Twittad Description

Twittad is an online advertising program created and run by internet marketer James Eliason that works with the social networking site, Twitter. The program works by bringing Twitter users and advertisers together. Twitter users can sign up with the program and allow advertisers to use their accounts for promotional purposes, in exchange for a fee.

Twittad Detailed Overview

There are very few people who frequent the internet today who haven’t heard of the social networking site Twitter. Even people who rarely go on the internet have heard of it. Twittad is an advertising program that takes advantage of the popularity of Twitter by bringing together those who have Twitter accounts and advertisers.

As a Twitter user with an account, you can sign up with the Twittad program. Once registered, you post your Twitter account along with information on it for advertisers to see. Advertisers choose which Twitter accounts fit best with what they’re trying to advertise. When an advertiser finds s posted Twitter account that they want to use and the Twitter account holder agrees, then an advertisement will be set up right on the account holder’s Twitter page.

There are a few Twitter advertising programs that simply allow advertisers to send Tweets out on a regular basis using participating Twitter accounts. Twittad works a little differently in that no promotional Tweets are sent out through someone’s account, but rather the advertisements are placed directly on the Twitter page.

Twitter account owners who participate in Twittad “sell” their accounts to advertisers for a certain price per follower and a certain amount of time. The advertiser won’t really own your Twitter profile, they’ll just have access to it for a while. You get paid the agreed-upon amount once the set advertising time is completed.

Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.  Click here to learn more!

Twittad Reputation

Twittad is a fairly new program, and so far feedback seems to be mixed. Participating Twitter account holders are cautiously optimistic, though there are no earnings claims available yet. Some people claim that since the ads are on the Twitter account holders’ home pages, they’re not likely to be seen all that much, and this could discourage advertisers. Time will tell for this program.

Very Slow and very few offers

I registered to Twittad to make money with my twitter account. Twittad seems promising at first, however after joining after more than one year, I only tweet one offer. It seems that they are not many advertisers using their services.

You can give a try if you want, but it's not working for me.

Not as great as it may seem

I joined Twittad hoping to make a couple extra bucks off of my Twitter account. After signing up and not being able to find any campaign matches, I left and forgot about it. After a while I finally got an email saying there was a campaign match. I accepted the offer, but the advertiser did not accept my Twitter account for their campaign, so I left and forgot about it again.

This may just be because I did not have enough followers, but I personally found this website to be pretty useless and I found the system to be inefficient. I imagine, however, that one with a very large number of followers may have a chance to make some decent cash from their Twitter account.

Twittad is one of my favorite advertising programs. I can advertise my products via twitter account as I wanted and pay the cost of advertising in accordance with an agreement between me and the owner of a twitter account that I want. Relatively cheap and very pleasant to advertise here. For those of you who have a twitter account with a lot of followers it can be a media ad and earn money by becoming an advertising medium here. After I tried to promote my products through this site, I got a high enough increase in sales of my products. Immediately try this service and you will get satisfaction.

No ad is available

I have a twitter account with over 450 followers. When I first learned that I could actually monetize my twitter account, I got excited & searched for those ad services. Twittad is two of them, & thus I joined in. I posted my account, set up my ad rate & waited. After 2 months, still no ad is available. I don't recommend this to anyone unless you have tons of followers

Way Too Slow

I heard of things like this before, but I never got my hands on them. I finally did recently, and it was not worth it. I have four thousand followers and I can make some money off of this, but then again, you can make money off of clicking an ad on PTC websites. The money-gaining process is way too slow. If you can get all of the twitter users to follow you, or close to all, then it would be worth it. Otherwise, it's just too slow. I'd rather use my time elsewhere. Overall, I give it a D. I don't recommend this to anybody. You should also use your time elsewhere. Browse IMRC and find a product with good ratings. Buy that and make money with that instead.

Hello!

Impossible to get money?

I have 2000 followers and I have never received one advertisement on my account. Also, they probably target their customers on country because some people get a few ads while I never get anything.

If I got one I wouldn't have enough to receive payout. So I don't recommend this to anyone unless you have tons of followers then advertisers would probably send you a 1000 offers.

Not worth it

When joining I was a bit skeptical already but I thought it shouldn't be that hard being as though there are lots of businesses on twitter. Boy was I wrong. First I received a lot of email about campaigns but never approved for any not even the little ones that didn't seem to important. I thought that was pretty weird. Another big thing that caught my eye was their lack of privacy! They wanted me to basically give out my personal information to a business stranger, that's like dropping my social security card on the ground on times square New York. Overall I didn't earn any money, but I do believe if there is a way to earn descent on this site it's just to complicated and misleading.

