Commission Junction Description

Commission Junction has been a central business figure in affiliate marketing since 1998. It brings product creators and owners together with affiliate marketers, with the goal of benefitting both sides. A broad-spectrum affiliate marketing center, Commission Junction provides more than just a place for product owners and affiliates to meet. It has programs in place to help both sides through educational materials, advertising resources and excellent client support.

Commission Junction Detailed Overview

One of the things that sets Commission Junction apart from other affiliate marketing based programs is the variety of opportunities that it provides. While some affiliate programs offer only digital products that can be instantly downloaded, Commission Junction lists digital products as well as physical products from many different companies. Almost any niche market that you can think of is covered by one or more products listed at CJ, which makes it one of the most popular affiliate membership sites on the Internet.

For product owners, commonly referred to in the program as advertisers, Commission Junction provides a place to offer their products for affiliate sales. As long as the product or products presented for consideration meet basic requirements and guidelines, CJ sets them up as available for affiliates to market. Beyond this, Commission Junction helps advertisers set up their sales programs so that they can attract as many affiliates as possible, increasing their chances for more sales. Through the CJ program, advertisers are able to communicate directly with their affiliates and offer helpful advice.

For affiliates, commonly referred to in the program as publishers, Commission Junction offers a variety of products for marketing. Whether someone is concentrating on one particular market or several niche markets, they can most likely find a diverse selection of products to feature on their websites and blogs.

Affiliates who are used to the usually high commission rates associated with marketing digital products have often complained of the relatively low commissions offered by most advertisers at Commission Junction. This needs to be looked at objectively, however. Digital products have very low overhead. All an e-book author need do is write it, make it downloadable, and that’s it. The same is true for software publishers. Except for occasional updates, the products only need to be manufactured once, so owners can afford to pay high commissions. With many of the products featured at Commission Junction, however, there are continuous manufacturing expenses, so commissions cannot be as high. This being said, the variety of popular products available can more than make up for this.

Commission Junction Reputation

Commission Junction has built a solid and respectable reputation for the 10-plus years that it has been in business. No doubt Commission Junction will continue to provide the best profit opportunities and beneficial resources to those who are serious about Internet marketing.

Commission Junction a place to make good money for Affiliates

Commission Junction(CJ) another very big name in Affiliate marketing business as well for the Advertisers. This is a place where your find more than 500 companies advertise their business for sale/promotion. The number of companies associates with CJ itself indicates the popularity and rank of the website and business they hold.

This not only benefits the Advertiser, as well provides an excellent platform for the Affiliates with huge verity of online businesses and products to sell for huge commissions. I definitely recommend to go with Commission Junction for the quality of work they provide and excellent service in terms of payments as well.

Advertisers

It is one of my favorite sites to go to and it is really awesome. You meet a lot of people that are advertisers too. Also working together as a team is one of the best things I like about Commission Junction. It also brings other people together instead of just advertisers and publishers and the agencies work together.

Traffic = more earnings

I started using commission junction just about two months ago. I have been promoting their offers through my website but the truth is I've not been able to make a sale, plus there is a very low traffic coming in to my website recently. Commissions junction is no doubt one of the best and a veteran in the business. The amount that can be earned depends solely on how you promote the offers.

As a Publisher: Lots of quality advertisers to choose from

I was promoting affiliate links from Commission Junction for 2 months now and I just received my first $100, they generally pay you on the 20th of the month if your balance is over $50.

I earned $89 from 2 webinar tickets, and 11 leads to a logo design website.

What I like in Commission Junction the most is amount of advertisers to promote their services or products,.

And I decided the best strategy for me yet, is to find couple of deals from time to time to focus my marketing on :)

Look far with CJ

Commission junction (cj.com one year ago) is a best directory to get any kind of product to sell.

If you are a member of this website I advise you to focus more on getting a lot of visits through your affiliate link or banner.

Making sales is very difficult and sometimes requires a website with good traffic. The truth is Commission junction doesn't pay only per sale, you can get your money via CPA, CTR & impressions. And, remember that attracting people to visit & register via an affiliate link is easier than convincing them to buy via the same link.

Ask yourself how many times you bought something through an affiliate link?

Good Luck.

There is no quick way to make money online.

It's a day to day job with a little investment.

