Grade Project4hire ...

Project for Hire is an online service owned by internet marketer Abdoulaye Sangare that brings together people who need to outsource some of their internet tasks, and the freelancers who can provide services. Buyers can post projects that they need to outsource on the site, and freelancers can bid for the projects. Some of the many services provided by freelancers through this site are website design, software programming and copywriting.
There are very few internet marketers who know to do every task that is needed to run an online business and successful internet marketing campaigns. Outsourcing is usually needed, and Project4Hire is a place where people can come and post the jobs that they need done, then wait to hear from freelancers who are interested in doing them.
Project4Hire is free to join, and buyers don’t have to pay anything more than what is agreed upon between them and the freelancers that they hire. Buyers post the projects on the site that they need done, and freelancers will bid on these projects. Buyers can look at profile information on the bidding freelancers and find out such things as their areas of expertise, length of experience and even what kind of feedback they’ve gotten from other buyers.
Freelancers can join the site for free as well, but they do pay a percentage of the money they earn to the service. This fee has to be paid to the service before a project is started, and it is charged at 5% of the fee that has been negotiated between the buyer and the freelancer. Most of these types of sites don’t charge until a project is finished, which makes Project4Hire a little different in this respect. The service does require buyers to put the freelancer fees in special escrow accounts before projects are started in order to ensure that freelancers will be paid.
A few years old, Project4Hire is receiving mostly positive feedback from the people who use the service. Though there will be complaints and issues now and then when it comes to buyers and freelancers, the service does what it can to prevent these issues and resolve them if they arise. Overall, people seem pleased with what the service provides.

As a buyer I don’t have to pay any fee I needed some copywriting services for my sales websites. I know how important is the content. This is why I subscribed to Project for Hire. All I had to do was to post my job and I got 5 bids. I picked one freelancer. I like the fact that as a buyer I don’t have to pay any fee. I only paid the freelancer for the work he provided. I was able to check the profile of the freelancers. This made it easier for me to pick the best one. I wanted a freelancer with experience in my niche. I was very pleased with the content I received. The work was completed in time. For the future I will post more jobs on Project4hire. |

This is not for me I have joined several sites that offer to bring buyers and freelancers together in one site, so that buyers can post jobs and freelancers can bid. This system is pretty much the same for all the other sites I joined. What I don't like about Project4hire is that they require that freelancers pay a 5% "Project Acceptance Fee" when they win a bid and accept a job. I haven't encountered any other site that requires this, and for me, I don't really see the point why I have to pay a project acceptance fee when they can just deduct their cut or their fee when the buyer pays me. I also didn't like that their support takes almost forever to respond, and this is also quite evident in their forums. I have seen people complaining about having issues when withdrawing their funds, which is why I just decided not to continue bidding for jobs in this site. I don't think I will recommend Project4hire to my friends who are looking for online jobs because they just might end up with a headache.

What exactly is there 4hire?! This is a freelance outsourcing website that really tries.. you can't blame them for that, but the bottom line is that it is not the best or even second best website for you to go freelance. There are not a lot of projects and unless you are a programmer or a designer, you'll get 0 projects in a long time! As a buyer, things are nice, you pay nothing to place your project and bids slowly get in. However, 85% of the bids are from NO RATING users. This means you can't evaluate a freelancer based on his rating because he ain't got one. Also, the website design is just lame, no upgrades, weak color scheme and lots of ads that puts you away from what matters. They make messages on the site small so that there is room for ads. Not good and not a solid choice for your outsourcing needs.

Try to do better I discovered this before I used LimeExchange and was really disappointed that my project has been hanging for some weeks. I was only able to get some bids. My website needed a programmer that time and I posted my project expecting lots of bids. ProjectforHire is doing great, it's just that the freelancers registering for them aren't plentiful enough or should I say they are not the best on the job. I also learned that the freelancers will be paying a fee for the site and the buyers won't and I think it's unfair for them. I will be giving this site a grade of C. I am hoping that they will improve.

100% unprofessional Computer oriented freelance jobs. The website goes up and down. It's hard to be hired, and it's full of spam. Both sides have to pay fees and the money is not available when it's supposed to be (I made the math), which is after 30 days... Yes, you need to wait 30 days (to prevent fraud) after they hire you. Using PayPal and Co as proxy for payments shouldn't make people wait that long. They don't answer to emails, and when the money is available, it still requires an 'unspecified' amount of time to be processed (it should be instant, using PayPal). The website presents serious flaws, and lack of design. Maybe they should take advantage of it and hire someone to make it better! You might find something, but don't think about it as primary source!

