AffiliateScout Description

AffiliateScout is an affiliate membership network owned and run by internet entrepreneur Sheridan Corey. This network is a central location where website owners can find merchants for whom they can sell products or services as affiliates. Merchants can find website publishers who can bring them targeted customers through several different types of promotional ads and marketing techniques.

AffiliateScout Detailed Overview

Advertising online is a lucrative way to do business, and merchants know this, which is why they’re willing to pay commissions to website and blog owners who can help them sell their products or services. The AffiliateScout network membership site is a place where website owners and internet marketers can come and browse through hundreds of categories of merchants, choosing the ones that would best fit in with their website themes. They can also choose products or services for which they would like to build websites and marketing campaigns around.

Merchants sign up with the AffiliateScout program, and if they qualify to be members, they can list as many of their affiliate programs as they like. There is a lot of diversity when it comes to affiliate programs on the site. Products and services that you can sell as an affiliate range anywhere from digital downloadable internet marketing training products to clothing to vacations. Affiliate members of this program can also rate the various affiliate programs that they’ve tried, which is a great way to help others decide if they want to try them or not.

It doesn’t cost anything to join the AffiliateScout network membership program, but merchants do pay monthly or yearly fees for sponsored links on the index page. These can cost as little as $150 per year or $25 per month, but can go up according to how many affiliate programs are listed by one merchant.

AffiliateScout Reputation

Feedback on the AffiliateScout affiliate network is mostly positive, though not overwhelmingly so. It doesn’t seem to be one of the biggest affiliate networks, but then again, what it does offer seems to be satisfactory for most of its members. The program keeps daily updated lists of the new affiliate programs that can be joined, which members appreciate, and it provides an atmosphere where merchants and affiliates can work together satisfactorily.

Database of Other Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Scout is a website that gives you reviews of many different affiliate programs. Overall I found it helpful when I was looking information on some affiliate networks I wanted to join but wasn't too sure about.

I found Affiliate Scout to be very helpful when I am looking to join new networks. It just gives you a lot of options and gives you reviews. I do find that some reviews can be biased. What I do is look up a program and once I find it I will read the reviews posted on there and do my own research. Thanks to affiliate scout I have been able to find quite a few good networks that I am a member of. It has been a very good tool for me to do research and to discover new networks.

There are better alternatives

While I do have respect for the owner and what he's accomplished, this affiliate program just doesn't meet up to my expectations after being affiliated with larger networks like Neverblue and MaxBounty.

They're selection of offers is no better than any other company, and in most cases worse, considering the lack of offers in particular niches.

Support was fairly quick at first, though, after being with them for a bit, communication seems to be lacking more.

At this point, I am not even promoting their offers anymore as better and higher paying offers can be found on more reputable networks.

Save yourself time and make more money by going with a more reputable network.

I personally liked it, although there is room for improvement!

Affiliate Scout hasn't been living up to the expectations I set before signing up. After putting up 2 new blogs, I was ready to get some good affiliate programs to them and start earning some good old commission. There was a HUGE library of different affiliate programs, ranging from fishing to education to free trails. There is a lot of affiliate programs that can meet almost every niche need. My blogs were on greenhouses and gardening and I found two affiliate program that went along with this perfectly. Support is helpful, but slow to respond. Overall this was worth my time, and with some improvements this could be something a useful for a while.

An average affiliate program with limited results

Affiliate Scout has not been completely what I wanted it to be. When I joined a few weeks back I joined in order to find some reliable affiliate programs for my blog, which was actually receiving a lot of daily traffic. Now, back to Affiliate Scout, it is not an affiliate program itself. It merely provides you a database of many different kinds of affiliate programs. For example they will distinguish casino affiliate programs and education affiliate programs. You are able to find the one that will best reach the traffic that comes to your site. However, I give Affiliate Scout a "D" because not all their categories are filled. Many times you will find a category of your choosing empty or not offering many options.

I would not suggest this site if you want a very specific affiliate program.

Good for starting out

I used this site when I was first starting off and looking for good affiliate programs to promote. This site really helped with that because of the variety of different programs gathered in one place. It’s not anything spectacular, but it really helped me when I started out. The site is updated often so it’s never really outdated. The site itself doesn’t offer anything particularly special outside of that. I would say that the most valuable part of Affiliate Scout is the user reviews. By learning how much success other people had, I was able to find things that worked and stay away from those that didn’t. For that reason, the site was worthwhile for me and will be to anyone else looking to start off in affiliate marketing.