Mieh, nothing special

As I've said in the past, I'm pretty intermediate at marketing online, and marketing in general. I starting using CJ and I find it to be quite reliable, and have generated a decent income through them each month ($20-$40). They usually pay between the mid-and-end of the month, perfect for bills! And the A. P. I they have available is great to see results in real time. I just have an issue with the navigation of the site, not set-up for someone who is new to a lot of the terminology being used. I've noticed a few improvements here and there, but nothing drastic. I would say give it a try, but it is definitely not for everyone, and does have a bit of a learning curve.

Commission Junction Clickbank alternative

Commission Junction is another site that specializes in Affiliate Marketing Clickbank like, this site will not only find traditional and digital products, clickbank products also can find companies like Skype which makes it very appealing to members.

Commission Junction is without a doubt one of the best platforms in addition to affiliate program. Commissions are paid by paypal too which is very attractive in contrast to the check.

Experienced network

Commission junction is one of the oldest affiliate networks in the industry, they use to be very credible but nowadays I hear they are becoming questionable. I saw some claims from affiliates that they shaved their clicks, I actually reduced using the network because of the idea which I think is lame of still requesting offers within their network when you are supposed to have access to all the offers after joining the network. I joined the network to market some offers which I ended up being turned down. I would say their network has been proven over the years and so is reasonably reliable. Try them if affiliate marketing is for you. Adios.

Best affiliate tools in the industry

We have used a few different networks for our affiliate offers and so far Commission Junction has been the best. The quality of the offers is very good which is something we haven't been able to match with the other networks we worked with. Excellent real time reporting which is also very easy to integrate. Overall very happy!

Turned from Good to bad

I started working with CJ 2 years ago which was good at starting for me as a newbie. But, now it turns to be bad one. It ripped my 45$ of commissions I earned through their offers. Although it is not a great amount for them, it is big amount for me.

It increased their minimum payout to 100$ which is very high compared to other affiliate networks.

not so recommended!

Commission Junction is a scam

We had about $30 in commissions stolen from us by Commission Junction. Not a lot of money, sure, but if they do that to thousands of people, it adds up! What happened was that unknown to us, they marked our account as “dormant”, saying that we had not had a sale in 6 months. Maybe that is true, but they never notified us that our account had gone “dormant”, and without any notification whatsoever, starting deducting $10 per month for some type of fee until all of the money was gone, then deactivated our account, again without any notification to us. In the meantime, we continued to promote their links, and made at least 2 commission-able sales, which we were not credited for. Probably CJ got the commissions from the client and just kept them for themselves, since the sales were made through an affiliate link.

Bottom line is, do not trust Commission Junction – it is little more than a scam and a huge waste of your time and effort.

It worked but not the best

Since I have joined this site, what I have to say is that it worked and pays very well, but you have to put a bit of hard work.

According to my experience with commission junction, if you are the hardworking type, you will love Commission Junction, if you own a niche website that is very good and that works with their CPA offers. I am actually using that system with Commission Junction and it works brilliantly.

The big truth about Commission Junction is that it works for the hard working and serious type but not for anybody that just wants to make some cash online, Anyhow because Commission Junction monitors all their accounts tightly and would not tolerate any act of inactivity.

Worked a few years back but no luck now

It was said recently that over 300% of affiliates are ripped off. This floored me. We are a bunch of hard working people and deserve to be rewarded for what we do.

CJ now is making the minimum payout of $100 when other affiliate companies are making a smaller minimum payout.

CJ keeps messing with my commissions and I am leaving CJ.

I have recent Experience with it

Commission Junction is not Scamming but I don't know why my balance came back from $96 to $30. Earlier (recently) it was showing those commissions in Pending Status and finally my earnings was about $30 only. Why did it happen? But I am still working for it where I can earn money day to day. And better if CJ provides Paypal Payment option to withdraw the money.

It requires a lot of hard work

I am a member of this site, and I must say it does pay very well, but that depends on how hard you work. Affiliate Marketing requires a lot of hard work and time. You have to be dedicated and willing to drive a lot of traffic to the site you are promoting. I like it, but if I'm not working hard my earnings are not what I would like them to be. It's also up to the people on what you earn. Some Affiliate sites are pay per click and some are solely off of commission. Commission is much harder because it is up to the potential customer if you make money or not.

