Grade Flippa ...

Flippa is a program that acts as a central marketplace where people can come to sell and purchase websites. This program allows websites sellers to list their sites along with descriptions and prices, and it provides buyers a place to browse websites and bid on the ones they want. The program was created by internet entrepreneurs Matt Mickiewicz and Mark Harbottle, who also run a similar program called Sitepoint.
Flippa is based on a simple premise: people who want to sell websites and people who want to purchase websites can come together. It is an auction program, but the only products that are bought and sold are websites. Registration with this site is free, and administrators are not there to help with any negotiations, just to make sure that buyers and sellers have a base from which to deal with each other.
If you are looking to sell a website on Flippa, the first thing that you do is register at the site. Once you do this, your next step is to set up your website to sell. The program takes you through what is basically a selling wizard, asking specific questions so that it can list your website properly.
You’ll be selling your website as an auction item on Flippa, meaning that you will be getting bids. You need to enter a starting bid price, a reserve price, which is the lowest price you’ll accept, and you can also enter a “buy it now” price if you wish. There is a fee for listing your website to sell.
As a buyer, you browse through the list of websites for sale, and when you see one that you are interested in buying, you place a bid. As long as you meet the reserve price, you’re in the running. When you bid on a website, you are making a promise to pay if you win the bid, so you need to take it seriously. If you do win a bid, you’ll be notified by Flippa, and they’ll also give you contact information for the seller. From there, you and the seller can iron out the details of payment.
Feedback on Flippa is mixed. The same people who founded and run the website Sitepoint also created and run Flippa, and both sites are website auction sites. Many people who are loyal to Sitepoint have been reluctant to try Flippa, and some say that the Flippa listing fees are too high. Others report being more than satisfied with the service that Flippa provides. It seems to be a judgment call that you can only make by trying it out at least once.

Flippa Flipoff This service appears great at first until I made my first purchase. I purchased a site from someone who supposedly had sold quite a few sites. After the purchase went through the seller never responded or gave me any files as was agreed upon in the item description upon purchase. Flippa de-activated their account, and kept the money I paid for the item without refunding any of it. This site is a perfect opening to scammers. I'll be staying as far as possible from this site and making sure others know to stay away as well. |

Flippa Are Verified Scamsters After placing 6 listings on FLIPPA we have come to realize that they manipulate bids and themselves sell websites under different IDs they create for themselves. Whenever any user such as myself goes against them about these scams they operate, we are banned and also threatened by anonymous sources. Their website sales success rate is 19% but it is posted as 56% on thee FLIPPA homepage. Their quantcast ranking is 90,000 but they claim to have 1000 visitors online every minute. What a bunch of cheats! I and my 3 friends have lost thousands of dollars buying and selling sites on Flippa. They have suspended us many times and quite frankly we are fed up. We finally took the initiative of taking the legal route and finishing them off once and for all. Your support is needed. Please get in touch with us with your stories about Flippa so we can kill off the GADAFFI from DOWN UNDER, namely FLIPPA. |

Website flipping Website flipping allowed me to quit my job. I am now on Flippa all day, posting up websites that I have created specializing in a service and starting bids at 150$. It is amazing how many people bid on these services and how fast I can develop a website and sell it back during that same day. My method might not be the best but it's earning me money and I love it. There a lot of people on this site who have websites being auctioned for a lot and one day I want to be like them. This is a different marketing technique and I wish I was introduced to this earlier in my life. One downside is that, if you want to make your ad noticeable you have to pay. Pay to bold your ad, pay to do all this and that because that's how Flippa keeps their server up and running.

