Mail Chimp Description

MailChimp is a web-based email marketing service. The service allows you to run email marketing campaigns and use autoresponders to deliver scheduled messages to your prospects. You can also create professional emails, get detail tracking information, run a newsletter delivered in html and manage multiple customer lists from one interface.

Email marketing is one of the best ways to keep in touch with your customers and build a dependable source of income. There are many services now that cater to online businesses who want to take full advantage of email. MailChimp is one of the newer services on the market right now. Let’s take a look at the features they’re offering.

Mail Chimp Detailed Overview

The first thing I noticed upon signing in was the clean design of the interface. You can switch between the dashboard, campaigns, lists and analytics by using a tab. You’re also presented with a tour and learning center which provide video tutorials. When using a service like this, it’s really important to have an organized interface especially when you’re managing multiple lists.

MailChimp has all the features that you would expect from an email marketing service. You can use unlimited sequential autoresponders, personalize your email, manage unlimited lists, import lists, customize forms to add personalization, and utilize automatic email bounce management.

When you’re ready to start, simply go to the campaign builder and choose between text, html or RSS. By choosing to send an HTML email, you are presented with a few templates you can use, but the more useful tool is the WYSIWYG email builder. You’re given the ability to create high quality emails and design them the way you want (there’s also a header builder). After that, you go through a 5 step process where you set up all the details including where your replies are sent, the “from” address, and the tracking details.

I really liked the way MailChimp lets you use list segmentation. You can really get detailed information on your subscribers with the form creator. You can add a drop box menu, collect a specific date (imagine running birthday promotion), add address fields, phone number fields and more. Later on, you can search for specific characteristics and target customers that are more likely to purchase a certain product.

There are some really neat features that help MailChimp really stand out in the marketplace.

The first is the Inbox Inspector, which is a tool that allows you to preview what your images will look like before sending it out. You’ll be able to see the email on many platforms such as Outlook, Yahoo, MSN, Gmail and more. So if you find that your email is broken on these platforms, you can go back and fix it before you send it out to your readers.

The second is the ability to split test your email campaigns. This is a feature I’ve waiting for a company to add. You can A/B split test the day you send mails, subject lines, promotional offers, the content of the email and so much more. You can test on a small random sample of your list and use the data to roll out a winner. For example, you may find that one subject line resulted in 40% more opens than the other. This kind of data can result in more profits and better responses.

The third is the reporting features. I am in love with the way you can analyze your data on MailChimp. You are presented with a pie chart and a percentage of your opens, bounced, unopened and clickthrough rates. You can then compare your results to industry benchmarks to know where your campaign stands.

You’re also given the option to see where in the world your emails are being opened from and view an overlay (if you’re html) that shows how many times each link has been clicked and its percentage of the overall clicks. And since you can use Google analytics with MailChimp, you can also get detailed tracking data that shows your ROI percentage, conversion rates, gross profits, net profits, visitor value, and more.

MailChimp is registered with all the major ISPs, email providers, and really are on top of things as they are members of many email organizations such as ESPC, AOTA, MAAWG and EEC (explained on their site). Third party tests show that it has of the highest delivery rates at 95-97%. They also do not let everybody use their service (like shady biz op publishers) and offer domain authentication like Domain Keys and Sender ID to further increase delivery.

There is great support provided by the company. Customers can use the knowledgebase, manual and video tutorials. Additional training is also provided in their blog and with their weekly webinar. To reach their staff, you can either submit a ticket or talk to them using live chat. The only bad part is that they don’t offer telephone access, but overall, they are very responsive to your tickets and chat.

MailChimp is one of the more expensive services on the market. The pricing structures are $10 a month to manage 0-100 subscribers, $30 a month for 501-2501, $50 a month for 2501-5000, $75 for 5001-1000, $150 for 10001-25000, $240 a month 25000-50000. This is 20-40% more expensive than other services on the market, but MailChimp has more features than any competitor right now, and they’re constantly improving.

