Key For Cash Description

Key For Cash is a data entry website that was started in 2001 and allows its members to get positions performing typing services out of their homes. It is all about data entry and members just type the data that is sent to them through their computer. Membership is limited and all people who would like to become a data entry employee must past an evaluation test to be considered.

Key For Cash Detailed Overview

There is absolutely no cost to work for Key For Cash and there is no long-term commitment. People interested in a position are allowed to take the evaluation test and work as they desire. During the evaluation process applicants will be redirected to various advertising offers but there is no obligation to join or sign up for any of them. The amount of money that can be made depends completely on the quantity of work done and whether or not there is work available. There will be times when there is a lot of work to be done and other times when work is not available. And, members can work any hours they desire as long as the work is available.

Positions is availble to anyone who lives in the contiguous United States though if you live outside of that area you are invited to take the evaluation test and when/if the criteria changes you will be contacted. The only additional requirements to work for Key For Cash are a computer with an internet connection and Javascript installed. They do recommend using Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3, Google Chrome, or Safari 3.1.

The evaluation process/test is used to set a line up of future workers. This means that quality keyers will get quicker access to any work that may be available. Once the evaluation has been taken a percentile ranking will be assigned. The higher the percentage the higher the persons ranking will be. The percentile ranking can go up and down as other people join Key For Cash and take the evaluation test. If you are unhappy with your percentile ranking you are allowed to retake the test every 24 hours.

Key For Cash Reputation

Signing up for Key For Cash costs absolutely nothing except a few minutes of your time to take the evaluation test. It is possible to make some extra money if you can rank high enough to be offered positions. But, the evaluation test is very difficult - especially if you do not take the time to read the instructions very carefully. But, since you are able to retake the test every day keep trying until you achieve a rank you are satisfied with.

Didn't Respond Back

I was hearing a lot about this company on YouTube and decided that I wanted to try it. I took the test and scored pretty high but I waited weeks and weeks but no one contacted me about anything. Took it again and scored higher than the first time. Still no email. Seemed like an okay job. If they would respond back to the ones who are interested.

I have heard a lot about this service and was interested to try it

I have heard a lot about this service and was interested to try it. I took the three tests and was told that I had a score of 91% and was told I would be contacted. The only problem I had with this company was that they never got back to me about any kind of data entry work. Apparently the program has no idea what they are looking for and I never received any data entry tasks from them.

Is this one around anymore?

I had heard about this service and was eager to try it. However, my expectations were not met at all. I took the three tests and was told that I had a score of 93% and was told I would be contacted. However, after weeks of waiting, I was never sent an email or anything of the sort. I had heard it may take two weeks but after a month, I figured I had not scored well enough. I went to login to the site about a week ago and it was gone.

They never contacted me

The only problem I had with this company was that they never got back to me about any kind of data entry work. I had completed all of the qualification tests with scores between a 97%-100%, so I didn't think that that was why they never contacted me. It's been about a year since I've completed the qualification tests. I even retook them to see if maybe they missed me through all of the potential applicants they must have been receiving, but I still received no response from them. Unfortunately, this is all I can say about the company since I never received any data entry tasks from them.

It's not a scam

Key for Cash is definitely not a scam, but I would say it is not worth your time. After you join key for cash, you have to take three different qualification tests. They are endless! Then after the test, even if you do good, they do not contact you for a long time. Sometimes they even wait months to send you an email. Customer Service is a very important part of any business, and Key for Cash just leaves you hanging. I have talked to other people about this, and they have said the same thing. One woman said it took almost a full year to hear back from them. I would suggest that you don't even waste your time with this site. You can find plenty more good paying online jobs out there that are actually worth your time.

Keys for cash is a legit work at home company

I have worked for keys for cash for a couple of years. First and foremost you will NOT make a lot of money keying. It is only for extra cash. Maybe 30 bucks a week. That has been my experience. Sure you could possibly make more money but you would have be keying for hours on end. I also have gotten paid on time each week.

This is not consistent stable work. Sometimes there is no work to key. Sometimes there is a lot of work, you never know. At different times of the day also makes a difference as to how much work there is. Depends on how many people are keying at those times. If you stay at home and have a few hours to spare why not make a little spending money keying.

