Megagoods, Inc. Description

Megagoods, Inc. is an online wholesale drop-shipping company that provides a membership program for people who want to sell their products for profit. The company deals exclusively in electronic products such as cellular phones, digital still and video cameras and video game players. Members in the company’s drop-shipping program can sell the products directly to friends and family members, through online auction sites, and through their direct store websites provided by the company.

Megagoods, Inc. Detailed Overview

One way to make money at home is by selling products through a wholesale drop-shipping company. Megagoods, Inc. is a specialty wholesale drop-shipping company that deals exclusively in electronics. Many people choose to sell these types of products for commissions through drop-shippers because they are usually always in demand, which means that you can make sales on a regular basis.

When you join as a retailer for Megagoods, Inc., you’ll be given your own online store front, where you can choose which of the company’s products to feature at any given time. You’ll also get your choice of domain names for your store, among a large list that the company has. Once you get your online store front set up, you can then do your best to get visitors to it, and hopefully convert a lot of those visitors into buyers.

You can also sell products from Megagoods, Inc. through online auctions. Most people use eBay, since it’s the most popular online auction site on the internet. The company provides its members with training tools and guidelines for selling through eBay. Some of the products available through the company are new and some are refurbished, and sellers will be able to tell by the way they’re marked on the products list.

It costs $14.99 per month to sell Megagoods, Inc. products. For every order placed for a product through you, there’s a fee of $1.50. There’s no contract, so you should be able to cancel at any time. Products usually ship within one to two days.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Megagoods, Inc. Reputation

The majority of the feedback on the Megagoods, Inc. wholesale drop-shipping company leans toward the negative. There have been numerous complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and posted in some online forums about the company making unauthorized charges on member credit cards, and being slow in refunding customer money, or not refunding it at all. There were also complaints about inferior products. The company’s reputation does not seem to be a good one, and any dealings with them should probably be done cautiously.

Practically a Scam

This is one of the worst drop shipping services I have ever used. Nothing on the site has even remotely whole sale prices, in fact prices are only slightly less than or equal to retail. I tried to get some cellphones from the site and they arrived two weeks later packaged very poorly. Upon opening them they had chargers the would not fit in American outlets and it turns out they weren't even unlocked. They would prove impossible to sell. I then tried ipods which I was actually able to sell but I kept getting complaints from my customers that the batteries/headphone jacks/other components would fail. The ipods were faulty or poorly refurbished. Long story short, I can't believe this site is BBB accredited and I filed a complaint against this site shortly after using it. Also, I did make money, but it was barely enough to cover the membership fee. Do not use this service because it is practically a scam and it will prove difficult if not impossible to make any sort of profit.

Buyer/Seller BEWARE

I don't have much to say other than this was NOT wholesale, NOT consumer safe, and NOT marketable to any measure. I made no money off this site, in fact I LOST money. I sold something and only made three dollars off of it, bought something which NEVER came, and it seems to me the only repercussions that follow for SCAM ARTISTS is a slight ban! Ebay, Craigslist and Amazon are the only reputable sites on the web. Use those, and those alone. NEVER trust Megagoods. Too good to be true? Most definitely.

Trying to copy eBay - but it doesn't work

Megagoods Inc., when I first saw that title, I thought about it. These sites try to find ways for you to make a profit. When I signed up for this, it was completely different than what I thought. First of all, I didn't have that many products to sell. And when I saw what price I have to sell them for, I realized it will take so long to get me a profit. 15 dollars a month is all I'm getting after extrapolation, and that's the membership fee!

There are plenty of other drop-shipping sites that guarantee profit instead of this. I think the problem with Megagoods is it's price. As a result, signing up is not worth it whatsoever, because their prices aren't 'wholesale' type prices.

What The Heck

Megagoods I gave a D because like most people on the internet, I am into making money. I am a big ebayer and I thought "hey, this website looks good", well not only are the items I found over priced, if I were to buy them I'd lose money on ebay, it's barely wholesale at all. It's just a joke!

