Free Ad Forum Description

The FreeAdForum is a forum that allows you to advertise your products and services for free. Unlike most forums that let you advertise, you can promote different biz-op offers, market your affiliate program and also post your affiliate links in your post. There are various categories which you can post to, giving Internet marketers the ability to market different products and services.

Free Ad Forum Detailed Overview

Most forums allow you to either buy your advertising or use your signature file in order to market your product and services. The FreeAdForum allows you to market everything from MLMs, biz-ops, affiliate programs, offers and articles without any sort of advertising fee.

I first checked the forum to see how the discussions were. It looks like most of the discussions and articles in the main discussion/article section are thinly disguised affiliate promotions. This section is filled with posts by the admin or moderator of the forum advertising free offers in which they get commissions for.

You can advertise your offers by category. There is a section for Clickbank products, for biz-ops, one to market your own products or services, one for MLMs, one for software/tools, and one for affiliate programs. You have to make sure that you post in the appropriate category.

By the looks of it, most of the people that are members seem to be people who are looking to advertise themselves. There are hardly any regular visitors who want to discuss marketing strategies, share tips, and review products. This forum is slowly dying due to a lack of repeat visitors and very few of the posts are looked at by visitors with most posts receiving zero views.

The bottom line is that the forum doesn’t provide any value for its users. While the forum may have once been home to frequent visitors, hardly anybody comes back because it is filled with ads. When I looked at each section, I noticed there were only 3-5 people viewing the section at once. If you compare that to a regular busy forum, that's a big difference.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Free Ad Forum Reputation

If you want to use forums to market your products and services, I advise you go elsewhere and consider buying ad space in the forum. You can tell from visitor the FreeAdForum that the community has gone under and there are hardly any regular visitors coming to the site. Your time is better spent with other marketing strategies.

Thefreeadforum.com completely updated since these reviews

Thefreeadforum.com has been completely updated since all these reviews have been posted. The forum is no longer a free for all spam forum. It is a fully moderated internet marketing discussion forum including a section to discuss web hosting as well. Advertising is permitted in the signature file only and spam posts are deleted.

The forum has been updated to the latest vbulletin version and is on a dedicated server.

It still is not at the level of the Digitalpoint forum or The Warriors Forum but at least the spam is gone and moderation is in. So the forum is heading in the right direction.

Writers who contribute informative, no duplicate content IM related articles can be eligible to have their article promoted to all 100k members by email. I do not think the more established IM forums offer anything like this. Could be one advantage to dealing with a hungrier growing property rather than an established one who will not even return your emails.

To accommodate those who want to post free advertising a proper classified ads software has been set up separately on the domain. You can place category and geo specific ads like Craigslist or other classifieds sites. The ads are free and stay up for 30 days. Category Featured $5. Free ads can include photos, a live link and even a YouTube video. Many classified ads sites make you pay for this. Here it is free.

So now you can discuss internet marketing in a spam free environment and place proper category is a proper classified directory.

I do not think you are going to get rich advertising here, but I have gotten a fair amount of views to my classified ads in a short time.

IM is constantly changing and so services need to adapt as well. It does seem that Thefreeadforum.com is doing so. It is still going through growing pains and is not perfect, but at least the site is changing with the times and trying to offer value. Plus it is 99% free so at least you cannot lose money. Alexa shows traffic growing consistently for the last 3 months.

Strategies for getting traffic from The Free Ad Forum

I have read many of the criticisms of The Free Ad Forum and many are valid. Still there are creative ways to get some traffic from this forum. Here is one idea that hardly anybody is using.

1. Write Quality Original Internet Marketing Related Content And Tutorials And Post Them In The Forum. The Free Ad Forum does not have the restrictions that most forums do. You can post complete marketing tutorials, videos, real original articles with very little editorial interference. Hardly anybody is doing this. Everyone just posts little make money now ads but quality content always works. The forum gets traffic and the quality posts get real responses. Weekly mailings of over 100k are being directed to the forum so if you post quality content you will not only get your content indexed but you will take advantage of the weekly newsletter mailing traffic. If people comment on your post it pops up to the top of the forum. Nothing stopping you from making new comments on your quality post yourself bringing it to the top of the list.