Key for Cash

I have been working for Key for Cash for about a month and have been waiting for my first pay check for about 3 weeks. I have continuously notified them by email and now they are not even responding back to me. I can't find any other information on how to contact them. I am so disappointed because I really love doing data entry and was very excited when after 6 months of waiting I was finally contacted by them. I don't know who to turn to about getting payment from them. If there is anyone who may have better contact information other than their email would you please let me know.

Key for Cash Good or Bad

I have been working with them for a few months now and they no longer send you work. You login to the website and click the link to work. Most of the time there is work, but there are still times when there is none.

They also pay . 25 for 1000 keystrokes not words. Yes it is hard to make a good living, but is good for just extra income.

Two strikes you're out

This is the second time I have tried to join Key For Cash. The test is a joke and once you pass, you don't hear from them. This time it was actually weird when I tested. I kept being sent back to the 1st test when I should have been going forward to the second. I passed the first test in the upper 90 percentile. That has been a couple of months ago. I still can't get the test completed. I don't know if the opportunity is there because I can never get access to the site. It's very frustrating.

Does Not Offer What It States in the description

I have tried the evaluation test on Key For Cash several months ago and though I am certain that I passed the evaluation test, they insist that I did not. Apparently the program has no idea what they are looking for, but their presentation makes it seem like it is a legitimate job opportunity. What else can you do besides type reports or articles, or etc? For those who are able to pass the test and actually gain a position to do work with key for cash I suggest that you only stick to this part time. ?Do not expect to earn a salary from this.

I Think I'll Go Elsewhere!

I came across the Key for Cash website purely by accident yesterday morning. I'm a freelance writer & master catalog copywriter by trade, and I was primarily looking for something a bit different to do on the side when I got bored.

I signed-up yesterday about 10 am PST and was directed to the "evaluation" portion of their site. Personally, I don't understand why most everyone had such a problem with it - I completed Step #1 in probably 10 minutes or less and received a 98% percentile ranking.

Personally, I thought the test was an absolute joke, and I personally found it extremely EASY, and I've never involved myself in data entry before.

I took a short break of perhaps 10 minutes as I had something I had to take care of. I returned to do Step #2 and received a message stating that I had been timed-out because I was away from my computer too long and that I needed to sign-in once again. Okay... not an issue, but when I tried to sign back in, I was told that there was no record of my email address on-file. I made the attempt 4 - 5 times and still couldn't get signed back in, so I sent an email to their Customer Support wanting to know what was going on. It's now close to 10 am PST the following day, and I have yet to hear back from them!

Customer service is extremely important to me, and this company seems to be lacking in that area!

After reading all of the posts on this board and experiencing the poor customer service I've encountered thus far or the lack of it, I've decided not to pursue a relationship with Key For Cash even if they do contact me in the future.

Fortunately, I don't really NEED the extra cash and I knew I wouldn't make a lot by doing data entry to begin with, but thought it might be "fun" to do for a couple of hours a day to break things up a little bit.

I appreciate the insight which I've gained from the posts on this board!

Not worth the time and efforts

I stumbled upon Key For Cash accidentally while making a Google search and I decided to try the site as I thought that I might be able to earn some easy money. As most data entry sites I have tried, that one proved to be a total waste of time and I wasn't able to earn nay money. The only thing I did was wasting three weeks of my life to get nothing in return. First of all before starting with that site I had to go through a so called evaluation which was a pain staking process and it took me around a week to get approved. Also it took me quite some efforts to become a member and I strongly regret doing all of this now. As I see it, the test you have to complete can't really show the administration that you are good for the job or not. So after I got approved the big wait for tasks started. It took me three days to get my first task and it took me a lot of time to complete it. Also the payment rates are pretty low and it would take you months to earn decent money. For the three weeks I was a member of Key For Cash, I got just around ten tasks which were far from enough to reach the minimum cashout requirement. As a conclusion I will say that joining that specific data entry site is not a good thing to do since you will only get your time wasted and you won't see any real money.

Blogging Tips

Exploitation of people

When KeyforCash started off, it was great. They had lots of work, good remuneration and fast payouts. It has totally lost their way to an extent that they can be accused of exploiting people.

A pay of 20cents for 1000 words is ridiculously low for anyone. When it started out, it was paying almost $1 for 1000 words. That was reasonable and we could get some reward for our efforts. Now, with remunerations stooping to an all time low, it's nothing but exploitation of people.

Another disadvantage has been the seemingly low amount of work available nowadays.

I would like to add that this is a genuine working opportunity though and not a scam like the others.