Cj .com (commission junction) con artists and rip off specialists

I joined cj years ago and only got a commission on my own purchases… I spent a lot of time promoting my site.. it was a directory and I had acquired over 500 affiliates that approved my site through cj.com…

DirectTV ripped me off and refused to pay me a commission on my own purchase…

I called cj right away when the commission did not show up in the back office. Also, the link I put up was one DirectTV emailed me as some affiliates did on promotions to save you the time of having to log into your cj account and retrieve the link yourself as was the way I usually did…

It took a month before cj had got back to me and said they had contacted DirectTV on my behalf and tried to get DirectTV to pay me the commission due but said DirectTV said it was my responsibility to make sure my links track and that the code is right… the code was right, it did not track, and when I followed up to have cj look into as to why it did not track, they had no answer…

Also, my neighbor went to my site and clicked an affiliate link on my site to Sears and ordered a $200 vacuum cleaner… the commission never show up on that either. I had a family member go to the site and order something, and again no commission showed up or was paid…

I also had my account deactivated by them a couple times … they claim due to inactivity…

When I had been promoting the site, I had over 3500 visits in one month… many return visits to certain advertisers and yet not a single commission…

I then went to check my account info and I was blocked out… I had to call cj and the guy on the other end was typing frantically and then said ” I reset it, you should now be able to log in…” when I did all my tax info and name and address had been re-set and blanked out too…

By the way, they can’t send you a check without that info… which was there initially, then disappeared… it was as if someone, say an insider employee with access to your back office was monitoring it and since they log everyone of your log-ins… they would know if you had logged into your account to check your commissions or not and if not, if they were dishonest, could delete them or divert them…

Also, commissions used to post in real time… or at least within an hour... they had changed that to always being posted every 24 hours via a 24 hour delay before they would post commissions… that is, if you made a purchase say yourself and logged in to check it, it would not be posted till 24 hours later…

Now say you did not check your commissions for say 48 hours or two days… if they are checking every day, and know you are not, what is to stop them from deleting those commissions from your back office if they are con artists and know that you had not logged in since last time and thus would not know of the new commissions owed you that came in since them unless say one of them was a purchase you made yourself… and thus would be looking for it to show up next time you logged in?

And what would be their motive to screw you? because the client pays them all the commissions and they in turn pay you…

The only way you would know if you had a commission coming or not would be if you actively logged in on a daily basis to check your back office as their was no email notification to otherwise inform you…

I believe they are dishonest and cannot be trusted… the proof is in the pudding… look at all the complaints from others filed …

Just google “commission junction scam”

CJ is the real deal

I started doing this affiliate marketing stuff about 8 months ago a bit more 'seriously' than I have in the past. Commission Junction is the most reliable network I have worked with, so far. I make a few thousand dollars a month through them, and have never had any problems. I have been paid as early as the 17th of the month, and as late as the 28th of the month. Their actual reporting does run a couple hours behind, but if you look around in their help sections you can find an A. P. I. for your site that posts reports in real time (This may be useful for those of you who do the G. P. T. thing). I have never used it because my campaigns are 'set and forget'. Anyways I run about 5-6 campaigns at a time for 2-3 weeks out of the month, and average about $3,000 a month from them, and have been doing it fairly reliably for the last 4-5 months. I bounce between a 4 and 5 bar rating as a publisher, also. I would post screen shot proofs of my payments and ratings, but that is not allowed in here. Happy earnings!

CJ good for affiliate commissions

Earning money online from Commission Junction's affiliate program has been a great experience for me. I am being paid for my affiliate commissions running 2 levels deep. My application as a publisher at CJ got approved almost instantly. As a publisher, Commission junction has been paying me commissions for various actions that the visitors do on my website like buying a product, pay per click or even for generating leads like filling out a form etc. Although CJ monitors all the activities very closely, it has been a great place for me to make quick money from affiliate commissions. The minimum payout is $50 for direct deposit and $100 for checks. At times some of the offers need approval from the advertisers which can be a very painful process. But, overall it is a reasonably good website to earn some affiliate commissions.

CJ is Not Bad/Not Great

I have been a member of Commission Junction for over 2 years now. I think I made $50 the first year (I might be stretching that a bit - probably more like $40) :) I think I did so poorly because the site was difficult to navigate, especially for a newbie. Things have improved somewhat but not a ton. I am a little more clear on the interface now but I still find this site pretty difficult to convert.

I hear some people have amazing success with it. I guess like most of these sites - it works well for some and not so well for others.