Don't even bother

I signed up for this website thinking I could make some cash online. The sign up was easy to do & I got it started quickly. I made sure I had the minimum amount of followers, which was 50. I figured that I would make more based on the amount of followers I had. I did not get many followers, but I reached around 115. I used Twittad for about 2 weeks, & only made $00.17.

To make any profit on this website, you need to have very many followers. If you do not already own an account with over 4000 followers, I doubt you will even reach the minimum payout. I was very disappointed with the results, & discontinued using this website.

Great Disappointment

I joined Twittad a while back hoping that it would be something like RevTwt but I was in for a rude awakening. I always got emails regarding campaigns that matched my profile but oddly enough I was never approved for any of these campaigns therefore never making any money. I have over 7k followers but was never approved which is weirdly odd to me. I have made a decent amount with other Twitter companies but with this one it seemed to be a great failure. Twittad has been my greatest disappointment thus far. Good luck to those of you that choose to pursue this and congrats to those of you that are making money with this, but it was just a major flop for me.

Only for the serious tweeters out there!

Twittad is only for the people who have thousands upon thousands of followers. Just 2-3k isn't enough. I started with Twittad a long time ago, when my account had 2k followers. I thought that 2k followers are a lot and that I'd get lots of campaigns to promote, but for the first couple of months when I was tweeting 5-6 times a day and having less than 3k followers, I got almost nothing. It was very frustrating. Eventually I got past the 6k mark, and started tweeting more and more often (about 20 times a day), and started getting lots of good campaigns that I was happy to promote, and started making decent money with Twittad.

To sum things up; I wouldn't recommend this at all unless you have more than 5k followers and tweet consistently every day, if you do though, then Twittad is pretty good for you and you can make decent cash with it.

Mediocre at best

Ive used this service to try to earn some extra money off a couple twitter accounts. It seems there are not too many advertisers with this service, therefore not a lot of ads for what my twitter accounts are for.

If you are not trying to get a good return or sell lots of products off your twitter accounts, then this may be an ok service for you to try out.

Not enough ads=not a lot of $

I joined Twittad as the idea of making money for just posting ads on Twitter really seemed appealing to me. It looked like I could make some easy cash from this website. However, this was not the case. I found that I was not getting many campaigns at all. To this day I’ve probably gotten only about 10 campaigns which have given me around $4, and I’ve been using this service for around 3 months. So this isn’t a lot of money. The more followers you have, the more campaigns you receive. I have about 5,000 followers which is quite a lot. I haven’t made much money from this website, but if you have a website with literally thousands of followers, you might get a decent number of campaigns and get some extra pocket cash. But this isn’t a huge money making tactic at all, so don’t expect to make a huge income from this website.

Make me money

I joined Twittad when it first came out.

I have been paid once from the site so far and am on my way to getting enough funds for my second payment.

At first I was not getting any advertising campaigns. After my Twitter followers crossed the 2K mark, I started qualifying for more campaigns. Overall I am very pleased with the service. It is very easy to use and does not take much time. Here is what you do:

1. Setup your account by filling out a profile

2. Add their email address to your email whitelist

3. When you receive and a notification of a new campaign, visit their site, check out the campaign and sign up if it is something you would like to promote.

TIPS:

Make sure you fill out your profile completely and correctly position yourself in Twellow. Also, read the FAQs.

Pros:

Simple

Easy money for little work

Cons:

Not a lot of ads available

Amount per campaign is not large

Didn't work out for me

I joined Twittad because it seemed like a good way to earn some extra cash. However, I didn't have any advertisers buy some ad space on my twitter account. I thought the fact that I have over 400 followers would help me a lot, but it didn't. Several times, I tried lowering the cost for ads to be put on my twitter account. It didn't help me out at all.

There are several people who are "selling space" on their twitter account. I think one of the main reasons I couldn't get any advertisers was because of the competition. If I had gotten at least one advertiser I would have stuck with the website, but I haven't.

I don't recommend joining Twittad.

It will take forever to reach payout but I am giving it a try

I have been using Twittad for about 5 months now. I think it is an excellent idea and I just wish that it worked better. So far in the past 6 months I have done 2 campaigns. One of those campaigns was for Twittad the actual site. It seems like they just don't have enough advertisers to make the program work. I have received 9 requests to advertise on my Twitter account, I accepted all 9 requests and 7 of the 9 backed out and cancelled. I have a pretty good following of over 2,000 followers and I am very active on Twitter. The first campaign was for Elations (they make fruit drinks) and they bought my background for 7 days plus 3 tweets and paid me $3.50. 5 months later Twittad bought my background and 3 tweets for $3. So my balance is now at $6.50. The problem is that I won't be able to cash out until my balance reaches $30. At this rate it will be years before I can cash out.

