Ifreelance Description

Ifreelance is an internet job site where buyers can post projects and freelancers can bid on them. The program brings buyers and freelancers together in one area, making it easier for everyone to search for what they need. The jobs that are posted for freelancers are things such as website developing, graphic arts, writing, editing and software and script programming.

Ifreelance Detailed Overview

It can often be difficult for people to outsource some of their internet marketing and website projects, just as it can be difficult for freelancers to find jobs. Ifreelance makes the process easier for everyone by bringing them together in one central place. People who have projects that need to be done can post them, and freelancers who have the skills to do the projects can bid on them.

At iFreelance, people who are looking for freelancers to do projects for them are called “buyers”. Buyers can sign up with the service for free and begin posting projects immediately. They have two options available to them when posting projects. They can post for all freelancers to see and wait for bids to come in before they decide on who to use, or they can search through the list of freelance members choose one to invite directly to do their project. Often buyers start out taking bids, then start doing invites once they get to know some freelancers and their work.

Freelancers can sign up with iFreelance and begin bidding on projects right away. There are no basic skill requirements put in place by the service, but freelancers do need to fill out a profile listing their skills and experience. Freelancers pay a membership fee to belong to the service. There is basic membership for $4.69 per month, silver for $6.95 per month and gold for $9 per month. The higher the membership, the more benefits you get within the service. Gold members’ bids are placed above silver member bids, silver above basic. Unlike many other of these types of services, iFreelance does not charge freelancers a commission when they’re paid by buyers.

Ifreelance Reputation

Ifreelance has received good feedback from both buyers and freelancers. There are some complaints by freelancers about not being able to see other bids, which can make pricing difficult. Other than that, freelancers say that they’re satisfied with the jobs they get from the service and the relationships that they can build with buyers. Buyers appreciate being able to find freelancers for their projects, especially those with whom they can build lasting working relationships.

Really not worth the money

I have been a member of ifreelance for nearly six months and have not received a single project even though I have bid on dozens of them. I am a talented, experienced, award-winning writer and editor, yet haven't earned a penny through this Web site. It's a great concept, if only it actually worked.

IFreelance provides no guranteed way to get paid

I did a project for a company call TR Development, which claims to be located in California (Could not find it with Google) and I met all expectations, but was never paid for services rendered. I understand that ifreelance.com never claimed to guarantee payment (buyer beware), but when I told them of the deception of this company, and suggested that they screen the companies on their site better, they had no response. I feel that once it has been determined that a company is scamming freelancers (and TR Development has scammed others) then they should be banned from submitting work. I have since moved onto another freelance site that doesn't cost the freelancer a dime, and I have been paid for the work that I have done.

Good site but needs monthly pay

Ifreelance is a good site for freelancers but unlike other sites it requires a monthly subscription starting with $4.69 onwards. The good thing however is that you can unsubscribe anytime you want and stop payments if you are not satisfied with their services or you are financially hard up. This makes it better than other sites whose payments are automatic and hard to stop once you have subscribed to their sites. If you are a newbie and have not yet started earning, I recommend you use other freelancers.

Excellent opportunity for freelancers

I have some experience with Ifreelance site because I am freelancing there for around 6 months. I am a coder/programmer and I am trying to earn some money with participating in different web projects. It is really hard in the beginning when you don't have positive feedback from project givers. I was making bids in all the programming projects and I got accepted in 2 projects. Luckily I was working with very honest and well paying people but you never know - there could be some that are not so honest. When I got feedback the things were easier and now I am doing more and more coding work and I am happy with this.

Ifreelance is very good option for you:

-if you are good at design/coding/article writing - you can earn good money

-if you have some work - you will get it done with quality because many freelancers there are very good in what they do.

Fashion Site

I have hired many people from Ifreelance to write me scripts, write content and create software for me among many other things. Last project I had done on Ifreelance was a fashion website creation which I paid $150 for. I hired someone I had worked with before, the person bidded on my project and since I knew the type of work he did from when I worked with him before, I chose him as the winner. He lived up to my expectations and did an excellent job; the template was done in 3 days. I always go to Ifreelance for big projects because I know that the freelancers on there can handle them.

Another typical freelancing site

Of course, when it comes to the term freelancing, ifreelancer is certainly up there with Odesk, GetAfreelance etc. So I tested it out and started looking at any offers that were worthwhile. Well, again as an article writer, I thought most of the rates were low again. I'm sure that the people who provides jobs there wanted quantity more than quality as 1.5$ per article is really a poor rate. I though did try to bid on one that was for 3$ but didn't win as I didn't have any feedback yet so it is quite hard to get a job there for me. Well, I did hear that many people have been getting positive feedback so I do recommend it to people who can accept their low rates, but for me, I don't think it's worth my time.