Think what you could write which would bring value to the reader rather than just post an ad. Quality content will attract quality traffic and responses. Some posts like this are getting thousands of hits and real responses.

This is a long term strategy like creating a Squidoo page except it is easier and has less restrictions. Like I said you can even post your marketing videos right in your posts.

2. Check out Capt Kirk. This guy is a master of getting traffic from all sorts of free advertising forums. One of his techniques is to hang out in the introductions forum and greet new members. He greets the new members and has his ads in his signature. He has received thousands of visitors this way.

Sometimes you have to get creative and make lemonade out of lemons.

Didn't get referrals

I tried these forums a while ago. The site itself looked very popular (over 100,000 members and over 400,000 threads), so I posted a lot of my links with little explanations on these forums, but I didn't get a downline at all. I don't complain much, since it's all free, but advertising at this site is still a waste of time.

Very inactive forum and not worth it

It was just around two months ago when I came across Free Ad Forum. The idea behind the site seemed interesting to me and I decided what kind of results can be achieved from that forum. Overall after advertising there for around a month I quit since I was getting traffic close to nothing and it was just quite worthless. The program is similar to what you see in most traffic exchanges - people only care about their own ads and no one actually pays attention to yours. The site is just full of various advertisements and the chance of a potential customer seeing your ad is really slim and highly unlikely. The forum itself was quite inactive and every time I logged in, there were just three or four people in it so this means that you can't expect a significant increase in exposure. For the month I used Free Ad Forum, the additional traffic I got was just around one or two percent more which in my book is not satisfactory at all. I was one of the few members to actually see other people's offers and I have to say that a big part of them were well known scams and I wasn't able to find anything interesting and worth the try. It seems that the forum administration is visiting the forum quite rarely and they don't care about the content being posted. Overall for me Free Ad Forum was a waste of my time and I am not recommending this way of advertising. I believe that a traffic exchange will do the job of delivering traffic better.

No results at all

I became a member to Free Ad Forum just for a try. I wanted to see what’s going on – ads for free? After posting a few of my ads in different categories I realized that this board is completely useless. There are only advertisers, I’ve not noticed any clients at all. This way of ad campaign has to be a dead end. Moderators are too busy or something because they can’t control their board, I’ve seen a few spammers – they were ruining the main idea of forum. Well, it didn’t work for me, and I didn’t hear any good opinions about it.

I don’t recommend this forum to advertise

At first I really thought this is a great way to advertise my sales website. I subscribed to this forum and placed a few ads in the appropriate categories. Unfortunately I didn’t see any good results. My traffic and sales didn’t improve at all. I think it’s because people are coming there just to advertise their own business and they are not interested to check the other ads. This is why it was just a waste of time. Another thing I didn’t like was that people can post all kinds of scams. The admin isn’t paying any attention. I don’t recommend this forum to advertise.

This Ad Forum is a waste of time

I placed several ads in the appropriate categories in this ad forum. There were a ton of other people who were also advertising all of their stuff, and not a lot of people reading the ads. A lot of the ads that I found in that forum where what I would call spam, as they were for programs that scam people. It did not look like the moderators looked at anything that was posted in their forums or monitored the postings. I have an advertising forum as well. I only post one ad in each category so that other people have a chance to get their ads seen as well. I also monitor the ad forum that I run, and remove ads that are involved with scam web sites that just take people's money. I just feel that it is important to not fuel the fire of people getting scammed out of their money. I did not get any results with this ad forum at all, because my ad was buried underneath all of the others. Some legit, some not. I don't use it anymore.

How bad can it be if it's free?

