Smorty is an online blog advertising program owned by the company Ashop Commerce Pty, Ltd. This program works by bringing together blog owners and advertisers for mutual benefit. Bloggers can earn money through the program by providing content on their blogs about advertiser products and services. Advertisers can choose the blogs through which their products and services will be promoted.
There are two ways to join the advertising program Smorty: as a blogger or as an advertiser. You could even join as both if you like. The program is appealing to bloggers because they can make money by simply doing what they do anyway: posting content to their blogs. The program attracts advertisers because having their products and services talked about on blogs, especially with links to their sales websites, means better search engine rankings, more traffic and more sales.
Smorty basically works by being the broker between advertisers and bloggers. If you register and qualify as a participating blogger, you can check the site each day for tasks. Advertisers submit the kind of blog advertising that they want to Smorty. Once the tasks are approved, the program makes them available to bloggers, along with what they’ll pay. Tasks can be simple posts on your blog about the advertiser’s product or service, advertisements and text links placed within your blog, or even a straight exchange of posts and links with another blogger.
When you register as a blogger on the Smorty site, your blog must be approved before you can start doing paid tasks. Qualifications are that your blog must be indexed in Google and Yahoo, it needs to be at least a few months old, you need to be posting on it on a regular basis and it can’t contain any offensive content or graphics.
Feedback on Smorty from those who use or have used the service seems to be mixed. There are people who say that they make steady money as participating bloggers with the program. A significant number of people, however, say that they quit the program because there were rarely enough blogging tasks to do and because most of the advertisers had websites that they didn’t care to promote. The program is free for bloggers to join, so there’s no risk in trying it out.

Plenty of Other Fish in The Sea Smorty may have been a leader in paid blogging years ago, but not anymore. They took several months to approve my established blog and several months afterward I have not received a single offer. I have high traffic, decent rank and have no problem getting more offers than I can handle from other pay to blog sites. They show you other 'members' making up to $600 a month to lure you in and then deliver nothing. This company is a wash - don't waste your time. |

I thought it is a better site! I registered with Smorty after I have read some reviews about this site on forums. It seemed to me very practical way to make some extra money. I submit my blog and after several hours I got am email that my blog was rejected. They specified why the blog was rejected so I fixed the errors. It was about my rank page. I fixed that and after several weeks I could resubmit my blog again. Now it was accepted. Hurray! The big problem is that I have never found any tasks for me, so I contacted the support team what do I have to do in order to receive tasks. The problem is that my site is about earning online opportunities, so they don't find suitable tasks for me. Then I realized that you have to have a good blog with a suitable niche. So, my conclusion is that it is a good site with a good support but you need to be in certain niche in order to receive tasks. But you can also earn with their affiliate program which pays 5% from the earning of those you have referred. Overall it is a good site. |

Keep your content, this site is not worth it I have two established blogs. I make money on writing content for several sponsors. I set up an account with smorty and it took them over 90 days just to approve it. They still have no work offers available for either blog and half the time the back office won't load on start up. I'd stick with other get paid to blog sites. This one is too picky and does not have enough advertisers to go around.

After two rejections from Smorty, I am finally in, but not earning I must say Smorty looks easy on the eyes. It's very easy to register, the members' area is very organized. The first time I tried Smorty, my blog did not get approved. I got an email from them 2 days after I submitted my blog. It took two more tries and finally, I got in! That was a little less than a year ago. Unfortunately, I still haven't received any offers from them. I don't know why there's not much going on with Smorty. I don't get any updates about them at all. Digxa Widgets doesn't work as well because my blog doesn't allow javascript anymore; but even Digxa Widgets is a bit complicated; I don't understand what it's supposed to do. |

For experienced bloggers only I admit that I thought the idea of Smorty paying money to blog was pretty neat and that I signed up immediately with no hesitation. I guess I would be classified as a 'newbie' or a beginner, but I do have common sense and Smorty had a list of blog opportunities with the listed requirements. I thought at first that it was a helpful site for having the listed requirements, but when I started to blog none of them made any sense to me. Many offers left me confused. I do know how to blog, but I think Smorty needs to specify exactly what they need in a blog because, as I know from personal experience, they will reject your blog if it doesn't suit their needs. I would recommend Smorty to experienced users, but as for those of us who are looking to try new sites, it's just too confusing. |

Easy sign up, confusing process Smorty has to be one of the most confusing internet opportunity sites I've tried. After signing up with Smorty I decided to become a blogger. There are requirements, but no instructions for beginners. It is almost as if they expect newbies to know how to blog on their site automatically, and it just didn't work that way for me. I didn't get it, obviously signing up was simple and I figured with a little guidance making money would be too. I still haven't made any money with Smorty and my problem has never been that I do not know how to blog, because blogging is simple. But the requirements aren't clear and I'm tired of my blogs being rejected and the support center not being so supportive. |