Mail Chimp Reputation

MailChimp is one of the best email marketing solutions out there today. There are so many features available with their services yet it’s so easy to use. The interface is well-presented, and they offer great analytics that allow you to really improve your email campaigns and streamline your email marketing.

The service has received positive reviews from customers and continues to do so. Just remember that if you want to get the best available, you’ll have to dig into your pockets a little deeper, as they are amongst the most expensive solutions out there. Luckily, you can register a free account with them for a trial run to see if it’s for you before you make the investment.

Super tool!

Me and my best friend are using MailChimp for about 13 months. We send around 15,000 emails to promote our recent vlog and tweeter posts. I have been paying attention to what we have been doing lately and there is something that catches my attention, which is the RSS feed campaigns. It allows us to send regular emails automatically as well as showing our recent posts on our Twitter simultaneously and fast. It is reliable too.

Great Email Marketing Service for Newbie

Recently I have started CPA marketing. I have some clients also which I have collected from my previous freelancing job. I am a newbie in CPA marketing. So I think, why not take advantage of email marketing software. I have used many software but among them I found out MailChimp is the leader of all. I specially use their Entrepreneur package while I am a newbie. They are actually awesome. Now I have more than 1200 subscribers on my MailChimp account. Now I think I should buy their Growing Business package but the price is high for me as a newbie. By the way, I love it. Oh! sure it is 100% legit. Always Thumbs UP!

Best Email Marketing

Mail Chimp is the best web mail service. According to me email marketing is a must for long term returns. As an affiliate, email marketing helps to hold our customers for a longer period. I found this service very effective. The price is little high but it's worth it. I am generating lots of commissions only from this service. Just 2 or 3 products per day with this service rocks. But it should be used wisely. I am loving it's incredible features which impressed me a lot. So it's 100% legit program. Thumbs UP!

Great tool for active bloggers

I know a friend who has been using MailChimp for about 6 months. He sends around 15,000 emails to promote his recent blog posts. I have been paying attention to what he’s been doing lately and there is something that catches my attention, which is the RSS feed campaigns. It allows him to send regular emails automatically as well as showing his recent posts in his blog simultaneously.

Great tool, highly recommended for active-bloggers.

Best Web Based Email Service

Mail chimp is definitely the best web based email service I ever used. I searched for hours for an email service or program that suited my needs and I finally found Mail chimp through a forum. I had to send emails daily to thousands of my subscribers and Mail Chimp was inexpensive and efficient. It's very user friendly and gets the job done. Also it has a lot of different plans to choose from.

Email marketing

Ok. I know all marketers are aware that one way of gaining visitors or gaining more money is by email marketing.

Mail Chimp is the best email marketing service out there. Even if their price is a little expensive it is still the best to send emails to people. With High inbox rate.

If you are sending 1000 emails and do it manually, Good luck to you if you can finish it in 3 days.

But with this service, one day is long enough to send those 1000 emails. The best part is you can use themes in sending. To make it more appropriate.

Pretty simple to use

I started using Mailchimp recently to send a few newsletters and I found the free version really easy to navigate. If only the EMS I use through my work was so simple!

The only downside is the pricing; I wouldn't be able to afford to use it if not for the free version because my newsletter doesn't generate revenue.

Chimp got a peanut from me

Mail chimp a postmaster who looks like a monkey..

Auto responder is inevitable part of IM, and I too decided to go for it. But when I checked Aweber, prosender or any other auto responders, they all were way beyond my reach in terms of cost. Then I came to know about Mail Chimp, at that point in time they were offering free service till you have 500 contacts in your list. But now they have increased the limit to 2000 which is very good. They also have email limits which you can use on a monthly basis.

Once you reach the upper limit you just need to upgrade the plan and continue the excellent service.

GUI

I love the carbonized UI, it is very user friendly with big fonts. Navigation is very user friendly.

Ease of USE

I would give 75/100 for ease of use, it can be improved a bit more.

