HercuList Description

Herculist is a safelist membership program created and run by internet marketer John Gloeckner. This program offers members a chance to send promotional emails to its membership database in exchange for giving permission to receive other member emails. There is a referral system in place that gives members the opportunity to earn cash commissions for recruiting others to the program as paying members.

HercuList Detailed Overview

When you join Herculist and sign in for the first time, you’re given a lot of options. Of course, the options include upgrading to a paid level of membership, but that’s normal. As a free member, you can email 1500 members (chosen at random by the program) once per week.

There is no credit system with Herculist like there is with traffic exchange programs or some other safelist programs. You don’t receive credits for reading other members’ emails, though free members can purchase one-time email blasts to all members instead of only 1500 members.

The big benefits are in paid membership at Herculist, of which there are two levels; Pro and Gold. Pro members pay $9.95 per month or $49.95 per year, and they can send promotional emails to the over 50,000 member database every 48 hours. Gold members pay $14.95 per month or $89.95 per year, and can send to the entire membership database every 24 hours. Pro and Gold members get higher commissions for recruiting paying members, and they get a few more perks as well.

Skeptics of Herculist say that since there is no incentive for reading or even opening emails that come from the program, most people simple aren’t going to do it. This definitely can be a problem. If you can get at least the subject of your email in front of people, then some creativity might get them to open it.

HercuList Reputation

Herculist enjoys a good reputation among safelist users, as is apparent by its large and ever-growing membership base. Though the program doesn’t offer any extraordinary features, the staff does its best to give all members what they need to make the most of the features it does provide. Customer service is reported to be responsive and commissions are paid in a timely manner.

It's not a great site, but it's not a bad one either

I have been a member of Herculist for a couple of months now and so far my experience with it is not very impressive overall. I was allowed to send emails every 84 hours to 750 members which made for two emails every seven days to 1500 members. I never did get any type of response from my emails that were sent.

One thing I did like was that I was never bombarded with emails from other members. The most emails I received in one day was about 30. I was a bit confused about the number of member emails I received but I didn't complain. I, unlike others, did take a few moments to go through some of them and actually found a few good programs that I signed up for. So, overall, it was not a complete waste of time.

I would have to say that with a site like Herculist, you need a real catcher of a subject line. The big downside to this program is that the majority of the emails are sent to the spam folder even if you whitelist them. I can honestly say that even though I saw no results from this program, it may not be true for everyone. Afterall, I made a few members happy by giving them their commissions and an addition to a few downlines.

I would say that if you are creative, then I would give this site a try. It will all be in the subject line of your emails because there are no incentives to even open your emails. This is an average site in my opinion.

I still have my doubts!

I registered to HercuList 3 weeks ago for promoting my other sites and program that I have.

All I can tell you by now is that I did not receive a single hit on my ad. How do I know if anybody hit my link?

I use HercuList for promoting a pay per click affiliate program. There I can definitely see if anyone click on my link. I do not need sign ups, just clicking the link. Unfortunately in 3 weeks not even a single click.

Instead of being targeted and earn money I received at least 50 emails from them every day, sometimes even more.

So, in conclusion, all I get from them is a full inbox of unsolicited mails and no clicks as I would wish.

I am registered there as a free member, maybe if I will upgrade it would be better, but I will wait for awhile to see what happens next!

Great community - just get ready for a flood!

I have had a great experience in building downlines for several different MLM programs (mostly my paid to click programs now that I think of it).

The service I have received has been very good in a program that is very user friendly to use. They claim a LOT on their website about response from their membership and largely they deliver.

For someone moving from newbie to the next step, Herculist has been very helpful. For example, I was working through the affinity groups at yahoo and getting some response getting people into hits4pay and other free to join programs. Once joining Herculist and mirroring the work of the more effective ads (these ads tend to use sensory images in the ads titles) my results became much better.

The tough part for me has been the floor of the emails I am receiving -- it is worth the 'cost'.

Barely works

I joined this service a couple of months ago when my friend referred me to this service and said it's an effortless method to gain extra traffic. After my first massive sending to 1500 members, I gained about 200 extra traffic within a week. It's really low, but considering that I'm not required to surf a website of another member, it's pretty good.

Sometimes I visit other member websites that I received in my e-mail as well just to make sure that at least some of the members in this service will keep doing this. If you join this service too, I suggest you to do the same to keep this service alive. Overall, I find this service to be pretty good considering that it will only take 10 minutes of my time once a week.

I use it for Emails

I've only been a member of this site for a few weeks. I use it to email users in hopes to gain referrals for my sites. What I do not like about it is I feel pressured to upgrade. They just will not let it go. If I had the funds to upgrade, I would. A reminder every once in a while is ok, but several times a day, nope - not a good thing.

I just keep using the email part of the program, and maybe one day I will get someone to join a program, read my blog, etc.

It's not a bad place to join.

One of the only safelists I'm part of

Herculist is one of the only safelists I'm part of. I can send out an ad once a week to 700 random members. For that feature I have about 100 ads a day put into my spam folder. I delete most every ad so I'm not sure how many of my ads actually get read. There is an option of upgrading shown every time you log in. Since there is many ads sent to me every day I remember to send my own out without a problem. If the ads become to much for you there is an option to opt out of the program in every mail which I consider every time I do send Out my ad. I have stayed with them and will continue to send out my ad to 700 people weekly with high hopes of getting signups for all my sites. If you have to join a safelist I would consider Herculist as an option. If at any time you get tired of deleting your inboxes then deleting your account is very easy to do.

Pretty good list

I've been using Herculist for quite a while now and even though I'm not an upgraded member, I like the ability to email other members with my promotions.

My favorite part of this list is that you don't have to earn credits in order to be able to email to members. With this feature, you can be sure the person who opens your email is actually interested in what you have to say and not the credits located inside.

I'd recommend that you join this one and make it part of your daily advertising efforts!

A pretty good list.

Herculist is pretty good. I like that it sends the messages to a small number of random users, instead of letting people blast the same message to everyone all the time. That really get's old at some of the other exchanges.

I think that explains the slightly better return from this exchange than others. It seems to give enough time so that your messages aren't stale to any one person.

I love the smartlist feature too. It's a really nice addition to the same old boring safelist routine.

Great Safelist!

I love this safelist. I joined as a free member and of course I don't have all of the benefits as upgraded members but the results are still just as great. As a free member, I am able to send my ad to 700 randomly chosen members, which isn't too shabby. The thing I love most about this site is that I am actually getting responses from the ads that I send out. The layout is very easy to follow. If you are interested in promoting your business or any other product HercuList would be the place to start. It is very rare that you will find a safelist that is as responsive as HercuList.