Alright Company To Join

I joined CJ along time ago when I was a noob because they auto approve account. They really don't have that many good offers to promote in my opinion. And I also heard they shave alot. One one offer I had about 200 clicks and only 4 bucks. I guess some people have success with them but I didn't at all.

Not The Best in my Experience

I applied for CJ because of what I have read on a blog about their great network. I have decided to promote a hosting affiliate product because of it's high payout and it also is a good product for my blog's current traffic niche. At the first week, I was very happy to see a notification about my promotions. I got 2 signups with $90 each!

Then I waited for my commission checks to arrive and then I go on with my other promotions. To my surprise, I got an email saying that my account is terminated because of violations. What!? I then contacted the support and then replied 2 days after I emailed them and saying that I am "forcing clicks". I don't even know what it is! All of my commissions vanished and not a single message until then.

A very bad experience with them. They didn't even explain clearly why the heck they terminated my earnings.

Very Strick Affiliate Network with No Support

Commission Junction is probably one of the strictest networks I have seen. Any sort of sketchy traffic or promotion and you will not be paid. I have had some success promoting certain offers via social networks but CJ does not allow this. It seems that their advertisers are even stricter. In order to run traffic to offers you need to be approved by the advertiser. I pretty much get denied for any advertiser I apply for. I simply don’t understand. Their support is terrible also, no one is in touch with you. I submitted a ticket once and it took like 3 days for someone to get back to me, and they didn’t even answer my question!

The only thing I was having success with them was running traffic to eBay, through an offer that CJ carried. However, eBay manages it's own network now to send them traffic so it was discontinued. I was not able to reach the minimum payout, and some commissions didn’t even credit. Not to mention that it took days sometimes for certain leads/sales to credit. I pretty much do not use Commission Junction. I cannot find success with them, and they are just too strict for me. There are much better options out there in my opinion.

Strict.. Great For Me

I absolutely love CJ and how strict they are, yes that is right I love how strict and uptight they are. CJ does not allow any type of Black Hat or even social networking site traffic and this is great for me. None of my methods involve any of the traffic that they do not allow so that just brings down the competition. If CJ allowed social networking traffic I would have 50% more competition and I wouldn’t make many sales. Since they don’t allow social networking traffic I convert 19% of the traffic my CJ offers received and so I hope they stay strict forever!

Never had much luck

I have to be honest I have used them on one of my sites for five years now and I get about 9000 users a month and I have had three leads convert in five years. It was a real estate site and I was running all mortgage ads and a few insurance ads. You would think in five years with 9k a month you would see more conversions than that. I also ran Adsense on the site and it does very well which leads me to think they either do not pay on all their leads or their programs just suck.

I am not sure if they scrape their leads and if they do they must do it at a very high rate. I would give them a D at best. There are a lot of other better offers if you are the publisher.

Maybe they were just protecting their company

I do not promote any offers form CJ as they are way too strict for me. All of the methods I currently use are mostly White Hat with some grey hat, but I wouldn’t even try any of these methods with any CJ offers. I joined CJ back in 2008 and I stared promoting their cell phone submits, 3 days later I was told that my YouTube traffic was scammy and that it would not be allowed. Most CPA networks allow YouTube traffic so the fact that CJ doesn’t makes them very strict. I just honestly feel like they are way too picky about their traffic, but than again they are just protecting their network so it could be a good thing.

Commission Junction is not for everyone

I joined Commission Junction almost a year ago when I began working on my website. It is extremely tough to navigate the site. They have a huge array of advertisers which I thought was impressive. I only wish that my website had more traffic so I could take full advantage of all Commission Junction has to offer. It is very time consuming, at least for me, and I have yet to earn any money with it. If you have a good website then this would be the way to go, but if you are just starting out then stick with Google Adsense or something easier to manage.

Very Hard To Convert

CJ was the first affiliate network I ever applied to and joined, but I never actually made any money on it. The offers on CJ are unique but they are very hard to convert because they are all legit offers that are advertised by everybody. CJ has the type of offers that are on TV commercials and on bulletin boards, I gave their offers an honest try for a month, but I did not convert any of them. I tried their Amor.com and Tele communications offers as well as many other ones, but no matter what I did I made no sales. I sent them all type of traffic, even some that wasn’t allowed because I just wanted to make a sale even if I didn’t get paid, but that didn’t help at all. Overall I don’t think that CJ is just for anybody, you have to be very dedicated and willing to put months of work into a CJ offer campaign in order to be successful with this CPA network.