You get to signup but that's all I signed up with Smorty almost nine months ago. The signup process was real easy and I had my blog approved within 3 days. I thought this was going to be a great way to make money but I was wrong. Nine months have gone by and I have only had one opportunity that paid $2. This one opportunity came about two weeks after I signed up. Since then, absolutely no opportunities have come about and to me, the whole thing is worthless. I opened myself up to a wide variety of categories, yet it didn't matter. There is no way to make money from this site. The only thing it has going for it is that it's easy to signup, it's real easy to navigate as it's built user friendly, and it's even easy to cancel which is a big plus. I cancelled my account here because it has proven to me that it does not work. I can't make money if no opportunities are given to me to begin with. I'm not sure of the whole purpose of this site, but it's not to match advertisers with bloggers that's for sure. At this time, I don't think I can recommend this program to anyone. Unless you have the magic know how of getting opportunities for yourself, you will be able to sign up and post your blog but that's where the road ends. Maybe others have had success with one or two opportunities, but I haven't. I consider this a waste of time. |

Never get a task It has been few months since they approved my blog and everyday I check in there to see if I got any assignments or tasks. Unfortunately until now I haven't gotten any. Although I didn't get an assignment from them yet, I tried to add my other blog site in there, but it won't allow me, it says I need five approved posts before I can add another blog site again.

Smorty was just a waste of time! I tried using this service a year ago, thinking that it would help me to get traffic to my blog and also earn from it. However, I did not receive any opportunities from this service since I joined. You can get backlinks from other blogs though, that is if you are diligent in writing reviews yourself. It is like you write a review for a certain site or make a blog post with a link to a certain and another smorty member will write in return a blog post with a link to your site. Most of the blog posts written with a link back to my site though are not "QUALITY" and does not entice the reader to visit or click on the link at all. Also, customer service was bad. I did not receive any response when I wrote to them regarding adding accounts. I don't with others who has used this service but for me, it was a waste of time that I deactivated my account entirely.

Never Made a Dime With Smorty After reading positive feedbacks about Smorty on various forums online, I registered on their website. I was happy when my blog was accepted, I was very eager to earn income blogging. However, signing up with this company turned out to be a complete waste of my time. I never once received assignments from them. After a while, I got tired of waiting for assignments and figured this site does not work for me, so I had my account deleted. Is it possible they don't have enough assignments for all bloggers in their system? Whatever the case, I'm glad that there are other places online that I can sign up with to earn some money. |

Smorty is pretty good I joined smorty as a blogger and submitted my blog on Monday of this week. I have already received a task! The task is worth $4 and I have to write a minimum of 100 words promoting a $50 Victoria's Secret Gift Card! I believe that I will really enjoy being a blogger for smorty because they match me with the tasks I am interested in. Of course I listed that I was interested in fashion so I assume that is why they matched me with the task of promoting a Victoria's Secret Gift Card on my blog. I believe great things are yet to come for me and my blog on smorty!

Not What I Expected I had heard, or rather, read great things about Smorty and how much I could earn there, so I decided to give it a try. First of all, it took me close to 6 months to get my blog approved. I just about gave up on it when it was finally approved. I was so happy at that point and thought, "Finally, I can really start earning!" Boy, was I wrong. Since the time my blog was finally approved, I have not made anything at all. I have had absolutely no opportunities to make anything with the site. Needless to say, it was one disappointment after another with this site, and I stopped visiting it all together. |

Worth a Try! I joined Smorty about a year ago and I did get approved right away. I received a few assignments but after that I rarely got anything from them anymore. I decided not to renew my old blog so I stopped making paid posts for Smorty. But I would definitely recommend other bloggers to try out their service. They do pay good if you are lucky enough to get an assignment. |

No More Income Opportunity I started using Smorty more than 2 years ago. It used to be one of the popular get-paid-to-blog sites. When I first started with them, I got regular blogging assignments. However, after a while, there are no more opportunities. They say that some blogs with very high PR's still get opps from them. Mine was PR 3 and I was no longer getting any. I rarely log in to Smorty now. As a friendly advice, do not bother with Smorty anymore.

Not Your Ordinary Paid Post Site Yes, it is not your ordinary paid post site. It is not a scam paid post site. As it is with other sites where approval takes a minute or two, in Smorty it takes a while. Somehow bloggers are assured that the guys behind the site are really reviewing the blogs submitted to them. It was an honor (and I was proud and happy) when finally, after some tries, my blog got approved. They are more strict with their policy about ranks and the age of a blog (should be 90 days) and also with the number of postings. Somehow I felt like I was included in an elite group because of these rule. I was approved and it means my blog is something. A month later, my disappointment with them starts to build up. There is not one single opportunity available for me! I thought I did something wrong or that my blog did not meet their requirements, but they approved it. Days, weeks, months and now it has been more than a year and still not a single opportunity coming from them. I just logged in yesterday and still no sign of any opportunity. If there is one thing that is good about the site it is that it is easy to navigate and has a eye friendly dashboard. That makes them extraordinary, a strict policy and yet no opportunities available. It was like a roller coaster ride for the members. |