Not wholesale

I have graded this program a D only because you do actually receive most of the items you pay for. Albeit the items are not like advertised as "wholesale" prices. I found that a good amount of items are cheaply made or are a fraction below what you may get at a local store. There are plenty of drop-shipping programs that may be better and have better pricing. It probably would be better to register a business with your state and contact real drop-shipping companies so that you may get "true" wholesale prices. After my buying 20 items my profit of 60 bucks was not worth my time. Through my research I have found others who feel the same way. Save your money I don't think this program is totally what it advertises and not worth the price of admission. But hey it might work for you.

Very vulnerable to scamming

I've joined this site to become one of the buyers there because it's said that this site is one of the cheapest shops online. Right after I joined, I'm starting to browse around to find a cheap interesting electronic stuffs. I've finally found a cheap alarm clock that looks great so I immediately bought it. It's said that the shipping will take around 2-5 days, but after a week, I haven't received the item. I've reported it to the site and they said that it's a scam and the account who made that sale has been banned. However, even until now, I haven't received any refund from that scam which is really disappointing. They keep saying it is still in process but it's been almost a month now so this site is absolutely weak in handling a scam.

Not worth it at all

I joined this site because I've seen many blogs about it, and since I had many products to sell, maybe the site would've helped me after all. So I created an account costing 15 dollars, then started putting up items. They actually went pretty fast - I was selling iPods, so many people wanted it. But what shocked me was how much I sold it for. It was basically 5 dollars more than what I bought. Because many people didn't rely on my products being new and working well, I got prices that were so low, and were hard to imagine. At the end there's a possibility that I paid more for the membership than what I have gotten for a profit. I don't recommend this site - because the prices are low and there aren't many people buying.

And another thing worth noting is, if you increase your prices, your sales go down dramatically. So this platform doesn't really work well at the moment.

Lost money with this

This is one of the many different marketing solutions I found recently. At first I thought that I will be able to earn some profit with my sales in Megagoods, Inc. I also thought that this will be a great place to buy some products wholesale. The decision of joining the site was wrong and I wasn't able to see any results. The membership also was quite high and I really regret signing up. There were some claims that Megagoods actually got approved by BBB and this made the service pretty legit in my book. I was willing to make some projects a reality but this wasn't the right way to do it. When I saw the price they definitely didn't seem like wholesale and were a lot higher than I expected. What I earned from the site was no more than 60$. I bought some products, but I the return I got was almost insignificant. It took me quite some time to make the sales and it really wasn't worth it. This place was definitely not offering good prices and I am not recommending it. Better stay away since the only thing you will do is waste your time.

Are they serious?

Megagoods lured me into their whole little operation they have going after reading up on them on a few blogs. Which must have been the people from their company making it sound so perfect, because after actually signing up, a buying a few products, I was totally disappointed with the quality. This was one of the very first things I did online before stumbling into the affiliate world and this was a horrible start for me. I purchased 10 products just to start and was very excited that I would see some quick sales. I got my first sale 2 months later and profited 3 dollars, after negotiating the price back and forth. Needless to say, this wasn't the numbers I was hoping for. After 6 months I sold all of the products I initially purchased and profited 55 dollars. So basically I worked for six months and gained 55 dollars, seriously. Leave this place alone. This is a very well thought out scam.

Scammed me of money

As I am constantly in search of new online marketing ideas, I have a small budget and many debts. I decided to create a small internet business, and I needed to buy wholesale for great profit. I found Megagoods, Inc, which they say are approved by the BBB, and I thought it was be perfect for my ideas. I was completely wrong. Megagoods, Inc sells products after markup price, and they advertise as selling for wholesale. I was stupid enough to buy 20 products, and after taking about 3 months to sell them, I only made a profit of $39. To my dismay, I was able to find many of the same products for a dollar or so more in places like BestBuy. Megagoods, Inc is a total scam, and they will try to trick you to buy hundreds of products advertised at wholesale, and then sell them at regular price.