They have an excellent tutorial on how to use it.

Mail delivery

I never faced any issue with mail delivery

Reporting

It is one of the specialties of Mail chimp, I like the reporting very much, it gives lot of valuable information about the mail delivery and comparison chart referring to the industry trend. It is very important for improving our campaign.

It is a very nice service, I do recommend for newbies and experts.

Makes Monkeys Out Of Newbies

Due to financial constraints, I have to choose a Free For Ever auto responder such as listWire, or one where I can start free and build up as my list/s grow.

ListWire to it's credit has a very good 'unofficial' manual which covers most of what most beginners would need, but ...after reading countless reviews I decided to opt for MailChimp. Unfortunately, starting from scratch is like wading through mud. They're 'Jolly Chimp, Fun' intro videos all make assumptions that you already know the basics.

For example, starting out commences with Setting Up A List. The first thing they tell you is "How to import your list to Mailchimp". Duh, I don't have a list, that's why I'm here!

Having trawled through three different pdf manuals, and watched several videos, I'm no further on than before. When you are expected to enter information in a box, how about explaining what the box does, and an EXAMPLE of how to enter it?

I'm going to try again as I want to use their product, but they need to sit down with a REAL NEWBIE, and find out where the faults are with their starting out instructions.

I couple of my pals found the same, and both gave up.

I've given a C above, as I believe there is a good product here, but their guidance for newbies is awful, not awesome.

Cheers

Service and Effectiveness

I am currently searching for an ESP provider and was recommended to use Mail Chimp. One of the major contentions I had with some of these ESPs was their delivery capability to Yahoo! Mail. Yahoo is extremely difficult to maintain a positive record with and I was in desperate search of a solution.

I used a pre-defined HTML source code which scored a minuscule 0.1 points on the spam scale (4.5 is where danger can begin to emit). After embedding the code and sending a test, I was sadly disappointed to see that Yahoo failed to send.

Now, I would not write a comment like this if that was the only problem. I have seen many carriers who have fallen in to the same Yahoo Mail trap.

My problem was the Support I received was other-worldly (in a bad way). While I opened up a free account to test the program, if I wanted their spam checker, I would have to pay for it. The agent I was working with was less than cordial and while claiming that he was sorry for my frustration, certainly did nothing to alleviate it. I understand that I can be biased in level of support expectations having worked and operated support call centers for 7+ years, however, I have never experienced someone who has simply not tried to help.

Additionally, I was shocked and outraged at the monkey image at the top right of the screen with it's cute link suggestions as it suggested a link to a youtube clip that possessed profanity. I am a young person and I can appreciate humor, even crude in it's own right, I am just shocked that a professional company, a player in the email market industry would promote such a video.

Mail Chimp gets an A+!

PROs:

- free option (doubled from 500 to 1,000 subscribers);

- quite user-friendly if you are beyond newbie experience;

- simple interface;

- automatically shows mobile-friendly format of your lead capture page if it is being viewed from a mobile device.

CONs:

- user-friendly for newbies only if they watch the available video tutorials (unless you're just a natural);

- if you need to go beyond the free option, it's more expensive than competitors' offerings; however, by the time you need more than the free option offers, you should be more than able to pay the fee. ;o)

Comment on MailChimp

MailChimp is a good autoresponder and is free up to 500 subscribers, but it is complicated to figure it out. I still can't find out how to set up the follow up messages. I like the service and I really need help finding out where do I click to start my follow up messages?

Can you please tell me were do I click in the MailChimp dashboard to create the follow up message? I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Good Advice in their Blog

Mailchimp service provides more than just a mailing list service. I receive their blog articles in my email inbox. I have one there now today to read--and great useful information on various aspects of marketing your services, business, brand or blog articles. I have an artist marketing blog and often check out services to recommend to my subscribers. I have added a link to Mailchimp to my blog under the subheading Art Marketing.