Twittad not so bad

I've used Twittad for a couple of months now. I don't really pay attention to it and prefer to wait until they send me an opportunity. I have received probably 7 offers to place ads on my site, all of which I approved. I think I have earned about $3 for all of these ads.

I really haven't utilized my Twitter account, though I do have about 4,000 followers, nothing compared to a lot of people out there. The problem for the advertisers is that the ad is static, there are no live links on the ad, so no one can click to go to whatever it is they are advertising. There is only a URL which you can't even copy and paste into a browser. People are lazy and aren't likely to type the URL into their address bar. I realize this is a Twitter issue and not a Twittad issue, but it's hard to convince advertisers that they are spending money wisely when they can't get a click through. Which I suppose is why there are so few advertisers on the Twittad network.

Another problem with the ads is: when the ad has run it's 7 day course the ads remain on the site. At least they have in my case. I had to manually take them down, which isn't a big deal but since I don't look at my Twitter account very often I ended up giving free advertising to a company, something I don't really like doing.

Twittad could be a useful service but still it has several bugs it needs to work out.

Thousand of followers doesn't seem to be enough

I have a Twitter account with about 1.5-2K followers and registered it to Twittad. Since the beginning (about 5 months ago) there hasn't been any result from my participation in Twittad.

This may be due to my tweets variation which I sometimes do in my native language. Afterall, I don't tweet too much in a day (1-2 tweets), which may affect advertisers' interest.

Other Twitter revenue programs such as sponsored tweets works better for me and my tweeting style. However, yours may fit Twittad perfectly :)

I have made a whole 3

I joined Twittad along with several other Twitter Revenue programs a few months ago as an experiment to see if I could really make money with twitter. I have a following of approximately 1000 users, so I felt like a had a decent change of getting some bids to my acount. After 3 months, I have been offered 1 opportunity and that was today. I accepted, and will whore out my account to Twittad for a measly 3 for a 7 day stint. Now, if this is onging, I can pocket roughly 150 bucks a year, which for very little work on my part, Is not too shabby. To those who have joined and gotten squat for offers, have patience, but don't hold your breath. Hey, it could surprise us one of these days, as twitter continues to grow. The downside to this site, at least in my opinion, is that it is painfully slow to load and I really like to just get on with things. The ration of advertisers to tweeters is low. That is why only the heavy hitters are getting the most revenue out of it. But again, it takes time.

Long way to go

When I first learned that I could actually monetize my twitter account, I got excited and searched for those ad services. Twittad is one of them, and thus I joined in. The only requirement is to have at least 50 followers and I had more than that so I thought I was qualified. I posted my account, set up my ad rate and waited.

I actually forgot about my Twittad account, maybe due to long time of waiting, and just checked it recently. After 2 months, still no ad is available. Those lucky to receive ads from Twittads had around a thousand followers. I guess as of now, I cannot level with that, so I have to build my followers first before I expect to earn from my tweets.

I've Yet To See Any Real Earnings

As I am constantly looking for ways to monetize my Twitter account, I have the habit of trying out new advertising programs as they come out, to see if they are worth staying with for a long while. It's been over a month since I joined Twittad, and honestly, I'm slowly losing hope that I will ever earn anything here. I'm not looking to earn big, obviously, but even a few cents in my account would boost up my confidence in them. Sadly, I am still waiting to reach that stage. Like most people who commented, I chose to just post my profile and wait for advertisers to pick it out, since I it's time-consuming to search for existing campaigns.

If I ever want to see tangible results, I guess it's better to just search for campaigns than to sit around waiting for advertisers that may probably never come. But when I compared this service to the others that I already am a member of, the cons outweigh the pros, so I decided to just drop this venture and just focus on the others who are actually bringing me money, albeit very small, it gets me to the payout slowly but surely, which is how I like it. Maybe if I build my following better (I'm just close to a thousand now and in advertising terms, that's still very small) and actually get Twittad advertisers to notice my profile, I might change my mind and use them again.

Ive been member of this site for a few months now. I have a twitter account with over 1,500 followers each and whenever I do receive offers, I am always paid. I have not had any problems with them yet. Other then minor errors, everything runs smoothly and everyone of my payments has been made on time. I would recommend this site to anyone who has many twitter followers.