Megagoods = criminal enterprise

Googling their address 2741 S Alameda St. Los Angeles, CA 90058 and the main phone number associated with it 310-499-0151 reveals a myriad of websites designed to rip you off.

I used one of their web portals (nextstarmall.com) to buy Microsoft software. What I received was high-grade counterfeit, that would install, but not pass genuine advantage validation.

I have already filed a report with the local police. Tomorrow, I will file another with the FBI (cyber crimes division), contact the LA police, the office of the Los Angeles District Attorney, and the California Attorney General's Office as well. I will also take legal action against any of the companies that issued their SSL certificates.

I am shocked to learn that there are complaints about this company dating back to 2006. How is it that they continue to operate?

Not Wholesale just a total Scam

I have always been a fan of drop shipping as a way to make some pretty easy money if you find a good supplier. Megagoods Inc. apart from a dodgy sounding name, seemed like a good place to expand into the electronics market as I was mainly dealing with designer clothes before. Guess what, big mistake!

Nothing went right with these guys and the worst part was their prices weren't even wholesale. In fact, I found some items cheaper at the local shopping center.

In the end I only put three orders through and made a small profit, but it was definitely not worth the aggravation and stress that I experienced when compared with other drop shipping companies I have and still do work with.

It's mega crap

I was looking to start selling electronics on the side to make some profit to pay for my online ventures. I was looking to buy things wholesale and sell them for a nice profit and also buy cheap things for myself.

So when I saw this place, saw they sold wholesale and that they were BBB accredited, I figured this is a good place to start.

What I got once I joined was a website that offers electronics at prices you see at any of your local stores, I could honestly find these things cheaper on ebay, and then the actual items that are cheaper are refurbished/re-certified. I would suggest you stay far away from this site, for they do not offer what they state, they are making money off every purchase you make as well.

Worst Service... Don't even try to use it

MegaGoods.com sucks man!

I used them and it was horrible… they never answer emails or phone calls.

I put in orders and was put into pending authorization for 2 weeks even after I faxed them the required drivers license and credit card copies. A week after that I decided to cancel my orders because I had to give refunds to my customers.

A week later they send my orders out to my customers that I had given refunds to…. I emailed, called and left emergency messages telling them to cancel shipments.

No response.

When the phones showed up after much crap… they turned out to have European chargers.

Most of the stuff they sell is crap anyway. Refurbished stuff… you have to watch the items page to see if it says refurbished. it's not even good refurbished stuff. it's the second rate refurbished stuff. With scratches and marks on them.

I have already filed two complaints with the Better Business Bureau against them and they even lied to them saying I never sent emails or called and the only message I sent was on January 4th… a week after my canceled order email to them… and I have proof. I kept all emails.

They suck.. stay away from them. They charge you $15 a month for their crappy service and all you will get is negative feedback from customers on ebay and tons of emails bitching about the quality of product and how long it took to ship.

No Wholesale here

This site claims they are offering a wholesale price on goods and offer dropshipping to your customers. First off their prices are not wholesale, they are almost full price and sometimes even higher than your local store. A lot of their items are refurbished and are sold at new unit prices as well. And forget it, when you do get a sale, the item will most likely be out of stock. Dealing with them is a headache. And yes, they charge a membership fee for this. In the end, could not get a sale because pricing is too high to compete with other real wholesalers.

Overpriced and misleading

This site is an absolute waste of time and money. First of all, it’s stupid that anyone should have to pay a company in order to sell things for them. Especially not a monthly fee. Putting that aside, I checked out the trial anyway. This ended up being a huge mistake. The prices are so outrageous that it would be impossible for you to make decent money, and the monthly fee you’re paying just makes it worse. I have no idea how they got through the BBB, but I would advise everyone to stay away. Fortunately, I was able to cancel before getting charged but even that process was frustrating. If you choose to sign up for this, realize that the “retail prices” advertised on their site are highly inflated and the “wholesale prices” can be found online or in stores without paying a fee.

