Auctiva Description

Auctiva was founded by Jeff Schlicht in 1998 to give Ebay auction users a simpler and easier way to list their items. Though it started as a simple desktop application that enabled the user to list their Ebay items in about half the time - it quickly grew to a software system that not only enables the user to list their Ebay products but to also set up their own stand-alone store if that is what they desire.

Auctiva Detailed Overview

If you are an Ebay seller (or are thinking about becoming one) then Auctiva will give you all the tools you need to make that task easier to accomplish. You will have access to over a thousand templates so that you can make your Ebay listing unique and stand out from the crowd. Each member also gets to use the scrolling gallery which showcases all of the products that you have listed (so that buyers can see and purchase your other products). With the one-page lister you will be able to create and save all of your listing profiles - this is great if you list a lot of similar products or decide to list the same product at a later date. You will be able to schedule your listings to be published at a later time and even automatically relist the products that don't sell.

There are four levels of membership in Auctiva - Free, Basic, Unlimited, and Premium. Free membership means that there is no listing service but you will have access to the scrolling gallery and be able to place up to 1MB of images. The Basic membership is $2.95 per month and you will be able to do up to 15 listings per month, use the Auctiva Suite and scrolling gallery, and you will be able place up to 500 MB of images. Unlimited membership is availble for $9.95 per month and means you can have unlimited listings and up to 1 GB of images. The Premium membership costs $19.95 per month and gives you all the benefits of the Unlimited membership as well as enabling you to open your own Auctiva Commerce Store. You will have your own domain name and be able to run your own online store with or without integrating the use of Ebay.

Auctiva Reputation

If you are going to sell your stuff on Ebay then you definitely want to use Auctiva. Why? Because Auctiva will make you listings stand out in the crowd - not only will you get the scrolling gallery to help you pre-sell all of your other products but you can place as many pictures as necessary to show off what you have up for bid. No more paying for each additional picture. And, if you would like to have an online store but really don't feel like messing around with Ebay then you will have all the features you need right there at your fingertips.

Waste Tons of My Time to Clean Up the Unwanted Ads Created by Auctiva

Auctiva added their scroll gallery and counter to all my active listings (more than 300 of them) without my consent. Now I have to manually get into each listing to clean up the HTML added by Auctiva. What a waste of time! I wish I didn't try out their service, now I have to spend hours to restore my listings to their original looks.

Auctiva's not so hot

I've been selling on eBay, off an on, for a number of years, but I'm not a commercial user of eBay-- just an amateur occasional seller. For me, Auctiva is very awkward to use and it's customer support is worthless. Whatever else it may do, Auctiva does not make it easier to list on eBay. It's probably useful for high-volume commercial sellers who know the intricacies of eBay's rules; but my experience with it has been completely negative.

Auctiva really helped with my Ebay auctions

My husband and I were running lots of Ebay auctions a few years ago and we really got a lot out of our Auctiva account at the time. They offered lots of features that made selling easier. Since then, Ebay has incorporated some aspects into their selling system that make the auction experience more seller friendly. We liked their traffic counters so we could see how much viewing interest our auctions were getting. It also helped with the whole sniping part of the bidding process. We appreciated the filters and reports so we could get a better picture of our business.

Auctiva is Cool

I chose to use Auctiva when I first began selling on eBay, and I still use this service. Auctiva has a wealth of templates to build your listings and make them nice and themed towards what you are selling. They also organize listings, inventory, store your item pictures, and you can even use it to set up your own store.

I like Auctiva because it has three different payment options. Since I don't list that many items on eBay, I chose the 2.95 deal. I can list up to fifteen items a month and still make use of all the other features. Auctiva is great for creating beautiful professional listings with ease. I would definitely recommend this site to those needing an auction listing service.

For Ebay Listing

I use Auctiva for my eBay listings. There are several aspects of it that work for me. Scheduled listings, multiple free photos, and a place to store my listings where I can easily relist. The choice of templates is very good as well.

It takes a little bit of time to learn all the different aspects of Auctiva, but in the long run it saves a lot of time.

I was willing to stay with Auctiva, even after they started charging a monthly fee.

Great For Auctions!

I've been using Auctiva on and off for a few months and have to say it is the best auction-enhancing site out there. The layouts are beautiful, the extra things are really cool (they have one that shows people what other items you have up for sale at that time) and overall it's just a really great site. I also like how when you make up an auction with Auctiva, you can put multiple pictures and you won't be charged extra like you normally would, so it even saves you money for listing prices! In conclusion, Auctiva is a fantastic way to make your auctions look better and I feel it has helped me earn much more from eBay. A++!

Very Good if you sell a lot on ebay

I tried and used Auctiva a few years ago when there was no monthly membership fees. I really liked it. It made listing very simple by allowing me to use the same template for a listing over and over again. That way I did not have to rewrite everything in each listing, only the item information would change so that saved a lot of time. It also made listing on eBay cheaper. I no longer had to use eBay's picture hosting service for additional pictures (which was like $. 15 each after one picture). I could schedule my listings to start at certain times, that way I did not have to sit there a list everyone as I was typing them. If I wanted I could get my listings ready at Noon and then schedule them to start at 9:00pm (or even a few days later). I would not even have to be on the internet and they would be listed. Plus eBay charges $. 10 to schedule a listing. There are other additional features that were free with Auctiva but eBay charges for. Listing with Auctiva was cheaper, saved time and gave my listings a more business or professional look.

Once Auctiva started charging a monthly fee I stopped using there service. I just do not sell enough consistently to make it worth the money. I still like it and recommend there service but only if you are selling a lot of items on eBay. Honestly if you are only selling 5-15 things a month, it is probably not even worth it. If you wanted to test the service at $2.95 to list 15 items in one month, that is a great trial price. But if you are selling (and I mean selling, not listing) 20-25 or more items a month, it would definitely be a service to use. $9.95 for unlimited listings each month is very good if you are listing a selling a number of items. And if you are doing really well, use the Premium service so you can have an Auctiva store and get that much more exposure.

So Auctiva is a Great service for someone that does a fair amount of listing and selling on eBay. I would say use Auctiva if you actually "sell" 25 or more items in a month. If you only list occasionally on eBay and sell 5-10, Auctiva is probably not worth the money.

Worth it!

My mom started her ebay business a while ago and when she first started she wasn't making much money initially. After a few sales she decided to invest the money into Auctiva and almost instantly she started to enhance her efforts into more effective areas of her business. She is now making much more money because auctiva has saved her so much time and effort that she now spends less time on her business and makes more money.

This is a well recommended product from a true user and you will not regret it. Also it's cheap price is amazingly competitive to other similar products.

Very good service for online selling

I was formerly an Ebay seller, and I opened a store for sports cards and memorabilia. Initially, the sales were slow, and I had a limited budget for purchasing more inventory. Also, I was 'learning on the run' and made some mistakes in my setup and execution of the store. I discovered Auctiva along the way, and it was a big help. At the time the basic package was free, I believe now there is a $ 2.95 monthly charge. The scrolling gallery gave a boost to my traffic and sales, and gave my site a professional look that it was lacking. They were also very helpful to me, sending several emails, alerting me of the different features and benefits of using Auctiva. Since that time (about 3 years ago), I'm sure they have upgraded the services' capabilities, making it even better. I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about or currently involved in online selling.