Another Waste Of Time

This is one of the two Twitter 'monetization' programs I was a member of. The other one was Revtwt. I did not get anything in joining both. I allowed both the sites to access my twitter account to spam a couple of advertisements each day. I actually added a thousand of 'twitter' friends. In two months though, I only got 46 clicks which translates to $2+. Two dollars in 2 months? - just a waste of time for me.

However, I constantly stumble upon these 'for sale' e-books about how to make it big in these kind of programs. I have not checked them, though. :-)

Twittad not so good

I only joined this because a few friends had joined and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I didn't really enjoy twittad because:

1. I don't really use twitter

2. I don't have a lot of followers and it seems to work best when you have a lot of followers

3. I hardly got offers which is mainly why quit this site.

The site was not fun at all so my experience was pretty boring and plain.

I would only recommend this site to people who are very active on twitter & have a lot of followers otherwise it’s just pointless to join.

Didn't like it

When I signed up for this, I found they didn't put any ads on my page or offer me any sort of payment. I poked around on Google and found they only made deals with accounts with quite a lot of followers, and they have to match well with what they want to advertise. They received some criticism for this, and many said they hated the ads being on someone's account. I never bothered to waste my time and be accused of spamming just to get a little cash, so I really didn't like this site much. I give it 3 out of 10.

Not working out for me

It was in August of this year when I first heard abut Twittad. The prospect of making money out of my Twitter account seemed promising, so I signed up for a Twittad account. I opted to post my profile in the hopes of getting advertisers to notice it and work hand in hand with me. I even set the campaign amount to the cheapest and set the duration for 1 month thinking that it will attract more potential advertisers. Like I said at the onset, that was back in August. Almost 2 months have passed but Twittad is still not working for me. So to those who are looking for ways to monetize your Twitter account, look for more lucrative options.

First Experience with Twitter Money Making - NOT GOOD!

My twitter account has been, to date, completely used for my personal reasons plus for promoting my websites among friends and some followers. I have never contemplated using it as a source of making money. I previously heard of RevTwt and some other similar programs through IMReportCard, but none of them made me wanna try them out. But when I found Twittad about three weeks ago, it intrigued me quite a bit, so I signed up.

The first thing I didn't like was giving away the your Personal Account Information to a stranger. Then, even after doing that, it's just like another PayPerPost - i. e. No Opportunities. I have about 200 Followers and I got NONE, not even a SINGLE ONE opportunity in the whole time. Now there might be people with way more followers who would be getting more offers, but if your followers are something like mine don't even bother!

No to monetizing my tweets

Similar concept with RevTwt, you monetize your twitter account. But it is easier said than done. First you had to have more than 50 followers, which was easy, but it doesn’t guarantee you any ads. I subscribe to Twittad but didn’t get any ad,s so I checked the other members and learned that they started getting ads once they had 500 or more followers! Now, that was hard.

I joined several groups that would guarantee followers but my account was suspended several times because of spammed tweets. I had to unsubscribe so I can access my account anymore. I also gave up with both RevTwt and Twittads because I decided that monetizing my twitter account is not a good idea. I want my twitter account to be more personal, so I deleted those spammers. There must be other means to earn online other than with my twitter account.

My blog

Not my cup of tea

Twittad is the first twitter monetization program that I have joined. There scheme allows you two options as a publisher. You can either opt-in for an existing campaign or just post your profile and wait that an advertiser chooses you to be their partner.

To get rid of the hassle of searching for campaigns, which I find a little frustrating in Twittad, I chose to just post my profile. For months, I have waited and waited, but never had any luck of getting an advertiser to pick my profile.

With these experiences I have learned three things if you choose to just post your profile and wait for advertisers to pick it. First, at that time I only have about 50 followers which I realized is one of the major drawbacks because obviously, advertisers are looking for someone who has a huge fan base or following. Another thing that have affected my profile from not getting advertising offers is the cost of my followers. I actually set my per follower cost at $0.75 and third, you must also be a regular twitter with sensible tweets. I may have qualified for the latter, but fall short of the former.

In conclusion, I can say that Twittad is not the right one for me right now. But if I can work on the three things mentioned above, I can have a better chance of getting advertisers and eventually earn from it. As a recommendation, I suggest that those who are thinking of joining twittad must first build up their followers base, give a reasonable price for your PPF (price per follower) and make sure that you are tweeting with sense.
