ads! Those are the worst and autoplays are a sure way of steering people away from your website. They told me they removed the autoplay ads so I reinstalled the code. It was okay for half a day then the horrible annoying sound came back! I got so many emails from my readers that I had to remove the ads. When I asked them why I was still getting the autoplay ads the answer was "Oh it's not autoplay, those are flash ads!" . Seriously? How's that different? It's still autoplaying, it's still annoying. So I asked them to pay me the $70 they owe me and to cancel my account. Their reply, and I quote: "In order to receive your payment you will need to reach the $100. I am sure you will be able to quickly reach that amount if you allow me to enable the auto play ads once again. " No thanks, $100 is not enough money to turn off my readers. So my advice to you, stay away from Affiliate PLY. Thanks |

I just joined AffiliatePLY The registration was quick and easy, nothing too complicated. My account was quickly approved, which was about a day. I searched through the large variety of videos and put one on my personal blog in which I liked. I was able to resize it a little smaller to fit the column of my blog, which I totally liked! I still haven't made payout, but I have made a little bit of cash from it. I'm worried that it might be a scam because the payout is $100. I am trying to ignore the high payout and see if they do pay. So far, it seems legit and I like it. Just like the other comment said, it also slows down my blog. It takes a little longer to load, which I don't like, but I need to be patient and reach payout.

My experiences with "AffiliatePLY" I tried AffiliatePLY for two weeks, and it has some features I liked but some other features I disliked. First of all, please let me tell you the features that I liked. It is very easy to use. What is more, it also offers a wide variety of videos to choose from. As these features, many members pour into my websites. That is why I like it. Secondly, it sill has some features that should be improved. When I upload and installed it in my websites, I found my website's speed will be a little slower than usual. That is the feature that I dislike and wish it can be improved in time. In general, I think my experiences with AffiliatePLY is fairly good. |
