Service Description
Sponsored Tweets is a new program by IZEA which is a social media marketing company. Sponsored Tweets is an advertising platform that puts advertisers in contact with Tweeters who are willing to place sponsored ads on their Twitter message boards. In return Tweeters receive compensation for every tweet they place and every click generated by those tweets.
Detailed Overview
All a Tweeter needs to do is sign up for a Sponsored Tweets account and fill out what compensation they expect for their sponsored tweets. Once the offers start coming in they can choose the ones they would like to do. Once Tweeters receive an offer and payment, they will start to post the sponsored ads on their Twitter sites according to the advertisers guidelines. Tweeters remain in complete control of their Twitter accounts, there is no auto-injecting of ads and each one must be reviewed manually and approved by the account owner. 100% disclosure is required, so every ad must state that it is a sponsored tweet. Tweeters may cash out their accounts once they have met the $50 threshold. Since each Tweeter sets their own prices (though Sponsored Tweets does offer pricing guidelines) it is impossible to calculate the amount of time it may take to reach that payment threshold.
Advertisers can use many criteria to choose which Tweeter they would like to represent their company. They can choose from the number of followers to the Tweeters reputation among those followers. Advertisers can write their own ad copy, but Sponsored Tweets recommends letting the Tweeter write the copy. This gives a more natural flow to the tweets and stays in tune with the overall style of that individual Twitter account. They are allowed to choose what days and time frames they would like their tweets done and with so many Tweeters to choose from advertisers have a lot of control over they type of traffic they want to generate.
Reputation
I could find no payment proof of Tweeters receiving their compensation, but I could find no complaints about non-payment either. Most of the concern regarding Sponsored Tweets is the fact that monetizing Twitter may change the way Twitter works. That is, will lose the basic essence once it is flooded with sponsored advertising. But, advertising on Twitter has been going on a long time and it is nice to see avid Tweeters getting the opportunity to earn money doing something they already do.
Domain "Whois"
The Whois information for a website lists the owner and their contact information. The Whois information for "Sponsored Tweets" is public which is generally a good thing. This indicates the owner of this site has nothing to hide.

Takes time
I'd say it takes time to get the first payout. I have been registered for about 4 months now and I have only received 3 offers. So far my earnings from sponsored tweets is about $1 for all 3 tweets. Now, I have over 5,000 followers but have never received any more offers for more than a month now. I am hoping to receive more sponsored tweet offers in the future.

Waste your time
I tried sponsored tweets through a forum. First of all, I was so excited about $1 per tweet. That was totally cool until I found out that there are not a lot of tweets for me to tweet. When I first joined, I got 2 opportunities. I tweeted both of them, but only one of them was approved. So I got my first $1 , but it's still way below the withdraw minimum. And after the first 2 opportunities, I haven't seen any of those again. There is a lot of people joining, but none of them got payment yet. $50 minimum withdraw is pretty high, it will be really hard to reach that. So I guess this site is a scam.

Sponsored Tweets
I recently joined Sponsored Tweets because I read a blog talking about how I could make money from Twitter. The registration part was very easy because all you have to do was press the allow button to let Sponsored Tweets access your account. There wasn't any work involved, so most people would gladly join Sponsored Tweets. The problem was that I didn't receive a single offer or opportunity from them for more than two weeks. I was not sure whether I should go with more tweets or get more followers. I qualified for minimum requirement which was 100 Followers and an account older than six months. I didn't see any people getting paid from Sponsored Tweets, so I'm confused whether Sponsored Tweets pays. I would suggest people to try Sponsored Tweets out because they don't control your account and spam your tweeter account. They show you a list of opportunities and you can select which to tweet on your account, so there is a sense of freedom and control which I like.
I'll still have to see further if Sponsored Tweets is a reliable site to earn extra money.

Potential is There
I signed up for Sponsored Tweets a few weeks ago and so far I haven't seen any sponsored tweets. The only tweet that that I have received from them was an ad that I joined their site in order to promote the site and help me gain referrals. That allowed me to earn 2.06$ but since then I have been waiting and have yet to see any other ads. I'm not sure if I need to have more followers, I have more than 2000 followers currently. The potential is there and the pay is better than some sites, which give you only 1 or 2 cents per click. They allow you to set a minimum that you would like to be paid for each tweet which means that you can earn without cluttering your twitter account with ads that are only going to bring in pennies.