SO far so good

I like the free emails that come with it the most LOL. I feel it is very easy to put together... from time to time it does however get stuck when trying to edit the headers. Is not super user friendly because as with other products out there it really helps you to know HTML, but it is pretty easy in other aspects. I would say that for a customer that's not into the IT world, they can get someone to set up their emails the first time around and then the customer would manage the sending him or herself.

Right on, easy and effective

Mail Chimp is so easy to get used to and really mitigates the time you spend monitoring affiliate mail and responses. This interface allowed me to have more positive feedback on my website, therefore happier customers. The professional look of the emails it automatically responds with are nothing short of excellent. I haven't found anything to complain about, and straight up it's one of the easiest affiliate email marketing interfaces I've used. Definitely worth the 50 dollars, good for affiliate marketers.

I'm getting my money's worth

Mail chimp is the best. I am currently using the $50 service and I must say that I'm getting my money's worth. The platform is very user friendly and easy to use. At first I didn't know how to use it properly. But it did not take me too much time to get the hang of it. They give you the opportunity to communicate with your prospects in the most effective way. I currently have over 2,000 subscribers and I'm getting sales every single day. Mail chimp has really boosted the potential of my affiliate marketing business. I can now sit back while the autoresponder does all the work. The mails you send with mail chimp always looks professional. If you are into affiliate marketing, I think you should try it out, it delivers.

A Great Way to Deal with Email Campaigns

This program is very user friendly and helpful in sending out and tracking your email campaign. For a small fry in internet marketing, such as myself, their easy to use system works out very well. The best part of it all is that they have a free service. `

Their templates are easy to use. My email campaigns make me look rather impressive, thanks to Mailchimp. Their autoresponder system can’t be beat. I love how Mailchimp takes care of the sign-ups and un-subscribers.

The support you get is friendly and helpful and gets back to you the very same day.

This is a service that I highly recommend. You won’t regret it.

Mail chimp works

Mail chimp is very different then all those auto responders out there. I know I here such great reviews about Aweber and Get Response, but with Mail Chimp I can setup my auto responder more quickly and way more easily. I tried Aweber before and it was just so confusing and annoyed me from trying to configure it. With Mail Monkey I don’t have to sit around for hours trying to figure out my campaigns. I just set it and forget it, which has made my decision staying with Mail Chimp final. If you are confused about list building and using an auto responder, use Mail Monkey, definitely for newbies.

Beats anything in the market

I've been with them for only 1 month and I'm loving every minute of it. They have a good amount of templates, sign up process is very straight forward and they have a free plan. It doesn't get any better than that.

At first I was a bit confused by all the options I was presented, but quickly learned the basics by watching some videos on youtube.

I was worried that the support wouldn't be so helpful (email only support) but it was a surprise when I received a response in less than an hour. The guy who helped me out was pretty funny and helpful at the same time.

After 1 month, I'm glad to say I'm a happy costumer and will stay with them for a long, long time. Nice templates + easy to use + nice support = Worth it.

Like Having An Assistant

The name of this program "Mail Chimp" says it all. It is a very easy to use program that does what it offers. I just start a new activity that required me to set up an auto respond e-mail list and this site helped me immensely. It was quick and easy and best of all free. I was worried at first that it might add extra things to my e-mail and tried to spam my clients but it is completely legit, saves me loads of time it is like having an assistant to help with my work load. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Service

Any email marketers looking for easy sales? I suggest using Mail Chimp! I am currently paying for the $50 per month service and it has paid for itself over and over again. I have 3500 subscribers now and generating conversions on my emails is easy! I can send an unlimited amount of emails whenever I want, which can generate anything from 2 - 5 sales per day. Mail chimp has an unbelievably easy to use interface which takes a few seconds to understand. If you don't want to pay then mail chimp offers a free service which is just as good, but if you want to experience the full power of mail chimp then I suggest paying for it.