Buyer Beware! As a buyer that needs services, you need to be very wary. First, if you have any problems, and need to contact Project4Hire, they will either not contact you back, or they will take so long, the issue may become irrelevant. This is unheard of behavior in view of the fact that you may be spending hundreds or thousands of dollars. Based on my own experience, I selected a programmer with 10 stars, but my job, which was supposed to be finished in February 2012, has yet to be completed July 2012. It probably will be completed, since the programmer is still working on it, but this defies expectations. In addition, the reason why the project is continuing, is because I have been incredibly patient with the lack of skills/understanding of issues the programmer has. My recommendation would be, if you don't mind losing your money (low priced project), you might have a good experience, but I wouldn't select them if you have a high price project. Buyer beware! Update: They finally responded to my email. I waited a full month for customer service to respond to one of my five emails addressing the same issue. I have never heard of customer service taking an entire month to respond to a request. It's stunning. |

Worst freelance site ever, enough on the market As other reviewers have mentioned, the way they handle money is horrible. You have to pay decent sized fees. As a freelance coder, I can get jobs on elance or odesk. I don't want to risk my money with a scam. Combined with the fact that money is ridiculously hard to pay out, and you have a scam, or a badly designed site.

They did not pay me when I worked as a freelancer Project4Hire requires that freelancers pay a fee to freelance and wait 30 days after completing a project before getting paid. I paid the fee and waited the 30 days but they still didn't pay me. I contacted them and they said that they would pay me after completing a review. I waited another 30 days and they still did not pay me. I emailed them again and they still did not pay me. I lost money by freelancing on Project4Hire. Definitely not recommended. |

Scamworthy My experience with this site was horrible. If your bid is accepted, you must pay Project4hire.com before you can receive the client's contact info. The payment is a percentage of the accepted bid. If you are unable to make contact with the client, Project4Hire.com is supposed to refund your fee. Unfortunately, that's easier said than done. They do not respond to emails and they do not answer their phone. So, in my opinion, a total scam.

This great and cheap I am very pleased with my choice to start outsourcing my projects and my articles with project 4 hire. I now have more time to spend doing more profitable things. I found that project 4 hire offers very low rates compared to it's competitors, and I also believe that their workmanship is unmatched. I have not had a single problem with any of the projects I have outsourced with them. It is a great place for freelancers and buyers to meet. If you are sick of sitting at the computer for hours creating your articles and such, then this is worth a try.

Hire Fee wards off potential customers I discovered Project4hire a couple months ago, and I am quite disappointed with the results. My project has been in the same place for well over 3 weeks, and I wasn’t able to get many bids. The freelancers need to pay to accept a job, and that wards off many potential programmers that I most desperately need. The site wants to make money off both buyers and hires, and that hurts both of us. I am no longer using Project4hire, because it makes me no money, and is only wasting my time. I hope the site can improve because I am desperately in need of good programmers for my site. I rate this site a C.

Certainly not the best choice When it comes to freelance purposes I have to say that at least for me Project4Hire was not the choice and I wasn't able to achieve good results. I came across the service about three months ago. I found it being discussed on a forum and decided to give it a shot. First thing that made me a bad impression was that the site itself wasn't professionally made and the layout was quite bad looking. Despite of that I registered there just to find out that the offers were not as good as I thought they will be and in more than a month there was just one task that was suitable for me. It seems that the site is just not popular enough to be worth the time. Other than that, the concept is really good and it has potential. I believe that maybe after several months Project4Hire will be a good place to earn some money and get some projects completed. So overall I was able to earn just around 50 bucks from the site which is far too low in my opinion. I also tried the other side of Project4Hire and I was able to find some good freelancers to help me with a task I had to do on my site, but the problem is that it took me more than three weeks. Unfortunately I wouldn't say that Project4Hire is the best choice when it comes to outsourcing, but it might actually work for some. The site is just OK in my book.

Doesn't offer enough for both buyers and providers As a buyer, I am always looking for reputable outsourcing companies to work with as I am in great need of experienced freelance writers & designers. Even though it's free to join Project4hire as a buyer, I found it a bit lame that freelancers have to pay in order to accept a job. I posted a couple of projects but most of the freelancers were not willing to pay the fee in order for them to accept the project. When I eventually found a freelancer who paid the fee, the work they produced was unsatisfactory and so I had to reject the job they did but I offered to pay the fee back for them. I think if they did what most outsource companies do like just charge freelancers a standard membership fee or just remove a commission fee from what the freelancer is owed then they would be an ok service. I pulled out my projects from there simply because I did not find any qualified freelance providers which is probably the downside of this company. They have inexperienced or unsatisfactory providers. I rate them a D from my experience and wouldn't recommend buyers to use this site. |