Auction Doesn't End when it "Ends" I recently spotted a site on flippa that looked interesting & was 'ending soon' so I decided to wait until it was about to end & bid. Waited until 1 min 50 sec. left and put a bid in. A couple of others had the same idea & bid also. After 4 or 5 bids, I had the winning bid when time ran out. But NO! After the 'end' of the auction, the time remaining magically 'reset' to 4 hrs!? Checked back later, bids still being accepted. To my way of thinking, an auction should end when it says it will. I've used flippa before & never encountered this problem. I've no idea if this is a glitch or a planned way to milk more money out of auctions. |

It's Not Bad... Yet Not Good Either I've sold a few websites on Flippa and recently I've just stopped. The thing is this, : The $19 listing fee is TOO HIGH, especially since people like to pay at least $20 for a site (and some people will go low as to bidding on $1 if you set it up as a low reserve. I do believe in the phrase "you get what you pay for" but $19 is not worth it for me. Most people are on there looking for the autopilot sites whether it's clickbank or if it's with adsense and they'll actually buy it for $200. The success fee also kills though it's 5% of whatever your site sells for being that it's no lower than $5 and the cap is $498, you can either pay it full, split the success fee, or pay (get this) $99 for no success fee insurance type thing. Also if your site doesn't sell, you can relist your site for (get this) $9.95 (though you paid $19 before). The customer service was actually really nice and helpful towards me so I really have no problem with them at all, but unless you are DESPERATE to get a site sold, I say find other options. Plus the scamming is getting a bit outrageous and the trust rating can go up if you link your accounts to facebook, linkedin, etc. How does linking your account to a social networking site give anyone trust??

Slightly overpriced websites I just recently purchased a website through flippa. It is a well known and respected website among internet marketers although I have heard mixed reviews about it. I bought the site for $1,000 although the price seemed a little high for what it was. But I had a lot of ideas of ways I could monetize this particular site. The transaction went through smoothly without any issues and I was able to pay via paypal which made things easy. I have been working on my website and still am yet to make my money back, but am confident that I will be making a profit within the next 3 months.

Listing and commission fees are too high I found flippa through one of the many forums I participate in and I decided to sell some of my websites after hearing a lot of positive reviews. I loved the fact that my websites got a lot of bidders but only a few of them actually sold. There are two major things I don't like about Flippa. Firstly the listing fees are too high ($19 per listing is very expensive especially if you have more than three websites to sell. I pay $5.95 if I list my website on Dunkit). I listed 6 of my websites which cost me almost $120 so that I was not happy with. Secondly I don't like the fact that the owners of the site are not concerned about the relation between buyers and sellers. I mean they strictly say they don't act as mediators so if anything went wrong it's none of their problem. The customer service is rubbish and unhelpful. I did sell off my six websites but I canceled my account as I had to pay $498 in fees for each of the websites I sold for an average price of $1236. Evidently, I would not recommend you to use this service as it really doesn't benefit you. It's very risky as I had trouble getting payment from my buyers. So just be careful but I would look for alternative sources and not recommend Flippa. |

Aged domains I use Flippa to buy PR aged domain names for a cheap price. I just recently bought a pack of 5 PR aged domains and I am still working on putting content on them. I am waiting for the articles to be written because I already have the templates up. I plan on advertising CPA offers on them which should bring me an income of at least $50 a day. I purchased the 5 domains for $135 and I think that was very cheap considering that they cost $200+ if they are very old and PR like the ones I bought are.

Flipped it and made a profit Flippa is really an amazing product, there is information here that I never even heard of before in my entire IM experience. I learned about flipping websites on EBay and on Amazon which I didn’t even know about. At first I thought it was a lie, I didn’t know that people actually sold websites on eBay but I did a search for it on eBay and I found a lot of websites. I bought a website on an IM forum and I decided to use the strategies from Flippa to sell it on Ebay. I bought the site for $40 and sold it for $87.35 on eBay.