I absolutely love Mail Chimp

This service is extremely easy to use. All you do is set up your promotional email and you also have the option of sending it in HTML or text format which I really like. Sending an email promotion is very easy. The other thing that I really like is that they do comply with the spam regulations which is really great. Best of all this service is free, you can monitor which ones have been opened, and how many actually clicked through to your website. This service is great and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to do an email campaign.

Very helpful in email marketing

Mailchimp is an email autoresponder and email networking service that is very helpful if you are active in email marketing. I have joined this website for a while now, and I love their service. The service is very helpful for my CPA offers. The great part is that it is free to use, and very easy to set up. I was able to build my email list very quickly with this website. I am getting great results from this website as well. More people are coming to my website which is in turn netting me more sales. I have already made a couple hundred dollars from this program alone! This is a very helpful tool in email marketing as it saves you the time of having to create an autoreply for your email campaign. Overall, this tool is great, and you’d be crazy to pass up the free membership. So try it out, you have nothing to lose!

This Site Is A Must

I joined Mailchimp.com about 3 months ago and I absolutely love it. Aside from the name which is hilarious, the service is professional and outstanding. I am a free member and was able to build and grow my email list quickly. I am getting great results from this program as I check my stats constantly. This feature is very handy when you want to know who is reading your emails and so forth. It is a must for beginners and alike. I feel that I am getting the exposure for the business that I need with this program and others will too. You just can't go wrong. The fact that you can be successful even as a free member is definitely a plus.

Works great

For a free service I thought Mail Chimp was going to be kind of crappy. I was completely wrong. It's great at auto reply and fantastic for networking around the globe for anyone looking to expand with a low budget. I still use the service and have yet to have a complaint from any of my clients. I decided I didn't have enough addresses to actually buy an account but if I had a bigger list and a bigger income I would consider buying the service. For now I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decent free address saver.

A little simple but still good

This program is alright, but I found it kind of simple. I was expecting the aesthetics to be better, but it runs fine and does what it should. Also, I love the name :)Great mailing system. Much better than hotmail and gmail. Definitely would recommend it. Didn't keep it very long because I still prefer hotmail over anything.

Mail Chimps good deal

First off I love the fact that this service is free. It was easy for me to figure out and use. Setting up my account was as easy as one, two, three! If you have your own business then designing an email to send to your customers has never been easier. I have even gotten some compliments on this since using Mail Chimp. Plus I can send up to 6 emails to my customers before I have to pay a cent. Ingenious if you ask me!

This is a great site

This site is amazing. I signed up expecting for it to be useless. But this site has everything you need to start building a list of people from around the would. This is like building your own personal safe list. I like how many stats they have. I mean they show you everything from how many people from that country are signed up to how many people have opened your email you sent them. This can really help build your downline. I would recommend this to anyone who is wanting more leads for their business.

Really cheap or even free

I have been using Mail Chimp now since I heard about it 4 months ago.

Apart from spending 10 minutes laughing at the amusing name because I'm just that immature, I found the sign up process to be really quick and simple. Setting up my list was pain free, and I've not had to pay a single penny for the 83 addresses I have in my list.

Its a pretty self explanatory system, and it's great for anyone needing this service because it's free up to 600 addresses I believe, and after that, the small fees would pay for themselves from your increased earnings.

Perfect for beginners

The write up for this company left out a few things. I recently switched from AWeber to Mail Chimp as for me it is cheaper. You get 600 sends for free. You also get $30 in credit for any paying referrals you send them and the referral gets a $30 credit too. If you do the math on this you may find that you could possibly use Mail Chimp for free for a long time if not forever. I also find the set up way easier and much more fun than AWeber. The only thing I don't like is the parameter for sending the first email from an auto-responder starts at "one day from now" instead of "immediately. "

How Can You Go Wrong?

Having an autoresponder is important if you are trying to build a list online. I signed up with MailChimp and tried it out. Seemed like a no-brainer since it's free if you have less than 100 in your list. I setup a list, created a sign up form, and added email messages. Overall, I found it easy to setup and use.