Website Replica

I have had many projects done from people I hired on Ifreelance, but the one that I remember the most is the website replica job I paid for. I posted the job on a Monday and by Wednesday of that same week I already had over 12 bids. I chose the winner on that Friday and to this day I am still very happy with the job he did for me. I needed a replica of an online store and I wanted a shopping cart, zooming options and ecommerce as well as many other features. Well the freelancer had the job done for me in two weeks and he included absolutely EVERY single thing I asked for. I paid him for the job and even gave him a $25 bonus because I was very impressed with the well done job he did for me.

Honesty

Buy Designs And Flip Them For Profit

I buy website designs from Ifreelance, which I then later flip on auction sites. The designs from Ifreelance usually cost me around $25-30 which is cheap in my opinion. The designs are always very professional and if I ever order any designs they are always finished within the set time range. Every detail I always ask for when I order a new design is always included and the freelancers never miss anything so I always get what I ask for. I have never had a bad experience on Ifreelance and most of the freelancers on there are hardworking, honest and most of all reliable.

25% of my customers

I used to post my Ad posting and Design services on Ifreelance and 25% of customers came from there alone. I used to offer very cheap Ad services for Craigslist, Backpage and Kijiji, which are the three most popular classified sites. I posted manually on Backpage and on Kijiji and I had the craigslist posting automated with Troopal. I used to receive 2-3 offers daily and usually made $50+ a week just from Ifreelance. Freelancing on Ifreelance did not make me rich, but it did pay my bills. The people that hired me from here always paid me on time and I was never scammed, so I would definitely recommend Ifreelance.

One of the better freelancing sites

I have tried other similar services in the past and in my opinion Ifreelance is a nice product. I found the Ifreelance about five months ago and decided to try it out since I was hoping to find people to help me make some projects a reality. In some aspects that site was a bit different than the others and it wasn't a bad choice. Good thing about the site is that thanks to your account you can get a good exposure on your site or blog. The price I have to say wasn't of the lowest but not that high too. The projects I was able to realize turned out to be quite good actually and I really liked the outcome. Definitely adding personal information is a good feature. You can fill in your profile in great details and thanks to that I was able to get a good traffic for my business. It is up to you to decided whether to use that feature or not but I am highly recommending it. Another good thing about the site was the customer support which was really great. When I had questions I am always getting fast and accurate answers, explained in detail. I also liked the fact that there are no additional commissions on your projects. As a conclusion I would say that the site worked quite well for me.

Very Cheap Content

I have used Ifreelance many times to buy cheap content for my PR blogs. I usually find someone to hire within the first 3 days of posting the project and the work is always delivered in less than 24 hours. I always find people willing to work for whatever rates I offer them which is usually $0.70 per 100 words. The latest project I posted was a 12 article project and I actually hired someone who had worked for me before. He had the articles done in 18 hours and I paid $. 80 per 100 words because he is a really good writer.

The Truth Hurts

Just like LimeExchange

I signed up for this at the time I was waiting for a reply to one of my posts at LimeExchange. I posted the job and waited for a reply from one of the freelancers.

I waited and waited.

Finally an offer came but I guess it was too late. I do not know if it has something to do with the system but I guess there are fewer freelancers here than on other sites. I do not know if it's with my price offering but it really took a long time before somebody replied.

I think they should do something with jobs posted for buyers not to keep on waiting. I'm giving it a C.

Different isn't that bad

I joined Ifreelance more than 3 years ago. The concept is a bit different from other freelance websites. I found this to be a very interesting place. I got 3 or 4 projects there, but the main feature for me is the exposure your profile gets. Indeed you have to pay (you have 3 different types of membership) but the exposure is great. My company got several projects based on visits on that page. You can place your contact information (unlike 99% of the freelance sites), portfolio, references, past projects, photos, samples and more. This can be great for your business if you know how to organize your profile. I never had any issues up to now and the support team works in a decent way. If you need to increase your business this is definitely a website to visit. Even the membership isn't that expensive (the basic is less than $45 for a whole year) and you DON'T pay any extra commissions on your projects. This is great, try it.

Good but scammed once

This is a great site if your lucky enough to not get scammed. I wanted to have a graphic design to be created for my eBook by one of the graphic artist over at the site and I hired and payed him the money. After a few days I never ever heard anything from him. That was my initial experience with this site, however there are lot of genuine people over there. However, honestly I think other competitive sites are far better and far cheaper too. However this site has a slight advantage over the others as it has some freelancing jobs which we can’t find over at the others. For those who want to outsource your work to this site, I highly recommend you to check the credibility of the person you are hiring before paying him the money and avoid paying the complete payment upfront. All in all a decent site which has a wide variety of talented people who are willing to do the quality job for you.

A typical freelancing website

IFreelance is nothing to really brag about. There are many websites like it... all with a central purpose. To get the freelancers to find work & the people to find freelancers for their work. And of course, the freelancers have to bid on the work. That's the only quip I have about the website. I didn't stay long because I find buying membership to find a job isn't for me. However, they do have a low monthly rate, which is something to brag about. You have to keep your eye out for the people who have fraudulent accounts. In my opinion, I don't think there's enough being done to ensure that scams won't occur to workers/seekers. Overall, it's just okay. Not for me, but it works for many people.