Smorty Not for the Faint of Heart I signed up for Smorty about a year and a half ago when I was on a quest to try to get paid for my blogging. Smorty was another site that was a disappointment. I got my blog approved quickly within a day or two but have never gotten any writing assignments from them. They have a forum and I know that some people receive work from Smorty. But after having a membership for a year and half, I have thought I shouldhave received at least one writing assignment. I do not recommend this site unless you want frustration to ensue. |

Not that Smorty I registered my blog with Smorty 3 months ago, the registration was a breeze, then approval took 2 days, but the waiting period to get offers takes a forever!Yup, until now I haven’t received a single writing offer at Smorty. I think it was more on the demographic aspect and that’s why some bloggers receive offers while some do not. I have tried registering to other sites, but they clearly state that they do not offer their service to this and that country. I suggest Smorty does the same so as not to let other bloggers like me to waste our time waiting when there is really no opportunity. |

I thought I was the only one So I'm not the only one who didn't get any task from Smorty? I thought Smorty was very good at the beginning when there were only a few members. But when bloggers flocked the site, the tasks got less--more supply-than-demand kind of thing. It wasn't easy to get accepted by Smorty. Well, I supposed most paid to posts platforms require at least 90 days for a blog to be approved and there should be frequent updates within that period. So I had to wait for a couple of months before I finally got approved. Unfortunately, there were no tasks available every time I logged in. I think some people just stayed on the site and when a task is posted they grabbed it instantly. It was a good site with at least $6 per approved task, and you could get paid fast IF you get at least three tasks and you're lucky IF you get one. |

I hate Smorty I joined Smorty with the high hopes of making some decent money. Fat chance for me. I was very disappointed with the whole setup. I submitted my blog and was turned down. Then I did some more work on my blog and submitted it again. Turned down again. The site said I could make top dollar, but unfortunately I made nothing. A huge upset for me. I do not suggest joining unless your blog is up to very high standards. Apparently mine was not high enough for them.

Didn't Get a Single Task in 3 Months! I don't know if it was something with my blog or the advertisers but I never managed to get a SINGLE task to do! I had heard really good things about Smorty on blogging networks with many people claiming to have gotten loads of $$$ and traffic from it. Turns out that the bloggers which get the most money are those who have blogs about 'How to Get Rich on the Internet'. I stayed a member for like 3 months, checking every week or so but after getting nothing, I don't check the website anymore.

No Work For This Blogger Smorty was one of the many sites I tried while trying to earn some extra money from my blogging. I had read quite a bit about the site and thought it would be the perfect platform for some spending money, but turns out I was dead wrong. I messed with the site for quite some time (around 6 months) and not in that entire time was I ever able to earn a penny. I was only willing to blog about things related to the theme of my blog (I wanted it to look natural), but there were never any opportunities to do that. I finally gave up on the service after wasting all those months there in hopes. Smorty might work great for some, if they have the right niche, but for me personally it was a huge let down. |

Not ONE Writing Opportunity I don't know if it's just my sites, or Smorty is just not a popular enough platform, that resulted to me not getting ANYTHING from them since I signed up and my blogs got accepted into the system. Smorty was one of the first pay-to-post sites that I signed up with, so it's been more than a year already and I'm still not getting any. I can understand if I haven't gotten opportunities from the site if I was only a couple of months old in there but more than a year is frustrating. I've stopped going to the site a couple of months ago and gave up hopes of ever getting any opportunity from them. I appreciate it that they take time to review all the blogs that goes into their system, which enables them to maintain the integrity of their bloggers, which was why I was so proud when my blogs got approved. They also a have post exchange system which quite frankly, never interested me enough to join it. There are statistics of people earning thousands of dollars using Smorty at my dashboard so it must be true that they indeed pay. I just wish there was a link to those people's pages, to have an idea what these people are blogging about that they get so much writing opportunities. However, as much as these people are satisfied with the system, it never seemed to work for me like some other pay-to-post sites did. |

Additional Income from Smorty I'm registered with Smorty for around 2 years now and the first weeks being a Smorty member was totally exciting. They have a significant number of tasks and I was paid in 2 weeks. I earned about $80 before there were less jobs than usual. I don't know if it was because of Page Rank fluctuation on my blog or there were simply less advertisers. I don't log in to Smorty so often now and when I just did, I still see no new offers. So, if registering to Smorty can put some cash in your wallet? If you have an English blog with a PR 2 minimum, go ahead and give it a try. |

Smorty is Pretty Ok I joined Smorty as a blogger and an advertiser. I mainly use Smorty blogs to advise people about my products and services. I get a great deal of responses to my blogs about my businesses. My blogs have been listed in google and yahoo for about 4 months so I have had a lot of responses. I have been also offered many paid blogging tasks and I am earning a pretty good amount of money. I would advise someone who is considering joining this site to complete the paid blog offers. I would also definitely recommend Smorty to someone who is looking to advertise their products and services.