Still Waiting For My First Sponsored Tweet
I have been a member of the IZEA network for quite a while now. I had a great experience with PayPerPost and SocialSpark, so I am expecting to have a great one with Sponsored Tweets too.
Since I have a Twitter account, I signed up with Sponsored Tweets right away when I learned about it. The program seems to be very promising and the member dashboard is really nice. They also have awesome contests for members.
However, until now, I have not been offered any sponsored tweets yet. But there is another way to earn money from Sponsored Tweets and that is through their referral system. Even though I did not receive any offers yet, I am still keeping my membership with them because I know IZEA is a good company to work for. We'll never know what opportunities can come up next.

Helping me develop my twitter campaigns
Sponsored Tweets was suggested to me by my brother who has been using the product since it first came out. He has over 15 different twitter accounts and is really making a killing with twitter alone, he said it was worth it, so here I am. Sponsored tweets is awesome for bringing attention to my page/products/offers. I had a spike of 15 percent increased visitors each day to my blog, and my wife had a great jump also using this product. I actually prefer using it over PPC, traffic comes very quickly and is all free, which is the best of course. I have not mastered twitter enough to make a lot of money, but I am working at it, and sponsored tweets make my job that much easier. The fees incorporated with Sponsored tweets are tremendously low, so that should not be a problem, support is one click away, and they always answer on time.

Good for advertising and not for earning money
I signed on as both advertiser and twitter. I have about 5 different twitter accounts and on each account I have over 20,000 followers. Since I'm a full time marketer, I signed up first as an advertiser, and I was very happy with the results I received. My products, especially my collectibles and antiques have all sold out, my affiliate products are selling very well and it has really improved my status as an advertiser and my alexa rankings have increased by 30%. I actually get more traffic to my sites through Sponsored Tweets than even search engine optimization and classified advertising. As an advertiser, this system is awesome and I give it an A rating.
But as a twitter it’s not the best place to make money as you have to wait ages before you even see $10. The maximum I've made as a twitter was $550 because I signed up with my five accounts (about $100 per account) and so I deleted my account as a twitter as I didn't see the point of it. As a twitter I definitely rate this D.
Overall the whole product is good, and if you are an advertiser then this is one place you are sure to get plenty of traffic and sales and I would encourage you to sign up as the fees are insanely low. As a twitter, you better off continuing to just do your regular tweeting as you won’t make much with it.

The results I got are impressive
I really like the idea of placing ads on people’s twitter message board. I think this is very interesting and it really works. The results I got are impressive. I subscribed to Sponsored Tweets 6 months ago as an advertiser. I had the possibility to choose what Tweeter page I want. I could write my own ad copy but I decided to let the Tweeter decide. I really like that I can decide the dates and time frames. My traffic increased with 25% and I sold a lot more products. I really recommend this to any internet marketer. It’s a great way to advertise your products or services.

Have To Be Patient
I have a little over 5 thousand twitter followers, and I found this program to be slightly below average in payments. I only received around $100 after several months of usage. I honestly expected a bit more, but this definitely isn't bad in terms Sponsored Tweets being free. If you have hundreds of thousands of followers like some high-profile celebrities and constantly tweet, then this would greatly benefit you. For someone with only a few thousands followers, I feel that all you have to do is be patient and the cash will be coming in slowly.

Good If You Have Patience
Sponsored Tweets isn't for the inpatient tweeters. I was using them for 2 months and only got accepted by an advertiser twice, paying me little over $8. Maybe this was because of my small amount of followers, but it also could be bad on their side. I believe they are still a growing network who is fairly new, so unless you have a highly populated twitter account with thousands of followers then I suggest you wait a while before joining this one. On the other hand, if you are happy with earning just a few extra dollars a month, then this is for you, just try not to expect too much from them. On a high note, I can compliment there support. They are fast to reply and very polite. Overall, it can be a good network, but I have seen better.

Still waiting for positive results
When I learned that Sponsored Tweets is a website owned by Izea, the same company which owns PayPerPost and SocialSpark, I decided to check on it and see how I could benefit from their program. Being a PPP and SS member, and seeing how both programs are working quite well for me, I knew I wouldn't have a hard time with Sponsored Tweets.
The whole interface of Sponsored Tweets is very user-friendly. So I have to give it to them. I never have a hard time navigating through the site. It's also great that they actually suggest the PPL or price per link that's just right for your blog's statistics and right now my blog's rate is $1.
The only thing a potential signee needs to remember is that he or she has to have 200 or more followers for you to qualify for Sponsored Tweets. So far, I'm just waiting for the tweet opportunities, which they promised to send me an e-mail notification of once there are any. So I'm still waiting for positive results. But knowing that Sponsored Tweets is under a reputable company, I'm not really on my toes, just patiently waiting.