The Truth Hurts

Commission Junction Rocks !

You will love Commission Junction, if you are having a niche website suitable for their CPA offers. I am using a CPA offer from Commission Junction in my website and it converts very well. The Advantage of Commission Junction is that it contains a wide variety of advertisers covering all Niches. You can easily get accepted, if you are have a website with good traffic. But if you are inactive and you didn't earn a single dollar, then your account will be suspended after some period of time. One disadvantage I see with them is they don't support paypal. I wonder why such a reputed and large company doesn't have an option to cashout through paypal. Their website is very user friendly. Don't use any incentive method to convert leads, then you will be banned. Commission Junction is a legit program to monetize your website.

A Must join CPA network

I absolutely love this CPA network. I promote more than 29 products with great success. Initially I had a issue getting accepted in the network, but once I was accepted it was really a fun. The one thing that you will notice is that the affiliate managers are the most helpful I had ever seen. They try their best to help you out and even provide you some solid tips and that you can use to earn money as soon as possible. The only thing I don’t like about the network is the website interface is somewhat clingy and unclear. It is not self explanatory and it may be an issue for new members who join the site initially. But once you get used to it it becomes fun. Another important thing about this network is their tracking system. In my experience the tracking system is the most robust and the most powerful I have ever seen. It tracks each and every thing. I had a case in which some of my customers bought a product using my affiliate link after 4 months and it still tracked my link and I got paid for it. Apart from that, you will be given excellent tools and resources which you can use like (Banners, AD and HTML Codes etc) to embed them into your website and blog so that it becomes easy to promote your product. An excellent CPA network which pays on time without any delays. I highly recommend this to everyone. A must join CPA network.

I prefer clickbank, but

There can never really be any complaints about places like this, they help link us with merchants so we can sell their products or they help us sell our products. I use this site as an affiliate, not a merchant, so I pay no fees. There is no complaints. They have a large list of sites that offer me the chance of being an affiliate. I feel Click Bank is much easier to navigate with and easier to use, but they both have the same purpose and both work wonderfully. I have just made the switch from selling other people's products to selling my own product. I will be using Click Bank and Commission Junction for sure. If you are lost with internet marketing and don't know where to find products and services you can sell, then this is a good place for you to start.

Worked for me

I promoted several CJ offers on a small website of mine about a year ago and was making just enough money to keep the site going (about $100/year).

Though I don't use it anymore, since I've given up on websites to focus on my college studies, I think that if my website had gotten bigger, I would have made a profit.

I liked the variety and quality of offers that could be promoted, although each one had it's own conditions, so there was a lot more reading to do.

CJ is also very strict, but that seems to be what attracts a lot of affiliates, so I would say that is a good thing because you are able to promote offers that are good for you and your affiliates.

I recommend Commission Junction and I know that I will use it again when I have time to keep a website running.

Banned For Sending BH Traffic

Commission Junction accepted me instantly without any type of screening, which is the faster I have ever been accepted into a CPA network. I do not promote any CJ offers anymore because I was banned for sending BH traffic, craigslist traffic to be more specific. I was promoting the All Tell offer on craigslist and converting 25% of my traffic. I was using a 2 follow up responses which worked very well and got me all of the sales. CJ somehow found out that I was sending BH traffic even though I tried to hide it with a blog tool. They did not pay me but I am not mad about it because it was my fault for sending them BH traffic and thinking that I was not going to get caught.

Great CPA network

I am the member of CJ for more than 8 months now. CJ deals with physical products. Although the pay is good but you have to put an enormous amount of work in to earn a decent amount. Apart from that the website is not that self explanatory. It is not at all easy to navigate it. The good thing about CJ is the payout. They never delay your payout and you will always receive it on time. The affiliate managers of this network are very helpful and friendly. They will try to help you in any way they can. I initially faced some issues as my application was rejected since I did not have my own website. Those who are applying for it, I strongly recommend you to first try to make your own website and as soon as you make one, fill out the form and give them a call. You will get approved instantly. For newbies I recommend you to start off with Clickbank or Affiliate.com, as those sites are far better and easy to navigate. All in all a decent network to join.