In my experience with these forums, there is very little back and forth between the users of the forum. With a forum with high traffic, you would expect a little more from the users of the forum, but most of the visitors are just interested in visiting the forum and dropping their links to advertise their sites and then leave. The forum has a lot of potential and in the past has been more active, with people exchanging tips and marketing strategies etc., however the forum and the community is just not the same way that it used to be. I would recommend another forum if you would like some advice or networking, however it is a free chance to drop a link somewhere on the off chance some people may see it. Other than that, it is pretty much useless.

It's free, so it's ok

I discovered on the internet a very nice affiliate site that pays you for every unique visit you receive for your link. So I did the best I could to promote the link. I found this forum and it seemed to be a good place to gain some visits. I joined and I opened a new thread with information about the site in case anyone wanted to join and with my affiliate link. At the time the forum said it has 100,000 members, but when I looked closely only 3000 were active. Still, I tried. It was free after all.

You can easily check how many people actually viewed your topic and after two weeks I got only 30 visitors from which only two were interested enough to check out my link.

I can't say it was a waste of time, because I put an hour into it, to open the account and post the thread.

Very poor results

I needed some traffic for my links, so I joined to Free Ad Forum as there was no fees or obligations. The advertising section is just a huge forum with loads of topics advertising different stuff like PTCs, jobs, food supplements etc. Some of the topics have huge amount of replies but they are full of promotion too.

The forum looks very popular, but the amount of traffic was so low when I tried it, I barely got 5 clicks for my link on the same day. Don't expect to get 1000s of people to visit your links, don't let the amount of posts and topics fool you. I browsed the forum and noticed that even 1-year old advertisements had only 20-50 views.

I don't really think that you should promote your referral/affiliate links on Free Ad Forum, as the amount of traffic is very low.

Free ad forum is not worth it

As an online shop owner, I am constantly on a look out for free services where I can advertise my store for free. I have used traffic exchange sites and more. My experience in this Free Ad Forum is not positive. There were a lot of spammers who use this site and their admin doesn't even care to moderate the forums. Because of this, my ad will be removed from the front page due to the spammers who constantly flood the site with their referral links. What frustrated me the most is that other users reply to your post with their product or services not even related to the post you have made. I have stopped using this site and I won't ever use it again.

Get Indexed and nothing else

I would say this is an F and worthless if it wasn't for the fact that the site DOES in fact get high traffic. Placing the ad itself I can almost promise wont get you any traffic. However... Google makes frequent stops at sites like these and indexes all the links. So at least you have a decent chance of getting your site on google (or at least increasing your chances).

The forum itself is just horrible, no skin, no structure, it's literally a public link dumpster. But it gets the job done.

Great for advertising but not to good for bringing customers !

Like I was saying in the title this is great for advertising but you don't get too much volume coming from that website. I put my ad on their website and the first day I got maybe 3 clicks and it's been a while now and still no traffic comes from there. Why? Because it's free advertising. Every webmaster rushes to advertise their website and nobody rushes to visit the websites that are advertised on there.

But it's free so you might as well go for it, the least you can get is a backlink and a few visitors.

Waste of time!

The problem I found with this forum was that everyone that went there was looking to promote their OWN products/services/etc. Therefore, no one really cared much about what you had to say. They were all there for their own purpose, which was to sell advertise their own products/services.

If you are looking for quality traffic for your blog, I really suggest looking elsewhere because this forum won't provide any!

A Waste Of Time.

I signed up at this forum a while back with the hope that I would be able to advertise certain Get-Paid-To sites and different commission sites. This forum gave me nearly zero results. I had hardly any views on my posts and I had no new referrals that came from this forum. This site also claims that it is SEO, but that didn't help at all. Almost everyone at the forum is there because they want to advertise something too. Overall, this site is a waste of time and I would look towards other marketing strategies to promote your product and/or get referrals as this site is almost worthless.