Beware of scams, otherwise good

I joined Ifreelance in search for a job that could land me extra cash on the side. As compared to other freelance job sites that I have been with in the past eg. freelancejobs, I have found that Ifreelance is quite versatile. There are a whole range of jobs available that definitely will suit those who are eager to start in this type of market. My experience with ifreelance has been okay as I am a graphic designer and have had numerous jobs offered to me through the site. I have been paid well (my highest being around $200 for a professional poster). The bad thing about this website is that it may often lead to scams and so one must be careful when dealing with suspicious job offers. Overall I would recommend this site to those who are looking for some extra work on the side, as their service is somewhat reliable apart from the scam offers that may pop up from time to time.

Mediocre compared to others

This was one of the sites I was using some time ago alongside Getafreelancer and Getacoder. Compared to them this site has really bad customer support. Also most people wanting to hire others at Ifreelance are amateurs and make shocking demands. I was asked to do seo for a site and make it reach page 1 in google for 50$. But if you are looking for a bit of extra opportunity besides getafreelancer than this site is for you.

I was scammed

I have only used Ifreelance once is that is due to the fact that I got scammed, so obviously I have not gone back there. I paid for an automatic cookie cleaning script, but I never got it which is the first time something like that has happened to me. I paid the person $90 but he just disappeared. I tried contacting the person many times but he never emailed me or messaged me after he got his money. I contacted support on Ifreelance and it took them a week to get back to me and they pretty much could not help me in any way. I wouldn’t recommend Ifreelance because of my bad experience.

Not up to par with the rest of freelance sites

I used to use Ifreelance before I found getafreelancer. During my time with them I experienced some mixed emotions with the workers there. I posted a few article writing jobs and had some responses with people asking me for seven dollars per 500 word article, which is ridiculous. It was hard to find a real good bargain with people on this site, eventually I found a young writer from overseas who was willing to write articles for me for 2 bucks a pop. It took me about a month to find him and after writing me 10 articled, I never heard from him. The workers on the site just didn't seem very reliable if your looking for a long term freelancer to do work for you.

Good service for freelancers and project owners

I use IFreelance mainly as a buyer, and since it's free to post projects it's actually a bargain for me. I have managed to post almost 10 projects and I have been fortunate that I got excellent providers. The website is very easy to navigate through, and so far I have not had any problems with my providers. They deliver my projects on time and provide excellent work, and I pay them on time and commission fees are not that bad. I love the fact that I can actually search for providers myself instead of just depending on the bids that providers make.

I have also just recently signed on as a gold member provider since all my projects have been completed. So far I have only completed three jobs. I was paid on time and my buyers were happy with my work. This service is excellent for both buyers and providers. The fees charged for providers is really peanuts as you get jobs that are a lot worth more than the membership. Give this one a go if you are a freelancer.

Received a great service

I found this website really helpful and reliable. The providers in the site are really great and I think there must be some sort of vetting program. I ordered a website flash design, got the offer within first 6 hours, and had chosen the provider by the evening. Since it was a simple site by the following, I got my design which was professionally done. I made a big savings of about 60% which is great considering the current economic times. For a small business with limited capital looking to expand, this site's services are essential as you will get the professional help you need and at same time at very low prices.

Nothing Too Special

I found this site while pursuing work at home jobs a while ago and utilized them when I started building an online presence myself by offering pay for small tasks completed! When searching for jobs, I didn't really see anything of interest to me, and there wasn't many available opportunities either! Also, the setup isn't as user friendly as some other virtual job sites I'm a member of.

When I was posting tasks to complete, it seems that there weren't many members on the site, like the site was virtually unknown or something! The requests I did receive were false leads and offers for something of theirs! I really didn't get far off into the site after a few stints like that, I just got the sense that the site was worthless and a spam for all session or something! I mean, why are you offering me something through a post that's offering an assignment? That's like going to a job interview for a position and offering the interviewer a job you have available? HUH?

So this site maybe useful now, but when I was looking for online work and offering online work, the results were not good in the least!

A lot of good jobs. Good way to make money from home!

I'm a graphic designer and have been on many freelance sites. Most sites don't offer the kind of jobs I found on iFreelance though.

Ifreelance has all kinds of jobs for mac, windows, websites, design, arts, posters, flyers, and even writing! I'm a designer and I've already designed a few websites through iFreelance. Their payment processing is simple and best of all it's FREE.

Their system allows me to get multiple jobs at once and they have new jobs every day. I am making over $22 dollars an hour on a job I found through them.

It is also easy to get in contact with providers. You can also post up your resume and iFreelance will advertise you FOR FREE. I've had 5 people contact me already in a few days asking me to work. They were all paying more than $10/hr.