My experience with cj

I am still a CJ affiliate and my experiences with them have overall been pretty good. I have always received my payouts on time and am currently pushing several of their advertisers. I have heard a lot of negative feedback on other forums, but I believe a lot of these individuals are using blackhat methods and violate CJ's TOS. If you push good traffic to their offers, you will be nicely rewarded. One thing I did not like was I was pushing an offer and gave them a lot of leads and then they cut the payout per lead. When I stopped sending them enough leads, they increased my payouts per lead to entice me to send more leads. All and all I have been happy with them, and as I said I am still with them.

Didnt Convert For Me

I joined CJ in July and promoted a few of their offers, but I did not make any money at all which was a big disappointment. Among the many offers I promoted from CJ, I remember the Jewish dating offer the most, which paid $6 per lead. I tried marketing this offer on dating sites, Youtube, Facebook, Myspace and craigslist but it did not convert for me. Maybe it was the niche or maybe I was targeting the wrong traffic, either way I had the worst experience ever with CJ and I will never promote any of their offers. They just don’t convert for me so I am not going to waste my time on something that is not going to make me any money.

Strict But Pay

CJ is known for how strict they are, but that still does not stop anyone, or me from joining. They have so many many offers that it is hard to stay away. They have a very high reputation, but they do mostly accept everyone instantly into their network.

I do not promote any CJ offers at the moment but I did a year ago and they were hard to convert for me. I only tried to promote their telecommunications offers so maybe that is why I had such a hard time. I especially remember their Lets Talk offer, which is the only offer that I converted a little, I made over $300 with that offer but then I gave up because there was a lot of competition. I promoted it on phone forums but people just thought it was a scam, so that is what made it hard for me.

Overall CJ always paid me on time and if you send them the right traffic and don't do any BH, they will always pay you.

Commission Junction did not work too well for me

I had to sign up to Commission Junction through another affiliate program. It was a company like Paypal and Alertpay. The name escapes me at the moment. Anyway I found the Commission Junction website hard to understand and maneuver. I found that affiliate program that I had assigned up for and clicked on the banner. Once I clicked on the banner, it said pending status. It was in pending status for 7 months and never went through. Needless to say I had negative results with this and did not bother with it anymore.

Most reliable network out there

Commission Junction is the most reputable affiliate company to date. After joining the warrior forum, I signed up for CJ to promote some CPA offers, they have a wide variety of offers, not just CPA offers but they have physical products also. They have the biggest library of products compared to any other affiliate site that I've been to. CJ was different than other CPA networks because you have to get approved for every offer from the advertisers before you can promote it. CJ being one of my main networks I use for CPA I have received over 16 checks from them and I'm earning an average of $80 bucks a day. Customer support is always available through AIM and phone, and my checks always came on time! Great network!

Good as Part of a Number of Networks

I have been a member of commission junction for a couple of months now and I have seen some earnings but not as much as I would have hoped. They do have a wide range of advertisers and a great range of different offers.

I have had some problems with leads, that have been reported to me by my list that I market to, not being accredited to me from different advertisers. However after looking into this closer it may be that certain people on my lists have high security settings that can stop the cookie from firing off the pixel when an action is completed.

Just be aware when signing with CJ that you will lose some leads and sales but generally they are pretty good at rectifying the situation if you contact the advertisers directly.

I recommend this network be used in conjunction with the other big names in the industry and you do some testing on each offer that they all share to see which one benefits your target niche the best.

Not Advisable CPA Company For Newbies

Commission Junction is the first CPA Network that I've ever joined. I don't think that newbies can make money easily using this CPA network. I am making money in other sources but until now I haven't got my first ever commission in CJ. I try to apply to cost per lead advertiser and I embed it to my to blogs. Still not converting. CJ also hates blackhat traffic. But on the good side. CJ is great for those people who are expert in SEO and Traffic Generation. One of my clients uses CJ in his online store and he tells me that he makes decent money off it. If your planning to sell real and tangible products. CJ is the best place to start.

Popular and Reliable

CJ was the first affiliate network I ever joined, they have a lot of products and their network is very large. CJ can be difficult and they are very tough on the type of traffic that you bring in, for example if you bring in any “BH” traffic, they will not pay you and will ban you. I advertise CJ at first a lot but then I found other affiliate programs that had more things I was interested in. CJ didn’t have any email summits when I was with them and I was very interested in launching an email summit campaign so I had to look elsewhere.