Requirements to join:

You should crack their test and be in the 90th percentile to be assured of the job.

You should be from the U. S

My view: Not worth it. Don't short-sell yourself

Is it really worth it?

A few months ago, I came upon this site while searching for something to earn a bit of cash on the internet. This site looked very promising because I could make money just by typing some stuff! I took the evaluation and after 2-3 tries I was able to put my percentile into the 90's(which assures you of a 'job'). They contacted me that I could work for them, and happy as I was (with my new income), I immediately started typing data entries.

After a few days full of hours of typing, my wrists started to ache so I decided to stop with it. In the end it just wasn't worth it.

You only get 20 cent/1000 words and you have to reach a minimum before they'll pay you out.

If they would pay more, this would be far more interesting, but now it just ain't worth it.

Nothing more than a time waste

Key for Cash is a data entry website which I joined a few months back. I was having big hopes to make some extra cash but nothing even close to that happened, and I had an awful experience with that site. The evaluation process was really a frustrating thing to do because it wasn't very easy and it was taking a lot of time to complete, but without it you can't become a member. The test is made to see whether you have the typing skills or not, but in my opinion it is quite worthless. The so called jobs you had to do were actually quite rare and I wasn't able to make much money out of them. I have used the site for just over a month when I decided that it is about time to stop with it. The process of making money is so slow and because of that I wasn't able to reach the minimum cashout. You can definitely find better opportunities to make money and my advice is to avoid Key for Cash.

Pretty lame money making site

Key for Cash is not a very reliable source of income. I signed up with them about 3-4 months ago. I took their evaluation test about 4 times and finally got to get work from them. It sounded like a great opportunity to make some money, but I was dead wrong. You get to payout every week at $50, but with the $0.02 for every 1000 words it would take you forever. So, you would be putting in long hours of work with hopes to reach the payout and you still may not even make half of the money. Also, work is very slow. I do not recommend this site to anyone because it is not worth your time.

Little Work Available and Low Pay

Keyforcash.com is a legitimate data entry website. They do not require keyers to pay to work for them; however, you do have to pass quite a lengthy evaluation. It took me several tries at the evaluation to finally make it into the upper 90th percentile that they require before hiring. You can only take the evaluation once every 24 hours. I would take notes of what I believe I had done wrong and could improve on before taking the test again. Eventually, I cracked the code and made a high percentile.

Work is available mostly in the early morning hours, so you really have to be on your toes and check often to find snippets to key in. They do pay weekly with a $50 minimum payout. They currently only pay $. 20 for every 1000 characters keyed in, so it is very difficult to make the payout in a week. It can also become very tedious and boring, once you become familiar with all of the rules of keying, requiring very little though with monotonous action.

Keying for cash can be good for a little extra supplemental income for the month, but not something you can rely on for a guaranteed amount of monthly income.

Not quite a scam but close

I had registered over and over again at different times with Key for cash and each time they told me they are not accepting any new people. So, I wonder if it is a scam. I gave up trying. I thought it would be a great way to make some extra money doing something different than writing, but I was wrong on this job offer. I would not recommend this job to anyone.

It Is Not A Scam But It's Worthless

For starters KeyForCash is very different than any other home working program because when you visit the site, you will not see any pictures of fancy cars, million dollar mansions and ridiculous bank accounts. The site page looks realistic, which was the reason that made me wanting to join.

After I signed up, I had to take some evaluation test in order to qualify. The evaluation test was little hard for me because the numbers and letters were hard to see, but, I managed to pass test.

However, after few weeks I quit because there wasn't any work at all. Within the few weeks, I only got 2 work assignments and that's not even a dollar. Moreover, the minimum cash out is 50 dollars, which is impossible to reach.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because there isn't any work at all.

Hard to get into

I heard when I first tried Key for Cash that it could be difficult to rate high enough on the tests to get offered any work--and it turns out that's absolutely true because I got very high scores and still got nothing. You can come back and re-try the tests every day, but that is a significant chunk of time doing something that might not have much payoff, since it's hard to say what score will actually get you hired--and even then, whether you'll get jobs that pay much of anything.

