Site5 is a hosting company that focuses in high end servers and great support. They are differentiating themselves from other companies but putting lesser customers on a server which improves load time and performance. They also deliver excellent support by not outsourcing their support department and using technicians that directly work with the company.

Site5 is a hosting company that has been making a wave in the hosting industry. The company is accredited by the BBB and approved by customers using RatePoint. They decided to take the standard hosting services further by offering a customized version of cPanel to their customers.

The company’s hosting is on a linux server and they carry such features such as PHP 5, Cron Editor, SSH, SSL, Python, Perl, Ruby On Rails, and more. The service also includes FrontPage extensions, domain parking, automated backups, downloadable log files, and email encryptions.

If you decide to go ahead with their shared hosting, you’ll get unlimited domains, subdomains, disk space, bandwidth, email addresses, email forwarding, and MySQL Databases. The plans can be as low as $4.95 per month and as high as $10.95 per month. They also do not charge a set up fee like other companies do.

The basic plan ($4.95 a month) gives you unlimited features for everything except for domains. The hostPro plan ($7.95 a month) gives you unlimited websites but doesn’t include a dedicated IP address. The hostPro + Turbo give you all the featuers of the hostPro but include the dedicated IP address and MultiSite capabilities.

The plans vary on the length of the contract. The cheapest rate are for a 3 year contract, then a 2 year contract, a 1 year contract, 6 month contract, and the most expensive is the monthly contract. The great thing about the plan is that the company offers a 60 day money back guarantee so you can test drive the service before you are committed.

Let’s move on to their customer service. They offer contact by live chat, email, and a knowledgebase if you want to figure things out on your own. Their support isn’t outsource so you can expect to talk to representatives that know what the company is about and what kind of issues customers deal with.

The uptime figures are pretty outstanding. According to third party tests, uptime percentages ranged from 99.8%-100%. Although many companies advertise a 99.9% uptime, this isn’t always the case and it can range a few percentages lower. In the case of Site5, they exceed their promises and you’re also put on a server that isn’t overcrowded.

In conclusion, Site5 has received rave reviews from customers. I have to say that the service you get with Site5 is much better than the service of the big hosting companies. The support is excellent and they even offer a guarantee that few would in the hosting industry. Their plans are also incredibly cheap and the uptime is amongst the best. Site5 : A top quality service for a good price I strongly recommend

My main website was hosted before by ovh, a french company which is simply a disaster. All my websites are hosted on site5 since a year now I can just tell I am 200% satisfied by their service! Their support is excellent and professionnal (I usually get an answer a few minutes after asking). And their prices are interesting, specially if you are hosting many websites. A very positive experience. I strongly recommend them!

Great hosting site

I have hosted sites on Godaddy and Yahoo hosting companies before I tried Site5. I heard about this site through blogs and read positive comments, so I tried this site. My experience with Site5 were great. I found Site5 web hosting prices are good for me and technical support is great too. They offer redundant hosting and reseller hosting. I tried redundant hosting. I recommend this site because they offer cheap hosting and quality service.

My views on this

Thanks for the review first of all.

Pros-

I have tried this host many a times to host few of my sites. They provide a very good, as well as cheap hosting and are making a true place in the competition. They are ready to help me anytime if I have a problem and they provide a pretty good uptime.

Cons-

Although, most of the times their services are up running and working excellent but I have not been that much satisfied with the services. I understand that the services have to be closed for maintenance of the servers, but sometimes the servers are closed for a pretty long time and with what I end up is a sad time for the users of my site.

Conclusion-

All in all, I think their services are very good unless you have a site which has a huge amount of data, and attracts a lots of users. From my personal experience I will grade it as B-Pretty Good.