The international phone offers that they have have made me the most money, they are easy to convert and very easy to advertise. CJ paid me every month on time, their support is very active and I would definitely recommend them if you are just starting out.

Commission Junction is easy

I joined Commission Junction a few weeks ago and was immediately approved, even though my websites are very new. Commission Junction has a lot of advertisers, so it was easy to find the best ones to display on my websites. I would sign up to be an affiliate for a site, and within minutes be approved to display their ads on my website. The interface that Commission Junction uses with its advertisers is pretty slick, I can go from my account to the advertisers popup window and preview their banners and links, pick the one I want, copy the code and I am done. All that is left is pasting the code to my website. I am a new webmaster, without a lot of traffic, so I have yet to make any commissions, but I am getting some impressions and am looking forward to working with Commission Junction for a long time. I would recommend this to newbies just starting their websites as it was very easy to get approved.

Good Experience so far

I am newer to Commission Junction but I love it. I am a member of two sites and the ads are great and are easy to add to your website and drive sales. They are also great about tracking how many times they are being clicked to help you see if the ads are actually successful. I recommend it.

CJ Approvals

I've been using CJ to provide advertising on my website for a few years now. I originally joined up with them, but couldn't make one cent, so they told me that my account was being closed down through inactivity.

I applied again and this time really wanted to be able to make money with CJ, but I do find it hard to find companies in their listings. Often I find a website/product that say their affiliate network is managed by CJ and I just can't find them using the search box when I am logged in.

When I set aside time to look through for new advertisers for my site, it can be annoying when you click to join and then they say your site will be individually reviewed - this is because "right now" I am looking, ready and able to update my site with adverts, but the approval process will mean I'll get an email in 2-3 days time and even if it's an approval I'll not have the time then to do anything with it and it's all forgotten.

I have had some success with individual products from CJ, but the interface is quite confusing and I always mean to look into the features they have, but end up not getting round to it because it takes so long to search/find companies to promote.

Overall, CJ are a good, reliable, honest company, but they work best for websites that simply want product feeds, or just 1-2 products to promote. You will need to set aside many hours to get to grips with finding/getting approved for and working out how to use the features they have.

A good resource... for some!

I came across Commission Junction within my quest to find advertisements to place on my first website (about travel) and I found this to be a decent place. Commission Junction definitely is well built and presents a solid reputation and good graphics. Nothing bad with this.. being so, so far so good right? Ok! They really have plenty of resources.. I found myself browsing for hours the advertisers in order to get the best deal to my website. However, the facts are that if you don't have a well-established website with loads of traffic this Commission Junction thing will do very LITTLE for you. Also, the site isn't top user-friendly and you tend to get lost sometimes. They also put you through a lot in order to be approved and it will be months and/or years until you see $100. In sum, lots of work for little money UNLESS you have a really good website with plenty of visits per day.

Good if you have lots of traffic

I joined Commission Junction a few months ago which was a pretty easy thing to do (some CPAs are not easy to join if you are a newbie). For newbies it is quite difficult to get approved from the advertisers but there are still some good auto-approval offers that one can use in the beginning (like ringtones and the like). Up to now I haven't earned that much revenue with CJ, because I don't have that much traffic (yet), but have to say that they are not my 'main CPA network'. Their interface is okay, sometimes it's a bit slow when it comes to loading pages etc. They have lots of offers to choose from and they are a CPA network dinosaur and reliable in terms of punctual payment. I'd recommend everyone to join them and see how it goes.

Great place for advertisers!

Commission Junction has a team of supportive members which are very helpful to my needs when I was advertising my website with them. They are quick to reply to emails and have very friendly staff to attend to your calls if you need to talk to them via phone.

For the advertising part, I signed up with them initially to promote my website. My goal was to get enough people to visit my website. The progress with Commission Junction was great. I could see traffic coming into my site after a few days of advertising with them.

I stuck with them for the next few months and got the traffic I needed. Thanks to Commission Junction, the money I've invested was all worth it.

I have being using Commission Junction on most of my websites since I started 4 years ago. This year I to-date 07/11/2009 I have had over 250,000 impressions and have made only €13 commission. The control panel is very easy to use and has a excellent list of businesses to promote and receive commission for any website. Hopefully in the future I will make money with Commission Junction as I make 10+ times more a month with Alpharooms and Adsense.

One thing I did like about Commission Junction's support team is their quick and helpful replies to any questions you might have. More on this posted on my blog.