Do not waste your Time

I became a member of this 5 months ago and I am surprised the site is still up and running. When I signed up for an account they would make an evaluation on my typing skills which was almost like a joke to me because the some of the numbers and letters were very hard to understand and until you successfully completed the evaluation process they won't allow you to become a member. After I completed this step I started to notice that the work given there was very scarce and inconsistent which was a total waste of time. Later on I read the site better and found out that the days with scarce jobs or 0 jobs were supposed to be normal. I really didn't like that at all and preferred to quit the site. I am not really saying the site is a scam because I never reached payout but to me is just a waste of time. I can invest my time doing something more productive than getting a few cents here and there.

Totally worthless

After I signed up, I had to take the test a couple of times in order to succeed. It wasn't a hard test, all you have to do is type in the letters you see, but some of the letters are very unclear and distorted, so it's partially a matter of luck to get them right.

After completing the test successfully, I found out that the site itself isn't worth anything. I was on the website for a couple of months and only got about 8 jobs, each of them for less than a dollar.

Total waste of time, wouldn't recommend it!

Key for Cash actually works

The work at Key for Cash is very easy. All you have to do is type in the letters or numbers that you see. I actually signed up twice before getting hired. The problem with Key for Cash is that their work is inconsistent. There will be days when all you make is 10 cents, or no work at all. The payout is $50 which is hard to reach as they are constantly lowering the rate of pay. When I started it was relatively good, and now it is not. They also pay by check and had an issue with check processing where the checks were almost a month late.

Worthless for me

Key For Cash is completely a free service. I read lot of feedback about this site and all were positive. That’s why I decided to join them. After the sign up, I was asked to take an evaluation test in order to qualify. This evaluation was to check my keying ability. They gave me small, simple and easy to understand instructions before every step which totally included 3 steps. The 1st step was to type alphabets and words. I completed this step successfully. Step 2 was to key dollars. I was very disappointed at this step. The numbers were not clear enough to type and some were shown partially. I tried doing this several times and never succeeded. Without completing these three steps, we are not able to enter the money earning portion. I just gave up at that time.

Conclusion:

I don’t know if it's a scam, but yet I don’t recommend this to anyone. You would just waste your time.

No Cash for Keying

I signed up to this site out of curiosity. I have not truly found an online JOB that does not require MONEY of some kind. It is true that you can sign up absolutely free. However, after I registered TWICE, the verification link in both emails did not open up the opportunity to even test. I believe this site is a waste of time and energy to even sign up or test, if you get the chance.

Never Even Heard From Them!

By the comments here, it's a wonder anyone got a response?! It was a year or so ago when I came across this site and thought it was a good idea. I didn't really want to do any phone work, so data entry was right in line with what I wanted to do. Sign up was simple, too simple, but I never took any qualification anything! I didn't know about that, I just submitted my information and a page came up stating that they currently weren't looking for anyone at that time, when they had more work they would let let everyone know!

Now, I'm not sure what constitutes as qualified if I never took a test, but I know I never received anything from them about any open positions or that they had work available! I went back to the site numerous times but never could see any indication if they had any work available! I sent an email to the customer care department trying to find out about work, just to see if they had any humans working behind the scenes. Guess not, never got a response!

Kudos to you who have worked and gotten paid, so you say. But if they can't respond to an email inquiry or post about job openings, that's a good indication that Key For Cash would have you keying for free!

What a waste

I went to the site everyday and kept retaking the test to improve my score, and no matter what the score I never was given an opportunity. I kept going back to the site, but after hearing the other reviews I will no longer waste my time. They clearly have no regard for personal effort and dedication, and if they persist in advertising a site that is completely overstaffed and not paid, they do not deserve our consideration or time.

This is a total scam site

This site seems to be getting mixed reviews and I am not sure if I just had bad luck or what. I signed up for Key for Cash about 6 months ago because I have been looking for home data entry jobs and so far I have been scammed a lot. The amount I was paid for my work was minimal at best, and the work was scarce, but I decided to pursue it in case it may have been a legit company. When I finally reached payout and requested my money I waited for over 2 weeks. When I still was not paid I contacted the admins of the site and requested they contact me back regarding my payment. I received no response and sent several more help requests. This site looked promising, however it turned out to be a very disappointing experience for me. I see it is getting mixed reviews, but my advice would be to stay away and look elsewhere.

A while ago I decided to give Key for Cash ago, because some of my friends were using it and having great success. So I signed up and started typing, the support from the company was great until I began working, for about a week I continued working for 3-4 hours a day. After the first week I decided to request the payment for the work I had done, I had no response and still to this day I haven't had a response. Maybe it was a glitch in their system, but I still haven't recieved a cent. The website itself has a good design and structure.