Great to Sell, Not So Much to Buy I was active on sitepoint before it became Flippa and found the new version to be much more user friendly and overall a superior platform. I made a lot of money selling websites on Flippa as the prices are far greater than other similar communities. That being said, I never bought a website on Flippa as they were always overpriced and I could find them cheaper else where. A great place to sell your own websites or sites you have purchased on other cheaper boards. |

Powerful Marketplace It is one of the most powerful marketplaces where we can sell or purchase the sites. When I was new to the Website flipping, I used to fail to sell sites on other marketplaces where I did not find more quality buyers. Flippa is full of more quality and trusted buyers where we can sell the sites very easily. Eighty percent of my sites will be sold through Flippa itself. They charge a reasonable price, about $19, to list our sites. I can say that it is an awesome marketplace for the people who want to buy or sell the sites. I am very happy to have a powerful marketplace like Flippa and most of the Internet marketers choose it to buy or sell the sites.

Really Good But Not The Best Flippa, formerly known as Sitepoint, was the best place ever to sell your websites. What I liked about it the most was the huge amount of traffic and it was the ultimate place for end-buyers rather than resellers like in Digital-point forum. And, it was a great help for me to flip sites that are very cheap for WAY more money! But currently it's becoming worse and very expensive. It sucks when they take a large sum of your money as a commission, especially with their new competition "Website Push". But still this site is the most popular and easiest for me to sell many sites quickly. If you wanna sell your site fast, I recommend this one. But if you're low on money go for Websitepush, it's cheaper and easier to deal with. |

Pretty good place for selling/buying websites I was looking into buying a reputable website that had potential earnings, but the amount of scams around the internet nowadays made this difficult. My friend then introduced me to Flippa and told me that the sellers are usually honest and the websites are topnotch. I went into the website and took a look and boy it was an eye opener. I could find websites that were generating up to 4000 per month! Most of the sellers are experienced web builders and have many projects which is why they have to sell some of these projects in Flippa to generate income for other projects. The websites that are on sale usually have addition information such as Alexa ranking and domain data. I would say this is a one stop shop for potential website buyers to visit if you are interested in working from home. Another point to note is to buy from sellers that have high +ve trust score. This is to safe guard yourself against any scams. |

Good place to buy your website I purchased one of my many sites from Flippa and I have not been disappointed. The site I purchased had a good Alexa rating which was a great start. I kept promoting it to keep the rating up which was very easy. This site that I purchased has been making me quite a bit of money every month, and I have already made back what I spent on the site. So it has all been worth it. I also like that when you click on a site that you are given all the information about the site, it's ranking, site details including page views, monthly revenues, etc. You also have a look at the domain data from WHOIS. This is all great information that is needed before making a final decision. The whole transaction process was quick and completely safe. I like that there are safety precautions set up to make sure that everyone's financial information is secure. I used PayPal which is the main method of payment. I also like the Buy It Now option which allowed me to purchase this site right away. It all reminds me of Ebay except there are no hassles involved like Ebay. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting a new site of their own. Most of them are reasonably priced and you get a real good view of what you are about to purchase before you actually do it. It is great and I give it a thumbs up. I will definitely be back yet again to buy another website. |

Invested My Money by Buying a Site at Flippa I once bought a website from Flippa and I'm happy with what it turned out. This was some sort of an investment. I purchased a 20-dollar site with a somewhat good traffic ranking. I just then did a little more Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Now, I already got my money back and constantly earning from revenue programs that I registered the site too. Not that much but at least I'm earning.

Not the best but it's OK My cousin's website was bought from Flippa. I was the one who did the purchasing for him since I have more patience to browse the Internet for more options and such. I ended up choosing Flippa because of the many positive reviews that I read online. And I like that I feel that the transactions are secure since this is the most important thing for me. And I don't regret that I chose Flippa to buy my cousin's website because the transaction went very smoothly. We found the site that we wanted to purchase, placed a Buy It Now bid, and paid for the site. See, this is what I liked best about Flippa. For buyers like me, it saved me a lot of time and effort by being able to purchase the website we wanted immediately after clicking on the Buy It Now button, and since the seller had set up a Paypal address, we were able to pay for the website right after placing the bid. This for me is convenience for both buyer and seller. Hassle free transaction and I would definitely recommend them to others who would be buying a website.
