Findology is an advertising network that was founded in May 2000. The service is a search engine that delivers traffic to advertisers using a pay per click model. The company partnered with LookSmart and offers traffic from as low as 3 cents per click. Publishers can also take part and monetize their site by displaying Findology ads.
Findology is one of the few second tier pay per click search engines that has survived over the years. If you are looking for some cheap sources of traffic as a break from Google, Yahoo, and Bing, Findology is an alternative you can test. Clicks start at 3 cents so you can get a good amount of traffic with a smaller budget.
The search engine itself has many different ways to find information. Users can browse through the Video, News, Directory, Weather, and Research tabs to find what they are looking for. For the regular search, the results will come from the directory. Obviously this isn’t relevant as it only pulls directory results.
The sponsored results are shown on the right hand side of the search results. The great thing about putting up ads for the network is that you get more space for your ad compared to other major search engines. You can conduct keyword research after you login to your account. You can set ad groups and get started by launching your written ad.
It does take some time for your ad to get shown as the editors have to make sure that it is relevant to the search term. It seems like this is a great opportunity as there are very few competitors for even the most competitive search phrases in the other major search engines. However, the quality of traffic that you get from Findology is very low and many times they simply do not convert.
People have reported that Findology is a waste of time and there are better ways to get traffic. Just because the bids are cheap doesn’t mean that what you spend in your advertising will give you a positive return on investment. Most of the reviews seem to suggest that the quality of traffic is too low for it to be worth the time you put into creating campaigns.
As far as the publisher program goes, there are better ways to monetize your site. Because the bids are so low for the search engine, your earnings will also be low. If you have been banned from some of the other methods of monetization, then I would suggest trying Findology’s publishers program.
In conclusion, Findology isn’t a total disaster but it’s far worse than the other traffic sources that are available. Sure you will get traffic for very low prices but you still need that traffic to convert. While there are reports of the traffic bringing in sales, there are more complaints of the traffic failing to deliver. I recommend you look to other PPC search engines and ad buys to get the targeted traffic you need for your site.

Its a legit website I tried out this product from an advertisement on a website. It mentioned a great a way to bring up the traffic for your site at the cost of 3 cents per click. Well, I tried the product out soon after the advertisement I saw. I was hoping it will bring many more people to come to my site. After my website is signed up for the Findology it took few days before it's up in their web. After the first week, around 10 people had actually clicked on the website. Many did not come back afterward. Another week passed by, and it went up an average of 50 the second week. It cost me 1.50 dollar for the second week, but when I think to myself "did I made that money back"? I found that it did not work out as well. Having my website posted in Findology will help you get your traffic out. Well in another case, if your trying to get your money back it will not always work. We will not be guaranteed the visitor will hit any of the advertisements on our blog or website, or buy anything. Also, the visitor will not come back after the click. So, while the website helps you with getting traffic, it does not guarantee getting you money. This is also true to many other pay to click websites.

Not all bad, but revenue is slow I think findology has a pretty fine site design and interface to work with. It gives you complete control over your traffic and offers you an option where you can differentiate between traffic sources and requests for specific sources to either be turned on or off. However, there is no keywords to use, so tracking traffic is much more difficult and listings are duplicated when searched. Basically you have to work more to get a revenue, which sucks. A small fee also comes along for each traffic as well. To be honest I don't think this site is too different from googling or any other web search in comparison to a shopping search. I am probably going to stop using findology soon.

Some traffic increase but from viewers with no intention to buy I purchased a subscription to Findology’s advertising services on their site hoping to see an increase in traffic and sales like they promised. I saw that the site had ads all over with tons of members viewing them. About a week into my subscription, I was noticing that I had a little bit of increased traffic, but I wasn’t gaining any increase in sales. I decided that I would join as a member to see what was actually happening to my ad. I was extremely disappointed to find that my ad was scrambled somewhere in the thousands of ads for members to click to gain credits on the website. I could tell that the people were obviously only clicking the ads to gain the credits and that they were not actually going to the website for what the ad was. I immediately canceled my subscription and recommend that no one use this network for advertising.