Overall Rating: D

It has been fine for me

I have been with Key For Cash for almost 2 years and have been happy with it so far. There hasn't been much work lately, but their site clearly states that they do go through times like these. Every time I have earned a paycheck with them, I have always received them. Sometimes it took about a month for me to receive my check, but it always came. Lately, it has only been taking about a little over a week to get my check in the mail. It does take longer now for me to reach payout, but any extra money I can make for my family is a help. You won't support yourself with the income, but it is a good data entry job to make a little extra money.

Frustrated

I went to the site everyday and kept retaking the test to improve my score, and no matter what the score I never was given an opportunity. I kept going back to the site but after hearing the other reviews I will no longer waste my time. They clearly have no regard for personal effort and dedication, and if they persist in advertising a site that is completely overstaffed and not paid, they do not deserve our consideration or time.

Waste of time

I was looking for a work at home opportunity and key for cash sounded like a great one. I worked for about a month before I requested pay out and received nothing. I contacted administration and they never returned my message. I was so angry because I really needed the money and I worked so hard for those couple of dollars. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It was just a waste of time.

A Great Site!

Obviously the other reviewers have not actually used this site as it is a great site that pays out nicely! It is the only legit data entry site I have come across. I have been with keyforcash for about 2 years now and have never had a problem with them. Though there pay rate is not super high it is enough to keep me satisfied. I have been paid countless times and have made over $1,000 from them so far. I have not even been working at this site as much as I could. I would definitely recommend this site if you are looking for some fast easy cash.

The Easiest and Best Way to Make Money Online Neobux

Scammed out of my time and effort

I have always wanted an opportunity to work from home and this seemed to be it for me. I signed up and started entering data right away. I worked until my fingers cramped and I finally reached the point where I take out money. once I requested a payment, I gave it a few days and nothing showed up. I tried calling the admin and they did not answer or return any of my calls. this is when I started thinking that I may have been scammed. it has been a over a month since I tried requesting my payment and still nothing. I gave up on it and accepted the fact that this program was not legit. my recommendation is to steer clear from this and wait for the next work at home opportunity.

I use Key For Cash

I have been employed by Key For Cash for about a year and a half now. It is very hard to make money with them at times, but during tax season when they have lots of typing to do, you can make around 75 dollars per week typing if you just spend a few hours per day on it. The waiting list for new employees is always long. I am pretty sure that they've hired way too many people by now and that is why there's barely any typing to do. But if you want to, give it a try.

Not an exceptable online company

I gave Key for cash a shot because I had ran into it on the search engines. I decided I would give it a try and only spend a small amount of my time working for them. Key for cash really did seem legit and considering the fact that they had been around for a while, I figured that they were.

I worked on the site for about two weeks tops and all of my efforts went unnoticed. I emailed Key for Cash numerous amounts of times asking for my money earned and I got no response! So my time pretty much got wasted with this company and I’m pretty upset about it. It’s a lesson learned and I guess that’s all that matters. Key for Cash had major potential until they didn’t pay me for my work, unacceptable.

Near to a fake job

I am really interested in doing data entry jobs on-line and currently I have more than two projects in my hand. After hearing about this website I signed up and received a response that my registration was complete and after that no response from the site.

This is a deception

When I registered to the Key for cash site I had good expectations an thought that entering data is a quick and easy way for acquiring cash, however the site itself proved me wrong.

After spending weeks on the site I reached the limit of entered data and I was now eligible to acquire cash from the website. Unfortunately there was no response from the site even after multiple requests. After repeated attempts to report an error and requests to transfer cash to the administration, I gave up and was disappointed.

The allotted time and the input of work in the website did not bring any results. Therefore I would not recommend anyone to waste efforts in this site.

Another worthless data entry scheme

I joined Key for Cash being my third and probably final data entry site I have joined. I really liked the idea of doing data entry and getting paid for it, but it seems like most of them are scams. Before I joined it seemed like everything was legit and that they would give you all the help and everything you needed to get started. Well right away I got a high enough score on the test to become a member. I was then in and decided to start making money. By the time I got going I was really liking it and hoped it would be legit so I could continue. Like it always goes, I tried to cash out my money and never got a cent. I tried emailing support about a hundred times because I was hoping it was a mistake or something and they were legit, but I still have never got an email back to this day leaving me labeling this one a scam!