Good Thing I Tried the Trial

Who would want to pay to be able to sell products online? I found this company to be completely pointless due to the fact that you have to pay and they would not cancel right away after I wanted to discontinue the service. I found that you can make 10 times the profit you make using Megagoods by simply selling your products through eBay. I feel like this is a complete scam just trying to make money by offering the same thing that free websites offer. I would not recommend this product to anyone as it has nothing good to offer you.

Megagoods, Inc worthless

This membership is completely and utterly useless. They offer a service that allows you to sell products online. Well for me it was useless, I found the same results using amazon.com and ebay.com. Both of these websites selling my products for a mere .30c just to add a picture at my own discretion. Adding a picture is completely up to the seller. This Megagoods, Inc is a big waste, just use ebay.ca to sell your goods. You can also sell services on other websites as well. The only upside to Megagoods is the help and support they provide when you subscribe, but again, I would not recommend this membership to anyone.

This sight is a JOKE! Unbelievable!

Hey everyone! Ok MegaGoods... yea this is a total waste of time. I ran up on this because it was late and I was searching as usual. I went through and read everything and it SOUNDED good (keyword sounded). Well to make a long story short, I enrolled for the 7-day trial. Well of course it was a bunch of you know what! I went to cancel because it just wasn't working out. I talked to someone and they said I would be canceled. Next thing I know I was charged two times by the time I realized what was even going on. I called and informed them of this technical error. And I am currently still waiting on the refunded amount and it's been 2 weeks. Definitely RUN from this one, don't walk!

Pointless Waste of Money!

I recently tried out the 7 day trial for Megagoods. At first I was amazed by the cheap prices on games and other goods. Then I decided to do some personal research of the prices from Megagoods and compare it to other online retailers such as Amazon and Play-Asia, after researching about three of the products I realized that the prices from Megagoods were the same if not more than that from Amazon and you have to pay a fee for Megagoods! In my experience with Megagoods, I have found them to be a gimmick and a scam. I contacted Megagoods and queried them about this and they emailed me saying their process was to purchase the item at a reduced wholesale price, sell it to you at a lower price than retail and then for you to sell the item on eBay. I believe that in this process the product exchanges hands too many times for you to be profitable. I purchased one game from Megagoods when I first tried out the 7 day trial (before researching), the price was identical to Amazon even with the fee added, so I wasn’t ripped off. However I was disgusted by the slow shipping times this company offers, I received the item 23 days after I purchased the item! I don’t recommend Megagoods to anyone.

Dont be a sucker

Mega goods, you are the biggest scam around today, honestly everything you sell at these so called discount prices can be found on amazon for the same price or even cheaper. The truth behind them is they get their products at wholesale low price, raise the price for you and then your supposed to raise the price on ebay. There are too many middle men in this service. I say run away from this site, if you want to join something like this, just buy from amazon or stick to buying and selling on ebay. Skip this one.

BBB Accredited doesn't always mean trustworthy

A 7 day trial period is pretty short, especially when your success depends on your sales. Even so, I decided to give this site a try after seeing that it was trusted by the BBB. I thought that at the very least I could buy a few things at wholesale to sell or give as gifts before the holidays. After signing up, I looked through their online catalog of "wholesale" prices. It was extremely disappointing. Most of their prices are the same or sometimes MORE than the prices on retail sites like Amazon. For example, their price for Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 is 19.99. I bought this game for the same price last week on Amazon and I didn't have to pay a fee to do it. In fact, the "retail prices" displayed on the site are higher than you would find the items anywhere in store or online. This makes it look like you can sell them for a lot more than they're worth. It is misleading and unethical.

Noticing this, I asked to have my membership canceled before the trial was over. I didn't think I would have to worry, since the site says you will not be charged for your first month. However, they still charged me the monthly before finally canceling my membership. I am working on getting a refund now, but I advise everyone to stay far away, or at the very least, look at their catalog first.