Good, but you need to be pretty desperate
Initially, I was blown away with the idea of Sponsored Tweets.
It offered a way that I could make money off my twitter account, but unfortunately the first impression didn't last. While the site offers many different styles in endless customizations, I found that the revenue that it generated was rather insignificant.
If all you are looking for is a little extra cash here or there then I'm sure Sponsored Tweets will be just the thing for you, but if you are looking for a serious revenue, then this is not the service for you.

Seems great, lets see!
I found out about Sponsored Tweets through another mommy blogger who claimed that it really helped her and she had great success. So I signed up and wanted to see how it worked. The program is easy to follow and seemed very straightforward. My problem? You need to have at least 200 followers to receive sponsored tweets. So if you are a big twitter user, post a lot and have a very large following, this would be a good program for you! I do like the easy to use set up and the buttons you can post on your website or blog are cute and not obnoxious.

Great earner
My initial impression of Sponsored Tweets is WOW!
I signed up and was a member less than four hours and I received my first sponsored tweet. I do have several thousand followers but it still impressed me. I am a member of a similar site - twittad where I waited a much longer time for my first sponsorship.
You write the tweet yourself so you can impart your particular tweet style to the message. Also, there are several sponsor tweet tags to use in the text.
There is also a referral program where you earn a percentage of the earnings of your referral down line.
The site is extremely easy to use.
I recommend it for anyone trying to earn a little cash with their twitter account.

I am really happy with Sponsored Tweets so far
Sponsored Tweets is much better than revtwt, twivert or twittad. The big difference is that they pay so much better and you are even able to set your price. They pay you an upfront price for you to tweet the ad once and then you also get paid per click. Revtwt only pays per click. My profile is worth $2.62 per tweet the last time I checked but I have found that if you lower your asking price you will get more offers. I now charge $1 per tweet and I get about 2 offers a day (I have over 2,000 followers). They will even tweet it for you so it really doesn't take much time at all to earn money. You just decide if you want to accept or deny the offers. You can also conveniently sign in with your twitter account and they will direct message you when you have offers to approve. Try it. I think you'll like it. Sponsoredtweets is the best pay to tweet site I have come across so far.

Looks great; now lets see if it pans o ut
The site is set up really well, attractive and easy to navigate, so that's a big point in it's favor--worthless and scammy sites are often easy to identify just because of the way they look, and Sponsored Tweets is at least professional in appearance. Letting tweeters pick right away what their keywords are, what category ads they'd like to post, and whether they or the advertisers write the ads is also smart, putting Sponsored Tweets a few steps above Magpie (the only other similar site I've used). Now, of course, I just have to wait and see if I get any offers.

Waiting for it to happen
I am a member of Payperpost and Socialsparks, both an IZEA product. I love those two site so far it is one of my highest paid to post site. The possibility of Sponsored Tweets making it work like that of PPP and SS are promising. IZEA is a know company and handles it's clients and publishers very well.
I joined the program as soon as IZEA launched it. I love their dashboard because it is easy to navigate. The color of the site is very remarkable and memorable. The site per se is making an impact to it's visitors.
The site give it's user total control on who they want to tweet. It also provides a dashboard where in you can set an amount on your tweet. This is a good site that promises a lot, let's wait and see how far it will go.

I Have Yet To See
I have faith in this program because it is owned by my favorite companies, IZEA, who also owns SocialSpark. I was one of the early birds who signed up for the system. I think it was a month back when they started recruiting Twitter account owners who want to make money by tweeting ads once in a while. They promise to pay as much as $1 per tweet, but so far, no email has come to my inbox yet asking me to tweet an advertiser ad. But I'm not holding it against them. I assume they are still in the process of securing advertisers in the system, thus the lack of opportunities.
The interface is pretty smooth, the FAQ is not as comprehensive but it takes time to build one so I expect them to increase the items in their FAQ as time passes. They pay through PayPal, but as I said, I haven't been offered any opportunities yet so I have not been paid. I hope an offer comes soon. They said they will email me once I need to tweet an ad, so here's crossing my fingers for that.
Overall, I am pleased that I joined Sponsored Tweets when I did. Although there is no solid proof yet that the program works, with IZEA behind the scenes, I have full trust that this program will both be highly beneficial for bloggers and advertisers alike. Advertisers, especially, as it is known that Twitter has turned to be one of the most effective advertising platform nowadays.