A good tool for research

I don't promote Affiliate Scout as a way to make money in itself, however, I do use it as a decent research tool. It is not as comprehensive in it's listings as IM report card, in that there are very few published reviews. But there are a lot of links that I was not able to find elsewhere. For instance, they list over 260 affiliate networks alone. This in itself is a great resource to see which networks you may want to consider working with as a publisher. The site relies heavily on paid advertising, so ratings near the top are not necessarily a good indication of how good a program is, because many of the listings are sponsored (although they do have red "sponsored listing" symbol), I don't rely on it so much to find the best program as I do to just finding certain programs. The biggest downside to the site is that there are google ads all over the place which make it a little hard to "see the forest for all the trees". Otherwise, it serves as a good database of programs to consider joining as an affiliate or even as an advertiser. I don't see myself paying for the service, as I really have no need to join the paid directory, although I would recommend it to others as the cost for being in the directory is relatively low. (25 dollars)

For me it was a waste of time

AffiliateScout is mostly like any other Affiliate marketing program. What I didn’t like about this program is the fact that I don’t have a lot of products to choose from. This makes it difficult for me to make a lot of money. My earnings from AffiliateScout are between 50$ and 70$ a month. This is a lot less than I was hoping for, so I decided to stop being a member next month. I think for me it was a waste of time. I invested a lot of time in promoting those products. I decided to concentrate on other affiliate programs. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

I read the reviews at affiliate scout

I have some affiliate business (very narrow niches), but most of my websites and blogs are not promoting other products, (yet!)

I am not a member of Affiliate Scout, but I have used it a lot during the last couple of months.

I still consider myself as a beginner in affiliate business; therefore I am searching the net intensely in order to find the 'right' products.

I find Affiliate Scout a good place to search, and I am in particular reading the reviews written by other publishers.

I also find the information that Affiliate Scout provides very useful. It is easy to search for products and networks, and I take notice of how the merchants pay - How often, Minimum amount paid, Do they pay via PayPal etc.

I can recommend all who are on their way into the 'affiliate market' to use the free searching and information system of Affiliate Scout.

Pretty good affiliate program

AffiliateScout has mostly been a positive experience for me, while it doesn't come off as particularly remarkable, it does offer a wide range of products ranging in a lot of niches. I've personally had reasonable success using the Entertainment(most notably Games/PC Games) and Web Services(marketing hosting mostly) affiliates.

AffiliateScout allows it's users to review different affiliate programs so you can place your own experience on using a specific program. The database for reviews isn't large as of yet, however it is helpful in some cases as other users write their personal experience and success with the specific program.

My positive experience is due to me finding affiliate programs that proved helpful in promoting special niches, however not every niche is covered and other affiliate programs may prove much more useful and profitable for other niches.

Just Your Average Affiliate Marketing Program - Nothing Special

I signed up to AffiliateScout around 3 months ago when I was looking for an efficient affiliate membership program. I found AffiliateScout to be an average affiliate membership program; they offer the usual features of an affiliate membership program and barely implement any original features to their program. What I found to be the main negative of AffiliateScout is the lack of products the program has, I found this to make making substantial amounts of money extremely difficult. To give AffiliateScout their credit they do have a large range of categories of products, however often there is only a couple of products in each category, thus making it impossible to find a niche and stick to it. In my experience with the program I did make some profit from the usage of AffiliateScout, however I don't believe that the amount of money I made was sufficient enough for the amount of effort I poured into the program. This is why I don't recommend this program to anyone looking to make a substantial amount from affiliate membership programs.

So-so but the selection can be slim in some niches

Affiliate Scout is a so-so affiliate membership program. It really doesn't offer anything too unique than other programs, and I've had more success with others, but at the same time it is possible to make a profit. It is nice that they do allow affiliates to say how much success they've had with particular products and what they think as that can help you find something that will most likely work well for you. There is a pretty large range of products that you can choose to represent but I found that if you are in some niche market categories you may be limited in your choices. It didn't have many of the types of products that I was looking for, and while I did make some money off of what I did use, I eventually stopped being a member and decided to focus my time elsewhere where I could make more. If you have a niche category that they have more of an array of products in, you could have a better experience than me, but I do feel that there are better programs out there if you are an affiliate.
