Hostpapa is a hosting company based in NY and Toronto, Canada. The company offers unlimited web hosting, data, domains without setup fees or hidden costs. They also offer green hosting and promise to deliver world class support for affordable prices. The company currently hosts over 30000 domains for their clients.
Host Papa is a company that is relatively new to the scene. The company was started in 2007 and has been receiving some attention from webmasters so I decided to check it out. From what I saw, their hosting plan is incredibly cheap and come with some amazing selling points that make it attractive for the beginner Internet marketer.
The company has support for PHP 5, Perl, SSI, SSL, cron jobs, FrontPage extensions, and has Fantastico for quick installs. It also comes with many apps and web site building scripts along with free ecommerce managers. This is pretty standard for many great hosting companies but it’s good to know that Host Papa is also offering the same things.
They are offering 1 free domain name for life, unlimited diskspace, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domains, and unlimited subdomains – all without any setup fees. They also give you unlimited POP3 email accounts, and email forwarding. You get your standard web statistics such as Webalizer and the log files.
So what is the pricing for their plans? Their plan starts out at $6.95 a month with a 1 year contract, $5.95 a month with a 2 year contract, and $4.95 a month with a 3 year contract. The problem with this is that you will be locked in to a hosting plan you may not want. Sometimes hosting services may start out great but you may come up against problems and will want to switch.
Let’s move on to customer support. According to user reviews, there are a lot of complaints for the company. The downtime people are experiencing with the company is a big problem. On top of that, their servers are very slow and the support department does not respond to your request in a timely manner. Their promise of a 99% uptime guarantee simply does not live up in reality.
In conclusion, Host Papa is not a good choice for hosting your websites. The downtime is huge, the support is poor, and there are problems with running multiple MySQL scripts. It would be a huge problem if you took part in their annual plans only to find out how bad their service is. There are many other hosting companies that while are more expensive, offer excellent hosting.

I get totally satisfied!  I am a part time business man that works from home. I have a lot of websites and one of the first hosting services I used was this. It is great 'cause I had used it to host a lot of blogs. The service is good, I'm with them since about a couple months and I love their servers that are very fast, easy to follow and reliable. The fast upload and easy set-up of my blogs, at the moment I had not any issue with them, but the technical support had sent me some mails offering me their help at any time!So I must say that they offer a great web hosting that puts them on my top hosting service list! Ah! I forget that the prices are cheapest~normal but I say that they are far the best and friendly hosting company. |

Excellent all around! I have been hosting my blogs with this company for six month now and I am completely satisfied. Servers are very fast and reliable. Every one of my blogs load up under 2 seconds and I only had issues twice in six months. Technical support is a top notch and respond within hours even during weekends. Free domain is a bog kicker as domain names are pretty expensive to buy and even more expensive to renew. On the top of that you don't even have to worry about your website being offline because you went over the bandwidth limit. What else could you ask for? This is by far the best hosting company out there!
